Jamel and his team are very fair and honest with pricing and doing good quality work without gouging prices and doing things that do not need to be done at the time of visit. In fact, I was pushing for a few things to be done just to proactively do it so I wouldn't have to come back so often but he insisted that it's not needed why do it right now. Lol. My mom's car suddenly stopped starting a few days before Christmas and after a failed attempt to jump the car, we assumed it was an issue with the starter since she's had some issues with it in the past. I spoke with Jamel who said we'd be able to drop the car off and get repairs done when the shop opened after the Christmas holiday and gave us an estimate for the work to replace the starter that was very reasonable! After the van was dropped off, he gave us a call to let us know he actually found a loose battery terminal and saw the battery was super dead so we probably didn't wait long enough when trying to jump it the day before. He charged the battery and we were able to pick up the car the same day! Which meant my mom had her car for the holidays Jamel also didn't charge us for his time which was extremely generous and thoughtful during the holiday season. It is really hard to find a trustworthy mechanic, we all know the struggle. I haven't had a mechanic I trust in over five years, my last mechanic retired and so even though I would drive all the way to Riverside to see them that was no longer possible. When I received my car back from the dealership after a total engine replacement And it was down 2 quarts of oil from the drive home I needed to find a trustworthy mechanic to check the work and see what it happened I took the car here after finding it on Yelp, and I could not be more pleased. They saw that the car had been returned to me with a very vital component leaking as soon as the oil pressurized, and if I continue to drive the car I would've had another engine failure with a week because all the oil was spewing out of the engine block This is because the dealership did not do basic safety testing before giving me back the car, and it was something that should have been covered under warranty. I chose to get the car fixed there rather than taking a back to the dealership because I wanted to go someplace I trusted, and the prices are beyond reasonable.
