I can't say enough good things about my experience at American Tire in Carson, California. From start to finish, it was just a fantastic experience that truly deserves a long, thoughtful review. I originally went online because I was looking for a reputable tire shop that offered solid tire insurance and stood behind their work. A friend recommended American Tire, and after doing some research, it was clear why they have such a strong reputation. Alexa and the online team was super helpful right away -- we went back and forth on options, and they even helped me with a military discount and a price match, which I really appreciated. When I arrived at the shop, I met Adrian, the assistant manager, along with an amazing crew -- Andreas, Nicholas, and Rokkie. From the moment I walked in, the energy was professional, efficient, and welcoming. Andreas handled a lot of the hands-on work, and you could tell immediately that he takes pride in doing things the right way. The whole team worked smoothly together, kept me informed, and had me in and out right on schedule. They even shine your wheels up afterwards, and bag up your good tires, and store them in the car for you! This is where Andreas went above and beyond! Although, everything went well throughout my experience. There was a small hiccup when the original tires I ordered didn't arrive on time, but this is where the customer service truly stood out. Adrian initially offered to upgrade me to a higher-tier tire at the same price, which I thought was incredibly fair. After thinking it over, I realized I wasn't too familiar with that particular tire brand, and I asked if there were any other options. Instead of brushing me off, Adrian took the time to walk me through alternatives and personally recommended the Goodyear brand -- a name I know and trust. He explained everything clearly and honestly, and then said something that really stuck with me: if I could put in a little more money, he'd meet me in the middle. And he absolutely kept that promise. Because of the delay, they worked with me on the pricing, came down to make it reasonable, and helped me land a great deal on a quality set of Goodyear tires without having to pay some outrageous price. It felt fair, transparent, and genuinely customer-focused -- which is rare these days. I left not only with excellent tires, but with the feeling that I was truly taken care of. DO NOT take your car here. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I am a female. I came in there today 4/11/26 to get a tire patched. I left it there, got a call and they told me I had two nails in my tire and they were both going opposite directions and close together so they were not able to patch it and they suggest I get a new tire. I declined because it didn't sound right and ended up taking it to my personal mechanic in LA. My mechanic took my tire apart and literally showed me that it was one nail! America's Tire lied! literally tried to get me to spend money I didn't have to spend. This is a very unprofessional and untrustworthy location & they should be out of business! read more

The check in process was fast and easy . He was very attentive and answer all my questions . I was surprised how fast and efficent the team is at this location since it was almost closing. American Tire is one of my go to places. I have been going to them for tires and various service since Sears and Pep Boys in Carson closed and so far l haven't been disappointed. Not only have l purchased tires and had service there, for my Toyota Camry until l gave it to my granddaughter who was delighted to receive it one l purchased my Corolla several years ago and now l take that vehicle there. Besides purchasing tires and other services l love that l can drive my care through on a monthly basis and they check and replace the air in my tire if needed. I always make sure l check in prior to a roadtrip, and once to my surprise they discovered l had a nail in my tire and repaired it prior to my taking a lengthy roadtrip. I submitted a survey on April 19, 2026 regarding my service. My message: Case: 01117473 Subject: Appointment number 5069814739 Description: I made a 12pm appointment and arrived around 11:30. I walked in and stood inside the store and no one else was in line standing up except for those being assisted by those at the counters. Other customers started walking in. One of the employees walked and walked straight to one female to ask what she was here for service. I had to say out loud I was here before her. The employee was nervous and even when I spelled my name he was spelling it all wrong. I did not receive an invoice, that's why I only had my appointment number to provide on the survey. After my experience yesterday I will not be returning to America's Tire. Customer Service is at an all-time low, and not receiving an invoice that's poor service. Been going to this location for over a decade. I was originally skeptical going in today because my tech was a debatably young guy. However, Ryan was cool, calm, and immaculately professional as I should have expected. Got advised. Bought new tires. I was given an estimate of an hour but it took 45 minutes longer. I had an appointment today and once I was seen by a team member - I was out in less than 45 min. My issue - and it may seem frivolous - is with the theft of my Honda Accord RED valve caps. There were only 2 and I noticed it because they replaced them with 2 chrome (plain) valve caps. I probably could have accepted if all 4 valve caps were the plan black ones - but they intentionally replaced my Honda valve caps for some generic ones. Their lack of respect is right on the border of disrespect. This is not fit in with the American tire culture that I'm used to. I've used them all over the country. They have different names in different states but they honor your contract and you get a flat tire they replace it, etc. etc. I walked into this place. It is October 28 at 8:05 am I don't know the guys name didn't see a name tag it was in the check-in area kind of short guy. I was standing there waiting he walks in. He looks at me, blank stare no smile no acknowledment then walks up to a computer literally 2 feet in front of me and mumbles under his breath, I'll be right with you. I just turned around and walked out dude who hurt you first of all second of all. Leave your misery at home. This is a business. You are part of a good business. I already knew I was planning on coming in to replace 3 tires as the tread was getting a bit low. I ended up getting a flat tire late at night, 2 days before I was planning on coming in..so I guess my car luck knew! I showed up without an appointment 7:45a on a Friday to hopefully be one of the first people in. I looked up which tires I wanted to match to the recently changed one and even made sure it was in stock, and the rep just had to make sure it was truly the case. The rep was super nice and helpful and explained the process very well. I mentioned I needed my TPMS' replaced too and we were able to handle quickly. Because I already knew what I wanted to get it was super smooth and I was in and out and back to work within 45min! read more

The service itself was fine but definitely can't give a higher rating due to my experience. Left my car to get my tire repaired. I sat in the lobby and saw two workers talking in the parking lot. One of the workers put both his hands down his pants and started scratching. He was digging in there deep under his boxers and unfortunately right after he was done I saw he was the one who went directly to my car to move it in. I walked across the street to target to get disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer for my steering wheel and anything else he touched. This is not OK employee behavior for so many reasons. If you have to buy Tires Take your money somewhere else, I don't recommend this place at all save your self a headache. On March 28 I ordered 2 tires they told me that they will they would be there on Monday, they made me an appointment for Monday at 5:15P.M, when I got there at about 5:00 they told me that the Tires were there but when they went to look for them they couldn't find them. They were never ordered. I had to go back on Tuesday when I got there they offered me an alignment I told them to check if it was needed and they said yes. They did the alignment but then they said that they can only do the front alignment because they didn't have the tools needed to do the back. I ask if they would be able to do the rear alignment ones they get the parts needed and they said yes. When I went to pick up the car, the manager was there when he asked me how, I was going to pay I asked him that, ones they get the parts needed for the rear alignment, I was going to be able to take the Car back for them to do the alignment on the rear and his answer was that what I was paying was very cheap compared to what they charge at the Dealer. One of the other employees said that he would honor what they told in the beginning but the Manager said that he was the boss and the parts needed to do the alignment were too expensive. If they had told me that in the beginning I would have taken the car somewhere else. Don't waste your time and money on this place. read more

After 6 hours they hand me the key saying it's done. I pull away and none of the tpms sensors they were supposed to replace are reading. Take the car back and come to find they were never installed. No apology, no empathy, no admission of the mistake, no consolation. I just have to wait another hour because of their mistake. I understand mistakes happen, but this locations lack of customer service will ensure I never return. read more

I have been having problems with my tires for MONTHS. still dont know why i'm constantly loosing air in the same tire (no holes or nails, water test and everything was good). I was ready to just buy a whole new tire because I don't want to keep worrying about it. But they both were honest and told me not to buy one. They wanted me to save money and instead just replaced the valve. I appreciate their honesty and readiness to help. I walked in with a leak in my tire. It was my first time there. The friendly young man quickly created file for me and did an inspection on my car. The wait was a little longer than I was planning for, but they did tell me they were down a bay. They were able to fix my tire, and they did not charge me.. a free service was worth the time spent. I purchased the replacement certificate when I first purchased our car about 2 years ago. Which they repair or replace your tire for free if it gets damaged for the life of tire or 6 years. At the time I purchased it I didn't know if the tread is too low or tire is bald then it isn't covered. One of our tires was leaking air and brought it in to replace but they said it's not covered because the tread was too low and I had to pay full price for new tire. This was all news to me because when I purchased the protection they only said if it's damaged we'll repair or replace it and that's all, no mention of the tread. Joseph was the one helping me out and was kind enough to explain it and also provide discount on the new tire since I was never told the full details of the replacement process. All in all was a little upset at first and still kind of upset the fact that I still had to pay based on something that I was misinformed on but Joseph took care of it so it's all good now. read more

Well I noticed today there is a chunk of metal in between the threads, no telling how long that has been there, but since the tires are really good quality it did not go flat. America's Tire continues to deliver very good customer service and a relatively great selection of tires available for most cars. Anything not on their website can be specially ordered with a telephone call or in person. Price matching continues to be a good selling point even with online advertised pricing. Just be aware that they will help you calculate shipping and taxes for any price match inquiry. Their technicians and staff continue to do good work with an occasional lack of attention to some details, but often times they are trying to crank out as many jobs/orders as possible. Do communicate with your advisor the expectations you wish to draw attention to, thus they can pay a bit more attention to difficult wheels. Setting an appointment ahead of a visit is advisable. In addition, Auto Club members continue to receive some additional discounts if mentioned before a purchase. read more

So hard to find a place that doesn't take advantage of female customers. They will try to sell you rims and tires and make it seem that you need them. My most recent visit was for a flat tire that they supposedly couldn't fix and I had to purchase a new tire. They didn't have it in stock so they had to order it. They would call me when tire arrived. A whole week went by and no call from them. I called them and of course the tire is in. They didn't apologize! Terrible customer service. We heard they were doing free tire rotation service so we went there since our rotations were due. We weren't expecting a hundred percent full free service. We knew there was a catch and had in mind there would still be a small charge fee, but not something outrageous. Service guy Al inspected and told me its beyond rotations, and I would need new tires. I just purchased my Tesla last year and there hasn't been much mileage on it. He was gonna charge me a whopping $750... For two tires only. We went to Discount Tires and they told us everything is fine, all we need is rotations for $30 and offered us a deal for $120 balancing that includes rotating, and free balance for the life of tire. I can understand Al at America's Tire if it was a little few $ for him to haggle us on the pricing, but for $750 and lying to us about new tires is unconscionable. read more

Hands down this is my family's go-to tire shop! Every time we need new tires, we call ahead to make sure they have exactly what we're looking for in stock. It'll save you a visit. Because obvi, if they carry what you need but isn't in the shop at that time, you'll have to wait a couple of days. Just makes sense. Today, my husband called in the morning to make an appointment for a future date/time. Luckily, they were able to squeeze us in for a same-day service! Everyone was knowledgeable and honestly, they're super reliable. I love that they were on time with the scheduled pick up time too! The entire service only took 2hrs max. That really put our minds at ease so we were able to plan accordingly. We waited across the street at a cafe and before we know it, the car was ready! There's plenty of places to go and kill time. There's the mall, target, ikea and tons of eating spots. Lots to do. Price is definitely affordable for the great quality and longevity of the tires! Highly recommend getting Michelin every time.
