Amazing gem of a place right outside Jackson. We got the crab salad, full order of Gumbo, and the American Burger. The gumbo was top notch with lots of umami and chock full of crab, crawfish, and shrimp. The burger with fried egg and bacon was great. Only downside was the yolk was not runny but the sauce and bacon hit it out of the park. The salad had fresh greens and a large lump of fresh crab. We wished we lived in the area to come here a few times a week.

Should you stop? YES!! Get the open face po'boy. Go with some special rice. Great food great staff. Headed south go around Jackson and head here.

Always stop here on our way to the gulf. Delicious food. The poorboy sandwiches are delicious. Our non seafood eater ordered a wagyu burger and reported that it was good and juicy.

If you are searching for gumbo that won't make your mouth pucker from too much salt, don't go to New Orleans come to this spectacular little hole in the wall and you will will walk away full and happy.

The food was excellent. My husband had the AHA special fried rice and it was SO good-the best thing we tried. I had the tacos (shrimp, pork, and salmon-I wouldn't get the salmon next time but that's just personal preference) and they were also excellent. So fresh, and the mango and avocado w/the sauce really set them apart. We also had the hush puppies and they were unique w/a spicy twist and yummy. My son had the kids fish and he liked it. I would like to see them add fried shrimp to the kids menu-that's what he really wanted but I just couldn't pay for an adult shrimp meal for half of it to be wasted. I also LOVE the prayer wall. What a great thing to see God getting the glory and recognition that He deserves. We would definitely stop in again if in the area again in the future.

This is an A+ rating. It's not easy to acquire or to maintain. It takes coordinated hard work and effort. The place must be clean to high sanitary levels and food handling must be high-quality. My friends and I found this place while we were visiting the area to see the House in Between. It's tucked back in a strip mall, and boy was it good. I had their Mahi sandwich and their jalepeño hush puppies. Service was fantastic. The staff were friendly and chatted with us for a bit. I know I would definitely return. Food- place seems fresh. Came because the reviews. We had the fried seafood platter and the crab leg boil. All the fried food expect the French fries had a weird after taste the only thing that saved it was the seasoning on them. The boiled potatoes had no favor along with the corn. The crab legs were great. The shrimp were hard to peel and over cooked. Would I go back? No. We spent 85 dollars And it was a big disappointment. We felt rushed because we our server kept asking us to pay because he was clocking out. I wanted dessert but the server give us the check and kept rushing us to pay. On the way home, my partner and I got the runs. read more

We got here about 11:30 on a Sunday and beat the lunch crowd. A friendly employee invited us to pick a seat and quickly got our cups for our drinks, they are self serve. The price is great for soft drinks at $1.39 each. The restaurant is very clean and the tables, chairs and decor all look new. We ordered the kids fish, kids chicken bites, special fried rice and shrimp po'boy. It took about 10 minutes to come out and the waitress was just as nice and friendly as the other employees we met. This place was absolutely outstanding. The Cook, his name might've been Bradly, was extremely friendly and I enjoyed his Louisiana accent. The ambience music was also excellent and uplifting. First thing... We were greeted so very kindly as we entered this family friendly restaurant. My wife and I shared: - Swamp Platter with Fried Frog Legs, Alligator, and Shrimp. - The Small bowl Gumbo - Half pound of Crawfish. - Mixed Fried Rice with Crab, Crawfish, Shrimp and Chicken - Banana Foster Cheese Cake Egg Roll Every single dish was excellent! Servings were generous and we had some food to take that will absolutely and happily be eaten tomorrow!! Very intense and wonderful Flavors! You have to stop here and get the A'HA fried rice. It is so dang delicious. Service was amazing and the staff is super friendly. My husband got crawfish and gumbo and raved about it. My son got a wagyu burger and my daughter the Bahn 'mi. Everyone loved their food. The A'ha sauce is super delish as well! It is a cute little place. The only bad thing about it was that it's so far from home! We stopped by traveling from TN back home to Texas but i ABSOLUTELY would stop again if i am ever near here again. read more

YUM! I had the A'Ha jambalaya and my wife had the seafood gumbo. Mine was really tasty with lots of chicken and sausage a just the right amount of heat. The gumbo had shrimp, crab, and chicken and was delicious! Great server too! Highly recommend! read more

OMG! This place is amazing! The food was fresh, seasoned to perfection and presented nicely. My husband got the Shrimp PoBoy sandwich and fries! My husband is a Chef and he couldn't say enough about the flavor and the freshness of the food. He is very picky about food, how it should be seasoned, presented, cooked and portion size. I had the chicken sandwich. The breading on the chicken was seasoned great and not too heavy. The special sauce was very flavorful. I loved the pickles and grilled bun. Great job! I tried the BBQ ribs tonight (a special this month). They were the best ribs I have ever had. They were unique in that they were smoked on a grill, then fried to give them a slight crisp, and then doused with a Hawaiian BBQ sauce. I was dining in and my food came out within 20 minutes. Wasn't a long wait time to me. I enjoyed my shrimp poboy. I got cocktail sauce to go on it, which made it that much better to me. Plenty of shrimp but I didn't notice until I was almost done that all I got was tomatoes on it. No lettuce at all. All I asked them to hold was the mayo. The crawfish rolls were a meal by themselves. I enjoyed them a lot, especially once they brought me the accompanying remoulade sauce. The gumbo was good but I was full and decided to save it for later. I only had a spoonful of it but it seemed good. Atmosphere was a little shaky. A group of kids came in while I was waiting on my food. They ended up sitting at the table next to me and were a little rambunctious. I wouldn't have minded them too much except the little boy kept playing with his slinky and throwing it in my direction. This made me uncomfortable, especially since they seemed to be the owner's kids and no one told them to stop. I should have moved to another table but felt I shouldn't have to. The chargrilled oysters were very good and if I had not had them in New Orleans I would have been most pleased. Of course, these were not as good as Felix's. A'ha Crawfish Bistro has a menu for everyone. From fried rices, po boys, gourmet burgers, pastas, salads, and all the wonderful authentic red beans and rice, jambalaya, and gumbo. Oh and we can't forget the delicious tacos with mango pico. Our whole family of 12 came everyone had something to choose from. The BEST food in town! We stopped to try it on our way to Florida. It was so good we stopped back by on our way home. It will be a stop for us every time we come through town!
