We had just finished hiking Angel's Landing and were starving, so we checked Yelp and saw this place--it looked super cool, so we decided to give it a try for dinner. The reviews and pictures make everything taste so good! I ordered the prickly pear drink (which was so good!) and went with the quarter chicken since the cashier mentioned it's one of their popular items. The food came out fast, and surprisingly there was no one inside. The chicken was under season and I wasn't happy that I spent $16 on it. Honestly don't think we will be back! I had high expectations because the place looks so fun!! read more

This is a long pending review. I didn't want to miss posting this as i enjoyed the food so much here. Best place near zion national park for nice food after a good hike. They are absolutely helpful to modify most of the options in their menu to make it vegetarian friendly apart from thier already available vegetarian options. We tried impossible burger from direct veggie option - Amazing yum came with fries Sub impossible patty for Crispy shrimp flatbread - it was yum too Mission salad - super good Mountain huckleberry - sooo good. Also thier fries are the best fries i have ever had so far. Overall awesome place with casual ambiance. And to add it is always crowded. ;) read more

The food here was great - fresh, well cooked, juicy, and just healthy enough to bring me joy. The staff was way above expectations for an "order at the counter" place, delightful really. read more

Camp Outpost - Salad, burger, beer, and amazing views - New American Near Me - Springdale, Utah

Ate dinner here after a day in Zion. I had the rotisserie chicken and my boyfriend had the chicken tacos. The person who took our order was not very friendly, did not accurately answer my question about the food, and did not put my special request to have the sauce on the side into my order. My boyfriend said the tacos were ok, however, didn't like the salsa. The chicken had too much salt and the chimichuri sauce had way too much garlic. The bathroom was dirty. The ambiance inside was stark and unimpressive. Would not recommend. read more

I had the camp burger and my wife had the club. Both were excellent. The restaurant was clean and the workers were helpful. We even had somebody wish us well on the way out the door. The Huckleberry lemonade was very good. The only complaint I have is that there is a 3% "fair wages" charge added to the bill. We were not informed of this, or I must have missed the sign. I believe in fair wages, I also believe in disclosure. Great food though! Highly recommend. read more

Savory Quality food Monday @5pm, no wait and plenty of seating available. People started to trickle in closer to 6pm. This place is a casual/modern dining spot with indoor and outdoor seating (outdoor seating is covered). Food ordered: 1.) half rotisserie chicken- comes with a delicious Yukon potato salad. In my opinion some parts of the chicken weren't as juicy as others. 2.) club sandwich- bacon is thick and chicken is delicious. Bread is on the crunchy side and may be a bit challenging to take a full bite (sandwich is also big). I also would have asked to add avocado. Overall food was tasty and of quality. I would recommend eating here. Other: -reasonably priced for the amount of food $$$ - plenty of parking- parking is situated on the right side of the building and is a dirt parking lot. - single bathroom (unisex)- nice inside - cash/ card taken - indoor and outdoor seating -order and pay up front - small bon fire area read more

This place was awesome! After a long few days traveling from New Mexico and Arizona, it was refreshing to enjoy an actually GOOD margarita!!! After a long day of hiking in the national park, we decided to take it easy for dinner. Camp Outpost was awesome. We ordered the pork and also the chicken tacos. Flavors were excellent and preparation was terrific. Even the canned wine was good. It was casual, quick and very tasty... Just what the doctor ordered. Well done. read more

The staff was nice and food was pretty good. I did notice it was a little dirty. Tables sticky and the place needed some cleaning. We are inside around dinner time. read more

After a day hiking in Zion, decided to try a new place out. To start off the ambiance was great , lighting was perfect , music was great. Their menu is very straightforward and employees are very friendly to answer any questions! Food wise I got the Outpost Club with Sweet potato Fries, overall the sandwich was really good! Bread was spongy and held together well, the ingredients tasted fresh. The only problem was the bacon, parts of it were really hard and not eatable, not sure whether it was a problem with its freshness or if it was cooked too long. With the sweet potatoes fries, the fries themselves were good . I ordered honey mustard on the side for an additional cost, which I thought were very mustard forward and I thought could have used more honey! Overall great experience and would come again if visiting Zion read more

I was famished from my hike at Zion and would have settled for anything . Luckily me for me, Camp Outpost was the nearest restaurant. Food is great. But the whole ordering a service situation straight up ruins this experience. You have to order and pre-pay on your phone. That's really awesome when you're a large family and you have to gather everyone's order to put in one device or I guess the kids could just pay for their own - maybe that's some upside?? This also means you're immediately jumping into a complicated process to get food going as soon as you sit down. Not relaxing and enjoying a meal with your family. Order a drink while you're reviewing the menu - Nope you have to go up to the counter to order those, so I gotta slide out of the booth 4 times to get everyone taken care of. Glad I went out to eat to spend $150 so I could spend the whole time dealing with other people's orders and getting drinks. I try to support these local places when we are traveling but this place tries hard to make it more complicated than it needs to be. If there were regular table service, this place would be great - but they don't and the complications ruin it. It amounts to a l quick service restaurant experience with better food. read more

Great quick and easy place to eat in Zion. After ordering at the counter, we quickly found a table. Our meals were brought to us and were all fresh and delicious. Reasonably priced for the meal we ate. Don't forget to treat yourself to a huckleberry lemonade or a fancy margarita for the adults! read more

I brought a group of 28 friends to Camp Outpost for dinner on a Friday evening in September to kick off a weekend celebrating my 60th birthday. I don't think they typically serve groups of this size, so to help with service, I worked out the menu choices (sausage, pork, or chicken) with my contact Taylor there well in advance. The entire Camp Outpost team did an amazing job getting us seated and served. The pitchers of beer and margaritas came out promptly and the food was delicious. Seriously above and beyond what I had imagined. Everyone had a great time, and with its proximity a short 2 minute walk from the Desert Pearl, Camp Outpost should be a mandatory dinner stop on any Zion visit. Highly recommend! read more

So you have to order all at once or make multiple orders. This electronic ordering is bullshit. Put your shoes on and wait tables. Prices are also too high. On top of it... the service is slow to non-existent. read more

Fantastic food for the area and for the price. The rotisserie chicken is the clear winner for me. For the most part the staff is super friendly. Came here for a meal after a long day in the park. It was exactly was we needed. Solid home style good food. You order at the counter and they give you a number. Then the food is delivered to your table. There is inside and outside seating. But sit outside if the weather for the nice views. I order the half rotisserie chicken plate. Solid roast chicken that came on a bed of roast potatoes. Ask for extra chimichurri sauce on the side. Can't have enough chimichurri. Our table shared fried pickles which were a little too salty but we loved them anyway. They were battered nicely and very crispy. We also shared brussel sprouts. They were decent enough. We all enjoyed our meals and I would recommend eating here and would come again. read more

In Zion / Springdale for only two days and we ate here TWICE! We stopped in for lunch for both days and we would happily go back again! Thus, 5 stars! Crazy parking in a dirt lot but at least they have parking. Large dining space both inside and out. Counter service which was quick and friendly. During our two lunches I had the gigantic Caesar salad with rotisserie chicken and the 1/2 rotisserie chicken with side salad. The 1/2 chicken was delicious. I came back to get that after tasting the flavor of the rotisserie chicken on the salad. The only thing I would change is the amount of dressing/cheese on the salad, it was too much. My husband had the outpost club and then the fried chicken. He loved them both. Everything here is large portions, fresh and hot and delicious! Waitstaff is friendly and helpful. If/when we are back in Zion, this is an EASY delicious lunch spot! read more

Margaritas are horrible! Not a Margarita at all, more like flat water with a little lime. Paid $28 for 2 tiny little things that were undrinkable. Services was terrible. No one to greet us, no one to answer questions. I get the QR thing but at least have someone stop by once in a while to make sure everything is ok. Super disappointed. read more

Super, super, über recommend the Camp Outpost! At the entrance of Zion National park, it was a great find! I had my birthday dinner here this year! I had a burger and it was delicious! It was juicy, but thoroughly cooked, their aioli was fantastic and the fries are thin, exactly the way I like them! The star of the night were the crispy Brussels Sprouts, though! Crispy and soft at the same time, full of flavor and texture. They have a selection of house wines and the rose was good. Service was fantastic! Everyone was lovely and proud of the food they were serving (as they should!). The view is the icing on the cake! Any table at Camp Outpost gives you a privileged view of the Zion mountains! Highly recommend Camp Outpost! read more

We had lunch at camp outpost after visiting Zion national park. Look through various places to eat and this sounded really good. The inside of the restaurant was clean and was very nice. The staff was friendly and the manager was great. Wow! I'm not sure you will find a better hamburger anywhere in Zion. We ate one other place and decided to come back here again! The buns are delicious, the burger is juicy, the fries are crisp, and the people are friendly. We had the Camp Burger, it was too big for me. The 2nd time we ordered the kids burger with cheese and bacon, lettuce, & tomato. It was still too big for me. If you have bird eaters in your family, they could easily split one. The outside patio is lovely on a sunny fall afternoon. I also saw a fire pit out there for the evening. They have alcohol and margaritas here too. I would highly recommend this place to eat! read more

Great food! Great service. We shared a crispy shrimp flatbread with sweet potato fries. Both were cooked to perfection!

Not gonna lie, I walked past this place twice because it was not as busy as the other places on this street. Boy was that a mistake. First the view is incredible. Next, they have several local beers on tap. I had an agave lager which was quite tasty. My wife had a sour blackberry which was really good. To eat we had the Cesar salad and 1/4 chicken. The Cesar salad was solid nothing spectacular. The flat breads that accompanied it were delicious and great for sopping up the bits of chicken. We got the dark meat on the chicken and it was perfect. Cooked to perfection and really tasty. The salad and potatoes that came with the chicken were incredible. So don't waste time and energy, go straight to Camp Outpost. read more

It wasn't too busy on a weekend when we had went. Their food was great but I wish they had bigger bowls for their salads. Their prices were a bit steep considering they don't give much food specifically protein. The drinks were okay and service was alright. However, we went the next night at around 7 pm but were told that they weren't accepting customers anymore even when they close at 8 pm. read more

This was our second time here, and it absolutely confirmed our first impression, this place is 100% quality food. We had the half chicken with Yukon potatoes and a sweet potato hummus. Although the chicken may be small for some, the flavor and preparation was phenomenal. Roasted to the verge of burned skin, the chicken was filled with flavor and juicy. The potatoes with radish and arugula was perfectly prepared. Crispy exterior with soft interior. It was a joy to eat. The sweet potato hummus was also delicious. Corey with a little kick to it, it was a perfect accompaniment with the chicken. The only thing I didn't like about it was the serving vessel. It was hard to get every last bit of hummus lol read more

Stopped here once in the morning to grab an iced coffee - which was superb. The staff was so genuinely friendly and happy to help which was a wonderful way to start the morning It's not a coffee place so we knew we had to go back to try out their food. We came back again for a late lunch after hiking and it was one of the best BLTs I've ever had. My family loved their meal as well. The staff is amazing and the food is just as great. Came here after the narrows. Burger was awesome and so was the fried chicken sandwich. Perfect after a long hike.

Camp Outpost is definitely the spot. There are a lot of delicious restaurants in Springdale to visit after a long hike, but Camp Outpost is our favorite. Cold beer, amazing food, kind and patient service and an amazing view are all reasons we look forward to coming in. The Rotisserie Chicken is perfect and the Brussel sprouts are crispy and delicious. I got the Rotisserie Chicken Club and I couldn't have been happier. I'm going to have a hard time choosing something new to eat next time we visit. read more
