The foods just OK, bout it now.Course it was fantastic before so it does hurt them. Went from great whole wings that were huge, lightly breaded and perfectly fried to cut up small Nekid fried wings. Not whole wings anymore. Huge downgrade. Not bad if you like them that way though. Just wings, nothing special. Catfish? It was OK. Fell apart on me. Not crispy. Kinda bland. They don't out the seasoning on them like he did. They're only 2-3 blocks from my office so I'll go try a couple more things to see what they're like. Won't be wings or catfish showing. We had a table of 7 and everyone cleaned their plates and we were all stuffed. The burgers have such great flavor combinations and the waitress was super sweet and helpful. It is a rather large restaurant with a large bar and both upstairs and downstairs seating with a super cool vibe. I had the special don't be jelly burger and it was nothing short of amazing. Double patty, pimento cheese , fried pickles, bacon and sweet and spicy jam. All of my favorites in one super loaded burger with all the flavor! Highly recommend you give it a try. I sure hope they make it a permanent burger on the regular menu. The fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned and we dipped them in their homemade ranch which was also excellent. Two people in our group had the classic double stack and loved the addition of the fried jalapeños. Two people had the whiskey bourbon burger and said it was REALLY good as well. Overall, we loved this place!

I also purchased one fried catfish sandwhich. The fried catfish was prepared on the spot and it was very hot and fresh. The seasonings were very good if not for a wee bit salty (but I find most dishes salty so maybe it's just me). The catfish was crispy on the outside and juicy and soft on the inside. In my opinion it was fried perfectly. In fact I can't even fry catfish this well at home. The corn nuggets and fries were equally fresh and delicious. The service was excellent. The employees were attentive when I walked in, they greeted me, and seemed eager to take my order and as soon as my order was prepared I was notified. It took 10 minutes to prepare my food and that was an excellent wait. While I waited for my food several others came and ordered and I could tell this restaurant does brisk business. I will most definitely return because of the wonderful customer service and quality and quantity of food. 601 Fish and Wings Expres gets 4 Stars!

I got the three pieces wing battered. They were fried really hard is why I gave 4 stars. Came out hot though but was just way to hard and crispy for my liking. I had the spicy garlic sauce and ranch to pair. She also suggested the duck & cream cheese wontons. Which were also good. Just only gave you 4 so to me the portion and price point didn't match. Other then then everything else was good. Jameson and ginger is my go to and it was done right. Really hard to fuck that up but everything was good. Plenty of TVs if you want to watch the games. So ambiance was good. I would definitely recommend.
