I was in my first accident and didn't know any of the process. My Mercedes got sideswiped and I chose to use Caliber Collision. Alberto was so kind as he viewed my car and gave me a rundown of what would need to be replaced. His communication was often and forthcoming. Originally it was going to take more than two months to get my car back to me. I was not thrilled with that as I wanted it during the holidays. But low, and behold, my car was finished a month ahead of schedule! They were even so kind as to have my car towed to me and pick up the rental too so that I wouldn't be inconvenienced anymore. Hopefully you won't get in an accident or get rear ended in my case, but if you do and need a reliable car repair shop with great service (shout out to Kieren), this is the place. I had a minor dent in my rear bumper but of course the entire bumper had to be replaced. Kieren, my service manager, proactively ordered the correct parts (even though the initial estimate from the insurance repair shop was incorrect). Even in the midst of all the supply chain delays and Covid staff impacts, my car was ready early. My wife's car needed a "ding" repaired and we just wanted an estimate. Karen looked at it and said "That's not too bad. We can do it now. It'll take an hour". Half an hour later the car looked perfect. Not only did they fix the ding but they cleaned up another issue with no charge. The total cost was half of that from another shop and 20% less than a second shop. Everyone we talked with was cordial and helpful. Their focus on the "customer experience" is top notch. I think they think they tried and I truly believe they did as good as they are capable of... ...but...I've had a few accidents over the years and this is not my first repair. Caliber in Miramar has repaired a bunch of stuff for me (they are awesome but don't repair European cars). My story from the beginning: My wife's BMW X1 ran over a large piece of road debris. Damage to the front, bottom, and drivers side of the car. I called the insurance, and dropped it off at the Miramar location. Since it was a BMW they sent it to their European repair place in Escondido. After a couple weeks I came to pick up our car and was ***SHOCKED*** when most of the damage was still there!!! Without talking to me the Escondido place flagged most of the damage as preexisting on a pretty new (2017) BMW!!! Sent it back and there were still issues. They didn't wipe off any of the dirt on the some areas of the car with visible marks in the dirt. The people at Miramar did wipe off those areas exposing more missed issues, and also found that the tires were damaged in the accident too. The people at Miramar were able to buff out a lot of the issues. I don't know why Caliber European doesn't clean the cars they are repairing or why they don't know about how awesome buffing stuff is. After a couple weeks I brought the car to Escondido (at a great inconvenience to me). After a week I was told it was done. When someone from Caliber called me I asked about the repairs to various areas and got a lot of "refresh my memory". I don't believe those areas were ever looked at until I was driving over. A lot of the marks I complained about are still on the car. I have literately never had this experience ever with a repair place. Their response was something to the effect of it's only cosmetic (which I think most accident damage falls into the category of cosmetic). So if you are looking to have your European repaired and want it in pre-accident shape then avoid this place. If you are OK with them telling you which damage you should live with then you might be OK with this place read more

This review is long over due. I will absolutely never recommend Caliber Collision to anyone. The photo attached speaks for itself.. my entire hood was painted fresh but check out the swirl marks left on the hood and fenders by these guys. Whoever they have behind the polisher is inexperienced. They had me bring my car back in for a repolish which ended up looking the same in direct sunlight. Still till this day my car looks terrible and this occurred about a year ago. Also, I had my front windshield replaced... even after bringing the car back for cleaning, I had large suction circles left on the glass. Took me hours and multiple cleaning on my own to get rid of them and the disgusting haze from whatever they had cleaned the windshield with. read more

Brought my 2012 Porsche for a front bumper repaint for rock chips and met Tyler Cox service advisor. Amazingly attentive, professional and took great care of my vehicle. It turned out as expected. Even better. The staff was all amazing and helpful compared to Ken at the Caliber Collision in Murrieta, ,Ca. Rude and unresponsive in Murrieta. This is not how Murrieta always was in the past. However, Caliber Escondito and specifically Tyler, Karen and the front desk reception were all equally helpful generous, kind, fair and a value added experience. When Tyler priced the task requested he spoke with expertise unlike others, no detail was missed. I'd love to have this same Caliber employee working for my company. Be careful Caliber, I might very well try to steal him from you. He's really that good. I took some emblems after the car bumper had been painted and he fully embraced and will have spoken to his painters about timing, type of paint and time frames are not overlooked by Tyler. They have a sweet latté machine in the lobby and the staff doesn't ever drop the BS line of not being able to take you in or around the shop area "because of insurance". Love this type of transparency and detail to service for a fair price. I highly recommend this location and business if you're seeking an epic auto repair. Thanks again to all your staff. After utilizing this company for several, several years. I'm no longer a client/customer of theirs, mainly due a theft that occurred within my vehicle at the 655 Venture St, Escondido, CA 92029 location. To my knowledge, there are several managers that go by the name Jeff with this "establishment". Lastly, the amount of military related email spam they direct out is criminal. Almost, unmanageable. I arrived at the Oceanside location after decided to relocate/move to a different city & was informed by staff that there were no leaders/managers on site. I returned within a few days and was quickly greeted by police. Civil action to follow. read more

Kenny, my service advisor, was the best! Throughout the whole process of my car getting rear ended, going through insurance etc., Caliber was the only positive experience. Kenny was so great at constantly keeping me updated on the progress, calling every week and going over in detail where they were at in the repairs and what all was being done. Took my BMW to Caliber Collision European Auto Shop after an accident. This was big mistake and a terrible experience. I truly question their knowledge and training. I wasn't satisfied with their diagnosis and took it to my dealer who was spot on. The supervisor never did call me back. She had her service advisor relay messages. They are possibly okay with body work but not up to par when things are little more involved. The managers unresponsiveness was my biggest clue that there is a systemic issue with the business. Service Advisor Evan Murray was knowledgeable and accommodating. To make our experience easier, were able to leave our vehicle there and it was transported by flatbed tow truck to their European repair facility. Our Service Advisor, Lance Leonard, was with us every step along the way and kept us fully informed on the progress of our restoration. I had my 2018 BMW repaired at Caliber several months ago and neglected to recognize Miguel for his superior service and efforts in making my car new again. However I did not forget how good he and Caliber are......I just purchased an older BMW M3 and had a small object fall onto it leaving some scuff marks on a black surface. I tried to fix this myself with a small amount of rubbing compound but was not able to remove the marks. I thought about Miguel and Caliber and decided to stop by for advice. He looked at it, brought some supplies back and less than 5 minutes later the section looked like new! I cannot express my gratitude enough except I am now a lifetime customer. Even after one of my repairs there was an issue with the headlight, which they spent plenty of time diagnosing and fixing for me. Cal European in Escondido I have to say being new to the San Diego area I'm very skeptical about bodyshop facilities being a car collector and very meticulous. That being said I took my MB sl55 for road debris damage .. this is basically a stored vehicle and I would say 99% perfect condition for its year . anyway after a few discussions during the repair and after the car came out great . Never know she was damaged .. in fact a couple things I did not notice was taken care of at the same time . My insurance company sent me here with my Japanese car to be repaired. Matt was my service advisor. My experience with Matt specifically got Caliber this 5 star rating. Matt looked over my car and explained that he would have to ship my car to El Cajon where techs who specialize in Japanese cars would work on it. Annoying, yes... But it turns out it probably didn't even delay getting my car back to me timely. They called for the rental company to pick me up and when they said it would be in 10 min, Caliber offered to drive me to the rental place if I didn't want to wait 10 min, which I felt was pure class. Matt was no longer going to be my service advisor once my car left their location, but he graciously told me to give him a call if I experience any problems. When my car arrived in El Cajon, I received a call from somebody there, who explained that my car would be disassembled in a few days. This was not acceptable to me and after expressing that, I immediately contacted Matt, while feeling really bad that it wasn't really his issue anymore. Matt called the manager at El Cajon and apparently it was just some miscommunication. The manager even gave Matt his cell number to give to me if I had any more problems. The problems stopped there!! From that moment forward they got back to me when they said they would, they kept me informed the whole time, and even got my car back to me in less than 1 week! When I got my car back it looked beautiful! I don't think my car has looked this great in years! They even did a really great job cleaning it for me! (It was embarrassingly dirty when I left it).
