Unfortunately, the hostess indicated that the restaurant doesn't allow dine-in guests one hour before closing. I proceeded to go with the takeout option instead. At this restaurant, daily specials are offered. Since I came on a Thursday, I opted for the seafood boil deal that came with 1 lb of snow crab legs, 1/2 lb of shrimp, corn, and red potatoes. I customized the flavor as the "Mighty Special" - Cajun, Lemon Pepper and Garlic Butter all combined. For the spicy level, I chose "Hot." The total was only $36.99! This was such a steal, especially since the seafood boil bag was generous. When trying it, it was honestly so flavorful and palatable. The sauce literally made the crab legs, shrimp, corn, and potatoes beyond tasty. Mighty Crab serves satisfying seafood boils with mouthwatering bold flavors! This spot is definitely worth paying a visit to.

This place was such a treat. Biggest regret...we forgot our beer...'cause a cold beer to wash down this good food would've been perfect. So from the outside it looks like a shack...an extended shack...but its actually a really cool, clean spot. There are two lines...one for carry out and then one for those looking to eat at the location. Most of the seating is outside...but there is a small room for indoor seating. Decor is very southern with sports and various music albums. The menu is simple with shrimp, crawfish, crab legs, several combination plate offers, and tamales (which has to be purchased by half dozen). My table ordered the pound of shrimp, half pound of shrimp and the crawfish. All of us were satisfied. The corn that we ordered (it doesn't come with corn or sausage and must be ordered seperately) was amazing and went well with our food. The seasoning was on point. This is definitely a worthwhile spot to visit while in Jackson.

Also got the lobster and crawfish dip ok and one can never go wrong with calamari which was also good. For dinner, I had the salmon and grits and kale. It was ok because not quite what I was expecting - I was expecting spicy and it was too sweet for me but might be my fault for not fully reading the description and being focused on the Cajun seared aspect of it. It was still good though. Nothing superb but filling and loved the crunchy kale on top. Really liked that they were open on a Monday and they were fast. At one point, too fast because one of my co- diner's dinner came too soon while still eating their salad. For dessert, we got the cinnamon roll cheesecake and shared it. I only had one bite because it was too rich for me but it was very tasty and good. Unfortunately, we didn't get the oysters which is THE item to get here but it was otherwise a good visit.

It just so happens that I was in New Orleans a few months ago and partook of same at that time. So this will be a direct comparison to Felix's. Bar has a nice setup with a couple TVs showing live sports, but no sound. I was able to connect my phone to get the sound via the Tunity app. Bartender was knowledgeable and easy going. I started with the gumbo and the oysters were served while I was about halfway through the bowl. The gumbo was pretty good and I would definitely get it again. The oysters were super hot and I actually had to wait a few moments before starting in on them. The chargrilled oysters were very good and if I had not had them in New Orleans I would have been most pleased. Of course, these were not as good as Felix's. But if you are staying at the Hilton, you absolutely need to walk over to Drago's. Check the portrait of Drago in the entryway ( he passed a few years ago).

The steak and seafood entrees - not so much, but the birria tacos were great. Atmosphere - Casual, ocean or fish themed. It's bright blue. They play country music (the kind you hear at the beachy restaurants) like "5 O'Clock Somewhere." There are a couple of fish tanks in there. The kids thought that was cool. Just about every kid who walked in immediately began singing the "Daddy Shark doo-doo" song. So in that aspect it's kind of cute. Service - OK. No issues. Our waiter was kind. Overall: I made the mistake of thinking, "I don't want to order Mexican at a Seafood & Steakhouse when Clinton has 5011 other Mexican restaurants." I was wrong.
