    SAUSAGE PLATE
    Vanessa T.

I chose Camp Outpost for our post-hike lunch/early dinner based off of their Yelp star rating. I should have read further, but with intermittent service in Zion, it was difficult. The sausage plate enticed me, and it was decent. Their portions are generous and I was able to share it and a side salad with my boyfriend. Food was overall uninspired, but classic American. Nothing to write home about. We weren't a fan of the table QR code, which had many more offerings than the paper menu. Seat yourself, place your order yourself, then after being served, be forgotten about and never offered more water. The carafe filled our three glasses once, then we were never checked on past our orders coming out. You also have to pre-tip on their website. It's hard to determine how service and food will be before even meeting anyone, so bring cash to leave on the table. With plenty of Zion options, I'd skip this spot.

Solid spot just outside Zion with outdoor seating with some nice views. I had the Camp Burger with grilled onions, and it had good flavor, just a little messy. The fries came out cold and needed some seasoning. I also tried a bite of the chips and salsa, which tasted fresh but was a little lacking in flavor. You seat yourself, the service was friendly. Overall, a decent 3.5-star experience.

Camp Outpost has a great patio setup and the service was quick and friendly, which made it a nice spot to relax outdoors. Unfortunately, the food itself was pretty underwhelming. We ordered the Slow-Roasted Pork Sandwich, but the meat was dry and the bread kept falling apart, making it difficult to enjoy. We also tried the Camp Burger, which was decent but lacked any real wow factor. Overall, it just felt like an average burger without anything particularly memorable about it. While the atmosphere and patio are nice, the food was bland overall and not something I'd personally come back for. If you're in the area, there are probably better food options nearby.

The knife was not sharp enough. If you're going to serve chicken on the bone with the thigh and drumstick attached, please provide appropriately silverware to eat it! QR code only establishment and it is my belief that if you're going to go that route, you should provide free wifi. The receipt automatically adds 18% tip by default. Didn't see any option to change this during check out. The waiter only came out to give water and drop off my food. No check in, no thank you/goodbye. Kinda pricey, but it could be due to location. It's right off the #4 Springdale bus stop from Zion.

Such a great spot right outside the park! We arrived late evening to our campsite and needed to find somewhere for dinner. This is such a great spot, friendly service, and delicious food. The Saratoga Pork Roast plate was delicious with the chimichurri sauce and roasted vegetables - definitely big enough to share!

Solid restaurant to get basic vittles in your stomach. For context, Zion doesn't have too much around it, but Springdale has more options within 10 minutes of the park compared to many other national parks. Service at Camp Outpost was great, despite my stomach acting up still from the food poisoning I got eating canned mussel provisions from Patagonia in Arches. Although I spent about a quarter of my time in the restaurant in the bathroom, the majority of the time was enjoying the rustic ambiance. Quiet restaurant with good lunchtime vibes, even during off season the restaurant delivered solidly on its club sandwich, fresh lettuce and tomatoes crunching against panfried bacon and rotisserie chicken. The pork chops were okay, a little tough to chew, but seasoned lightly with chimichurri and tasty. Highlight of the restaurant was probably the crispy brussels sprouts. Too bad my stomach didn't hold onto anything too long. Thanks to Camp Outpost for a delicious and relaxing lunch and sorry for using up your toilet paper roll in the post-meal realization my day before food poisoning reaction was still going on.

So yummy after a long day of hiking and exploring!! Service was unique but enjoyable. You ordered everything on your phone and the staff would then bring it out to your table. The type of service didn't disturb our experience! The restaurant was clean and seemed well staffed. After ordering our drinks and food came out very fast. They did have a large patio but we opted to sit inside as the AC was wonderful.

They're open during winter months, which is a big plus! Service is also really friendly here. We came in for dinner and tried the Camp Caesar, Mission Salad, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Chicken Strips (kids), and Cheese Quesadilla (kids). They also had a banana muffin out, which we grabbed. Their winter menu didn't have tacos or some other things, which was a bummer. Ordering at the counter is straightforward, and we took a number to our table. Food came out really quickly. The brussels sprouts were probably the best thing we ate. Even our kids loved them. Super crispy, great texture - yum! The kids offerings were okay. Good enough for the kids. The quesadilla was a corn flour one. Their fries were pretty good though. The two salads were also really nice. The garlic baguette that's served with the salads is phenomenal! Such a great texture on the bread, and I loved the seed crust. Plus, the salads were reasonably priced (looking at you, Onyx, and your ridiculously overpriced salad).

Nice spot in Zion for great comfort food. Easy to order by QR code and then they bring it out to the table. Fast and efficient. The food was well prepared and the portions were large. I had the camp burger and others in my party had the chicken taco's and mission salad bowl with chicken. Both said they were great! So I recommend this place if you are looking for a fast great food experience.

Great location, love the outside seating to enjoy the view - easy to order online from the tables.

Great place - easy self ordering online at the table. Quick service and beautiful views sitting outside. The food was good, and the burgers looked amazing. Walked here from the hotel, as it's in center of Springdale. Definitely worth it.

We loved this place so much we came here 3 times during our trip!! The rotisserie chicken was so good, I love how they did the potatoes, all of it. It feels like a good home cooked meal after a long day of being outside and hiking. We came back several times to try the burgers and tacos and tried the seasonal Mac and cheese and peach cobbler. Even the prickly pear margaritas were tasty! Highly recommend to anyone who's in the area. Looking forward to coming back if we're in town!

CAMP BURGER and sweet potato CAMP FRIES
    Michaela I.

Definitely felt like a millennial burger joint. You order through a QR code on the table and the prices were somewhat expensive for my taste. I got the burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was good, but didn't blow my mind good, didn't taste $22+ good. Sweet potato fries were fresh, but somewhat bland, needs more salt or seasoning. Food came out quick enough but staff was minimal contact with us, seemed like that was the goal of the restaurant.

Thank goodness for this place! An oasis in the desert. Food that was actually yummy and priced appropriately for what it was. Two adults & 1 kid shared the roast chicken platter and it was so delicious that my 6 year old offered to marry it. Ace/Auto Camp vibes. Will be back!

This was probably one of the best meals I have had in a very long time and we are from a big city - Los Angeles and eat out often. Loved our waitress! I don't know her real name but she was so very sparkly and personable and funny! She showed us pics on the iPad and definitely sold me! We tried the pretzel appetizer (amazing), the beet carpaccio (also just fantastic). I had the duck, my daughter had the linguine bolognese and a side of steak cooked immaculately perfect. We also had the salmon tofu, burger and fries, the pork ribeye. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted 10/10!!! We even had dessert and my Utah peach and blueberry crisp was perfection and I was devastated to have to leave it half eaten as my child had a meltdown. Will definitely write this recommendation so that the world knows to stop here. Thank you for a lovely meal and for helping me with my kiddo.

Pour that BBQ sauce and ranch all over, and you have yourself just the ticket after hiking 7 miles! My hubby snagged the pork verde crepes which he loved too. Check out the pics! MeMe went out of her way to find me a size small t-shirt that is beautifully screenprinted with a design that celebrates both Zion Canyon and MeMe's! Check them out! Unfortunately, it was a tad too big for me but they probably have your size. The meal was very reasonable for Zion/Springdale. We ate at the Red Rock Grill at the Lodge the night before. This meal was superior and half the price. The menu here is creative and unique. I loved this lil café with a lot of clocks, a bit of funk, and a thoroughly engaging owner in MeMe herself!! Go here for a yummy dining adventure when you are sick of the same ole overpriced steak and fish.

ETA more clarity based on the owner's response:…read more 1. The ketchup bottle label was literally "Ketchup", so my bad for assuming it was a generic brand. Maybe it is an organic artisanal potion handmade by monks in an ancient castle, but it was not good. Ain't nothing wrong with Heinz! On a side note, I apologize for the use of the word "basic" to describe the $16 cheeseburger - the burgers were good, but I meant that for this price you get standard ingredients (which is fine, and again I expect higher prices in a tourist town - but this goes back to my original point about the disappointing ketchup accompaniment). 2. I asked at the register if the wine came from a can, and the reply was simply "No, they're all from a box." I'll admit I'm not very educated about boxed wine beyond my Franzia college days, but if these are truly premium "award-winning" wines then maybe note this on the menu or pass this info along to your staff? I'm an easy sale, just need the deets! 3. If I just happened to get a poor batch of chicken, so be it. But no one checked on us during our meal (again, not expected since this is a casual spot, but this meant the only option was for me to carry my plate back inside and report the sub-standard salad to the person at the register). Maybe they would've been nice about it, maybe they would've scowled at me like I'm an evil Karen. Either way, if the chicken is overcooked or sitting out too long, that's on the cook or the food runner. Don't blame the customer because they didn't want to risk an awkward confrontation with the staff. Chicken aside, the salad was just okay. 4. I made a few suggestions to make the patio seating area more warm and welcoming with soft music, better lighting, and maybe a few decorative touches. Clearly the owner feels it does not need any improvement, and she is free to disregard my opinion. The bright panel lighting to enhance menu readability doesn't make sense since you order inside at the counter, but maybe they do table-side service sometimes? 5. We love supporting small businesses, and as I mentioned the service was friendly. They forgot to add cheese to one of the burgers, but the food runner was apologetic and fixed it quickly, so I didn't even note this in my original post. I'm not going to be guilted into changing my review, because it was a 3-star experience. This is my perspective, and I'm sure there are plenty of folks who would rate the price value, spinach salad, and outdoor ambiance 5 stars. I would still give them another try the next time I'm in the area, because the burgers were solid and I'm sure there are other menu items I would like more. Not a ton of good dining options in Springdale, and high tourist prices are to be expected. That said, they can do better. Generic label ketchup bottle on the table is a cheap move when you're charging $16 for a basic cheeseburger. The only wine options are from a box. Spinach salad is from a pre-mixed bag, which I could live with except for the dry chicken (extra cost) which also was clearly not made in house. Outside seating area is a weird vibe with office-bright fluorescent panel lighting and zero music - they could warm things up by adding string lights, a few led candles, and some chill music. Service was friendly though.

Pistachio Chicken: The chicken breast was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a thin, crispy crust that was especially impressive. The sauce blended the mild aroma of Poblano chili, the creamy richness of butter, and the unique fragrance of herbs. Most precious was the pistachio aroma, both vibrant and subtle, without overpowering or masking the other flavors, creating a delicate balance. Even the saltiness was just right, subtle and delicate. The surface was garnished with pico de gallo, fresh, sweet, tangy, and spicy, balancing the potential heaviness of the sauce. The asparaguses were also very fresh, with a natural fragrance, but perhaps a little too mild with the sauce. Kanab Cowboy Ribs: The pork ribs were slow-cooked and roasted until they were so tender that they easily fell off the bone, offering no resistance when cutting into them. The homemade barbecue sauce coated it thickly, rich and sweet, with an authentic American barbecue flavor. It might be a bit too sweet for most Chinese palates, but I thought it was quite good. The agave mustard vinaigrette seemed more decorative; I nearly couldn't really taste it. Lemon Sorbet: Homemade sorbet, offering the most soulful finish. It was breathtakingly beautiful at first glance; the simple white porcelain plate and glass were limpid and elegant, perfectly matching the sorbet's style. Unlike typical sorbets that emphasize extreme acidity, this restaurant took a different approach, with a gentle, even subtle, acidity that brings out the natural, lively fragrance of lemon, like Lolita's touch through pale silk. The texture was also delicate and smooth, without any ice crystals. Everyone was captivated; some even ordered an extra to take away. The restaurant claims that ingredients come from its organic garden. This might be a pointless gimmick, but the cooking and presentation of the dishes conveyed a consistent level of refinement and care, making it all the more valuable.

That's basically what happened here, except instead of chocolate and peanut butter, it was an art gallery and a gastropub. Somehow it works. The vibe here is funky in mostly the right ways. The decor has a yard sale chic aesthetic that's somehow carefully curated without looking like it tried too hard. The staff had just enough piercings and tattoos for me know they would love to talk to me about their record collections if I asked, and the whole place manages to feel both laid back and just upscale enough that you can justify ordering anything from a burger to what looked like a pretty respectable ribeye. I went with the Shroom, a portobello mushroom burger, and it was enjoyable. Tons of flavor, perfectly satisfying, and paired with one of the crispest side salads I've had in a while. Bonus points for the edamame. I will happily eat edamame in just about anything. Not with jello though. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals, although we collectively demonstrated the adventurous spirit of a group that mostly ordered the Pub burger. So I can't claim we've fully explored the menu yet. This just gives me an excuse to come back. Service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The only moment that caught me a little off guard was when the owner stopped by to let us know he had baseball cards for sale in one part of the restaurant, along with an upstairs gallery featuring local artwork. I felt like he might next open his coat to show me some watches. He's just down for the hustle I guess. The art ranged from "that's pretty nice" to "someone really, really loves painting Utah's red rocks." Most of it was priced well beyond what I was looking to take home, but honestly, I have to respect that they're giving local artists a place to showcase their work. So maybe I'm just being a little grumpy. Get off my lawn. By the way I'd be happy to eat here again
