We stopped in for breakfast and the omelette was good. The toast not so much, very dry and tasted burned. It didn't look burned, just had a strange taste that I can't really describe. My husband said the same thing about his. Cute little restaurant, it was clean and service was ok.

Cute place to stop in for lunch. Bright and colorful decor. Friendly service. We got the Cuban sandwich and the cuban rice plate with pork. Bathroom available. Paper towel for hand drying.

We came here for the cubano sandwich which has been well reviewed. It was probably in the bottom 50% of cubano sandwiches we have had. The flavor was meh and the sandwich overall was quite dry. The cheese wasn't melty. We had it with mustard. We also tried the steak sandwich. There wasn't much steak in it and it was also very dry. We prefer our meat tender and juicy. The French fries had a light breading on them. This seems to be a popular thing now, but I personally don't prefer it. The tostones were also quite dry. They came with a sauce which was much needed. The service was good. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to you. It's open seating. They kept my water and my husband's iced tea full. The inside was clean but there's no real ambience to speak of. The prices were reasonable.

I was craving Cuban food while visiting Kanab for my birthday. This place did not disappoint. Traveling with our dogs so we took the order to go. I called and the man on the phone was very nice. He verified the Kanab location and said it would take about 15 minutes. They also text you when it's ready. My boyfriend picked up the food and he said the place was cute and service was friendly. He also saw some outdoor seating. We got the pork plate and the steak plate. The steak in our opinion was the most flavorful. The pork was very tender but needed a bit more spicing. Rice and beans excellent. Small salad fresh and delicious with a nice kick. And fried plantains yummy. Very happy with this restaurant. Loved my birthday dinner.

    The Cubano Sammich!

The Cubano sammich was great but needed maybe a few more pickles and mayo. Something to wet it up a little more. Highlight was getting the Maduros! So freaking good. Never thought I would find some Cuban food in a small Utah town! Will be back if I am ever in the area again visiting Zion.

Everything was so delicious! The fact that they have vegan options was a plus. All items had flavor and prices were good as well. Place was super clean and neat. Server was super kind and helped us out trying to figure out the best way to get the Brice Canyon from there. All very friendly! It's a great little place to take a seat enjoy the food and rest for a few.

I have a thing for Cuban sandwiches so having the Cubano sandwich was a must for me. The dish comes with fries and I love how they were cooked. The meal was really filling. I love that the prices were affordable too!! Delicious time here! Staff was very friendly.

Totally solid food, little atmosphere. Probably best cubano sandwich I've had, and delicious seasoned French fries served with. Very good pork plate as well. Tres leches cake was great for dessert.

    Cuban restaurant in Kanab, Utah.

The place is super cute. We rode up to Kanab, Utah from Miami. Much to our surprise there was a Cuban restaurant here. The owner was very friendly and greeted us and told us of the specials. The specials were mostly what I would consider "local affair". We told him that we wanted the Cuban menu. He smiled and showed us the menu. We ordered a Cuban steak dish with "tostones". It came with white rice, black beans and maduros. We also ordered a Cuban steak sandwich with an appetizer of tostones with chicken. The food was rather authentic and very good. Service was friendly and prompt. We spoke with another guest who is from Switzerland and a frequent traveler to Cuba. She was also surprised and excited to find this place. I highly recommend this place if you want a taste of Cuban food and something different. The Spanish music was a nice touch.

Our server was attentive at first, but after receiving the charcuterie board and shifting into dinner, he didn't touch the table at all. We received our duck dish and were waiting for the other dish and side to come out, but luckily, my girlfriend insisted we eat. After finishing the duck dish and still waiting at least 30 minutes, I finally stopped our waiter to bring it up and ask for the check. All he said was it was coming, but we still just wanted the check. Not sure if the kitchen timing was off since it was a weekend and Valentine's Day, but very disappointed with the service. It should also be noted that when we sat down, two tables next to us were finishing up. We ordered our food before the new customers arrived at those two tables. Both of those tables received full service, including dessert, before we were even checked on. Even once we stopped the server to cancel the remainder of our order, there was no apology given.

The restaurant seemed clean. It was cute that they have like a little ghost town set up outside, they have a lot of seating inside and outside. The restrooms are outside...and heated! There is a door to go in to a gift shop in the same space as the entrance to the dining area. There was a group of us and our waitress was on top of it, had no problem splitting the checks and stayed organized so that she could easily do so! I'd love to give it 5 stars, but my brisket plate was just okay. Two small pieces, the mac and cheese was pretty simple, the toast was just not toasty...the slices of brisket I was given were good. And I did enjoy the sweet potato with cinnamon and brown sugar. My husband enjoyed his Frank Sinatra burger and fries. So we were not disappointed with Iron Horse at all, we just didn't walk away impressed either. Not much else in the area so with limited options they don't really need to go all out.

I enjoyed the smoked chicken, especially. The brisket was very tender. Service was kind and quick. No complaints. One odd thing is that me and another guest at the table both ordered an extra side of brisket to go along with our meals and they served it on the same platter. When it was about half gone and I had asked for my side, they said they put both portions on the same dish and that is just weird and made it awkward. However, they did bring me an extra little cup of brisket. Still odd that they would do that. The atmosphere was cool, but the live entertainment that night was singing very depressing songs which honestly just mismatched the vibe of the whole restaurant and ruined the mood. Happy I tried Iron Horse, but probably wouldn't come back between the odd service and the sad entertainment not matching with the expected vibe of the place. A lot of potential with this restaurant though.

When we got there, we realized it was a vegan place, which definitely surprised us. I'm not going to lie--we were a little disappointed at first. Our waitress immediately noticed the look on our faces and was incredibly nice about it, which convinced us to stay and give it a try. I'm a full-on carnivore and usually feel like pizza needs meat on it, but this vegan pizza completely changed my mind. We ordered the Hot Mess, the Margherita pizza, and a cheese pizza with garlic knots as an appetizer. Everything was sooo good. The flavors were amazing and the crust was perfect. The owner even came out to check on us, and I told him, "This pizza just converted me to becoming vegan!" Great food and amazing staff. I would highly recommend this place--even if you think you need meat on your pizza like I did.

And it was called "Mushroom Madness" so I thought it would have more than 7 mushrooms on it - LOL. We asked the server to take a second look if something was wrong with it because the whole thing was just dough and a couple of dollops of ricotta, a couple of sprinklings of cheese and maybe 8 mushrooms and she said, "I know... sorry" and chuckled. So we asked for a side of marinara to choke it down. The cocktails were overly sweet and nothing special. Very disappointing. I hate knocking a restaurant that is trying to do something good - like not serve animals up on a plate - but this was just a ridiculous exploitation of the customer to pay over $20 for a dry flat bread, basically.
