After researching for a week I found the car I wanted at Carson Honda at a price I liked. However when I called the dealership they let me know they could not sell the car at the price advertised on their website. They market one price on their site then pull a bait and switch when you call. It was some pretty bad false advertising. To make matters worse, after I spoke with them the website wasn't updated. Looks like they will keep using the false price to lure in others and then switch it up. Don't trust the prices on their website. read more

They advertise falsely! They advertised a car for $13k and the actual price was $27k. They claim it was an error. I'm not so sure. I wouldn't trust them! Go elsewhere. Spoke to Octavio and Martha about the situation and they were just like, it was a mistake. Or was it? read more

Great experience here with Calvin and Octavio. I got a very clean, barely used Nissan Sentra for my son. It was a great find and Calvin did a good job guiding me. Octavio was great to work with on the final deal. They promised they would deliver the car with a big red bow since it was a Christmas present. When they found out they didn't have a bow after all, Octavio's wife made one for us and it looked fantastic! Two thumbs up. The only reason they didn't earn the fifth star is that the finance department took way too long to get the deal finished. I was paying cash, yet had to sit for almost two hours because they didn't have enough staff on a busy Saturday. So, these guys are great, just go on a weekday ;-) read more

This dealership was top notch professional!!! SO ASK FOR JUAN DELOA!!! He went above and beyond to make sure I purchased what I was most comfortable with. This is my 2nd purchase with Juan. He gave me suggestions and his advice. After I decided on a car the process was absolutely painless. So quick and professional. It felt like a family here at CARSON HONDA by the end of the whole process he found me a "unicorn car " yes a "unicorn car" which only means there was only two vehicles in SoCal due to being a hard find. I purchased a Honda Accord sport 2017 6 speed manual. What really surprised me was his team I cant forget about Tim, Luis and Fransisco for making my experience an enjoyable one, any new buyers I would only recommend Jaun due to the fact that he drove out 50 miles to pick up my car and still let me drive off with it the same day. I can't complain I'm happy with my purchase. Thank you Juan Deloa and everyone at CARSON HONDA!! Ps. He can find you any vehicle. read more

I've recently bought my Honda 2017 CRV Touring from Sales at Carson Honda and wanted to thank Oliver and the other sales reps (Lorenzo, Ramon) for making it a great experience. I was debating between an EX and the Touring after my car accident, but thanks to Oliver Quintanilla's thorough explanation on the differences, I was convinced on picking the Touring for its safety features and features. He was very knowledgeable and able to answer all technical questions I had on each functionality for the vehicle. Thanks!! read more

I went to make a deal, made by my broker. We had a set price and then they make up BS excuses and blame my broker for the "miscommunication" i asked for 15,000 miles saw on signing paper I was offered 12,000 wtf? I know I am young but I am not stupid, the good old "let me ask my manager" trick was trying to be used on me LOL, Thanks again, I loved the car but not the employees. read more

Vinny and Joseph are a joke. Went there looking for a hybrid or hrv. We started with Joseph but Vinny came out saying he had an appointment show up. Vinny came out saying he could do something about the mark up all car dealerships are doing now because they are greedy and trying to get you to go into debt with a car note. They want to make as much money off one car. Went inside with Vinny to talk number and Joseph was sitting there on his phone. Vinny was gone 15 minutes getting numbers he came back with 41,000 for a car listed at 33,000? How does a car go up almost 10,000 after you said you would "do something" about thr dumb mark up these dealerships are getting away with because people need cars. Nothing changed in his numbers which is sad because I was ready to buy but because of the games Joseph and Vinny were playing i left. What happened to helpful Honda ? read more

Finally got to test drive one of their used vehicles after a couple weeks getting the run around. I was a serious buyer however the salesman "Ricky" was very rude and kept asking me questions about the car AS IF I WAS THE DEALER. Like "oh is this hybrid, or does this use gas?" Isn't the salesman supposed to know that beforehand? I really liked the Chevy volt but noticed issues like a low coolant level and missing fenders. Whenever I asked basic question he constantly would just say I'll let you know once we sit down. When I asked for the out the door price and mentioned the issues found he immediately would cut me off and tried to dodge those questions saying they won't sell a car like that(Volt had heavily worn seats and 2 DAMAGES REPORTED ON CARFAX) or sell for lower(I didn't even make an offer and was willing to pay he asking price) When we were at the desk he stood up around 8:45 (15 minutes before closing)Another finance guy named Sebastian came 15 minutes later and sat down with a pen and paper and started talking without introducing himself. He then STOOD UP TO TAKE A CALL AND NEVER CAME BACK! About 10 minutes later ricky just dropped his business card saying to call him back (cause it's 9:00 and they're closed) while I waited for "Sebastian" to come back. Waited until 9:15 figured the finance guy decided not to comeback after talking on the phone Overall very unprofessional salesman using old sales tactics. They try to dodge questions regarding hidden damage (as I was already aware was testing if they were going to be honest about it) I would like to say thank you to the internet sales team named Sandra/Jessie they had excellent customer service and did a great job but it's the salesmen/finance guys that need to be changed To the sales guys don't judge a book by its cover geez read more

Service- Had a very nice service this morning. Got an Oil Change and it went smooth. The service rep was Will.

They staff at Carson Honda definitely lived up to the "Helpful Honda Dealer" advertising. After a bad experience going to a Toyota dealer looking at the new RAV4, I decided to give Honda a chance and went in to take a look at the new CR-V. I had my own financing, so I was looking for the best "cash" price. I was initially surprised at how friendly and helpful the entire staff was, I was also pleasantly surprised that they were very upfront about the prices and the specials they had going on. They were also very transparent about the trade-in value on my old car. My salesperson, Jose broke everything down for me and we both used our cellphones to look at TrueCar and KBB.com. Additionally, even though he explained about all the additional services and accessories, he did not try to push them on me when I told him I was not interested. When they came to me with the price for the car I was extremely surprised because It was actually an excellent, fair price and it was clear that they weren't trying to play the "numbers" game with me. Maybe I could have haggled for a couple hundred dollars more off the price, but I would have felt like a real cheap ass doing it. I know being a car salesperson can be a difficult job, and being an honest one is even more difficult. I really appreciate that the staff here actually helped me get a good price on the car I wanted instead of trying to see how much money they could squeeze out of me (which was my experience at the Toyota dealer). I am really happy with my new CR-V. And I am even more happy because I had a very positive car-buying experience at this dealer. read more

Possibly the worst dealership I have been too. Set up an appoint for me to look at buying a truck and was told I a deal would be made to pay of my car and help me into the truck I was looking at. I got an appraisal from USAA and was told they can match close to it for top dollar. Plus i was told they need to move inventory and that it's the best time to buy cause of the Black Friday deals going on and they "NEED" my vehicle for their used inventory. Well that was a load of crap, they came back with a low appraisal on my 2016 Civic Touring and said that's what they can do. So basically all lies and a waste of my time to be there. Definitely not a fan of this dealership and I I'll not recommend it to anyone. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. read more

I had high expectations for this place as I had reached out online and had been working with Martha for nearly two weeks and she was the greatest! I arrived to the dealer with two of my friends as they were there for support on 1/23/19 around 7pm. I came prepared with a pre-approval offer however, the dealers will always look to see if they can find better financing options. I worked with Renato who was also cool and we worked out a relatively decent deal to move forward with the purchase. I then went on to sign the paperwork with Ozwaldo (goes by Ozzy). At this point, it was around 10:30pm and I was tired and wondering why it was taking so long to draft my contract. Well turns out, Ozzy drafted a completely different contract with different terms and I found out because the finance company reached out to me the next day. I called Ozzy the next day and he acted clueless over the phone. At this point I was pissed off as I had been scammed into signing a different contract with a higher monthly payment and APR. I returned to the dealer and spoke with Ozzy and let him know that I was on to his little game and that he scammed me. Of course he acted simple but I demanded that he re-do my contract immediately and throw in gap insurance for free as he blatantly lied and tried to scam me. The entire time he stayed calm and the new contract was drafted in about 2 minutes. He even tried to throw Renato under the bus by saying that he told him to draft up the contract. Huh?! This nincompoop even had the audacity to storm out with an attitude after we finished up. I guess he was upset because whatever extra commission that he thought he was gonna get, he wasn't gonna get it anymore! I should've been the one storming out with an attitude! TF! Bottom line, I am NOT the one for the games! How many people have they done this to and gotten away with it? This is concerning! I would never come back to this place or recommend it. You'd think someone would have reached out to me for my experience but nope! At this point, it is fine because I'll be reaching out to the BBB to conduct an investigation and I will also be reaching out to Honda Corporate as this is unacceptable and not the first Honda dealer that I've had an issue with. You can't take people's money and try to scam them at the same damn time. As far as I'm concerned, this Ozzy guy is low class trash and is a bad look for Carson Honda. read more

I purchased a car here 3 weeks ago and I noticed there were scratches and a dent on the car the next morning. (I didn't realize because I got the car at night) so I took the car back and they told me it would take a few days to get everything fixed so I left it there. 3 weeks later and I still haven't got my car back. I haven't got to enjoy my new car and Im really frustrated. I was totally okay with it taking a little more than a week but 3 weeks is ridiculous especially because I still have to make this months payment. Our sales man was really amazing and I have nothing bad to say about him because he's doing all he can, but this is just really unfair. Next week will be a month and I don't know what else to do!! Also, they didn't even give me a rental!!! read more

I really hate the whole process of buying a car. It should be an amazing experience full of excitement. Not the case. They were very welcoming and the process seemed to be going well, until Sebastion got involved. I took my fully loaded car in for trade and he had the audacity to offer 4.5k. Little did he know I went to 3 other dealers to get an appraisal. That offer he made was a slap in the face, robbery practically. The 3 appraisals I received ranged from 7.5k to 8.5k. So how he thought it was ok to try to rip me off is beyond me. After I told him of the others offer he then stated let me see if corporate can approve 7.5K. I asked how can you get that approved when you came at me with a measly 4.5K. No thank you nothing but a waste of time. To top it off they forgot to give me my tegu back and since I live 2 hours away they had to send it, so I drove without my registration for a few days, lucky I was not stopped. Sick of these dealerships trying to take advantage of people that are hard working individuals just trying to get a good deal. I won't be going back to these crooks, neither should you. read more

I had an appointment (I was 5 minutes early) and it took them over an hour to see me. Once being seen they failed to tell me all of what was wrong with my car. They said that I could get my refund from Honda care after my appointment, but failed to mention that I can't get the refund until I have driven my car 2,000-5,000 miles (which will take forever since I'm working from home. There are several reasons that my family and I continue to buy cars from Carson Honda - this is our 7th! I want to thank our salesperson, Martha for being so kind, welcoming, patient, and persistent in helping us find the right car for our daughter. !BUYER BEWARE! I purchased a used Honda Civic a year ago, from some salesman named Jiminy Cricket. He promised things he did not deliver on like floor mats and a full tank of gas. But my biggest problem with this dealer is they sell cars that I believe have been in accidents. I noticed bubbling on the driver side door( about a half dollar size) before I bought it. They told me they would fix it, not a problem for me. Then in June I noticed more bubbling, but bigger. I took it in to service and they gave me the run around and try to blame me. Now it's March, quarter of the door is bubbling(3took them over a week to fix the problem. Not happy! If you're buying a used car from Carson Honda make sure you look at really good. Received a call 2 weeks after buying my car saying that the bank cannot finance my loan. Ok, this a bit of a long story but I want to tell you how HORRIBLE our experience at this place was, so please bear with me because it will really change your opinion of this place. Please read my review! DO NOT COME HERE TO BUY A CAR! My boyfriend was looking to change his car to a Honda Civic. So we went to Carson Honda, first of all we were looking at the Civics out in the parking lot, usually theres lots of sales people there trying to get sales (right?!) however there was no one out there to welcome us and to answer any questions. fine. ok. We go inside the dealership and started looking around, no one even bothered to ask us if we needed help, 15 minutes later of just standing around someone finally spotted us and asked us if we needed help. yes, we said, ok, i'll get someone to come and meet you, he said. another 15 minutes before the sales person comes to meet us. The sales person asks us what criteria we have for the car we want, and whether we wanted to take a test drive. we told him that we are just there to look. he takes us out in a white 4 door honda, we loved the ride and the car. now it comes down to the nitty gritty, we tell the guy that we are already paying $370 a month for our other car and we want to trade it and how much would we be paying. we told him specifically that we cannot do more than what we are paying right now because we are on a tight budget. So he does some calcuating, and he comes back and he says the lowest we can get it down to is $500+, fine we expected this, but was hoping the payments would be lower because my boyfriend has negative equity on the car we own right now. NO DEAL we say to the guy. THIS IS WHERE IT ALL GOES WRONG FOR US, he starts asking why? we already told him we're not willing to pay much more than we are paying right now, but he starts insisting on buying the car. Oh its only $100 more than you pay right now, he says. Nope, we cant do it! I guess he started getting frustrated with us because he feels the need to bring in the finance manager to push us into getting the car. We explain again our situation and that we can do anything more. The manager is still trying to make us buy a car, he tries to reassure us, but they just dont seem to understand. The icing on the cake has to be the "helpful honda guy" like you see in the ad's. they bring him out with his blue shirt and he tries to talk us into buying the car, and we are not budging. 30 more minutes of them asking us why? why cant you pay $100 more? its only $100! $100 is a lot especially for us being students and only working part time! for some reason the honda guy then thinks that we want to agree to the sale. he then says ok i'll write up the papers for the white civic. HOLD ON A SECOND, we didnt want the white car we test drove, we wanted a BLUE car. How DESPERATE can you be to get a sale. it ended literally with the honda guy begging us to buy it, he was like aww come on, buy it (like a little kid), its only $100 more. So you're saying you cant pay $100, its not even a lot. why not? We have never been to a dealership that has pressured us so much to buy a car, that we didnt want. It is OBVIOUS that they want the commission more than making sure that their customers are happy and satisfied with their service. They dont understand their customers needs, all they want is their money. We were mentally drained from arguing them for like 2 hours! again i stress this to all you yelpers wanting to buy a car... DO NOT COME HERE TO BUY A CAR, YOU WILL LEAVE FEELING ANGRY AND UNFULLFILLED! read more

Car Dealers can often sink into the subterranean abyss of customer service standards, and unfortunately for Carson Honda this is irrevocably the case! My situation began with an inquiry on their website, which was followed up with a pleasant phone call with Janice from Online Sales. After information was exchanged, I completed an application and was 'approved' for financing on the vehicle I desired ('10 Honda Insight EX). In addition, I was explicitly told that I only needed my registration, (trade-in) bank statements, proof of employment, and my ID. The last step was for me to make my way from the valley to south LA (Carson). To ensure my trip wouldn't be wasted, I spoke with the Dealership Manager, who seconded my 'approval'. A few hours later, my girlfriend and I arrived at Carson Honda and began the process. After sitting for nearly three hours, (should've known by then) we were informed by the same Dealership Manager (an arbitrary 'salesman' actually) that they needed actual pay stubs, and I was not approved. As the frustration oozed out, I voiced my displeasure with being "strung along" and lied to. The entire point of my doing everything over the phone and online was to ensure there was absolutely no 'snags' in the rope. The reply I received was this, "I'm afraid that the information and promises you received were incorrect, inaccurate and out of concordance with Honda polices." Once this was said, I just grabbed my things, aggressively conveyed my analytical annoyance, and left. A week removed from the debacle, they're calling several times a day, leaving messages, and being a downright "pain in my arse." Thank the Gods for Apple's instant number block feature! read more

PIECE OF SHIT!! Some guy named Julio or Jose sold me a fkn lemon!! Since this was the first time I bought a car off the dealership I didn't mind! But maintenance after maintenance after I kept getting them taken care of is ridiculous!! Car randomly turns off, remote sometimes doesn't wanna lock or unlock, risk of getting it stolen! Bluetooth, Apple Pay barely wanna work and when it do it cuts off like it's playing a fkn cd from the 90's, and on top of that, it makes random peeping sounds out of the blue, annoying as hell as if they planted a c4 in my car, ohhh and I need a new battery supposedly after I bought this car 4 months ago!!! They lied to my face. Sales dept showed me a nice honda that was fairly decent. From working in the industry, I looked at the vehicle from top to bottom and immediately noticed some things were wrong. I asked the salesperson some probing questions and he just said, "We only know what you know based on the carfax." I called bullshit because another sales rep who helped me a week prior told me something different about the car's history (the guy must've only been working there for several months to let it slip). I know times are tough. This dealership used to have well over a dozen sales reps and the recession took a chunk of them out. I know they need to make money. But to lie to a customer who trusts them? In the words of ONE-STAR YELP: Eek. Methinks not. Don't bother giving your money to these guys. One of the worst experiences. Head over to the Cerritos Auto Square or even to Long Beach. You're better off selling your soul there. read more

The reviews on Yelp for Carson Honda are all over the place, but for what it's worth, I had a great experience buying my new car from them today! I shopped all of the Honda dealerships in the South Bay area, so I'll compare them across each step of the process. 1. Getting a quote: Alice on the Internet team was the reason I decided to visit Carson Honda in person first. You'd think dealers would be used to providing/negotiating quotes over email by now, but that's clearly not the case. I asked six dealers for a out-of-door quote and all of two actually answered the question directly. From the get-go, Alice's quote was one of the lowest. When I let her know another dealership had beat it, she quickly offered a slightly better price. Alice was competent, real and friendly without being a huckster. The worst dealerships in this category were probably LA Honda, Scott Robinson Honda and Cerritos Honda. 2. Working out a deal in-store: After going back and forth on quotes a few times with Alice, we finally scheduled an appointment. She handed me off to Sebastian on the sales team, who honored everything Alice and I had discussed through email. I wound up checking out another two dealerships after, but came back to Carson because it was so much easier to negotiate with them. Gardena Honda pretty much said, "here's the quote and that's that." Scott Robinson Honda said they could do better, but were super evasive/dodgy about the numbers. On the bright side, this made it very, very easy to choose Carson when they called me later in the day with an amended offer. 3. Interacting with salespeople: Lorenzo and Mike helped me finalize the deal and were both great. What Lorenzo committed to over the phone was exactly what appeared in the contract when I arrived in person. Mike was as patient as could be with my many questions about getting the car set up and even helped me drive the car back to my place. Gardena Honda was a joke in comparison; the sales team seemed more interested in lunch than sales. 4. Finalizing the deal: Compared to the last time I had to do this, Carson Honda was fairly efficient. It took about 1 hour and 15 minutes from the moment I sat down to start filling out paperwork to when I drove off the lot with my new car. This also includes the time spent setting up the car according to my preferences, which was a nice customer service touch. At the end of the day, most of us just want to leave a dealership not feeling stupid/manipulated/mistreated. Will you still go through a few rounds of haggling and "let me check with my mysterious manager in the back" at Carson? Yes. But you would at any dealership, and what makes Carson different is that it feels like they're really trying to make it work with you. And when it does work out, you leave feeling happy and accomplished. read more

Don't know about the Sales Dept but I've been to the Service Dept twice now and guaranteed I'll never be back. Took my car in to fix an automated door lock issue back in December. They replaced the actuator in the door. Fine. Get off the lot and i hear a rattling noise...hmm, that's wierd. I procrastinated, got busy at work, traveled and so 2.5 months later finally get to bring it back in. They tell me the noise is caused by a faulty upper control arm. "Wait, part of my suspension is broken just a couple months after my warranty expired on my new car?...Weird, but I don't beleive you." I take my car from them and bring it to a local mechanic. Mechanic barely has the wheel off when he calls and tells me "Uhhh, someone took the bolt off your shocks, you don't need any work other than a new bolt." Although, I can't prove they took the bolt off, I would like to say thanks for almost killing me and then trying to rip me off. Shoulda bought a Toyota. read more

I saw a negative review down below for the Internet Sales Manager, Michael Kiernan - I had quite the opposite experience and I thought Michael was pretty great - very forward, pretty honest, with no BS. I was shopping around for a 2011 Honda Fit Sport Automatic and after placing quote requests online to a ton of dealerships, Michael calls me and quotes me 16,995 including destination... which is far below the 18,460 MSRP (and fell right near the "Great Price" section of it's value on Truecar.com). I almost didn't believe him and questioned it at first, but he insisted that he was not interested in gimmicks or tricks. I requested him to send me the "out-the-door" price and he did so. I went in the next day and after he let me test drive the one I would actually take home, we went inside to do paperwork - he wasn't as clear as I would've liked at first on what to fill out on the papers he eventually helped me a bit after we messed up about 3 credit report authorization forms. He didn't change the price and firmly stood to the original quote he gave us, which was CHEAP. Probably my favorite part was he did NOT even try to up-sale me on any accessories, warranties, etc. The only thing that came close was the dealership-installed alarm, which he explained we did not have to take and did a bit of mild pushing for us to get it, but did not fight when I declined. I even said I might want wheel locks and he suggested I buy them aftermarket to save some money. While it took FOREVER for us to get to the finance guy to sign the final contracts, we were in and out of signing in about 10 minutes, and Michael hung around and kindly (and cheesily) took pictures of me with my new car. I'm glad I got a very forward salesperson who didn't change the price on me once I got into the dealership. A- read more

Never felt so degraded and humiliated before. 4/6/14 Or at least the salesman who helped us was so unprofessional... Sebastian Hun approached us as soon as we arrived, but once it was time to sit and talk about $$ he kept saying how tired he was because he has drank the night before and didn't get enough rest...is that our problem? He kept saying how hungry he was , but he had to wait until we were done so he can eat his burrito waiting for him in the fridge. Honda wasn't my choice but I wanted to see what offers they had and possibly take one, if it was good. He found a decent Honda Civic 2011 with 33,000-40,00 mi for $13,599. During the process Sebastian was just sitting there not doing much just trying to make casual conversations, while Lorenzo Vargas, won seem to be the only one trying, checked our credit and see what we qualified for. Turns out that my credit is "good but young"...understandable, but to be denied by 5 banks and "the only who accepted me" offered 19.99% APR. what!!! I explained to them that Toyota had offered me waaaaayyy less than that and for a newer car with less miles, how was is possible that they had such a higher rate? Dean Hayek couldn't believe that Toyota was giving me a great deal and tried to make me think they were ripping me off because they didn't run my credit accurately. I showed them a PO toyota had given me in case i wanted to go back and say yes to the car and he was surprise they did that because they don't. Finally, Dean Hayek explained that he would do his best to get us a deal and kept insisting to give a higher down payment. When I said no, he laughed and said he would try again to get me a lower rate. It didn't take him 2 min. when he came back and said "sorry, you're not taking a car today. You're credit is no good enough and you should join a credit union, otherwise no one will sell you a car." read more

From start to finish, working with Carson Honda has been the most difficult and miserable car buying and owning experience. We went in pre-approved through our bank, financing set and ready to just pick the exact car and sign paperwork. When going in, no one was wanting to help us. Two men literally looked at each other and told the other they were "busy." Normally these dealers jump on you when you pull up. Not here. I felt as if I inconvenienced them. Eventually we got the sales manager. He knew we were annoyed so he have us his top guy. He was great! But then it took us 5.5 hours to get paperwork done. They're so slow! We were already set financially. It shouldn't have been that long. We got the car we wanted at the price we wanted. That's the only positive. They took almost two months to transfer registration of the car we traded in even though they sold our old car that week. The new own racked up 8 tickets!!!! All sent to us. When we called to inquire about the delay with their DMV dept, they were confrontational and rude. We just came due for our first routine maintenance check & oil change. We made an appointment with service department & showed up on time. They didn't have a technician available. When we left, the tech manager called us "confused" why we left. Sorry we're not waiting two hours after making an appointment! That defeats the purpose. I recommend you save yourself the hassle, headache & attitude and go to a different Honda dealer if you want a Honda vehicle. On the plus side, our Honda is fantastic! read more
