I used Camelback Moving to move from an apartment to a condo a few months ago. My apartment was a third floor walkup, so there was no way I was doing that myself! I called probably about 3 weeks in advance and had no problem setting up the move for a Saturday. They called to remind me about the move the day before, and called right before they arrived, which was right on time. The movers were EXCELLENT. They made it look easy to carry all my stuff down those three flights of stairs. They were also friendly and totally professional. I was able to schedule Camelback Moving on short notice, on the weekend day & time that I needed. The two movers arrived on time and were ready to work. Both were very efficient, thorough and careful. While one guy was disassembling my CA king bed frame, the head board fell on him (luckily, it's padded!) and knicked my wall. He was very honest and apologetic. I told him not to worry since I was going to touch up all the paint anyways. Camelback Moving is fairly priced and would definitely recommend if you're looking for a moving company in Phoenix. Zac, Brenden and David T. worked extremely efficiently to carefully wrap and pack our things. They were professional and respectful of our home. Unfortunately they did mess up one of the door handles on our expensive crate and barrel Bar which is one of our most expensive pieces.. They were however very accommodating as to where to place furniture in the new home and put down matts and padded bumpers to avoid damage. One thing to be careful of is to be sure and fully understand how the payment works. They didn't seem to be fully transparent with us regarding the price when we spoke on the phone to what it actually was. If I could give more stars I would! I was impressed with Camelback Moving 4 years ago when they did my move from Chicago. And moving locally with them in January did not disappoint. They were so helpful with my schedule - accommodating a last minute schedule change as I didn't realize there was a marathon race the morning of my move and the roads would have been blocked. John & Darryl were great! They worked hard & efficiently and also took extra care to felt my furniture to protect the hardwood floors. They finished earlier than we expected and Eddie packed our trailer so well that he saved us 6 linear feet of trailer space! Never used movers before, but my bf was not relishing moving out of his place in near triple digit heat... plus we were trying to beat the end of month rental clock. So we had friends and family help us w/ the small boxes and furniture the weekend before, leaving the big daddies for the movers (and as it turned out, there was plenty of leftover space in the truck, so then anything after that even down to small potted plants). Moving is never fun and honestly we were dreading the experience. The guys who showed up to pack us one day and move us the next were friendly, courteous, professional and extremely efficient. Boxes were carefully packed and well marked. My husband oversaw the packing while I was present to meet the truck when it arrived the next day. Five men: Zac, David, Sean, Solomon and Gabriel,were present to unpack the truck and again made the experience as pleasant as possible. Boxes were well marked and placed in the correct rooms. Beds were quickly assembled and they were accommodating when I changed my mind about where I wanted some heavier items set up. Referred by concierge of the First Arizona Title Agent, I called Camelback Moving Company for a quote. The owner of the company, Chad, replied. We set up an appointment for the walk thru estimate. Larry came and gave a very professional estimate on almost every item in my house. In a spreadsheet, it showed the volume and total weight required on the move. That made the job much clear and precise. On the moving day, came two 26' trucks and four crews. They handled the move very efficiently. I'm really amazed they organized the space in the trucks so well that all my household items fit in. At the end of unloading, the foreman asked me to check the trucks if all goods were out. I said yes. A week later I found a step ladder was left out. They offered to bring it back to me which is a nice thing but I decided to pick it up myself. The experience with Camelback Moving Company was very good especially with Chad and Larry. They are always available and willing to answer my questions. I used Camelback Moving for a move scheduled in mid March - I chose them after calling several different companies which were more expensive and less professional. I chose an hourly rate with 2 men and 1 truck (at the recommendation of the company) - I was hesitant to do this because I was concerned that the company would have less incentive to work quickly. On the day of the move, my movers - Adam and Marc - called 30 minutes before their arrival, arrived ON TIME and immediately went to work. They worked quickly and efficiently. I have a HUGE bed with posts and a headboard/footboard. They took it apart in 45 minutes (this is a minor miracle being that it took much longer for the actual designer of the bed to put it together) and then put it back together in record speed. Everything arrived at my new house in perfect condition, they placed everything where I wanted it and were so nice about it!! Camelback Moving is a 5 star company! With all of the horror stories out there, I had every right to be scared of what tricks a moving company would pull, last minute, in order to make me give them more money. Well, I'm happy to report that Camelback Moving was the most transparent move I've ever done. Their process was clear, the pricing was fare and completely inclusive and their people were awesome. We had 3 guys and one truck and then when it became obvious that we were going to need more help, I made a phone call to Camelback and we had another truck and more people with no hassle, haggle or arguing. It was just done, they made it right. The guys we had were all super up-beat, worked as a team and were very careful with our stuff. Camelback came in, did a free in home (and storage unit) estimate, got back to us with a competitive price and very upfront "fine print". We were impressed with their professionalism and timeliness. They picked up everything on Friday and had our stuff to our new place by Sunday morning (over 700 miles away). The only cons were very minimal. The references for interstate moves were old phone numbers, and it took longer than I was expecting to get our estimate back... but it was tax season, so I understand. When they called me, I was given all the information and they answered all of my questions. They called me ahead of they the day before and the morning of the move. Brian, Kevin and Juan did a fabulous job of getting my things wrapped and on the truck in a most efficient manner. I gave them a one because I had to give something. I was moved by them recently, and right after had to have surgery so I did not get things unpacked quickly. Now that I was able to get things done I have found that I am missing some small items. Game controllers, one of which cost 64.00, that belong to my grandchildren are gone. Also, they left four carloads of items at my old house that they forgot to tell me about. I of course had to go to lock up, found the items and had to move them myself. They took apart lamps and threw the pieces of the lamps and the bulbs in a basket of dog toys that was on the floor! I would NEVER use this company again! I am 68 and I was not anticipating paying them and then having to move four carloads myself. Could be the reason I had to have surgery during this time of Covid19. Thanks for nothing! read more

Camelback moving was able to accommodate our needs to unload our furniture and household goods on short notice. Everything could have been a headache if we had to wait till the next morning to unload the moving pod. The 2 crew members were very nice and efficient with their work. The people at Camelback's office were very nice and helpful. The only thing we thought that was not right is the charging of $50 for use of a ramp for the first 1/2 hours, before our trucking service could deliver a ramp for the 28 foot pod. After all, the crew came with the similar size truck and it doesn't make sense to pay additional fee for the use of a ramp to load or unload from the truck. One would think that moving equipment lIke dolly, ladder, ramp, ropes, should be included in the hourly charge for loading or unloading. Review update 1/9/20 I was surprised that Chad read the review and voided the charge for the ramp. What a nice gesture of goodwill, which shows that it is a good company to do business with. Just moved two weeks ago on the hottest day of the tear so far (110!) and was grateful to have such an awesome team of 3 guys helping us move. Huge props to Rene, Alfonso, and Terrance for being hardworking, efficient, courteous and fun guys. We were really stressed about moving on such a tight schedule but these guys took the edge off and made us feel like we were in good hands. They were timely and quick, but treated all of our furniture with care. And they all had excellent communication- being sure to ask us where we wanted things or how we preferred things to be moved- which ensured that our stuff arrived safely and placed where we wanted it. Plus they worked hard in hot weather and were still smiling and joking at the end of the move! He called the next day to ask if I had additional questions- which he answered. Finally- the day before the big move I received a call confirming all the details.
