ZERO STARS. I normally don't like to write reviews but this one is very much deserved. Here is a breakdown of my timeline. (My bad for switching between past/present tense) Late April- I saw a 2003 Honda Civic on the Carson Honda website. It was a generic stock photo, no actual photos of the car but I didn't think anything of it. The car was actually at the Mercedes Benz of Calabasas dealership but I was informed by Carson Honda they share inventory. I called Carson Honda to inquire about it and the person I spoke to on the phone said to come in to discuss numbers- if my credit application goes through and we agree on a number (payments, etc) they will get the OK to drive the Civic from Calabasas to Carson for me to test drive. I would be under no obligation to purchase the vehicle if I didn't like it after the test drive. I went in that Saturday with my friend and was greeted by Miguel. He seemed nice, gave me a credit app to fill out, small talk, then he brought it to his manager. He returned with his manager who tried to sell me on other cars on their lot, and was persistent about leasing a vehicle given that the max car note I was willing to throw down was $200 a month. I told them I am absolutely not interested in leasing a vehicle because I want to make payments to own a car. The manager finally backed off and said he would be back after calling the Calabasas dealership. In the meantime, Miguel showed me other used cars on their lot but I wasn't interested in any of those. I was there to inquire about the car I saw on the website. Miguel leaves and comes back with the manager who said that the car has not passed inspection yet aka their "recon process" which is why the actual photos of the car were not on the website. He clearly knew the car was not available and still they had me come in. Shiesty! They just wanted to sell me a car off their lot. In addition, they mentioned transmission issues came up during the inspection which would mean the car will not be able to sell. Miguel showed me other used cars on his tablet that were somewhat in my price range. Again, they said once the car passes inspection, actual photos will be on the site.....I left with my friend super annoyed and pissed that they did not care to divulge that piece of information ( car is in recon and unavailable) to me on the phone when I made my initial call and appointment. The only nice thing was that they activated the $25 visa gift card. I'll give them that. First week of May- I hadn't heard back from Carson Honda about my credit app. Hell, they never even gave me a carbon copy of my credit application! I decided to peruse their website and low and behold, the listing for the 2003 Honda Civic had actual updated photos!! LIARS! It passed inspection and was fit to sell. They never even followed up with me. I was just curious to see what they were going to say about the "transmission issues"... I called the dealership and spoke to Geovanna who asked me how much I could put down as a down payment and she would check with her manager about my credit application. She called back promptly and said, with a $1500 down payment, I can definitely finance this car. She asked when I would like to come in and I told her I would have to get back to her when I get my schedule. She texted me so I would have her number. When I received my schedule for the week, I texted her to request an appointment to test drive the car on Friday 5/6 at 5pm. She confirmed (See the attached photo/ conversation). Friday 5/6- My dad drove from Long Beach to pick me up at work in Torrance and we drove back to the Carson Dealership to meet with Geovanna at 5pm. Note that it's rush hour traffic on a FRIDAY. These factors make for a horrible commute. We get to the dealership and are greeted by a man. I tell him I'm here to meet with Geovanna for a 5pm appointment. A lady comes out to inform us that Geovanna is on her lunch break and the guy will show us the car. I don't know about you, but when I have an appointment on the books, I make it a point to schedule my lunch before or after so I can meet with my client. Then they say, Oh, the car is in Calabasas. I was enraged. I filled out my credit application during the 1st meeting in April and Geovanna assured me over the phone that I was approved and that I could test drive this car TODAY. My first experience there was NEGATIVE as HELL and this was just getting worse. The guy went over the process with me again and I was annoyed because, no shit, I'm not stupid. I understand your process but Geovanna confirmed that today I would test drive the car. She should have responded to my text and clarified that no, I would not test drive the car and we would have to still discuss numbers. But nope, she didn't. She confirmed an appointment to test drive the car and had me come in under FALSE PRETENSES. Sadly, they fit this stereotype. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IYOvUs-ul4 See photo for rest of my review. read more

Carson Honda - Had me come in under FALSE PRETENSES. They did not have the car ready for me to test drive. Don't waste your time with these people. - Auto Repair Near Me - Carson, California

Even purchasing the intermediate package ($250+), the inspection did not cover the basics for any tune-up. Do Honda Techs ever bother checking the spark plugs? Probably not, they resort to upselling you on other service needs. Quick to upsell on cleaning out the IAC valve, but not quick to even check spark plugs offer a service package to do more tune-up. I will never get my car serviced at Carson Honda again. I'd rather go to the parts department and get better service. Auto Repair 1 stars or less. Parts Department 5 stars! read more

Ask for Mike Kiernan from Internet sales. That's all you need to know. After calling several Honda dealerships and weeks of silence, I get a call from Mike. He wanted to make sure that Carson Honda didn't drop the ball. I told him that I wanted a 2012 Honda Fit automatic transmission base model. I was quoted $16,263 by another salesman, destination fee included. He said he would honor it. He emailed me a confirmation, so the quote was even in writing. Sweet. I got a follow up call from Mike as soon as the car came in on the delivery truck. He stayed late, past his normal hours, to wait for me. Hits: 1. Mike's tenacity - his ability to follow up and remember every detail you give him is amazing. He bent over backwards to make sure I got the car I wanted at the price I wanted. Did I mention that he even went lower on the price at the end of the night? He decided to keep it simple and just made it $16,200 even. That's $545 less than normal MSRP and $340 less than its true market value. What does this all mean? According to Edmunds, Mike made a $18 profit on the car. Yeah... Mike is pretty awesome. 2. Ali Hassas - He breezed through the financials with me making every nook and cranny of the deal crystal clear. Not only that, but there was no pressure in regards to accessories, extended warranties, or additional GAP insurance. Yeah... Ali is pretty awesome too. Misses: Non-existent in the midst of all this awesomeness. In less than 2 hours I became the owner of a new Fit with just 4 miles on the odometer. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go find some novelty fuzzy dice. read more

Horrible experience!! I called to see if there was a recall on the paint for my Civic. The lady that answered straight out said NO with out taking any info on my car. I asked her if she was sure because foggy misty spots were starting to appear on the trunk and roof. Again the lady said NO and told me it might be because I have my car out in the sun too much..."Are you kidding me?!!" That answer was not acceptable with me so I pursuit to have her check recalls on my car. She rudely replied "Well do you have your VIN number" Of course I had it ready in hand and it was then that she looked it up and told me there is a recall on paint. If I hadn't pushed her, it would of been left like that. I took in the car and reported it to the manager Luis. Luis said they would have my car done in a week. It took two weeks and I was left car less. When I got the car back, these swirl marks started appearing all over the car. And my car was now a strong metallic black. My car was originally more of a flat black. I brought the car back, explained my concerns to Luis' and he seemed like he was on board with me. I was given a car rental this time and they were suppose to re-due the car but that didn't happen. It was only buffed out. Again the swirl marks came back and so I called Luis. Now Luis was telling me there was nothing they can do about it. I needed to use a different type of cloth when washing my car. Seeing how he wasn't being helpful I told him I was going to do more research and get back to him. I had another detail shop take a look and they explained the paint job was done wrong. The paint color was wrong, they pointed out bubbles all over the car too as well as the streak marks all over the car. I came back to Luis and explained to him about the marks. He tried really hard convincing me that all new cars have that problem, and it depends on the type of cloth I use. About the paint color, he said all Honda's are metallic black, which I saw the cars on the lot and they were not metallic like mine. Luis said I'll have it buffed out for you, but if it comes back that's just the way it is. He called his painter out (different guy from the detail shop). In front of Luis this painter straight out said "Whoever had done that, did a bad job. Those swirls aren't suppose to be there" That guy was nice enough to tell me to bring it in the next day and he'd take care of it. I didn't discuss the paint color with him. I just heard "bring it in tomorrow" because by this point I was so offended by Luis trying to feed me lies. So I come in today to drop it off, asked to speak to the general manager who was out for the week so I met another one of there painters. Again at this point I wanted nothing to do with Luis. I had the painter look at the car and he said "They did a sloppy job on this car" Confirming everything I'd been saying. Air bubbles in the paint, wrong paint color, fog swirls all over the car...just horrible. Now I had three other pros tell me it was a job done wrong. So now I definitely wanted the job re-done. I went into Luis office, where he wasn't too welcoming. I told him your other guy just confirmed about the paint. He calls that poor guy in the office and gives him attitude. The guy is explaining what the issues on the car are and Luis picks up the phone cutting both of us off and calls the detail shop. Luis sends me over there because now Honda isn't giving me a rental. I am left dealing with the detail shop myself. I hope this gets fixed. I'm done with Honda. Toyota all the way from now on. For the general manager save your apologies on this post. Unless your going to give me a gift card or something for months with this headache I don't want to hear the "Please call us to further discuss this" Check your staff. read more

Miguel (the salesman) and Javier (the finance manager) could not have done their jobs any better. I came in here to buy a used CR-V at around 8:15pm, knowing that they close at 9:00pm. I was sort of expecting to be rushed through the buying process due to the fact that I knew I was keeping them from going home at their usual time. I was wrong! Miguel was very friendly and worked quickly but never skipped over important details and kept me informed as to what the next steps would be They were not willing to negotiate on price but that's mostly because Honda CR-Vs are reliable and they know that each CR-V is going to sell at its intended price. The price was fair, according to TrueCar and ConsumerReports.org. And the car came fully detailed and with a full tank of gas. Javier was friendly as well, and was so professional in walking us through our option-contract that we signed (which is when you are pre-approved through a bank or credit union). When I emailed Javier the next business day asking for an update, Francisco from finance emailed me back within a few hours (I assume because Javier was out for the day). This surprised me because it meant the dealership has individual email addresses but checks each other's inboxes everyday. This was huge as it gave me peace of mind that paperwork, etc would not slip through the cracks. All in all I would definitely recommend Carson of Honda as a top choice for after-work weeknight car shopping. :) If you know what you want, talk to Miguel and the process will go smoothly. CR-V also came with 100K mile powertrain warranty free :) read more

Won't be going back to get any service done here .. Needed a oil change B1 with tire rotation Called about 3 times to ask for price and make an app (every honda dealer ship $$ are different ) Being I got quoted the better price here I book an app they quoted me somewhere around $70 something & said I can print out a coupon and get it at $60 something I printed the coupon & once I got there & finally seen I got quoted $170 something (no more then $200 sry I can't remember the amount exactly ) I do not understand how they do not know basic pricing information! Come on managers .. Invest in a big sign with services prices so your employes can know the prices. Get there & was not greeted Just had two employes looking at me & talking to each other. When I get back to pick up my car because they called me that it was ready. I had to wait because the guy who sign me in didn't redeem my coupon (I just got the basic oil change since I was already at 10%) and they couldn't find my paperwork and keys. & my car did not get no type if wash that is always included Sry but I won't be returning to this honda dealership ! read more

UPDATE: Since my posting below, Kris Kratsky, the GM of Carson Honda has reach out to me letting my know how sorry he is for my bad experience. He immediately had me bring in the vehicle we bought and fixed the noisy brake issue. Also, the paint looks much better since they did some color sanding and a detail. They also removed the locked hitch cover and Kris himself was the one to oversee all of this. They're service department was awesome as well. I still am not going to recommend working with Mike the used car manager, he still doesn't seem to care about customers. In short though, I would recommend them at this point. Sometimes, companies, like us consumers, wont get something right the first time. True colors/character is displayed when an obstacle or problem gets solved, showing how dynamic someone, or in this case some place can be. Go Carson Honda and thank you! Here is a shortened version of my awful experience: 1) they tried to get us a 12.5% interest rate on a used vehicle when we have tier 1 credit. After hassling us, the same bank got us 5.5%. The Crooks behind the sales desk would have gotten paid off the additional interest. 2) The car we bought needed panels and doors to be repainted per their promise. I got the vehicle back 4 days after it was promised. Subpar quality by far. Looks terrible, has orange peel look and bumps. They didn't want to fix it. 3) Replaced the brakes upon getting the vehicle on a trade in. They squeal so loud. After analyzing the issue both with their mechanic and a third party mechanic, both agreed the brakes were replaced with the cheapest possible pads. They admitted this and refused to replace them. You can hear us coming a mile away with how loud they are. 4) There is a locked tow hitch cover on the vehicle we bought. Mike the used car manager has promised me at least 4 times he would get the key from the previous owner for me and to this day has not called me with that promise fulfilled. This dealership is full of great people I had spoken to along the way including the service team, our sales guy and the Internet sales ladies. All very attentive and sweet. It's the upper management here I feel lack compassion and maybe have forgotten what it's like to be customer care savvy, or maybe they've never known. Either way, if avoidable, shop elsewhere! read more

I came in for a routine service (oil change, tire rotation). My service advisor was Alex Martinez. He was very nice and explained what they did to my car as well as explaining the multi point inspection. They also had free coffee/ hot chocolate! read more

This review is for the service department. Other than the outrageous prices, I'd recommend servicing your Honda here for 5 reasons: 1. The staff's professionalism, especially Irwin Ramos, is a cut above any other dealership service department I've patronized. 2. Timeliness of the services performed. You'll more than likely be getting your car back within their estimated time frame. I've been here at least 5 times now and I've never had to ask them when the service will be completed. 3. The peace of mind that your car is in good hands with genuine Honda parts and warranty. 4. Their comfortable lobby has a coffee/espresso machine, donuts in the morning, USA Today and magazines to read, and Direct TV for the guests to enjoy. 5. A free car wash upon request (I believe they use a high pressure water hose with no soap). If you compare the prices they charge for major work to reputable mechanics, you'll notice that Carson Honda will be charging at least $100-300 more in parts+labor. I suggest you go in for specials (such as $19.99 oil changes) and forgo the rest. read more

I want to give a big shout-out to Javier and Luis, who made car buying here a pleasant experience. I had previously been to 2 dealerships where instead of giving you the car you want, they try to make a deal on a car that they have in stock and then throw in tons of aftermarket stuff. Javier didn't do that, and dealt with us in a very up-front a aboveboard manner, which I absolutely appreciate. He told me what he was doing, and when he'd be back, and made everything hassle free. Once we moved everything from the car that we were trading in, we handed over the keys and were ready to drive off in Mrs C;'s new car. As Luis was checking out the old one, he pressed eject on the CD player and found one of Mrs. C's favorite CDs, which we had totally forgotten. Nice catch! Thanks Luis! read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY AND NOT THE SATISFACTION OF THEIR CUSTOMERS. I recently purchased a car from them. They told me the car was good, it was well maintained, and it had passed the Honda guidelines to sell the car to a customer, the normal stuff a dealer would tell you to buy their car. When negotiating the contract we were told they provide free towing services and free service from any Honda. 5 days after the purchase the car broke down on me. I called Ricky the sales & leasing consultant to ask which towing company I should call and he did not seem to know what to tell me he had to check with someone else to see who I should call. He then called me back and told me I could call any towing company and they would reimburse me as long as I kept my receipt. The towing companies were charging $500 so I called him back and he told me that they would only reimburse me $100. He told me I could take my car to any Honda service so I did but when I went the people there told me my warranty was not in effect yet and I would have to pay $200 to get it diagnosed. I called Carson Honda and they told me that my warranty was active but when I took it somewhere else they are telling me it is not so there is more incorrect information I am getting from Carson Honda. I took the car back to Carson to get it serviced and I wanted to talk to finance to renegotiate the contract because of all the lying they were doing and all the misinformation I was getting. I talked to Oswaldo and he told me there was nothing he could do about the car problems or renegotiating the contract. He told me that they fixed the problems and he reassured me that it would not happen again because they take "pride" in making sure their cars are top of the line. Oswaldo then brought in service advisor Naomi; she told me that all the problems with the car were because of a loose piece. I did not believe that was why because it did not make sense to me. She then assured me again that she fixed the problem and it would not happen again. She also told me that she personally test drove the car 10 miles as a test drive. I took the car on a test drive myself. The lights on the car were off and when I came back I asked her again if she test drove it and she then reassured me it was policy so I said okay. The thing is the odometer reading from the time I dropped the car off at service and the time I picked it up was the same so I do not see how she could have possibly driven the car if the odometer did not change. I took the car home that day and on the way home the car broke down on me again. I took the car back to Carson Honda and they told me that they will try and fix the problem again completely ignoring the fact that I wanted to get out of the contract. I talked to Julian the Sales Manager and he said he would talk to other people there to try and get me a new car or get me refunded which I want to be refunded because of the horrible and unprofessional work they are practicing. Julian then called me and told me he will try and fix the car one more time and if it breaks down on me again he would refund me. From the start you can see all this dealership cares about is your money and not you or your satisfaction. They are a shady dealership trying to scam you of your money. They are lying about fixing and driving the car, knowing what is wrong with the car, and about what they will try and do to help us. They are only trying to help themselves make profit. read more

First let me say...Don't believe the current slogan. "Honda is not helpful" the only thing this dealership is good for is taking your money for crappy cars. Like my last relationship....love has gone. If I could I would give this "Dealership" zero freaking stars. December 2013, I purchased a 2014 Honda Accord. The car is basically used for work and home. I've driven the car for three years and two months it has under 43,000 miles...first the battery dies (replaced), tires replaced (Sam's club tells me they have had a few owners replacing the Continental tires early) okay. Yesterday at the end of a work day my car would not start...are you freaking kidding me!! My last Toyota was the RAV4 that I had for 13 years ..the only thing I replaced were oil, brakes, master cylinder, tires and two batteries. After only owning Toyota's...this is my first and last Honda!! read more

a big shoutout to Victor in parts!.... get rid of that asshole Manager Juan !

Was looking for a specific used vehicle, and found one at this dealership via an Internet search. Spoke and emailed with a wonderful woman named Alice. We made plans for me to stop by the dealership and see the car. I had told her I was driving back from San Diego with my two young kids, and would make the stop. Should add that we live 30 miles north of Carson. When I arrived, I literally had to run a gauntlet of 8 bored salesmen hanging out in front of the dealership. I actually went through a side door to avoid them. One of them followed me inside. He told me Alice was out at lunch, and he'd be glad to take care if of me. He knew little about the car I wanted to see. Could only tell me vaguely how the car was in great shape and had been checked over by their techs. Seeing this was not a Honda car (it's a European car), I pressed him for more details. He was smiling and telling me how great it was. The price was good, but lower than it should have been. Something was off. At that point, I lost all interest and he asked me about test driving. I told him no and walked away. He followed me. I told him no again. I got back in to my car to discuss with my spouse. This guy hovered outside the car. All left a bad taste in my mouth. Alice called and apologized, and asked me to come back. I explained with the holidays, I wasn't sure I could. Next day I get a call from the creepy sales guy trying too find out when I was coming in. I told him I would not be. Then a manager called and I shut him down very fast. I did email Alice and thanked her for being nice to deal with, but said not to contact me again. She kept her promise. Avoid this place at all costs if you're looking for a used car other than a Honda. Very shady. read more

H.O.R.R.I.B.L.E! I can not express how horrible this experience was. To put this experience in perspective, it should be noted I work in law enforcement so I deal with the "worst of the worst" and am bundled with patience. I'm also educated. I had been thinking of getting a new car for a while and yesterday I finally narrowed down my choices to a Honda Civic. I do not change cars often (current car 4 years, car before that 11 years) so this is a HUGE and exciting decision for me. Yes! Time to shop, figure out the features I want, and buy a car! When I pulled in, all the sales people were lounging near the front door. After exiting my car, a man who identified himself as "Bems" introduced himself awkwardly. I couldn't put my finger on it but he had weird vibes. I enthusiastically told him where I was in the car buying process and that I was looking for more hands-on details concerning prices, options, ect. I told him I was firm on a Honda Civic. His answer, and I do quote, "Isn't that what google is for?" He then spoke to me in a patronizing manner. By the time he asked the next question, I was so upset that I told him I would google my car needs. I stood up and walked out. He offered me a pamphlet as I was walking away. A pamphlet. Seriously? This sales person totally stole the joy out of my car buying experience. I moved on to another dealership later that day and they were flabbergasted by my experience at Carson Honda as well. I cannot condemn Carson Honda as a whole but I would stay away from this sales person. I will still be buying a Honda Civic but will not come to this establishment. read more

The goal of this place is only to get you in the door through misleading and inaccurate communication by their representatives. Let me just say first that no car-buying experience is perfect, however after experiencing Norm Reeves Honda in Cerritos and Long Beach Honda, the service and deal I got at Carson Honda put them to shame. I visited Norm Reeves Honda twice and LB Honda once before being 'forced' to drive to Carson bc the other dealers wouldn't even give me the deal Honda was ADVERTISING on the internet. I first called and spoke with Alice (she's a sweetheart) and she set me up with Bems. I told him the deal Honda had online and that's what I wanted. He came back with almost the exact deal (plus a few dollars for taxes etc). Then I mentioned my trade-in (which I was upside-down on). He was able to get the sales manager to offer me the same amount that Carmax did! All-in-all probably easiest car transaction I've ever been involved in and I'm driving off the lot a happy and satisfied customer. read more

2 stars, but you have to understand that a sliding scale is involved with car dealerships. If buying this car was like eating a hamburger, this would be a 1-star restaurant. Bought a used car. Don't know if the experience is different from buying a new car. Talking to the salesguy, we get a price and a statement that "we will give you X, Y, Z." Get to finance, and we find that by 'give', they meant 'charge you for'. Finance lady was good about removing X, Y, Z, and giving us the deal we were looking for in the first place. Like riding the subway in Krplokistan, the rule with car dealers is to hold onto your wallet and keep your eyes open. On the other hand, it only took us 4 hours to buy the car we wanted to buy. Wait, actually that sucks. Honda makes great cars. It's a shame that their advertising gimmick about helpful Honda employees is (as far as I know) a sick fantasy, attempting to mask a dubious tendency toward piracy on the high seas. read more

BE KIND TO YOURSELF, DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM CARSON HONDA! I bought a "certified" used car here in July 2013 and was super bummed when it immediately gave me problems. The car died at least twice a week for MONTHS. I called Carson Honda to find out about getting help with the situation. I got the car checked out at more than one Honda dealer, including Carson, and everyone kept telling me the battery was fine and they didn't see any problems with it. I repeatedly tried to contact the salesman who sold me the car, as well as sales managers. I left messages and was always told that they were unavailable or in meetings, and my calls were never returned. What the heck is up with that??!! Guarantee that if I had called as someone who was looking to buy, my calls would have been returned the same day. Anyway, the sales department here should be ashamed of themselves. They're nice when you're buying, and they're creeps when you return with concerns. My daughter and I were going to set up a lemonade stand out front because THEY SELL LEMONS! But I decided to keep it classy and just be done with this place. On a side note, the service department people were very pleasant to deal with and didn't treat me like a stooge. Turned out it was the battery all along. I bought a "certified" car with a chump battery. Lesson learned. read more

Purchase a vehicle and paid extra for the 120K warranty. What they wont tell you what is NOT cover is the diagnostic fee if the covered part is not broken and needs an adjustment. $114+ a pop. My car lock won't work if the battery is dead and the car has only ONE manual car lock. The lock needed adjustment and was charged this diagnostic fee when I was the one who diagnosed the issue! Yep, my "broken" door lock did not work and I am locked out, but because it only needed an "adjustment" - not covered under warranty. Imagine if god forbid anything that jeopardizes your safety that only needed an "adjustment", they can use this loophole to not cover you under your PAID warranty. Quick, can you tell me your repair was an adjustment? Yeah, me neither. Buy once, cry once. read more

So I just want to start off by saying I almost decided NOT to purchase a vehicle here because of some of the horror stories I read on here and other places. First off Carson Honda staff showed me attention and provided me with help from the moment I stepped foot on the property, I drove all the way from Modesto which is about 6 hours away to buy a car from them that was at a ridiculously low price. I was extremely nervous this dealership would try to bait and switch me, one of the girls in the internet department assured me this was not the case and they even put the vehicle in the back of the dealership to prepare it for me. When I arrived my vehicle was there waiting for me, if this is your first car buying experience you are probably way OVER YOUR HEAD, I have been in sales for years and I'm here to tell you these sales men are VERY GOOD at what they do. If you do not do your research on what it takes to buy a car from a dealership like this then it is YOUR OWN FAULT. Do some research, or get a friend who knows what they're doing, or go to Carmax. I got a quote on an out the door price before I showed up to the dealership, that did not stop the sales guy and his manager from bs'ing me hardcore, they tried to raise the price of the vehicle, they tried to pack on additions into my price, and they tried to push me on their own financing when I had my own secured. Bring a damn calculator and learn how to do math. When you get back to the financing section you're going to be fed more BS about stuff you need to buy, learn how to say no, if you can't figure that out then that is YOUR OWN FAULT. In the end they ended up getting me on a $100 vehicle protection program called phantom or something, they had seriously worn me down so hard that I just agreed to it, like I said they are VERY GOOD at this. They tried to convince me it was best to go through their financing even though they were only going to match my pre-approved rate, I told them if they could not beat it that I wanted to keep my own financing, well they stayed true to their word because in the mail they ended up switching my financing behind my back to a loan that was 1% apr less than what I was pre-approved for, I could not be upset at them because they saved me a significant amount of money (and I'm sure by gaining some for themselves) Long story short don't come on here bitching and moaning because you got talked into some useless additions or fucked over on financing, DO YOUR RESEARCH, come prepared with YOUR OWN FINANCING, and an OUT THE DOOR QUOTE in hand. If you can't handle all this then go to Carmax where you will be blatantly ripped off with no chance of negotiations. Although I feel this place deserves 3 stars just because they are an average dealership with nothing special I am giving them 4 because of all the bullshit accusations people make about this place when it's really just your lack of inexperience on how to deal with sales people. read more

This dealership is downright shady. I was looking for a Toyota Tacoma 4x4 and supposedly found one at Carson Honda. After scheduling a test drive and confirming over the phone that this Tacoma was a 4x4, I came in to take a look at it. Luckily for me, I've been in the market for a Tacoma for a while, so I know what features I'm looking for, and which I'm not. I immediately looked for the toggle you turn to switch the truck from two wheel to four wheel drive and it didn't EXIST. Weird, since there's a 4x4 emblem on the back of the truck AND the truck description states it has that same capability. Not only did this dealership wrangle me into looking at a truck that wasn't a 4x4, they were falsely advertising and trying to illegally sell a truck as something that it wasn't. The dealership will try to say that this was somehow an oversight "yadda yadda yadda." An oversight in a description of the truck would be forgivable but the truck physically had the 4x4 emblem next to the Prerunner and v6 emblems. As soon as I confirmed this truck was not a 4x4, I walked next door to an actual Toyota dealership and asked about how to report this dealership to the Better Business Bureau. If I had been an unsuspecting customer and was less knowledgable about Tacomas, this dealership would have completely taken advantage of me without hesitation. Be wary and diligent about anything this dealership tells you. I don't deal with crooks. My money was taken elsewhere. If you think this truck COULD HAVE BEEN a 4x4 and I somehow missed the toggle switch, look at the picture I post and run the VIN number. You'll confirm what I just reported. Stay away from this place. read more

Stay away from this dealership, specially it's service department. DO NOT get your car serviced here. The people are nice but they are shady. Do not be fooled. They will give you false quotes and their technicians are certified but incompetent. If you happen to go here do not hesitate to go and get a second opinion. Might save you over $1,000. Good luck. I hope they don't get the chance to do to you what they tried to do to me. P.s. Honda has extended warranty for the a/c condenser leaks. They will try to make you think it's not the condenser. Be aware and get a second opinion. read more

Took my 04 Civic Hybrid in for oil service. I used to go to Norm Reeves religiously but their service has been going down the drain lately. Probably all the young kids working there. *shrug* Anyways, my Hybrid IMA light was on so I had them check it out. I even paid them $50 to look into the diagnostic code. Well the verdict was that I needed a new battery for almost $3000. I informed the service advisor that it is a PZEV and the battery is covered for 150K miles or 10 years. Well the guy told me that it is not true and he had the mechanic research it. Whatever... I took my car to Long Beach Honda and the service advisor there pulled up the information by my VIN. (How hard was that?) Sure enough I was covered and now I ONLY go to Long Beach Honda. I am not sure about the sales team here. But the Service team was not knowledgeable about warranties. You lost a customer. read more

It was such a pleasure doing business with these guys. I have visited a few dealers recently and was getting tired. I stopped by with my wife even without appointment but Mr. Terzo Pallen (people call him "T") treated us so nice and most of all, he worked so efficiently in professional manor. Everything went so smooth and we signed right away. We didn't have to waste time on playing games like most other car dealers did. We appreciate and thanks to Mr. T and his boss Mr. Lorenzo. If I have to be super picky, the lady who helped us on signing the lease paper at the end was a little pain. She kept pushing us to add options and then brought things up again and again like "You're sure you don't want this?" "You need this because..." "No problem of course..." She was getting endless text messages and checking on them every time holding what she was doing. We could've come home much sooner if it was someone else other than her. Anyways, despite this lady they got 5 stars from me because they deserve. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I choose to bring my vehicles (2011 Civic LX & 2013 Honda Fit) to you, for services and maintenance. Working at a new car dealership myself, I understand how busy it can get at times. However, waiting 45 minutes in the service drive seems ABSURD. Not to mention, I had an appointment and coupon ready. The service greeeter opened the hood to vent the engine, and then I continued to wait. After 45 minutes, I put my own hood down and drove away. On this particular day I had scheduled an oil change & a transmisson flush, neither of which were performed. I had to run the car down into the negative miles (after 0% it runs negative) because every other saturday is the only day I can get to your dealer. How you have inconvenienced me, you may not know or care? But when the %15 light comes on, I bring both of our vehicles in. Terrible. read more

Keison was my car salesman and he was amazing! He was so patient and kind and friendly. As you know car buying experiences are usually a headache but he made my experience amazing! I had my two small children and he was so great! I would definitely recommend him in particular if anyone needs a great salesman that can understand your needs and really accommodate and give you a great deal! read more

Very pleased with my pre-owned 2012 Nissan Rouge.....service was great! My salesperson was very helpful and the paperwork portion took less than 30 minutes! Buying a car can be very frustrating, but at Carson Honda they treat you very well and go above and beyond to provide good service! Thanks again! read more

Probably the best experience at a dealership I've had this far! Vinny Enriquez was really friendly with a "no pressure" buying experience! Then Alex really helped with where we are at with our financial situation and got us in a comfortable monthly payment position!! read more

This is the 2nd time in my young life that I've had to deal with the car buying experience. I was having a mini pre-midlife crisis and decided I wanted a more adult car. My dream car (within my budget) was a 2-door Accord. It didn't have to be brand new, but not a late model either. It just had to be white :) I originally started out at CarMax to get a quote for my original car. The quote they gave was fair; I took that with me when I went shopping. They were able to use part of that amount as a down payment, and I pocketed the rest :) Another thing too, if u go to another Honda dealership (like the abominable Scott Robinson in Torrance), they should not charge you interest. Please remember this, because they tried to do that at the previously mentioned dealership; they were trying to add, if i recall, about 4% interest. At Carson Honda, however, they were honest with me even when doing the paperwork. They told me that there is interest but it's in the 0.000000 of percentages. A plus for me was that I was in the top tier credit wise, so they were able to get me a very good deal (as with the other dealership they claimed I was in the 3rd). They were able to use part of my CarMax appraisal as a down payment, and I pocketed the rest :). Double plus, I was able to walk out with a BRAND NEW white, 2-door accord; more than I expected, but nonetheless very happy. My sales guy, David, and the manager Dean were so nice, accommodating, and not pushy at all. They truly felt like family after everything was done with (not exaggerating). They got me more than I asked for, and I'm so happy they were able to. I'd recommend going here. If you want a good experience buying a great car, please check out this dealership. read more

Bought a car from here a few weeks ago. I was very happy with my buying experience. The salesperson was very patient and attentive. Shopping for a new car with a toodler is never easy but it didnt take long to find the right car and send me on my way. :D (great price *bonus) ask for Ramon. read more

I recently was involved in a car accident where my car was considered a total loss and needed to find a new car as soon as possible. I used AutoTrader and found the PERFECT certified 2006 Honda Civic at an amazing price considering how new it looked and the incredible low mileage. I contacted the dealership and was put through to a man by the name of Ramon Ramirez. He was very helpful, professional, and kind. Ramon understood the circumstances I was dealing with and made it clear he was there to help and make sure I was 110% satisfied, which I was. He bent over backwards to make sure everything was fixed on the car and made the paperwork process seem effortless. My father and I were also greeted by every salesperson/representative we walked by with a friendly smile and a warm, "have you been helped?" When it came time for me to pick up my car, Dean Hayek made sure everything was up to par because Ramon had to help another customer at the time. To me, while being at Carson Honda, my father and I weren't treated as potential commission, instead we were welcomed and made as comfortable you can get when purchasing a car. I highly recommend this dealership for great service, efficiency, and of course the great deals! read more

Michael Galindo & Alan Transito are so helpful, they took their time to explain to me what my car was in need and I didn't feel pressure to make any commitments. They were very patient with me, I usually hate asking about my car because I always feel like they try to upsell me but I'm this case they were so considerate and honest. I can most definitely recommend this location, I always tel my friend and family that have Hondas to some and get their cars serviced here. You'll be in and out! read more

5/7/14 bought a used Civic wasn't able to even put 500 miles or get a weeks worth of driving on the car before it crapped out on me on 5/12/14. Be careful when buying used cars from this dealer wish I had read some of these reviews before going read more

First and foremost, I personally hate going into any dealership when considering of buying a new car...simply because of the peer pressure u get from all cars salesman. However, my experience at Carson Honda was wonderful! On a whim, my boyfriend and I decided to come here with no expectations of buying a car. We thought it would take another week or so before that actually happened, but with the great customer service that we received, we ended up buying a car the very next day. THANK YOU Lorenzo, Dean, Lily and Ozzie for the 5-star customer service you have shown us!! I'm sure you will be seeing us in the future again. read more

I see a lot of negative reviews for this place, but I had an awesome experience. I just bought a 2010 Lexus fully loaded. I had done some research and had a crappy experience at CarMax (I yelped a review) and a not so great experience over the phone with the SouthBay Lexus. Why do male car salesmen always have a condescending attitude when they deal with a female buyer? My money is just as green, baby. The internet sales rep at the Southbay Lexus laughed at me when I told him exactly what I would put down and pay monthly. My boyfriend ran the numbers ahead of time for me. Of course when my boyfriend calls him for me, he gets the monthly payments lowered. Am I not speaking English or what?! My boyfriend (who is in the auto industry) was out of town for business. He helped me find this car online at Carson Honda. It was less money than the other Lexus is250 that I was interested in, plus it was fully loaded. The other cars didn't have bluetooth or nav. I dealt with Mike Kiernan over the phone and online and Al Asgari (Mike was out when I came in to test drive it and signed the paperwork). They were both great. I told them I had limited time and as promised, they got me out at the time I designated. I took it for a short test drive since I had already test driven one the weekend before. Al asked if I wanted to drive further. No need. I knew exactly what I wanted. At CarMax, they don't seem like they want you to test drive it for very long which to me is pretty shady. The Finance Manager, Ali Hassas was kick ass. He has a great sense of humor and went over all the paperwork with me. You don't find too many finance guys with a sense of humor, trust me, I used to work with financial advisors. To top it off Al put half a tank of gas in for me since I pointed out it was almost empty. They washed it and even had it delivered the next day to my work. Ramon Ramirez was on top of everything in terms of delivering my car at the requested time. Thank you Ramon! I wasn't able to drive off the lot with it because I had to turn in my leased BWM the next day. All in all, I would highly recommend them. read more

I have been extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received from Carson Honda. I traded in my 2010 Volkswagen last month and leased a new accord. Within the first week I had to bring my car to the dealership 3 separate times due to issues with the audio system. On the third time they told me they would need my car for 5-6 hours to fix the issue and they would not be giving me a loaner car. Um excuse me, should I be inconvenienced and be without a car all day on a vehicle I have owned for less than a week? I do not think so. Issue # 2 Honda still has not given me the check for my car that I traded in to them. They originally told me I would receive it within 5-7 business days. After calling multiple times and speaking to various people, almost a month later no check has been received. These crooks basically stole my car! They have been shady since the beginning about getting my check to me. I would recommend anyone in the LA area looking for a new Honda to stay far away from this dealership and avoid the headache at all costs! Luckily, I do love my car but I regret having gotten it through this shoddy unprofessional dealership. read more
