The food came out hot and the server was friendly and astute. Ther was a little wait but it was worth it.

Love getting their fish strips. They are perfect everytime! Great Fish spot in Jackson Metro, arguably has the best fish in the city! read more

This place is beyond amazing. You know the food is going to be good when the decor is mismatched. Every time I come back to Mississippi I have to get some pantrout. Plus Houston area has no where for me to get pantrout. It was seasoned to perfection and so was the pork chop. Service was not quick. Which was fine cause I knew my food would be fresh. They did give me fries instead of the fried okra. They rectified the error quick. Will definitely be back every time I'm in Mississippi! read more

The food was hot and delicious. The service was exceptional. The ambiance was warm and inviting.

I will be going back the next time I am in town. Tried both the catfish and pantrout. Did not disappoint.

The food tastes amazing. We placed our order over the phone and it was ready in about 10 minutes.

Harvey's Fish Hut is a classic, old school kind of divey seafood shack (there really is no other way to describe it). It is on a side street just off of a busy road and not far off of Interstate 20 in Pearl, Mississippi. The prices are good and while the ambiance is pretty much nothing even remotely close to fancy, there is a particular charm in sitting in a room with stark cinder lock walls with an atrocious shade of what can best be described as a red clay type of brown watching a television that definitely seen better days and dining on some great fried fish. I opted to go with the three piece catfish filets along with french fries and fried okra. I took a seat and while away my time watching the end of a "Happy Days" episode and the start of a "M*A*S*H" episode on MeTV. Eventually my name was called and I Went and got my Styrofoam container of fried goodness. Let me state that there is some pretty amazing food here. The catfish was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of breading. It was only enhanced by some hot sauce and tartar sauce. While the french fries could have used a bit more salt, they were expertly prepared. The fried okra was also well prepared. We need these places in our communities. A place where we can go for great food at a great price point. Harvey's Fish Hut is that kind of place for the Pearl, Mississippi community and with the steady flow of people coming through the door and grabbing their food with a gleam in their eyes, the people in Pearl, Mississippi are happy that Harvey's Fish Hut is a part of their town. read more

This is the best catfish I have eaten in a long time! The staff were friendly and helpful. Will stop there again when passing through Pearl, MS. It was a joy to watch the kitchen work with laughter and teamwork! Lightened my entire day read more

Doesn't look fancy, but the catfish was tender, nicely fried, in decent sized pieces. The counter service is helpful and nice. The decor is very simple, plain, casual/ rustic. The small salad was good, fries too. Good value for 3 piece set. Pan-fried trout might be larger, but it has bones. Slices of bread are included in case you want to eat sandwich style. Not quite 5 stars, but popular with locals. read more

Oh my goodness...so good and reasonably priced. The menu is very similar to Eddie and Ruby's but I dont know it they have a Bubba platter? 4 party wings, 2 catfish filets and fries. A wonderful sight to see..I'll be back anytime wr stay in Pearl. read more

This is the best fish I've had since I've left East Texas. The seasonings on the pan trout is out of this world. You know the whole in the walls are the best. This might be my new fried fish spot. Our little secret. And always ask questions. They'll look like they don't want to answer but they actually love us lol. You have to go to Harvey's. OH yeah, the dinner plates are full of fish, enough for 2 people. I will eat on the plate for 3 meals it's so much. Drake read more

The fish was good, but I would highly recommend the chicken wings... Some of the best I've ever had... This place should be called Harvey's fish n chicken hut... I would recommend calling your order in. This is a hole in the wall, but you won't be disappointed if you want something good read more

Cashier was super nice and made sure i had everything i needed before i left. Food was fresh and well-seasoned.

Came home for Christmas and wanted to check out Harvey's since a high school classmate talked it up so. Oh happy day. The pan trout is the best. I have not had pan trout so good since I moved away over 30 years ago. The fried okra hit the spot and the fries were not soggy. When next I fly home to visit family, Harvey's is on my list. read more

One of my favorite places to get a fish plate. I ordered the catfish sandwich, which comes with three nice size pieces of catfish and bread. The catfish dinner comes with a salad and fries and is only a a few dollars more. But I really didn't want the salad and fries as I seen them as fillers. Service is standard. People are efficient with some being friendly and some simply being efficient only. Since there's no table service (you order at the window) it doesn't matter much. There are only 6 tables that seat 4 each so it's mostly take out business. It's worth the drive to get some fish fr It's definitely worth the trip to g read more

The lady behind the counter was super friendly when taking our order so points for that, unfortunately the food was all extremely bland. The salad, bread, fries, and fish were all plain as could be and the fishy was also pretty fishy it needed to be fried harder for sure. Wished this was better as it's on the way home, but unfortunately we won't be back. read more

The food was great, but customer service was sour. The lady taking our order has an attitude that was not pleasant at all.

The food is always fresh and GOOD! It's the place to be on a Friday night! The atmosphere is always family friendly. The service is impeccable and I'm not just saying that because I'm related. The service really is awesome even when it's busy. Long live Bubba read more

BEST CATFISH!!!! And great prices!!!! I picked up the 4pc with fries and Hushpups! AWESOME!

All I can say about this place is if you want some hot fresh ready fish hit them up but I'd like to order in advance like 30 minutes before I actually go like they said it's gonna be 15 minutes so it would be 45 minutes so it'll be hot and fresh when I get there I'm not saying that that is not I'm talking about what I do, but they have some really good fish some decent prices read more

Food is good and hot every time I order. It's a nice drive from where I live but the fish is worth the drive.

I'm a southern girl so I know fried catfish. This is absolutely in the top three places I've ever had fried catfish. These guys know what they're doing. While I was in line I actually saw a delivery of fresh fish being made. You don't need to do anything to this fish to eat it, no salt, no pepper, nada. I will say my hands just won't let me NOT put hot sauce on there even as delicious as it was. Watch for them next to the interstate. They're easy to get to but there's nothing else at the exit. Can't imagine why they have $$$ for the price. Very reasonable. read more

While Traveling thru Jackson in search of some good fried fish as i remembered back in 2006 when i lived there and we stumbled across this place in nearby Pearl, MS. Hot, Fresh, and Delicious! Delicious fish. Cooked fresh to order. Looks like a hole in the wall from the outside. Don't let that fool you it's amazing! Tremendous portions! No fountain drinks but cokes available for purchase (bottled) ours were served to go style. My only complaint was no cocktail sauce for fish which is my favorite. Thank you to Yelp, we found this small hole in the wall that was packed with cars in front and the side. Heading on the way to Dallas and I didn't want drive through fast food. A little fish shack that you will blink and miss it. Open the wooden door and there are enough table and seats for 20 people, and a tv in the corner. There was a line and once I ordered, my food took about 15 minutes for it to be ready. So call ahead if you could. Many take out orders while I was waiting. Holy Moly: Ummm ummm....you will devour that fish. Fries are like the drive in crinkly kind and basic salad. Prices are so cheap, $5 for a pantrout manager deal includes one large piece of crunchy and hot goodness, fries, salad, and bread. The tartar sauce was a perfect blend of pickle and mayo. Sprinkle hot sauce over the fish, and go for it. Less than $11 for a 4 pc fish combo. Wow! Wish we had this place back home in Dallas. We would have loved to try their pork chop and catfish but this was just a quick snack for me. Support this small business people! Try something different besides McDonald's or other drive thru places. We did and can't wait to return. read more

It's not often that we can afford to eat out, but when we can, Harvey's Fish Hut is our go to place. Their fried catfish is the best in my opinion! There are always a lot of people there, so it takes patience, but it's worth the wait. You can call in your order but we like to go there and make our order. That's just our preference. The people who work there are friendly, and down to earth. The portions are generous, and the price is worth it when we can go. The food is hot, and I always have some left for the next day, but my husband eats all of his, and wants to help me eat mine the next day! Harvey's also has 3 locations! I found that out one night when the one in Pearl was closed. The one in Brandon is open later! Same good food, same friendly service! So, yes Harvey's is a great place to pickup a good fried fish dinner, we love it! read more
