This might be my next favorite dim sum spot without needing to trek into flushing. This place is located on northern Blvd in bayside. If you know where the old bcdtofu house was, it basically replaced it. The parking lot is still just as bad. The following is based on the dim sum round only. We were very lucky and got a table for 10 on Saturday at a little after 12 pm. The service was amazing, and whatever we wanted, they pretty much found it for us and brought it to our table without needing to get up to search for it. Note that we were in the private room area, so we were afraid that we would have trouble getting food. Nope, it wasn't an issue. We ended up ordering probably a variety of 30 dim sum dishes (some duplicates), and everything was fresh and yummy. They even have durian pastry for the daring, definitely not for me. The following is worth mentioning or a definite must if you go: ha chern (steam shrimp rice roll), siu mai (steam pork and shrimp dumpling), null pak yip (beef osasum), chun guen (spring roll), fried long green peppers with fish paste ($10 for 4 but very delicious), and coconut square jello. Came for dim sum on a weekend to give the newest Cantonese spot in Eastern Queens a try. Not much to add that most won't know - typical Cantonese seafood restaurant menu that serves dim sum. Dim sum was average here. Nothing was great and nothing was bad. Their pork buns with pineapple topping was decent but not enough filling. Restaurant was remodeled a bit from the last establishment but not entirely. Service here was pretty much what you get from any dim sum place in Queens which means it was passable. Prices were also on par with other Cantonese places in Little Neck and Douglaston. Not a bad addition to Bayside but this makes me miss the old BCD Tofu House just a tad. A classic dim sum spot! Come early (before 11am) to avoid the lunch rush because once it hits you'll have difficulty flagging down the push cart ladies to get food. Everything came out fresh and hot! Highly recommend the classics (beef/shrimp cheong fun, chicken feet, tripe, black pepper short rib). They also had some cute novelty buns that are great for the gram but not as tasty and the normal looking buns. There's a small parking lot as well as nearby street parking. I was very excited about this old-time- favorite Flushing Cantonese restaurant reopening in Bayside. We dined in for Saturday dinner at 6pm. The restaurant was completely packed. Loud, noisy, and so many people waiting at the entrance and watching you eat. I feel too stressed to enjoy my food. The kitchen was currently short staffing. I hope this is just a temporary issue. An hour after ordering, our soup finally was sent here. Every dish is in a huge portion and of course with a bit surprising high price. Overall, the taste is authentic and good. The only problem of whole meal was the fish. We ordered a live fish $38 per pound and it was not fully cooked through in the center. The chef surely rushed to make it. It really upset my stomach when I saw raw parts on the fish. 8 dishes plus a soup cost $441. I probably won't go back in the near future unless someone else is going to treat me. read more

I came here during its 3rd day open while it still is somewhat a soft open. This place is newly renovated and spacious with 3 private room areas to accomodate different sized groups. The food is as good as any Cantonese place in Flushing. The food selection is standard and the cooks here do not over oil the dishes. Overall an excellent food experience that you expect. Service The service here was pretty poor. Visited this spot since it was new to the neighborhood. However even being seating in a non busy restaurant it took about 20 mins to be seated. Once seated the waiter took a long time to tend the table and didn't give our table any of the complimentary peanuts like the tables right next to us. After taking our order the food took about 40 - 50 minutes to come to our table that's with asking three different waiters to check on our food.. Once we've received our food there was no rice apparently and they told us to wait another 10 minutes. In the 10 minutes the rice never came out which was ridiculous. With that being said the waiters who clean the tables basically throw everything to the cart that makes such a loud noise. The sound level here is terrible and so loud. I would never visit again. I didn't know they served dim sum until recently so I wanted to try it. And I have to say that this is the only place that has satisfied my dim sum cravings lately! I came in on a weekday morning right before lunch service, so it wasn't busy at all. The service was pretty good! Pretty attentive, but also give you your space. Cart ladies come by pretty often & let you know which dim sums are fresh right out of the steamer! Everything is pretty fresh & delicious! They serve a very delicious braised beef stomach + offal (牛雜) dim sum, which not many places offer anymore & the portion size is worth the price! I also really enjoyed their har gow with snow pea shoots (豆苗蝦餃) & Teochew dumplings (潮州粉果)! I wish the braised chicken feet (凤爪) had a little bit more flavor, but it was braised well enough that it was quite fall off the bone! Their lunch specials are a delicious steal - it comes with soup! I ordered one for takeout when I left! Honestly, I didn't expect a whole lot from Canton Manor, but now that I've had it I can honestly say it was some of the best prepared Cantonese seafood I've had in a long time. We had twin lobsters Cantonese style and they were cooked to perfection. Juicy on the inside with a smoky, garlicky crust. The fish and tofu casserole was out of this world. They also serve dim sum but I believe it's only until 4:00 p.m. so we miss that. The waiter was very nice and was more than happy to guide us with our menu choices. One word of caution: the place gets real busy and even though it's huge with lots of tables, by 7:00 p.m. there was a line of people waiting that went out the door so I would suggest reservations if you can. read more

We came in this past Sunday at 11am to try their dim sum. The parking lot was full. There was a small wait at the door but luckily we immediately got a table for 4 as others were larger parties. The decor was simple, nothing fancy, don't think they even change anything post BCD. The service was mediocre, we had to ask for the usual mustard and hot sauce, flag down several staff to get a high chair and waiter didn't even notice we were missing a 4th place setting. As for the food, the flavor was decent, but the frequency of food pushed around is a major issue. We ordered 1 shrimp rice roll and I swear the lady's cart was bare. After that, we waited approx 10-15 min for more food to come out. If you sat at the other end of the restaurant, they probably wouldn't have any food left in the carts by the time it gets to them. Both times we went during off hours because it gets really busy during prime hours with a line out the door. Honest to god the worst experience I've ever had in my 25+ years dining at Chinese restaurants, particularly in the flushing/ queens area. The restaurant is insanely short staffed and clearly does not know how to handle/ anticipate certain situations Placed an order for pick up. Arrived on time. Waited over an hour for my food to come out just for me to get home to notice 2 dishes were missing. Called up the restaurant who then forcefully claimed 1 of them was in the bag when clearly it was not and that she'd "owe" me the other one for the next time I would go. I told the lady I had already waited over an hour for my food so I did not want to argue, if she didn't believe me it was fine and we could deal through a third party and that I would prefer to receive a refund versus them "owing" me a dish because with this service, I don't want to go back. She then told me okay she'll void the initial charge and charge me the correct amount (bc items were missing), took down my card info and never did that. I was charged the full amount After waiting an hour for my food the lady said if we paid cash, we would not get charged tax because "the owners will cover the tax for you" but that same could not apply to card? Food was nothing fancy and not worth the time and hassle. If you're looking for Chinese food in the eastern queens area head to ln1380 or jade Asian bistro or the one on bell. 3.5 rating cause it just opened. the interior is nice, really reminds you of the old BCD but it has its own style. Some of the dishes were good, some were okay. I didn't really like the siu mai. Since they just opened, they also don't have some other classics like the dou fu fa or other almond tofu desserts. I heard great things about this place, so I was excited to try it. Came with family around 3ish on a Sunday afternoon for a early dinner. As the dimsum crowd was dwindling down we did request a bigger table in the back, however they were preparing for an event. We ordered the usual chicken, which isn't too bad but the presentation was lacking. It came out looking like a pale boiled chicken. The fried chicken was missing the shrimp chips so my baby cousin was sad about that. Peking porkchops were tasting a bit odd/off not the usual sweet and sour taste. Mushrom with egg tofu, the water/sauce were overflowing the dish, so not sure what happened there. Overall, the food was 'meh'. Definitely not coming back here again at least for dinner. I have never experienced something like this before. We came to this restaurant after seeing recommendations on social media. The food was okay traditional Cantonese food--fine but nothing special compared the surrounding area. We ordered 4 dishes, and some white rice. (They charge for white rice btw.) The bill came out to $135; we paid $155 total for a 15% tip of $20. After paying, the manager? Eric came over and ASKED US TO TIP MORE. We initially politely declined. But this guy Eric continued talking to us in Chinese about the tip, saying most people tip more and it's not enough. Well I think it's completely rude to ask for a higher tip. We were with our friends, so we felt compelled to add an extra $5 to just drop it. But it seems tipping culture has become so out of control that restaurants like this think that asking for higher tips is acceptable. Hope they enjoy that last $5..
