Three piece catfish (comes with two sides: hush puppies, fries or okra & two slices of white bread)
Alisha N.

Saw all the good reviews and decided to try them out. Regular country feel good restaurant vibes. I wouldn't suggest dining in because it was really humid in there. But besides that, the food is delicious! I ordered the 3 piece catfish which came with 3 hush puppies and I changed out my fries for fried okra. Catfish was seasoned very well. It was also cooked perfectly (slightly crunchy but soft to the touch, almost falling apart) Okra and hush puppies were good too! Not burnt like most places do them. They gave me extra hot sauce too without charging me. I'll definitely come back!

Saw that Harvey's had a chicken sandwich special, so the man wanted to come try. It was our first time here, so I wasn't sure what they served. I saw pantrout and my heart was set We got the chicken dipped in the honey hot sauce ($1 extra), and a 3 piece pan trout fried hard with a side of fried okra, and potato salad. There were a few people before us, but the food came out fast, fresh, and piping hot. That sandwich was love at first bite, we both thoroughly enjoyed it! Now I want that sauce on some wings!! Since it's a wet sauce, I highly recommend eating your sandwich right away if you opt for the dipped fried chicken. His only complaint was, he wished the piece of chicken was thicker, because there was a lot of sauce. The pan trout was delicious too! I got mine fried hard. Some pan trout I've gotten at other places were thinner, so the pan trout easily fried to rubber when I requested for it to be fried hard, these were thick juicy pieces. I also enjoyed the potato salad, I've always liked mine with sweet pickles, and theirs had it. Overall awesome first experience, customer service A+

I think in Mississippi a catfish restaurant needs something special... Harvey's has good food but nothing special. There was no wow factor for me. Yes the catfish was good, the fried okra was good, the french fries were good and the bread was 2 slices of bread - nothing special - it is the same as the 10 other catfish restaurants in the area. I did not care much for the service - she was not real friendly - had to go back and get ware and tarter sauce which she made it seem like she was doing me a favor getting those items for me. - really not impressed.

Fish was bland to me. The lemon pepper wings were horrible. The fried okra was the best thing to me.

We took the food out, but everything looked clean and safe as well. Awesome hot honey wings (very little heat), and great catfish!

Fish is always great. Just wish fries were better and would have given 5 stars. One of my favorite fish spots.

To get to this location which is on the southeast corner of Highway 80 and 49 in Jackson, Mississippi, turn in like you're entering the Sutherland's Home Improvement store, but then hang a hard right and you'll see it straight ahead. Turn in to the second driveway for their parking lot or drive through. The entrance has a ramp but could be challenging for some people in wheelchairs or who are handicapped. I have some family members who would have difficulty getting in. See the picture I posted for reference, and you can determine if you can get in or need to stick to the drive through. After looking over their menu, I finally decided to get the chicken finger tacos with the chipotle ranch sauce and pico de gallo. They are made with flour tortillas which I found to be rather blah (I'm used to home-made or at least really good flour tortillas in my hometown which is 95% Hispanic). Thankfully, the chicken fingers were generous, hot, and tasty. I would have enjoyed a bit more of the sauce. It was not spicy at all. The pico de gallo was passing. Again, I've had the best elsewhere, so I'm a bit picky. Overall, the food was pretty good. It was a reasonable price. The food was served in styrofoam, disposable containers. The drink station had soft drinks and fresh brewed iced tea. The young lady who took my order was friendly, as was the manager who offered to clear my table of the tray and empty food container when I had finished. I would try Zaxby's again, but I would want to get something other than the tacos next time.

We had a table of 7 and everyone cleaned their plates and we were all stuffed. The burgers have such great flavor combinations and the waitress was super sweet and helpful. It is a rather large restaurant with a large bar and both upstairs and downstairs seating with a super cool vibe. I had the special don't be jelly burger and it was nothing short of amazing. Double patty, pimento cheese , fried pickles, bacon and sweet and spicy jam. All of my favorites in one super loaded burger with all the flavor! Highly recommend you give it a try. I sure hope they make it a permanent burger on the regular menu. The fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned and we dipped them in their homemade ranch which was also excellent. Two people in our group had the classic double stack and loved the addition of the fried jalapeños. Two people had the whiskey bourbon burger and said it was REALLY good as well. Overall, we loved this place!

We were seated quickly, as it was not super busy on a Saturday afternoon. Our server came quickly and took our drink orders and filled them quickly. She even handled our change of mind without a pause. Nice! Appetizer of Fried ravioli with Parmesan cheese sprinkled was nice and crunchy. Served with marinara sauce. Mom got the Chicken Parmigiana, layered over fettuccini. The portion was huge and quite crunchy, without being overcooked. The chicken was still tender and not dry but the flavor was just meh. It also was lacking in marinara sauce for the noodles. The star of the show was the 4 Train Remix pizza! It comes with Grade mozerella, grilled chicken, smoked gouda, pickled onions, roasted corn, chipotle bbq sauce and cilantro. I opted to add brisket to the 14" pie. Have mercy! The flavor!! The toppings worked so well together and the brisket just added another level of complexity. I would have preferred a slightly thicker crust since the oils tend to sog our the crust. It was a little messy to hold but that just added to the fun. We also tried the Nada Colada mocktail with Torani coconut, pineapple juice and ginger ale and it was really good.

There are a handful of tables that comfortably seat 2-4 people, a row of individual counter stools, and one larger table that can fit a group of six. Parking is easy and free in the lot right next to the restaurant, which is always a plus. I also absolutely love their retro-style motor lodge sign -- it sets the tone before you even walk in. Chef Wallace truly knocked it out of the park with the Nesters Fried Egg and Chicken dish. Paired with a side of cheesy grits, it turned into one of the most flavorful and texturally satisfying breakfasts I've had in a long time. The dish features crispy fried chicken, soft-centered eggs, jalapeños, fresh herbs, sunflower seed dukkah, shallots, toasted pepper, and a beet remoulade that ties everything together. The batter on both the chicken and the eggs was cooked perfectly -- crisp without being hard, and tender without being underdone. Dip it into the bright pink beet remoulade and it's a match made in heaven. The sunflower seed dukkah added a subtle crunch that elevated the entire plate without overpowering it. I was fully expecting the jalapeños to bring serious heat, but they were marinated in something slightly sweet, which completely caught me off guard in the best way possible. Every bite had balance, contrast, and depth. I honestly could not get enough. If you're in Jackson, this is a must-eat dish. Don't debate it, don't overthink it -- just order it. The service was also very good, attentive without being intrusive, and rounded out an already fantastic experience. Easily a five-star breakfast spot that I would return to again and again.
