I recently purchased a new Honda CR-V from Carson Honda and discovered an issue with the front bumper after taking delivery. I brought my concern to the dealership's general manager, Sean Ramezani, and he personally called me to discuss it. Sean listened to my concerns, treated me fairly, and offered to replace the bumper with one from an identical new vehicle. That was an extremely reasonable resolution more than I could have asked for and I genuinely appreciate how he handled the situation. Problems can happen with any business, but what matters is how the business responds. Carson Honda stood behind the vehicle and made things right. I have purchased from them before, I also do business with their parts department through my automotive repair shop, and based on how this was resolved, I will gladly continue doing business with them. Thank you, Sean and Carson Honda, for taking care of me. read more

My bf had called on my behalf to inquire about a listing. He spoke to Karina and she said that a lot of people are showing interest in that car. She continued to let us know, however, that if we put a fully refundable $500 deposit down TODAY, we would have first dibs to check it out once it arrived at the lot. After placing us on a brief hold to confirm with her manager, we agreed and she set us up for an appointment about an hour later since that's about how long it would take us to get there. Once we arrived, we were immediately greeted by Joey. We told him we have an appointment with Karina but he explained that she's more of a receptionist and he would be the one helping us, so we followed his lead. We sat down and after a brief intro and mentioned we were told we could leave a deposit, he immediately cut us off and said "Oh we don't do that." We said that was LITERALLY what we were instructed to come down here for. He insisted that since it was a high demand vehicle, we couldn't do that. And said, "Well you can purchase it." I said, "Why would I purchase a car I haven't seen?" He responded, "A lot of people will." At this point, my bf and I were upset, my bf had mentioned, "Had we known, I would have much rather visited my grandpa in hospice." Joey responded, "Well you still have time." It was such a disrespectful comment and the entire tone was so rude. We finally got up and left. We called Karina back from the parking letting her know what had just happened. She told us, that is not the instructions she was given, was apologetic and said she was gonna call us back. We also strongly mentioned that we did not want to deal with Joey moving forward. She calls us back and lets us know the sales manager will be calling us later that evening. We pushed back and said, "But this is why we drove down here." She said she'll call back in 5 minutes. During this time I get a text from Joey and a missed call. We ignored it as we awaited Karina's call back. We then received another message from Joey, stating they are declining our offer to put a deposit down. Mind you, we NEVER made an offer. This was all THEIR instructions to us. We tried calling Karina back and got no answer. My bf and I are very patient and forgiving people, and it really takes a lot to get us upset. But we've never been so misled, nor dealt with this kind of insensitivity. Zero accountability. We'll take our money elsewhere. read more

Carson Honda - Text message - Auto Repair Near Me - Carson, California

The way I have been treated as a Honda customer who has purchased or leased four Honda vehicles back to back is appalling. First, by the service manager at the dealer, then by the case manager who was handling my complaint. I waited 22 minutes at the service entrance without anyone checking me in. When I mentioned that to the service manager, he gave me a cold one word response: "Ok". With a tone that screamed, "...Fuck you, so what are you complaining about". I left the dealership two hours later with them saying they were unable to complete the recall service. This is despite having an appointment for the SAFETY recall. See attached note. I was also told that I can come back another day and that they might need up to 2 (TWO) days, that "it just depends". I was there for a SAFETY Recall for my 2024 Honda Prologue Touring AWD. The two letters I received from American Honda company regarding the SAFETY recall both state that it might take "up to approximately two hours". I can understand two hours turning into four hours. But two days!!!!!??? So, I called the 800 number in the recall letter and started a complaint. Case # 16370529. The case manager who called me in response to my complain was equally cold and told me that I would have to "work it out with the dealer" and "that you always have the option to go to another Honda dealer"! I told her that she didn't empathize or understand my frustration and did nothing to solve my problem. Then she said "what would like me to do to help you?". I said that you can help try to get my service completed in one day. She said "That is up to the dealership", "I can't help you". Btw, the case manager's tone was as bad as the Service Manager. She reminded me that I have to option to try another Honda dealer. Wake up HONDA! Because, here is the reality. .... WHAT I REALLY HAVE IS THE OPTION TO GO TO ANOTHER CAR COMPANY!! I do not give my money to companies who treat their customers like a piece of garbage! Lastly, thank you HONDA. You just crushed the loyalty of a long time HONDA customer. Guess how many HONDA vehicles I will be buying or leasing in the future? Exactly. read more

I was trying to buy a new car, I have gotten rear ended by drunk driver. Needed to replace my vehicle. Walked in to a local Honda dealer. They weren't willing to work with me. So I reached out to Honda in Carson. Jessica didn't hesitate to answer the call. She said she would give me the price I was looking for. She even gave me a discount on the vehicle. My wife and I are so happy with our purchase. Thank you so much Jessica and to all her crew who helped us out. -Gualberto Garcia read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. Do not trust this dealership. After driving from work with no AC, just piss me off all over again. On the morning of 3/4/26, I met with John H. Howard III, Honda's 'finest' service manager. I explained to Mr. John H. Howard III that I felt the service technicians had caused damage on the passenger door of my vehicle when they removed the dashboard to install a new ac system. Additionally, I was concerned about a hole on the seat and while we confirmed that there was no hole rather than a severe scratched up leather due to friction of some sort, John was arrogant and dismissive. He suggested that my claim was unwarranted and malicious. I was appalled by his unprofessional and presumptuous attitude as he furthered explained that there is no way the service technicians could have possibly caused said damage and that, since he could not explain how the damage was done, then it must have been my fault and I just never noticed it. I beg to differ. I've owned my vehicle since 2019 and I kinda know it inside/out and for Mr. John H. Howard III to suggest otherwise, is insulting. Please train your staff to be better qualified to interact with customers - especially those with authority. Kendall and everyone else were kind and caring but it only takes one person to ruin it for everyone and that's John H. Howard III. And by the way, there was a part of the ac system that the techs forgot to install which was left in the rear seat of the car. Mr. John H. Howard III never offered an apology or an explanation. He simply took the part and had the techs take my vehicle to reinstall it. What a guy! read more

Bad customer service. My mom and I popped in to actually trade in a vehicle. We parked and walked the lot. Nobody greeted or assisted us. There were several people being helped inside. No sales people outside the lot. Someone came outside but they were assisting a family. They didn't even greet us or offer to get someone to help. I also saw a girl who appeared to be an employee come out of the upstairs door. She looked out over the lot and didn't assist or get anyone. Definitely felt ignored...and I won't say what else I was thinking. I won't be back and I don't recommend. We add to drive 20 minutes away to Gardena to get help read more

I had a very positive experience working with this dealership. From the start, Arlene was responsive, transparent, and clearly in communication with her management team. She set expectations properly and followed through on everything discussed. When I came in, Arlene personally introduced me to Rob, her partner, who took the time to walk me through the vehicle and even accompanied me to an independent pre-purchase inspection. There was no pressure at any point, and the process felt collaborative rather than transactional. After the inspection, we returned and the dealership honored everything exactly as discussed. They also took care of several items noted on the PPI report, which really demonstrated their integrity and willingness to stand behind the vehicle. There were no surprises or last-minute changes. I then worked with Gary in finance, and that experience was equally smooth and professional. Everything was handled efficiently, clearly, and with a high level of integrity. They even went above and beyond by ultimately beating my credit union's rate, which I genuinely did not expect. I'll be honest--I was a bit nervous going into a new dealership--but they completely proved me wrong. From sales to inspection to finance, the service was consistent, professional, and high-integrity from top to bottom. I would absolutely recommend working with Arlene, Rob, and Gary if you're looking for a straightforward, respectful, and well-run buying experience. read more

Appt. Date 8-6-25 R.O#565523 FIRST AND FOREMOST: Daniel Garcia, Service Writer is unprofessional, rude and to top it all off, unknowledgeable. Dropped vehicle off for a diagnostic ($220) with a small evap leak. Mr. Garcia claims the repair will be $440. Gas cap replacement & Labor. He let me know the cap was roughly $100, implying the labor to install the gas cap is $330?! SECONDLY: Picture Included. Labeling a repair as "Critical" implies that the vehicle is unsafe to operate, at risk of imminent failure, or likely to sustain further damage if not immediately addressed. In this case, the dealer recommended replacing the thermostat and fan switch for $811.67, citing only that the vehicle was "due for service" -- not that there was an actual failure, leak, or diagnostic trouble code (DTC) indicating a malfunction. If the thermostat or fan switch were truly failing, the vehicle would typically display one or more of the following symptoms: * Warning lights or DTCs (e.g., check engine light or cooling system fault code) * Overheating or inability to reach proper operating temperature * Coolant leaks or visible damage to components * Erratic temperature gauge readings The absence of these signs suggests that the parts are functioning as intended. Recommending immediate replacement under the label "Critical" without diagnostic evidence could be considered misleading or fraudulent behavior, as it pressures the customer into paying for unnecessary work. In automotive repair ethics, a "Critical" designation should be reserved for repairs required for safe operation or to prevent imminent damage -- not routine maintenance. This misclassification can be a tactic to inflate repair bills, undermining customer trust and potentially violating consumer protection laws related to deceptive trade practices. Daniel explained it "could" leak at some point. "Could" and then also referred to this as regular maintence. We paid for the diagnostic, and took the vehicle. Purchased a gas cap and saved $330 on the labor. Thanks Carson Honda, this dealership could use some serious training. read more

When we bought a new car here Joseph the salesman had told us one of our other honda car can get a free oil change in here. So we texted him a few days ago to schedule and he had told us to just line up in service and ask for Erwin. Even though it was an hour drive from where we live, i still made the trip cause free oil change is free oil change. Was greeted by a gentleman with a nice beard and glasses. I had told him what I was instructed to do which was to look for Erwin. Apparently he did not hear me ask for Erwin(miscommunication understandable) so he proceeded to ask for my info and look for me in his tablet. He could not find anything regarding me, my mom or the car so he was not happy and basically said he cant help me. Even questioning why i was bringing the car and not the owner while laughing. When i repeated again that i was looking for Erwin he then said "Oh you shouldve said that" to which i replied I did and he said "Oh I mustve been talking loud". Erwin creepily came up to the window with a bewildered expression shortly after, did not greet me nor ask me how i was doing. He was Just staring in disgust that someone had summoned and asked for him. I then explained to him that i was sent by joseph and to look for him. I even showed him the text message. He then proceeded to tell me that they do not give free oil change there and if he gave me a free oil change it was gonna come out of his pocket. All of what he was saying was understandable. I listened. (Apparently joseph forgot to hand them a letter that said the car had a free oil change). I said ok no problem and drove home. Erwin could have called and asked joseph for me, but he decided not to. He couldve offered some patience and understanding but it seems they did not get that in training. They are operating at a low standard and i guess they are okay with that. Erwin and the bearded dude with glasses are not very helpful. And they are the first person that greets you when you arrive at service area. Honda has this whole thing about being helpful and it seems these guys did not get the memo. They will be alright though seems like they dont care over there. read more

In August 2024, I purchased my 2025 CRV from this dealership. I came in with a trade in and not 100% sure which model I wanted. While at the dealership I test drove several different models until I found the CRV in the perfect color. My trade in went smoothly and I received a fair price for my vehicle and the sales team did not push add ons. My car was delivered washed and with a full tank of gas. The dealer also added a bow so I could take pics since the purchase was an early birthday gift for myself. Overall my purchasing experience was great and my ongoing relationship with the dealership for service (oil changes) has also been good. read more

I was charged for an incorrect vehicle diagnosis and quoted nearly $700 for a repair that was not the actual issue. I was told an expensive part had to be ordered, which resulted in me having to pay for a rental car unnecessarily. I later got a second opinion. The correct issue was identified, the repair cost $169, and the work was completed in under two hours. When I raised my concerns, management--specifically John Howard--was dismissive and did not address the complaint. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving major repairs. If issues arise, escalation and filing a Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) complaint may be your best best! Make sure you ask for a break down of the cost that's being quoted to you and I recommend taking your car to Norms Reeves Honda Cerritos. It wasn't a busy day either. (I'm comparing the busy-ness to the last time I visited.) If you want to be checked in on time, I would recommend showing up 30-40 mins early to be safe! A bought a 2025 Civic a month ago and everything was swell. I asked several times for no add ins to the finance person. A month later I finally received my contract information and I noticed there was a 1650 charge to my contract for FIDELITY CAREFREE. I did not ask for this but according to my contract I did sign a section that said this was added. Yeah, it was my fault for not wanting to read everything because I already spent many hours at the dealership, but in good faith i signed everything knowing I didn't ask for anything on top of the car. Now, I have to spend time and go in person to the dealership to sign a document to cancel it. Not a good practice espcially since I was double adamant about no extras. Edit I tried to email the email address I was given but it did not work. Gary at finance helped me to remove the warranty and my account should be credited in a few weeks. read more

I decided to give this place a try since it's close to my office, but the experience was really disappointing. I waited nearly an hour just to be acknowledged by a service advisor. A greeter mentioned they were trying to move cars around and get situated, but there was no visible progress the entire time. That kind of delay just to get checked in immediately raised concerns about how the rest of the service would go. When I finally spoke to a service advisor, I was told it would cost around $215-$220 just to assess the issue, and $315 if they performed a full diagnostic. The pricing felt unclear and excessive, especially after already waiting so long. I also asked about an AC issue and was told there was no recall only a bulletin and that Honda would only cover it under certain conditions. That was frustrating to hear, especially since it sounds like a known issue. Between the long wait, lack of communication, and unclear pricing, I decided to leave without getting my car serviced. Based on this experience, I wouldn't return. read more

Called to inquire about a 2020 Honda Civic Si. On the call, the salesperson said all their pre-owned Hondas have been inspected and certified and will have a 7 year/100K miles warranty. After driving 45 min to their dealership, they told me the vehicle I'm interested in does not have any warranty and is sold "as is". After an hour of negotiating on a fair price, they would not budge on our serious offer so we walked out. Two days later, the salesperson called me back and told me they will accept my offer. If we could give Carson Honda 10 stars that wouldn't be enough mainly because of Miguel ALFARO. We dealt at first with Leslie, who was so gracious and made us feel at home, not in a car dealership. Miguel ALFARO would then take over and he made the transition into a beautiful Honda pilot a smooth process. He was quite honest, which is not usual for a car salesman he also went out of his way to create a level of ease for us. No slimy salesman here. We had gone to another dealership first and the atmosphere was hurry up and wait they told us lies just to buy a more expensive car. It was ridiculous but Miguel ALFARO At Honda Carson was the antithesis of that. He has an infectious smile and a calmness about him. He is so sincere that we will definitely tell anyone to ask for Miguel ALFARO when searching for a new or used car. We met the manager of the dealership because we wanted him to know how wonderful Leslie and Miguel were. He was also very upfront no gimmick or sales pressure. I recently visited this dealership to purchase a used Honda within my budget. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The car was repeatedly said to be "not ready," causing unnecessary delays. When it was finally ready, the negotiation process was uncooperative, and communication was poor. Ricky, a salesman, was unhelpful and gave us the silent treatment when we showed hesitation. The manager, while initially appearing helpful, ultimately seemed indifferent and didn't address our concerns adequately. Additionally, the finance department was unhelpful, which added to the overall frustration. I also noticed another customer facing similar issues with a different salesman, which showed that this wasn't an isolated experience. The staff were rude and dismissive. I stayed polite and patient the entire time, but apparently, that still wasn't enough effort for them. Honestly, if this is how they treat customers who are ready to spend thousands of dollars, I can't imagine how they handle anyone who asks real questions or expects basic respect. The whole experience gave "we don't need your business" energy and trust me, they definitely won't be getting mine in the future when i plan to replace this car. If you enjoy being ignored, disrespected, and talked down to, this is the perfect place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else. read more

Honda Certified car buyer beware. I bought a 9 month old used Prologue 4 months ago from Carson Honda. Took it to another Honda Dealer for its first tire rotation 4 months later. Found out 2 of my tires (from the rear) were needing to be replaced, a recall from May was not done and and software updates were needed. (It took all day to do the updates and its debateable if they were ever done at Carson because the tech said no updates had ever been done. ) I called to speak with the GM Sean. Instead of just apologizing and taking action, he was quick to defend saying basically this car goes through tires quickly because it has high torque, also when they sold me the car, the tires were "within specs." Later I found out they did replace one tire because it was a mismatch. Meaning, instead of just replacing all the tires on their "Honda Certified" vehicle they just replace the minimum. Meaning, I had one new, one ok, and 2 bad tires after drive for 4 months. Also, although true the Prologue does have high torque, the balding tires on my vehicle were on the rear. Take away, "Honda Certified" means bare minimum standards are OK, the extra super duper Honda Warranty doesn't cover tires, and Helpful Honda Carson feels excuses are better than action. read more

Beyond stoked about this Honda Location (Carson). To start, VINNY/VINNIE (Vincent Enriquez) is THE BEST!!!! Being back into the Honda family is amazing. It's been roughly 20 years since we've had a Honda. And we missed Honda truly. Let me tell you about my experience here at Carson Honda. Everyone greeted you as you drove in. The place is stocked with many Honda choices. The inside is clean, the staff is approachable, restrooms are clean, the hospitality is superb (offered us drinks and snacks each time AND throughout our stay while we looked and waited); VINNY/VINNIE is the BEST salesman we've EVER met in our life and Luis the finance guy is A1 the best car finance guy we have met for car purchasing in the past 20 plus years. VINNY/VINNIE kept it honest the entire time. He worked out a great deal and he was patient with us and worked with us to find the best options for us. He worked with Luis (Finance) to work with us.They were an amazing Duo! Of all the places we went to, we would sit for hours, they would upset us and beat around the bush and tact on hidden fees that we would have to point out to have them removed. They did not do that here. VINNY/VINNIE did NOT play. He was beyond professional and treated us as equals. He gave the upmost respect with the friendliest demeanor during each transaction. We came twice. Both interactions were tremendously informative and amicable. Today, we walked out with a beautiful Accord. He didn't try to upsell me, he didn't try to pull money out the the waaaahoooo after I explained what we could do, he didn't rush me and he didn't do any of the horrible things that I had been through at other dealers throughout the years. And we don't buy often. We usually go car browsing. I would totally recommend VINNY/VINNIE to all of my family and friends because I know he will take care of them like he did us. If you're looking for a GREAT car (Honda is truly #1 in my book) come to CARSON HONDA and definitely ask for VINNY/VINNIE. Hondas really have a long life value. Check out all of the 94s and 92s still out on the street lol. Seriously !!! If you want honesty, respect and someone who isn't going to make a short visit a LONG visit of disappointments, come see VINNY/VINNIE and let him see what he can do for you. Thank you Honda for having VINNY/VINNIE! He is a blessing!!!! He really served 100% of the HONDA HELPFUL GUY read more

Watch out for their deceptive pricing tactics. I received an out-the-door (OTD) quote for a new CR-V from Karina and made the trip to the dealership expecting to complete the purchase. However, when I showed the salesperson the emailed quote, he told me -- with a straight face -- that their OTD pricing didn't include destination fees or dealer add-ons. That completely contradicts the definition of an OTD price. I was then told the actual cost would be $2,000 more than the quoted amount. It's obvious this dealership uses misleading quotes to lure customers in, hoping to pressure them into paying a higher price once they're on-site. I wasn't one of those customers -- I walked out. If I could give zero stars, I would. I absolutely do not recommend this dealership. read more

And this is why people feel discouraged when looking to buy a vehicle, the dealerships like Carson Honda left an unhappy experience. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Ricky the salesman and Manager Fidel at the Carson Honda. From the start, the salesman was pushy and seemed more interested in making a quick sale than helping us or ensuring us we were purchasing the right vehicle. He was rude and honestly expected more from an older adult. It doesn't cost much to be polite or have manners. He wasn't transparent with communication and had this way of selling the vehicle and appeared annoyed. When I asked specific questions about the vehicle's history and features, he either gave vague answers or brushed off my concerns. The lack of professionalism and honesty made the car-buying process stressful and frustrating. We did not leave buying the vehicle with a great experience from beginning to end. I would not recommend working with Ricky or going to Carson Honda. If you're looking for a trustworthy and customer-focused car-buying experience do your research, because it is not easy looking for a vehicle and throwing thousands of dollars towards a purchase. It needs to feel welcomed and smooth from the time you make a phone call inquiring about a vehicle. Fidel just seemed busy and out of touch with the customers, in a sense like he was there but not. When I brought my concerns to him about Ricky he did not apologize about the situation just said "let me see what I can do". Everyone just seemed like they do not communicate well with each other. Erick ended up supporting us at the end and finishing up our purchase, he was amazing and answered all the questions we had with great attitude and customer service. My brother was shopping for a used car and this dealership unfortunately had what he was looking for. In my previous experience, buying a vehicle is exciting and new every time so my advice is always ask yourself if you are happy with your purchase, and the experience, don't rush it.
