Trying this shop for the 1st time. Took in my car for a Coolant leak. It's taking a little longer than expected. They have a few unexpected and surprising problems. Not sure I agree, but I want a good shop that I can trust. So far, I have a bill of just under $2000. I truly hope the work is consistent with the price. Customer service is very fair. I would just say get pricing up front and make sure you know the prices from a dealer if going to get work on foreign cars. One acknowledgement is their desire to make sure I understood the charges and to follow through with showing me what they repaired. I appreciated the questions and the customer service. My son took my car in for an oil change at the Orozco's on Long Beach Blvd. He was using a gift certificate for a free oil change that I bid on at a charity auction. Before work began on the car, my son called me to let me know that Orozco's wanted to know where he received the gift certificate from to verify it. My son didn't know so I got on the phone with the person who was asking and told him how I received the gift certificate. I explained that I had bid on it at a charity auction and that I've never in the past been asked for any sort of verification when redeeming gift certificates . He said it was in case his 'higher ups' asked. That in itself seemed odd to me. My son went back to pick up the car and we were charged $98. I was told this was for the tire rotation. When my son was driving the car home the check engine light came on, all kinds of engine warning lights came on and the car began decelerating. I drove to where my son pulled off to the side of the road I drove the car and experienced the same decelerating and engine light notifications. I called Orozco's and let them know someone had to come and get the car as it was not drivable and asked for a refund of the $98. The person on the phone said I needed to contact Joseph the manager. I emailed Joseph my complaint while waiting on the car to be picked up. When the technician came I let him know he had to take me home and then take the car back to his shop to be worked on. I was dropped off at home and about 5-10 minutes later was called to pick up car. While picking up the car I spoke to Joseph and let him know that I was requesting a refund. He said they the services were complete and I said they were not complete when we picked up the car. He then said that the $98 was for the fire rotation and in looking at receipt, the tire rotation was for $40. I let him know I would be disputing the credit card transaction and he said that was fine that I could do that. $1,489.00-to replace a waterpump and thermostat. Dont go here. They will rip you off. Parts were $300. That means $1,100.00 for labor. Plus they charged $100 to inspect problem. Then after they replaced water pump and thermostat then determined my radiator and firewall hoses needed replacement even after there thorough inspection. Then they wanted to charge another $1,600.00 dollars. Grand total of over $3,000.00, crazy, crazy crazy. Then manager said after i asked about all charges said its $200.00 dollars an hour for mechanic labor. Insane. Orozco auto are price gouging. Stay clear of this place read more

I had car issues while at work and had to have it towed to a shop. Orozco's was on the AAA recommended list and closest to my office so I had it towed there. I called first and talked to Eddie, who was honest and didn't make any unrealistic promises over the phone. He had to have the car looked at before he can make a plan of action and give me quotes. I was more anxious if the car can get fixed before they close so I can decide if I need to leave the car overnight and call for a ride home. Car arrived at their shop in the mid afternoon (around 3pm) so it was getting close to closing time. I hitched a ride with a coworker and arrive at the shop about 4:15p, hoping to wait it out. The shop is at a great location, right next to a Jack in the Box and some restaurants and coffee shops. If the car won't be ready by 5pm when they close, then I'll wait at a restaurant for family to come get me. Thanks to God Almighty, they were able to fix the problem - replacing the alternator belt. I really appreciate Eddie being frank with me, about the issue, expected waiting time. He said they took care of the immediate problem, but the mechanics didn't have the time to do a thorough examination given not enough time. I'm glad to have found this shop so close to my office. requested a diagnostic on my bmw it wouldn't start so i took it to orozco's. quoted me a hefty amount do just a diagnostic but okay I gave them a shot. according to the diagnostic it was the starter. they quoted me $1,000 jus to replace my starter, i took my car elsewhere turns out it wasn't even the starter it was a small sensor. absurd price of $1000 for the repair, a $300 diagnostic and a valse diagnostic would definitely NOT recommend. read more

I have had services done at Orozco's Auto Service twice now, once for my mom's car and now for my own. I initially found them through the AAA Auto Club website so I figured they were worth checking out if AAA was affiliated with them. First thing that caught my attention about Orozcos's Auto Service is that their prices don't seem to change based on the customer. I've been scammed with inconsistent pricing with other mechanics many times in the past which is what led me to seek out a new auto service shop. The employees are very professional, very quick with repairs so far. They even have a shuttle service, on certain days of the week, to take you home after dropping off your car. Another reason why I decided to come back to Orozco's Auto Service is because they offer a few different payment options, including payment plans using third party loans. I've used their Snap payment loans twice now to pay for both of the cars I brought in. I also liked that they work with electronic updates. You get a message to your phone with all the services they recommend for your vehicles and they let you know which ones are of more importance out of all the services recommended. You then get to approve the ones you want done and decline the ones you don't all through your phone. I don't have complaints so far and hope to never have any as it is extremely difficult to find a good auto shop. read more

I took my 2012 Subaru Impreza for a diagnostic check after a new battery was installed by Auto Club. I spoke with Marvin and explained my concerns as car was sluggish and felt bouncy.
