I tried Cabana pork plate. Pulled pork, Lettus, tomato, sweet onion, sweet plantain, plantain chip, black beans and white rice. Black beans and pork cooked perfectly. Filled me good!!

Cute place to stop in for lunch. Bright and colorful decor. Friendly service. We got the Cuban sandwich and the cuban rice plate with pork. Bathroom available. Paper towel for hand drying.

We came here for the cubano sandwich which has been well reviewed. It was probably in the bottom 50% of cubano sandwiches we have had. The flavor was meh and the sandwich overall was quite dry. The cheese wasn't melty. We had it with mustard. We also tried the steak sandwich. There wasn't much steak in it and it was also very dry. We prefer our meat tender and juicy. The French fries had a light breading on them. This seems to be a popular thing now, but I personally don't prefer it. The tostones were also quite dry. They came with a sauce which was much needed. The service was good. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to you. It's open seating. They kept my water and my husband's iced tea full. The inside was clean but there's no real ambience to speak of. The prices were reasonable.

I was craving Cuban food while visiting Kanab for my birthday. This place did not disappoint. Traveling with our dogs so we took the order to go. I called and the man on the phone was very nice. He verified the Kanab location and said it would take about 15 minutes. They also text you when it's ready. My boyfriend picked up the food and he said the place was cute and service was friendly. He also saw some outdoor seating. We got the pork plate and the steak plate. The steak in our opinion was the most flavorful. The pork was very tender but needed a bit more spicing. Rice and beans excellent. Small salad fresh and delicious with a nice kick. And fried plantains yummy. Very happy with this restaurant. Loved my birthday dinner.

Everything was so delicious! The fact that they have vegan options was a plus. All items had flavor and prices were good as well. Place was super clean and neat. Server was super kind and helped us out trying to figure out the best way to get the Brice Canyon from there. All very friendly! It's a great little place to take a seat enjoy the food and rest for a few.

    The Cubano Sammich!

The Cubano sammich was great but needed maybe a few more pickles and mayo. Something to wet it up a little more. Highlight was getting the Maduros! So freaking good. Never thought I would find some Cuban food in a small Utah town! Will be back if I am ever in the area again visiting Zion.

You remember those old Reese's Peanut Butter Cup commercials?…read more "Hey! You got your chocolate in my peanut butter!" "No, you got your peanut butter in my chocolate!" That's basically what happened here, except instead of chocolate and peanut butter, it was an art gallery and a gastropub. Somehow it works. The vibe here is funky in mostly the right ways. The decor has a yard sale chic aesthetic that's somehow carefully curated without looking like it tried too hard. The staff had just enough piercings and tattoos for me know they would love to talk to me about their record collections if I asked, and the whole place manages to feel both laid back and just upscale enough that you can justify ordering anything from a burger to what looked like a pretty respectable ribeye. I went with the Shroom, a portobello mushroom burger, and it was enjoyable. Tons of flavor, perfectly satisfying, and paired with one of the crispest side salads I've had in a while. Bonus points for the edamame. I will happily eat edamame in just about anything. Not with jello though. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals, although we collectively demonstrated the adventurous spirit of a group that mostly ordered the Pub burger. So I can't claim we've fully explored the menu yet. This just gives me an excuse to come back. Service was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The only moment that caught me a little off guard was when the owner stopped by to let us know he had baseball cards for sale in one part of the restaurant, along with an upstairs gallery featuring local artwork. I felt like he might next open his coat to show me some watches. He's just down for the hustle I guess. The art ranged from "that's pretty nice" to "someone really, really loves painting Utah's red rocks." Most of it was priced well beyond what I was looking to take home, but honestly, I have to respect that they're giving local artists a place to showcase their work. So maybe I'm just being a little grumpy. Get off my lawn. By the way I'd be happy to eat here again

Pistachio Chicken: The chicken breast was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a thin, crispy crust that was especially impressive. The sauce blended the mild aroma of Poblano chili, the creamy richness of butter, and the unique fragrance of herbs. Most precious was the pistachio aroma, both vibrant and subtle, without overpowering or masking the other flavors, creating a delicate balance. Even the saltiness was just right, subtle and delicate. The surface was garnished with pico de gallo, fresh, sweet, tangy, and spicy, balancing the potential heaviness of the sauce. The asparaguses were also very fresh, with a natural fragrance, but perhaps a little too mild with the sauce. Kanab Cowboy Ribs: The pork ribs were slow-cooked and roasted until they were so tender that they easily fell off the bone, offering no resistance when cutting into them. The homemade barbecue sauce coated it thickly, rich and sweet, with an authentic American barbecue flavor. It might be a bit too sweet for most Chinese palates, but I thought it was quite good. The agave mustard vinaigrette seemed more decorative; I nearly couldn't really taste it. Lemon Sorbet: Homemade sorbet, offering the most soulful finish. It was breathtakingly beautiful at first glance; the simple white porcelain plate and glass were limpid and elegant, perfectly matching the sorbet's style. Unlike typical sorbets that emphasize extreme acidity, this restaurant took a different approach, with a gentle, even subtle, acidity that brings out the natural, lively fragrance of lemon, like Lolita's touch through pale silk. The texture was also delicate and smooth, without any ice crystals. Everyone was captivated; some even ordered an extra to take away. The restaurant claims that ingredients come from its organic garden. This might be a pointless gimmick, but the cooking and presentation of the dishes conveyed a consistent level of refinement and care, making it all the more valuable.

The restaurant seemed clean. It was cute that they have like a little ghost town set up outside, they have a lot of seating inside and outside. The restrooms are outside...and heated! There was a group of us and our waitress was on top of it, had no problem splitting the checks and stayed organized so that she could easily do so! I'd love to give it 5 stars, but my brisket plate was just okay. Two small pieces, the mac and cheese was pretty simple, the toast was just not toasty...the slices of brisket I was given were good. And I did enjoy the sweet potato with cinnamon and brown sugar. My husband enjoyed his Frank Sinatra burger and fries. So we were not disappointed with Iron Horse at all, we just didn't walk away impressed either. Not much else in the area so with limited options they don't really need to go all out.

I enjoyed the smoked chicken, especially. The brisket was very tender. Service was kind and quick. No complaints. One odd thing is that me and another guest at the table both ordered an extra side of brisket to go along with our meals and they served it on the same platter. When it was about half gone and I had asked for my side, they said they put both portions on the same dish and that is just weird and made it awkward. However, they did bring me an extra little cup of brisket. Still odd that they would do that. The atmosphere was cool, but the live entertainment that night was singing very depressing songs which honestly just mismatched the vibe of the whole restaurant and ruined the mood. Happy I tried Iron Horse, but probably wouldn't come back between the odd service and the sad entertainment not matching with the expected vibe of the place. A lot of potential with this restaurant though.
