my first time eating here and the food was amazing loved the vibe here and will definitely come back

Seafood boil (snow crab, shrimp, mussels and corn)

The seafood was good, the service was amazing and the ambiance (the music) made me feel like I was in Louisiana! Thank you! We had a great time :)

Absolutely, the best seafood boil I ever had!!! the crab legs were filled with meat, a little pricey, but worth it for what I got. I'm definitely going back. I love how they offer a hair tie for your hair. There is sinks right for you to wash up and then give you scissors to cut the crab legs , which makes eating so much easier!! Really nice clean place and unlimited noodles, which were absolutely delicious!!

Bored on a Sunday and craving oysters, the hubs and I rolled up to Loui.. just a few folks were dining so we were seated right away. Nothing bad to say at all. Service was quick and friendly./'Tried the raw oysters, fried oysters calamari and fries... kept it really simple but we were satisfied when we left ... the drinks were also delish

    Seafood boil, Margarita, bib. AWESOME!

I was at home on a lazy day off, craving seafood and boozy beverages. Found Cap't Loui online. I've passed this restaurant several times in real life but I have never tried the food. I ordered a delivery of a seafood boil, with two classic Margaritas. Everything SLAPPED! Omg...hot, juicy snow crab legs that slid easily out of the shell. The corn was sweet. Shrimps were clean and yummy. The sauce was spicy-not all soupy and the rest of the goodies were PERFECT! I underestimated the alcohol levels in the Margarita and ordered two. I was hit after two sips. Super intense but really delicious l. I really enjoyed my boozy, tasty meal. Being greedy, I went for round two a day later. Honestly, it was lacking. Maybe because I added the garlic pasta noodles to this boil bag??? It was just NOT the same. The sauce went from saucy to loose, the seafood lacked color and the noodles were bland. I have to drop by and eat inside at Cap't Loui next. Third time's a charm!

I ordered delivery via Grubhub - it was absolutely delicious. The crawfish are in the smaller side, but the clams are large cherry stone clams! Each boil comes with corn and potatoes. Gloves and a bib were included in the delivery ordered. I really appreciated the fact that they double bagged the boil- there were no leaks at all. Highly recommend trying the food out here!

Delicious food and fast service. Great beverage options. Horrible pina colada too much pineapple juice. Also I'm taking away a star because virgin drinks cost the same as drinks with alcohol which makes zero sense to me other than getting over on the customer, overall I would absolutely come back but I wouldn't order a virgin drink again because its not worth the money Great service clean and efficient

Nice seafood boil restaurant! While the sauce options are limited, the Loui sauce is very good, and this place makes up for it with a good variety of seafood and yummy garlic noodles! Seriously don't just get the corn and potato, the noodles are a must here. Their spice levels are pretty good too, though I still wanted a bit more from the hottest option. They also have really yummy Capri sun cocktails - the Ms.Green was deliciously sour and super refreshing! The dining experience is pretty casual, which is nice for something like this. It seems this place doesn't get too crowded usually, at least on weekdays, which gave us a lot of space and privacy. Also the service deserves a shoutout as staff were very helpful and quick.

It's got a solid, nautical feel that gives you enough brass and wood to feel like a real lobster shack. They've got a generous stretch of outdoor seating for when the weather is nice, and inside, the music sits at a good volume. Then comes the food. I started with the clam chowder. It's good ...comforting, rich, well-made ......even if it's a little light on the minced clams. I caught myself digging around with my spoon, searching for a few more chunks of clam in the creamy broth, but I forgave it because the flavor was fantastic. Main event: the Maine lobster roll. Now look, I've eaten lobster rolls all over the Northeast..and a few other places. When you order a lobster roll, you're looking for flavor and simplicity. Red Hook's roll is good. The lobster is fresh. But here's the thing: at an overall tab running around $80 a head, you expect a top-tier entry into the culinary lobster roll pantheon. Instead, it lands on the smaller side of the spectrum. Worse, the kitchen holds back on the seasoning. Lobster is sweet and rich, sure, but it needs a little help...... a hint of herbs, or just a generous hand with the salt/pepper to elevate it from good to great. It's a good roll, but when the check landed, I couldn't help feeling a bit let down. To finish, I looked at the dessert choices. Options were slim, but I ordered the flourless chocolate cake and it did the job. I'll definitely give this place a second visit and possibly try some of the other items on their menu. My server was very attentive throughout the entire dinner without being overbearing. I wanted to mention her name but unfortunately misplaced my receipt. I love the fact that when I chose the calamari, that they do have the tentacles as well, and not just the rings. For Peaches Prime to meet that one thing was a BIG PLUS to me for a restaurant that looks a little bit more upscale. But the icing on the cake was the fact that I was able to ask for more calamari with the tentacles in less rings so for me that is a win! The drink glasses are quite small like most upscale restaurants are so by the time you put ice in a cup you don't have that much to drink. I ordered shrimp and grits and it has kale in it with mushrooms and the flavor profile was good, but it's not like a southern profile for grits. A southern flavor profile is more rich and hearty. It was good, but the grits were on the runny side. I was provided a fork. I thought it was a small joke at first. You 100% require a spoon and fork with the shrimp and grits. You need a fork for the shrimp and to remove the tails using your butter knife, but to eat the dish you need a spoon. I like the fact that the kitchen did have a little kick of spices. One thing that is always underrated when you go out to eat at a restaurant anywhere in the world, but especially in North America even in Canada, is that food usually comes out to your table warm not hot. But the food came out piping hot and I love that fact. So that's ANOTHER WIN!! They have non-gender restrooms. They were very clean. The hallway that leads to the restrooms seem to be in a different restaurant. I wanted dessert, but I didn't have the room for it after my delicious meal. I definitely will be back but it's not a restaurant that I can come to every week or else. It's not gonna be good for my diet. I would eat too much!

We were able to get a reservation here for 530 on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy. I…read morereally liked the layout with the green tables and booths. The long mirrors on the walls made the space feel bigger and taller as well. First and foremost, I'm giving this place a 5 for the service as they really went above and beyond. It was not the occasional stop by to refill water and grab dirty plates. Our waiter provided great recommendations and offered me a small sample of a wine I had heard him recommend to another table after I had already ordered my orange wine. In terms of food, the bluefin tuna special was very fresh. We enjoyed the hush puppies and the swordfish belly. The fry basket had thin rectangularly shaped fries which were amazing. The only thing is I wish it came with more than two pieces of shrimp and two pieces of fish. The chargrilled oysters were also very good. Lastly they offered free bread pudding which was a perfect way to end the night.

Pardon my late review... rewind to restaurant week and enjoying the company of my two sweet aunts…read more(they are lowkey baddies) and an evening dinner at Strange Delight. I selected the restaurant but was so engrossed in life, I didn't realize it was restaurant week. SD put together a really nice menu and I already knew what I wanted, which usually takes me a lot of time to decide, but the Sweet Baddies decided to order everything on the restaurant week menu for us to share! So, I am going to give a brief (real brief) of each. I'm going to start with the drinks because they were superior. I ordered a French 76, which was sublime. Raw oysters with a mignonette- good for a first time eating a raw oyster; Steamed shrimp- big, fresh and delicious; Grilled oysters- yummy but a little skimpy; Smoked trout Fish dip- my favorite and because we all loved it, we discussed replicating it at home and which brand of tinned fish was best Chinese broccoli salad- was okay; Hush puppies- the aunts liked. I'm not a fan so I skipped; Fry basket- delicious; Shrimp loaf- delicious, but not $25 delicious; There were some more dishes that were not as memorable but good. For return visit, I would definitely order drinks and smoked trout dip. Because they seem to update their menu, who knows what the main would be... Nevertheless, service was impeccable, the ambience was really chill and had a sexy vibe. although the place was full and really busy, it didn't seem that loud.
