If you can get the burger freshly cooked and the fries freshly cooked then this is probably one of the best if not THE best burger place in the greater Jackson area. Unfortunately, our last visit was not the case. The patties for our burgers had obviously been cooked in advance and were a bit overcooked and dry as well as not very hot. Same for the fries. I've eaten their food in the past when the burger was cooked freshly and the fries were fresh and hot, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Food was delicious. I love a good smash burger. The comeback sauce reminds me of a raising canes sauce. The bacon is thick cut. The onions are pickled homemade. I normally don't leave bad reviews, but how else can a business improve? And to be honest, this is a place where the quality of the individual parts don't equal a "quality sum". The individual parts of their burger is all quality, but the way they put them together leaves something lacking & I'm a huge sammich fan, but bear with me & I'll try to explain: I believe how you assemble a burger is just as important as the ingredients themselves... I have a strict belief of how a burger should be assembled: mayo & mustard on each bun, pickles & onions on the bottom bun, with a meat patty on top of those, maybe a squirt of ketchup on top of the meat/cheese patty, then lettuce & tomato on top of that, followed by the top bun; the burger sorts "sticks together" that way. Mine was assembled as follows: dry bottom bun, meat/cheese patty, mayo, mustard & ketchup all directly on top of that, followed by a hugely thick tomato slice, then lettuce & pickles & onions, followed by a dry bun on top... the condiments, placed between the cheese & tomato/lettuce created a slick, slippery mess that did not stay together, all between two "dry buns"... none of it was assembled with any care & it was hard to eat & condiments dripping out everywhere. That's all that was wrong: little care or thought in assembly of the burger. Again, the individual components (other than the excessively thick tomato slice) were great, but is was a sloppy mess with condiments between the cheese & tomato, no way for the bread & condiments/ingredients to "come together... management, please teach your employees how to assemble a burger & I'd be leaving a far different review. Just that simple. read more

I had the smokehouse and it was excellent and fresh. It had a lot of flavor and the patty was crispy. The fries were season well and tasted good. The service was generally nice but a little slow. I won't get mad about it because they are new and were crowded. The space is small and sometimes lacking space and seating for the amount of people. These are some of the BEST burgers around! My fave is the Shroom Burger, sub white American for the Swiss. We ask for the fries extra crispy and the ranch for dipping. YUM! I've seen so many great reviews from this place and decided to try it out. I ordered through DoorDash. I ordered the Smokehouse burger I rate it 6.5/10. The meat could've used more seasoning and more bbq sauce. I had to add more because it's so much meat for so little sauce they put on it. Next, the Loaded Fries I rate it 7.5/10 , it was really salty but other than that it's actually good. Last but not least the Banana Pudding I rate it 9/10 , it was really good. read more

It is rated number one in Flowood, as it should be. Classic smashburgers. Great fries. I think the buns may be homemade because they look and taste homemade. I got the flagship which was really good. My wife had the brunch burger which was really good, too. Very convenient location. Great addition to the Flowood restaurants. We love Foundation Burger! We normally get take out and our order is always perfect. Burgers are delicious and perfectly cooked. I normally order the Firecracker which has fried jalapeños on it.
