And when asking for direct number it also drops. No one is helpful working there today. They just deflect the call and wait for it to be rerouted... horrible service. Despite the substantial amount of money I have already paid toward the vehicle, I am still being charged a monthly payment of $516.58. The representative himself stated that he could not explain why I still have a car payment or why the vehicle appears to have been financed for the full amount despite my $18,000 down payment. Based on my understanding at the time of purchase, the remaining amount should have been approximately $10,000. At this point, I need Kia of Carson to provide a clear explanation and a complete accounting of my purchase, including the original vehicle price, amount financed, down payment, payments received, interest, fees, and current payoff balance. I have attempted to resolve this directly and professionally for months. Kia of Carson is trying to rip you off. Read this before you go. I worked with a salesperson named Concepcion. Their website listed the 2027 Telluride Hybrid EX FWD at $48,910, but after a test drive, once I was already invested in the process, I was quoted $53,875, nearly $5,000 more than their own advertised price. They printed out a piece of paper with a lot of numbers on it, not clearly broken down, and when I asked to take it with me, I was refused. That should be a red flag for anyone shopping here. I pushed for a clear itemized document anyway, and once I finally got one in writing, I could see exactly what they were doing. What followed was a long back and forth because the math simply did not add up. Concepcion sent me a picture of a quote on her computer screen, and going through it line by line, I found they were listing discounts and rebates that were never actually being subtracted from the amount I would be financing. When I pointed this out, she insisted this was normal practice. It is far from normal, and in my understanding, it may actually be illegal. This kind of pricing may violate California consumer protection law, specifically the Unfair Competition Law (Business and Professions Code Section 17200) and the Consumer Legal Remedies Act (Civil Code Section 1770), both of which address advertising a discount that isn't actually applied to the price. When I asked them to remove an add-on I never requested, I was told it wasn't possible. I brought all of this directly to their General Sales Manager, Steve Shaban, and the price still didn't move. I've since filed complaints with Kia corporate and the state. Kia corporate sent back a generic boilerplate response, so I'm not expecting much to come of it, but I wanted other buyers to have this information before walking in. Cerritos priced the identical vehicle at $47,785, over $6,000 less than what Carson tried to charge me. My experience with this place was so disgusting I felt compelled to share it with the hope that it prevents them from doing to others what they did to my wife and I. The service center contacted me about a safety recall involving a seat fire risk on our 2024 Telluride. I asked what an oil change would cost while it was there and was quoted approximately $140. On the higher side, but this is our only car that fits our entire family so I scheduled both services to save time. When my wife dropped it off, imagine her confusion when they told her several items required "immediate attention" that totaled over $1,300. A transmission fluid exchange, a coolant service, and a complete fuel system cleaning were recommended...for a vehicle with 24,000 miles on it. Fortunately, this was enough to raise a red flag, so she declined and said she would have to get back to them. When she got home, I checked the manual. According to Kia's maintenance schedule, the first coolant replacement is due at 120,000 miles or 10 years. Transmission fluid replacement is scheduled at 56,000 miles under severe driving conditions only, and while the schedule recommends a bottle of fuel additives every $8,000 miles that costs about $10 tops, a $600 complete fuel system cleaning is not listed as scheduled maintenance at all. Presenting these services as things that require "immediate attention" for a vehicle with 24,000 miles is every gross scam cliché you hear about with car dealerships and it's sad to know less assuming people are falling for this. But wait, it gets worse. That oil change that they said was approximately $140 was marked up over $200. My wife had a coupon for $60 off that they had mailed us, but when she presented it she was told it had to be combined with another service, but they told her they would do her the courtesy of applying another discount that would reduce the bill to a little under $160 out the door. At this point all trust in this place had gone out the window, but repairing the seats so they wouldn't catch on fire felt essential and we needed the car back before the children got out of school, so for the sake of saving time, she relented to the higher priced oil change. Nothing else could go wrong though, right? Wrong. They didn't even have the part. After the oil change was completed, they told us that they had to order the part to repair the seats and couldn't even tell us when it would arrive. So they had us bring our vehicle in for a safety recall that they knowingly were not prepared to complete, recommended over $1,300 in services that they told us needed "immediate attention" despite the manufacturer either not recommending them anywhere close to our vehicle's milage or at all in one case, and overcharged us on an already expensive oil change. I can't recommend this service center less. Feels criminal honestly. UPDATE: They never reached out to let us know they got the part in. They sent a "How did we do?" text to my wife, and my wife basically told them they sucked and they reached back out saying they had the part now and want us to schedule a time to bring the car in again. My experience on the service side has been a little disappointing and hence the score revision. There's a lot of miscommunication between the ladies at the front service desk and the service staff actually working on the cars. If you leave a message with the service desk to have someone from their service staff to call you back, you will not get a call. This happened on 3 separate occasions for me which became quite frustrating. There was also lack of communication for a rental vehicle, but that's another story. I did complete a survey to express my frustrations after the fact. In the survey they said someone would be reaching out to me shortly and yet nobody ever did (shocker, I know). I've been bringing my Kia to Kia of Carson since 2019 for oil changes, spark plugs, brakes, and other maintenance. Recently, I took my car in because it had an oil leak and needed a tune-up. This was my first time working with Alma as my service advisor, and she was amazing. She was very kind, professional, and took the time to explain all of the repairs my car needed. I also have to mention her pink keyboard--it definitely stood out and added a nice personal touch! After the repairs were completed, I picked up my car about a week later. Soon after, I checked my oil and noticed it had been depleted. I went right back to Kia of Carson and spoke with Alma. She immediately took my concerns seriously, had my car brought back in, provided me with a loaner vehicle, and made sure everything that needed to be fixed was taken care of. Just purchased a car from here yesterday and has been nothing but amazing. This is our second purchase from Kia of Carson. We came here after having a bad experience at another location and I will go out of the way just to come here even though it's further from us. Stephanie was our salesperson and she was very patient. This has been my worst car buying and owning experience. I about a lemon that in the first year I spent a 1/3 of what I bought the car for in repairs. I bought the extended warranty thinking it was wise since the vehicle was used. and the warranty covered nothing of value and would keep my car in the shop for a month before approving or denying repairs. I tried to cancel multiple times and they made it so difficult I didn't bother again. Then this vehicle gets rushed so I need to cancel the warranty and since anti theft services I bought and was told refund goes direct to my auto loan but may take a month so insurance is going to pay my loan as well and I'll have to wait for a refund for over payment meaning less money towards a new car. I paid 15k cash and financed 6k. How is my gps package post off my auto loan? Make it make sense! read more

Took my car in for an oil change and asked to have the brakes visually inspected and the service adviser said they could not do that. I asked why not, since they will be removing the wheels to rotate them and that's typically part of their visual inspection report. He said he would see what he could do... I did get a list of "recommended" items to take care of but did not follow up on my question about the brakes. Later that week, I changed the oil filter and I noticed that the coolant was below minimum. Coincidentally, they texted me asking if I wanted to get any of the recommended items done soon, at a discount. This department NEVER answers the phone when transferred from the front desk person and hardly ever return your calls. I am on my 3rd service experience with them and each time it is a hot mess. I just picked my car up today and there is a nail in the tire! I had a basic service done. Even if the car arrived with the nail in it, what happened during the tire check up? Walking in the dealership, it is nice and clean and they have snacks with various amounts of people to help you with anything. They also had a great playlist that was playing while we waited. We had the pleasure of working with Diana, Steve, and Prince. Diana was the finance manager that we worked with; she was so nice and was able to work with the deal that we needed. She offered the extra warranty package that I think we all need. She said that Kia is offering an extra warranty deal right now that includes no deductible for repairs that are needed. Diana was extra helpful and I enjoyed that she talked just as fast as I do and we understood every word. We also worked with Prince and Steve who I feel worked hand and hand. Prince was our salesman that showed us all of the features of the car and he was very patient. Prince helped us make sure the app downloaded correctly and everything in the car was set up nicely. I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Kia Carson has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I purchased a brand-new 2025 vehicle, and at only 2,000 miles the safety sensors failed and warning lights appeared on the dashboard. This was clearly a manufacturer defect. I was initially told the repair would take one week. That week turned into three weeks, and the vehicle was still not repaired. Despite the issue being factory-related, I was denied a loaner vehicle because they claimed my insurance did not cover it. After keeping my car for three weeks without fixing it, they returned it to me because the required part was delayed. I brought the vehicle back on December 27 after being informed that the part had arrived. Before returning it, I had accidentally spilled champurrado on the passenger-side carpet. At that point, I was told they could not proceed with the warranty repair unless the carpet was replaced, and I was charged $4,700 for the replacement. This amount is extremely excessive for carpet work. The insurance approval process took another three weeks. Once payment was authorized, I was promised the car would be ready within one week. I even went in and paid a day early, only to receive another call saying it would take yet another week. This is a practically new vehicle that has now been sitting at the dealership for over two months. Communication has been poor and inconsistent. Staff members shift responsibility between managers, and it is nearly impossible to speak directly with a manager because they are frequently "unavailable." I also attempted to contact Kia corporate to escalate this situation, but I never received a response. As a customer who invested in a brand-new vehicle, I expected reliability, transparency, and professional service. I'm still flabbergasted that an organization of the size has the most unprofessional associates working for them. I don't know how they manage to operate and keep their return business. I'm one of those people with a seven year-old car with 35K on it. I won't because my car had a recall on it for a tow hitch that I do not have! I kept getting these mailers and getting these mailers and I thought well I need an alignment. My windshield wipers are weird and the little entrance button on the passenger door fell out. I booked my appointment online and I think every day after that I got a reminder text. I called mid week before my appointment to be sure that the different items had been added to my service ticket because my husband was gonna be taking it in for me. The gal I spoke to you had the personality of a rock... Flat as can be. My advice would be to go get another job if you hate you so much. Anyways, she said that everything was on there as I noted so I was satisfied. The morning of my appointment I got a text that said just FYI, your car will need to be here for 48 hours for diagnostics. I about flipped my lid. I've been texting back-and-forth spoke to them twice and never once was I informed of this requirement. I hadn't been to the Kia in a while, apparently since this had been put into place. I called in and asked to talk to a service advisor because I felt like the items that I had to be looked at were minor in nature and could we see if we could get this done in one day because we only have one vehicle and we were gonna have to wait for it. The service advisor went round and round and round with me and just kept saying that they needed the 48 hours, so I was actually questioning well maybe I'll find somewhere else to go to then. Cause I don't have 48 hours to have my car in the shop to fix my wiper blades. Lol. So I said as much to her and she replied well if you have someone that you feel better with then you should make that arrangement and CLICK! She hung up on me! What the actual eff?!? I called in and spoke to the service manager and got very little sympathy for that interaction so I can only assume that it's normal for them. But we did end up taking the car in and my poor husband waited for five hours for a tow hitch recall on a car that doesn't have a tow hitch and the alignment. We'll give someone else our business for the other two smaller things. I spoke to Kia corporate on this and got the same blasé attitude. I guess I expected him to be very apologetic and be horrified that this is how their staff treated customers but no. So again, it will reinforce why we won't be buying Kia again or taking our car there. Awful awful awful. read more
