The best moving company in all of Phoenix! When I called originally, Dan provided excellent customer service by answering all of my questions in regards to needing movers to load a POD that I rented. He gave me a precise quote, which was spot on, but more importantly, he knew I was on budget and gave me the cheapest price he could give me. It was much appreciated. My movers, Sean and Moses, were the absolute best -- funny, kind, and efficient. I was again provided excellent customer service and couldn't have asked for a better two-man crew. I was a nervous wreck since PODs made it very stressful for me, but Sean and Moses made me feel very comfortable and at ease with packing everything for me. Sean also explained to me what he was doing and/or what the plan was, and I thought that was very kind. Moses assured me that everything would be okay and made me feel not so anxious. They wrapped all of my belongings and were very careful with all of my furniture. I was most impressed by their efficiency and their ability to pack my 1 bedroom into a 7x8 foot container with room to spare! These guys are AMAZING! They were right on time, 8:00AM on the dot. Morales led a crew of 2 guys who were very respectful and hard working, they literally didn't stop! Last movers I had took about 7 hours for the same amount of work, these guys took 2.5 hours and that included driving 30 minutes to unload in a storage unit AND go drop a few pieces at my new house. I felt like I got such a great deal as they charge per hour and they were so fast I actually saved money! I even asked them to move some large appliances I forgot to mention on the initial estimate and instead of being annoyed or having anything to say about the extra they happily did the extra work with no hesitation. I hired Camelback moving for a move at the beginning of November 2020. They unloaded my rented Penske truck (from a 2-bedroom Oakland place) into a house in Phoenix. The guys that showed up -- Kevin, Marcose, and Damon -- were pleasant to work with. They were quick, clean, and respectful. They put down liner at the front of the house to avoid tracking in any debris from outside, and asked about furniture and boxes before moving it inside. They handled the largest furniture with ease, including my pinball machine, with no damages noted. Thanks to the crew and Camelback Moving, the unloading process was relatively stress-free. This was our first move within the city as all other moves have been cross country. First of all we lived in a very complicated apartment building and the movers know it's actually what to do. They recommended how many people to send and how long it was going to take. Of course as with all this, this move took a lot longer than expected, but we predicted that that would happen. Staff that came was very helpful. Unfortunately because it was taking longer they called additional staff to come help us move in. We had all of our items, nothing was broken, or missing. They were very professional, continue to work hard, and took breaks throughout the day due to the heat but otherwise continue to work hard. Weird story with these people in 2023: They broke all my cups. Whatever. I heard it all break, I watched the box pop off the stair and watched that hole box rattle with broken glass. I just rolled my eyes at it when it happened, like, Oh well. This is my punishment for moving in the summer in Arizona. I was unpacking all my stuff later, and in that box with all my broken cups--also plates, bowls, but the majority of it were cups, me dreading the view of seeing all these things I'd collected and bought over the years just in pieces, me wondering what I could at least salvage--I saw only periodic bubble wrap and newspapers. Only a few broken cups, a few broken plates. What I mean is, they SCOOPED OUT ALL THE BROKEN STUFF TO COVER THEIR TRACKS AND DENIED IT. These were antique cups, expensive mugs, cups passed down through my family. Ceramic, glass, etc. 500 to 700 dollar range. I called them, explained what the issue is. Conversation was like: THEM -- Wait wait wait, so you're saying, in this world you're describing, we moved your things, and you watched them get broken, and someone opened up the box of the broken things, and pulled them all out, one broken cup at a time, only to leave that box and the wrapping paper behind? ME -- Yes. THEM --You can see how disbelieving I am. ME -- You see, at the bottom of the box, beneath a lot of that, were also my broken plates that they forgot to scoop out. So why are those broken plates there, but little else? THEM -- This doesn't sound logical at all. ME -- Then where in god's name are all my cups, broken or not? If they were not broken, they would at least be here. If they are not here, then they have been stolen by your company. I was not monitoring your workers the whole time. I presume they did this while they were in the truck. THEM -- That's pretty ridiculous to think about. ME -- Where are the cups, then? Hm? Etc. Took two weeks. First they offered me $100. That is it. The dismissive phone guy said, "IT TOOK A REALLY REALLY LONG TIME TO GET MY BOSS TO OFFER THIS MUCH, FOR REAL. HE WANTED TO GIVE YOU $50, BUT EVEN THAT WAS SUPER HARD." Like I should be groveling in thankfulness. My god. I explained, again, for the tenth time, that these cups--which I could give them receipts for--were collected over ten years and cost me $500-$700. A week later, his second offer: $300. Whatever. I took it. What a horrid place. I'm pretty miffed about this whole situation. I had very very few bowls and plates and cups for a very long time after using these people, and everytime I reach for my favorite cup that no longer exists, I remember how utterly enraged these people have made me. They moved the stuff quickly and efficiently, yeah yeah yeah, but nothing will get me to recommend these people to anyone again. You're an expensive company already--doesn't really make much monetary sense to also add in the risk of getting your stuff stolen, broken or not, and for this complaint to be handled so dismissively. I am still offended you offered me $100. Also: Would love to point out that, right before I signed the contract before they left, I said, "Did my weights get moved into the truck? I saw it inside the back." Mover was kind of dumbfounded about the comment because, hey, maybe that was another thing easy to take? read more

In the past, we used two moving companies. Both experiences resulted in minor damage. With Camelback Moving, they followed up with a customer review call, which I told them about the TV stand. No compensation or discount was given for the damage from moving the stand to the truck. As for the other company, it was a cosmetic damage. So why did pick with Camelback Moving? Frequent communication with Gabe on what we need, where and when made it seems like it's the right choice. Not the case. They arrived at 7:45 and we were still trying to pick up the truck so the clock started for them. With no furniture, we just needed help packing artwork, 2 TV's and 3 subwoofers, 12 speakers and loading these loose items, 2 mattresses, 2 box springs and 40 boxes (in storage facility) into the truck. This was communicated to Gabe as well as our need for 2 TV boxes. We did a walk through with the movers, relayed the same message that we told Gabe and found out they weren't informed to bring 2 TV boxes. By 10am, we were still at the condo. They forgot about the storage facility because they shrink wrapped 3 metro shelves with no boxes and then asked if there were more boxes. When we got to the storage facility, they saw the loose items and realized they had to unpack the truck to get to the blankets they packed in the truck's attic. By 1pm, they completed the work. This should not have been a "5.75" hours job. We wanted be done by noon because we had other things deal with. I received a follow up call, stated my frustration and bet nothing will happen just like our first experience. I'm giving three stars because nothing was damage during the out-of-state drive. read more

I've moved quite a few times in the past few years and have had some pm subpar experiences with various movers. Camelback moving was a totally different experience. Zac was my foreman and driver for the move. He displayed a professionalism and confidence that put me at ease immediately. He actively supervised his team to ensure that things were done correctly. I was shocked at the horrible job of our recent move . Over $4000 and damage everywhere. . We have Drexel furniture LEXINGTON FURNITURE FURNITURE IMPORTED FROM ITALY, Tommy Bahama furniture and the like. 2 custom made couches very expensive treated like garbage had to screw the legs back on when they removed the legs off they jammed them on the wrong couch. The back pillows are still buried in the boxes that are strewn all over the garage in no sain order whatsoever ever. It will talk many months to find things and find out things might be missing.. The boxes are smashed up and dropped with some leaking. The expensive furniture I had to start replacing a Many many slides that we found all over the floor from not being careful and dropping the hard on the floor. I had to clean out cat litter someone placed in our $7000 dollar Drexel wall unit which was jammed in the track and filthy in the center of the 3 pieces with the back nails and backing coming off. We also found an old wooden tool chest in the unit that was a good 75 pounds or more that loosened up some hinges. . The back support triangle was laying on the floor being totally knocked out. The Rubbermaid containers that were 100% and contained $1000 bedding looked like they sweet in a nuclear explosion . They weren't placed all together either against the wall as my wife requested. My wife at 66 years old had to do the work correctly that they didn't do. It was one disgusting thing after the other putting things together and cleaning out their disasters I'd be ashamed if I did this to other people property. I would have compensated if it was my company without the customer asking.. I ad to with being disabled with many problems fix the kink bed that had a support that wasn't supported a top cabinet unsecured to the base. Blemishes on furniture all over the place. Shelves glass and wood had to be collected. We had one box in good condition taped and sealed and empty? Wow. My wife is still looking for her mother's $800 croscill bedspread which no one had any idea where it disappeared to. She happens to be 95 and it was given to her as a past Christmas present.. Who knows what else won't show up . We had to throw out many contents from the destroyed boxes straight into the dumpster . Heartbreaking carelessness causing distraction. Today I had to alight the super heavy Drexel top armoire to the base and secure it. It was crooked. Besides breaking and causing damage and us paying a high price for this damage. All 3 of us are ending up in pain an broken because of one problem after another we are in middle 60's and in agony. Wouldn't use them again if they were free. How dare anyone treat anyone's belonging in such a careless and haphazard way. Shame on everyone who left us in this state. Imagine a couch leg left loose and broken on the wrong couch and stopped on the other custom couch. We can't imagine but it happened.. our couch's are leather hooked together . Fixed the ones left unhooked we did. We actually paid thousands for this disaster. Whomever reads this. It's all 100% Gods Truth. Downstairs it sounded like the ceiling would collapse as items smashed to the floor or hand truck dropped pieces hard instead of softly. Yes the whole company didn't do the right thing. None of this was an accident. Not by any means. The more we cleaned up and the more we are still finding. We could have damaged it all for free by ourselves. We paid thousands to them to do this.??????. It was what it was. Horrible and heartbreaking we left out the PATIO FURNITURE STORY. That's expensive also scratches anybody???. Good Luck to the next customer. If you have expensive everything like us. They don't care what it cost. They will wreck it and charge you thousands to do it. Shame on them all. The truth of God will always be just that 100% truth. . As the weeks go buy every new box opened brings more damage. Our patio furniture that was cleaned after being stacked to the roof of the truck shows scratches everywhere. Thank God we don't ever have to use them again. Wouldn't use them if I was given a free move. That pretty well sums up the truth. Irresponsible and confused missing professional anywhere in the equation. Camelback Moving is an amazing company. I already referred them to my friends and family getting ready for a move. I had a 4 man crew, 1 of them was alright he was a little careless with my belongings and my new residence (scratching the hardwoods, banging walls, setting my boxes down a little rough etc.) which is a annoying but I won't be too mad about because it just comes with moving and I knew they were getting tired. But the other three guys were very good. I will say though if you guys are going to hire Camelback Moving you absolutely need to request for Gilbert F and Kyler. Gilbert was the main POC for moving day and assured me everything was satisfactory, he was very professional, thorough, and he ran a very efficient team. Kyler, was the man. He did not get tired or if he did he did not show it. He was running to and from the truck if I asked him for anything or if he forgot something. He was definitely there to work and do his very best. He was working at 100 MPH and did it with a smile on his face. He is a prime example of who you want/need helping with your move. This is the first time ever having a moving company and I loved it and I would will definitely be using them again if I ever need to move in the future. read more

Overall, they did a great job and were on time. My only complaint was they started at 8:10ish AM and ended at 10:45AM yet the form was pre filled for 8AM to 11AM, thus charging me 30 minutes more (almost $100). A lot of the time gap was after they completed moving my belongings and were in the truck basically BSing until 11. If they corrected this issue, they would easily be a great moving company. However, because of this, I can't recommend it due to some people might really need that extra $100ish. read more

This review has been a long time coming! This is my 2nd time using Camelback Moving & Storage who I had found on Yelp years ago and naturally came back given my first great experience! Cliff notes: Didnt think their customer service could get any better and today they truly topped the charts! Details: Called them because I'm moving back home and needed a place to store my stuff and then have it moved within the next 3-6 months. Everyone has been especially helpful: Steve, Lisa and their operations manager that I didnt catch his name (bummer!). Steve because he offered alternative recommendations when they were just a bit much for my original plan for a long distance move - thats true customer service! Lisa because she remembered me when I called back multiple times to confirm my reservation and change it to work with schedules etc. What really stood out though, is the operations manager. Called him because I'm trying to stay under a specific mileage and asked if I could park the moving truck nearby or in front of their biz and he was so accommodating to even say if I could get it there today they would unpack it!! (Wish I had the time, but it's the thought that counts!!) Either way, there are a few more details that I'll spare you with from reading a really long review, but I've just LOVED the customer service. The moving and storage is priced competitively (I'd actually say the storage is cheaper than 98% of places) and give the service, I feel it's the best place in AZ to have your moving needs met. I used Camelback moving Inc. for the third time in 5 years and they are outstanding! My hats off to my movers Gilbert, Shanabi and Nyreil (forgive me guys if i misspelled your names) as they were right on time, planned everything perfectly from start to finish and followed my instructions very carefully. They wrapped and loaded all my furnishings in a quick and timely manner and when i arrived at my brand new home the unloaded everything and placed it exactly where i designated it to go inside my new home without even a scratch on any of my new home walls, doors or flooring! They also unloaded everything once again in a timely fashion and did this all without even breaking a dish, glass or a scratch on any of my furniture! Outstanding job guys and Camelback Moving as once again you exceeded my expectations and you even did it after i altered my original moving instructions prior to my scheduled move which tells me your home office carries out and communicates instructions superbly!
