Wish I was lying when I said I traveled all the way from San Diego, CA just to get my favorite taco of all the time... the 'squawk on the street'! Love love love this place! I felt like a tourist buying the mugs in both the blue and orange logo but it was worth it. Lol Holland took our order and served us. She was such a doll. Knew all her stuff about the menu, which is so helpful when it's your first time. She even made my matcha latte. Went by this place because they had some good reviews! Starting off by saying the staff was super nice. I have a bell pepper allergy plus I am just starting to eat meat again and so there were things I couldn't have. They were like, we can put it on the side or substitute! They were so nice about it. I had a bean taco and it was simple, but good. I also had a chicken taco, which they added less chicken to for me. It was decent. I had a latte that was also decent. I ordered to go a "brekkie taco" called Scrambled Eggs on yor Face which has eggs, bacon, potatoes(hash), queso and I added on a dollop of guacamole it comes on a 6in house-made flour tortilla but they do offer gluten free option on request. They were just about to close so I ordered them to go. The food was ready quickly and even though I live 5 minutes away by the time I got home the food was barely warm and very soggy. The tacos did not look very good but were actually pretty tasty. The green sauce in the side was good. I found the tacos to be soggy with a mushy texture. Finished each taco in about 4 bites and I wished there was a bit more filling. $11 for two tacos that ate more like a snack than lunch.
