And the seasonings were perfect. Husband and I went bunless, which was a smart choice because it was so filling and we definitely needed room for the fries! Our 12 year old is a self-proclaimed burger connoisseur and he said it was a perfect blend of quality and quantity. He ate all but four bites. (Took the pic on the road so it's a bit blurry.) The country fried steak was crispy on the outside and hot on the inside and had plenty of gravy on top. Also, the gravy was exactly the right consistency. The coleslaw was excellent and the green beans were hot as well, and both were seasoned well. The unsweetened tea was very tasty and fresh. The burger was cooked to medium as requested. The bacon and cheese were great toppings as was the crisp lettuce and what tasted like local tomatoes. One of the best things about the burger was the homemade white bun--(also served with the country steak). It tasted like buns my mom used to make. The onion rings were hot and crispy, with a wonderful crunchy fried batter. Delicious! We haven't tried the pudding yet, but we'll update our review tonight when we try it out!
