had a great experience with Fix It Auto! I dropped off my truck to Alex, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Then I met with Joshua, and we went over all the damage together--he was thorough and easy to work with. They had my truck back to me in under a week, and the results were amazing. It honestly looks like there was never any damage at all. They went above and beyond my expectations and made the whole process so easy. As a bonus, they even washed it--when I picked it up, it looked like it just came off the showroom floor. It was shining and looked absolutely fantastic. Thank you, Fix It Auto, for the excellent service! read more

Wanted to update another 5 star review since I have had to come back here for other car accidents my family or I have been in, and Fix Auto in Escondido is always amazing! I will keep coming back because they are very honest. 100% it is about the honesty! They are also very professional and timely about everything, and if you ever need your car fixed up, they do it right and have it looking brand new! No one ever wants to be in an accident, but if you ever are, this is the place to come to get your vehicle fixed. read more

These guys are great! Was my first accident and they helped me through the whole thing. Gloria in the office was so welcoming, friendly, and was happy to answer any questions I had. . Josh the service writer was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They made sure to keep me updated the whole way and my car looks so amazing! They even detailed the inside. Easy and stress free. Definitely recommend read more

Took my car in Monday morning to get the front bumper painted "which was a zero charge repair due to the paint pealing from their original repair a year or so ago" Picked it up the next day bumper looked "okay," but my hood was covered in massive scratches and the hood release was broken. When I confronted Enrique, the so-called manager, he was rude, unhelpful, and tried to tell me they "never touched the hood." Seriously? You have to open the hood to remove the bumper nice try. They damaged my car, lied about it, and gave me attitude. Absolute joke of a shop. Avoid this place at all costs. Would give 0 stars if possible! A couple weeks ago I was in a minor accident. The passenger side of my bumper got scraped, I took my car, a 2021 Nissan Rogue to fix auto to be repaired. They fixed the bumper and painted it. They finished it in less than a week. It looks like new. They have updates every day. Really impressed with Fix Auto. read more

Came to get my car fixed up after a light hit on the side of my bumper. Fix auto set up an appointment to check it out and took it in working two weeks. Left my car with them for only 1 week and came back happy to see the results! Everybody was so kind and informative of everything going on with my vehicle! Felt so safe leaving my car in their hands and when I got it back they even left it looks shiny and good on the inside too! Would highly recommend if you are needing any work done to bring it to fix auto! Grateful they were able to work on my car even though it has an aftermarket front splitter on it! read more

Was on my way home on Monday the 24th of December when a board flew off of a pickup in front of me on the freeway....after a couple cars went over it...it flew up and I smashed into it..broke into pieces and knocked out my drivers side mirror and scratched up the car hood, side, front and mirror arm. Stopped in to Henson's early Tuesday and They were able to take care of me very quickly. I have to give a special thanks to Mr. Paul Brandt who really took great care of me. I was sad to hear that Lauren had left the company as she has been a great help to me in the past...Thank you Paul for all of your help. I have been rear ended two times....another occasion someone scratched the side of my car and someone also backed into it at the dog park.....I've bought the car four years ago next Friday......Henson's is the reason it still looks brand new. I really appreciate them. Thanks again and if and when something else happens I'm glad to know your close by. These guys do fantastic work! I highly recommend them to everyone. read more

I really would like to thank Fix Auto for the amazing customer service and fast turn around time with getting my car fixed. I had initially gone there to get my estimate done with Geico and was going to find another place to get the work done, but I'm glad I didn't. Curtis was really easy to communicate with and contacted me when necessary. I was given an estimated time of two weeks to get my car fixed, but they were able to get it done in a week. I really appreciate the time and service they had put in to my car. A huge shout out to Curtis and the rest of the team for getting the work done. I will definitely be bringing my car back to them if I need any work done. Also, I would like to thank them for cleaning my car out for me. I was really happy to see my car so clean and shiny. AND thank you for accommodating my request on switching out my Hawaii license plates to the California plates. **before and after photos attached** read more

I am in the midst of restoring my 1986 JEEP CJ7 and brought in my dash panel to be painted. This is by far the best painting I've ever seen on anything, it is so smooth and shiny I can almost use it as a mirror to shave. I'm looking forward to bringing in the JEEP so they can finish the job. Also the facility is the cleanest I've ever seen and the people are so friendly and so helpful I highly recommend them if you want quality work done read more

do not take your car here unless you want your stuff to get stolen and rummage through!!!!!!!! stolen items: two of my less expensive sunglasses, foldable knife, and a used half bottle of visine eye drops. also, i didn't appreciate they looked through my center console and cd case either!! all that needed to be fixed was my rear bumper. why did they have to rummage through my car and leave it in such a state?!?!? when my car was returned back to me it had been ran sacked. i dropped off my car about a week ago. read more

Why should a customer have to return their car to a service organization to have the work completed properly after already being called about their repairs being done? When I picked up my truck and upon the walk around with the service advisor, I immediately noticed the paint had an 'orange peel' appearance and they said they would take care of it . . . in 30 days after the paint cures completely. OK fine; but upon a further visual inspection found an adjacent panel to have been scuffed by the sander used while prepping the actual paint area. Then when fueling up, I noticed the prep-sanding had extended into the fueling door area, but not re-buffed out. I took the vehicle back immediately and showed the advisor and the manager as well. They agreed to fix that as well. But why should a customer have to return their car to a service organization to have the work completed properly after already being called about their repairs being done? Yes, this was an insurance claim and they have been made aware of my displeasure, but I had already surrendered my rental that day and now must make arrangements in the future for this additional work to be performed. At least the body repairs looked straight, hence the second star. Not sure if this is a regular occurrence for Henson's Fix, but why should I find it out myself? It appears they are thinking the 'everyday' customer would not notice this less-than-premium paint and finish. Please hold your mechanics accountable for substandard work. Read my other reviews. I took a company car in for repairs, and it was a great experience. It was fixed in just a few days and every person I dealt with -- from the women working the front desk, to Paul in the back, made the experience pleasurable. read more

We originally came here because AAA recommended them. We called to make an appointment to obtain an estimate. We were told the soonest that they could provide an estimate was 3 weeks out. (Three weeks for an estimate?) Although we thought it was quite a long time, we agreed. Apparently, what they meant was 3 weeks to provide an estimate and start the repair. What bothers me about this is their plan was to provide the estimate and THEN order parts, meaning that our car would be sitting in their lot for who knows how long, while they waited for parts to come in. We went to another location where they provided an estimate within minutes and let us know that we can set the appointment for repair when all the needed parts have arrived. Much better arrangement. read more

Even though the experience of having to get our car repaired due to a minor accident, Fix Auto made it much more tolerable. They were right on point with their communication and consistent with their schedule. I highly recommend this company. read more

I got rear end in the middle of the freeway and my car got some damage on the back door, fender and left light. My insurance gave me some places where I can take my car to get fixed. Based on reviews and references, I decided to take it to FIX. It was a decision that I would never regret. Since I dropped my car, the receptionist was cordial and Paul, the tech who will take care of my car came immediately, he gave me and estimate of the cost and timeline to get my car repair. They did a wonderful job and my car looks like a brand new one. Totally satisfied with FIX and their team read more

Worst customer experience (it gets an extra star because the receptionists were polite), and way over price unless your insurance covers it. They wanted to charge me over $1500 for my broken windshield. Took it to a local mom and pop shop and they fixed it for $200. Don't support corporate greed and poor customer service. Support your local business. read more

Claudia, my advisor, was extremely unprofessional and unethical upon me picking up my vehicle and going over the repairs after a car accident through Travelers insurance. After the huge impact my vehicle took from a car side-swiping my entire passenger side on the highway, they were quick to repair the body damage, but nothing that pertained to the vehicles safe operation internally. Also they had to replace both passenger side doors, and when they replaced the front passenger door, they disconnected my speaker and didn't wire it back correctly. I took it to Toyota, and yes, the wiring was loose. I also insisted that my car needed an alignment, but Claudia argued, not advised, but ARGUED with me that it didn't, and that I was uneducated in thinking anything could affect the alignment besides hitting a curb or something directly with my tire. Certainly if something as simple as hitting a curb could throw off the alignment, so could a major impact and traffic accident with another vehicle. At Toyota, to no surprise of mine, the alignment was way off!!! The staff here doesn't seem knowledgeable or rightfully concerned enough about repairing ALL the damage a vehicle incurs after a major car accident. They take shortcuts and only care about fixing the damage that YOU can see!!! I'm less concerned with paint or dents, and more concerned with the safety and longevity of the machine itself and the tires attached to operate safely as it did before the accident!!! read more

There is absolutely no competition. If you want superior quality service, factory finish, a friendly staff, and regular updates on your car, do yourself a favor and choose Henson's. I've gotten at least half a dozen cars painted at different body shops across San Diego and I can personally testify to the quality of Henson's. Getting your car painted can be tricky when you're as meticulous as I am because matching shades, tones, flake, etc. across different panels is not as easy task. More over, 9/10 body shops think they can get away with just spraying the color code and being done with it. That is NOT the case with Henson's. My service advisor Mayra took my case very seriously and recommended that we blend the paint across multiple panels to ensure a seamless job. Jessica and Suzanne were working hard on the office-side making sure to schedule me and keeping me up to date on the status of my car as well as chatting me up while the behind-the-scenes work was completed. I've had my car serviced here TWICE now and I couldn't be more satisfied. Every panel matches, every part was installed correctly, AND they even took care of a massive rock chip on the hood of my car that happened to be within the blending zone! I'm almost happy that my car was in an accident! Did I mention theres a LIFE TIME WARRANTY, as long as you own the car. What else could you ask for? Any time I need body work done, I'll be sure to bring it back to Hensons's. Thank you all being outstanding. read more

I took my Nissan Rogue there today after I hit my friend's fence (shhhh my husband thinks someone hit us) and it left a scrape on the side of my car. First Curtis looked at it and said he thinks it didn't get the paint. He went to get some cleaner and rubbed most of it off. Then he said he would take it to the back and buff and put some polish on it. He got busy with a few people coming in at the same time. When he brought my car back, you couldn't even tell I hit something. I asked him how much I owe, he said Nothing!!!! My bumper has a couple "boo boos" so he asked I bring it back to have the bumper done. I didn't even have an appointment and they were willing to help me. Very impressed with their customer service. read more

HENSON'S FIX AUTO IS AS GOOD AS IT GETS !!!!! Rubi Diaz is a gem (all puns intended)! Before I get started let me say the car rental place is literally across the street. So convient. That said, now for the good stuff: Thorough inspection and fast estimate by Rubi. Drop off and walk across the street to pick up rental car. Fix Auto contacts me by email to update me on repair (Parts arrived, in quality control, car ready, etc). Pick up car (car washed shiney-clean/ detail quality). How can it get better than that? Answer: it doesn't. Whish my whole life worked this smooth... If they started a branch of their business called Fix Life - I'd be a customer right now! A sincere "Thank You!" to henson's Fix Auto for a seamless experience with great customer service and great quality repair... Can't wait for the next guy to hit my car (Not). I was impressed by many 5 stars reviews and chose them for bodywork on our Geico insured car. Unfortunately, work performed slowly (the parts supplier...) The parts replaced, didn't flash straight and the hood came back with wide new scratches. They tried to polished out the scratches but with limited success. It's still visible. Not recommended. Maybe in other cases they performed better, but our experience was something I wouldn't recommend. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR INSURANCE REPAIRS! We learned this the hard way. We were sent here by AAA and were getting quotes from 3 different places. The car was involved in a hit-and-run so we weren't there to witness the incident. The estimator actually called the insurance carrier to tell them he thinks it happened in multiple incidents--I suspect it was because he was irritated we were taking it to multiple places to get bids! Mind you, we had already taken it to one shop who gave a bid ($1,900) and found that the damages were consistent with the singular incident. Thanks to these guys, the carrier is now denying the claim and said if we want to continue, they'll raise our rates. I noticed someone else here had a similar experience as well so it's not a one-off. read more

Was very pleased with the price they quoted, because I knew the quality was going to be top notch AND to my surprise, they finished and got my car back to me before I expected. Don't go here for your auto insurance repair work. Jerk who worked there falsely asserted vehicles damage was the result of THREE different accidents, despite the damage all being in the same area. This shop had no records of actually doing any repair work on the vehicle. Then he took the liberty of calling my insurance adjuster without my knowledge and telling them the same. Now my adjuster thinks it was three incidents and wants to collect three deductibles!! Don't waste your time with these idiots. They will mess up your claim and you will end up paying more. read more

I love this place!!! Last month we had our bumper fixed and it looked great. Later that week we noticed a small clip was broken and the bumper was flapping in the wind. We pushed the corner in but the clip was broken. Life got in the way and we were not able to get it back to have them take a look at it for over a month. We decided today to walk in and see if they would look at it. We didn't have an appointment or our paper work. Not only did they looked at the bumper but they apologized for the inconvenience and fixed it right away, no questions asked. I have had my car repaired 2 times now and they ALWAYS exceeded my expectations. read more

I am very pleased with how my car turned out after being repaired by Curtis. The paint they used was perfectly matched to my car's color. He informed me that they only use the best quality paint and I can say it definitely shows. As a courtesy, he provided me with additional paint to use on my car for any future scratches that my car may get. Not only this, but he also cleaned the interior and exterior of my car. I felt like my car was well taken care of. Another thing that I highly appreciate is that he kept me updated of my car's status though the entire process by conveniently sending me text updates. I definitely recommend this location to get your auto repaired. read more

My family and I have used Henson's for years. My dad would never let us take our cars anywhere else when we needed a repair from an accident or minor issue. I took my Camaro here recently and the repairs are perfection. I ended up trading my car in and the dealership actually mentioned how great the bumper looked after the repair. I took my 04 Tundra for repairs and that was all fine! When I got my truck back my boxed MTX speakers on the back seats were gone. Naturaly I called them the next morning to let them know. Hansen's had some joker rep call me from Fixit asking for a receipt for my speakers that I've had for over 20 years, I explained to him that the money was not the issue I just wanted something done about it like replacing them! I called them back a few times and ignoring me is the only thing that they did. I won't be going back to a place where I have to take inventory of my belongings in my vehicle. Henson's employees were pleasant and (even my husband remarked) that we have never seen a cleaner or more inviting auto body shop!
