Business looked a bit slow for Saturday dinner. Servers were friendly and attentive. Overall the…read morefood and seafood quality were good. I tried the fried calamari appetizer, garlic noodles, garlic bread, Cap't Louis mild sauce with snow crab legs, shrimp, clams, scallops, sausage, and broccoli (steamed or boiled). Each bag already comes with a potato and corn. Scallops were fairly large. Snow crab legs were easy to eat and delicious. Clam shells were large, but not much meat inside. The seasoning was tasty and had a decent spice kick. The more pounds you order, the more sides you get. They have a list of market prices. They don't have alcohol, which seems like a missed opportunity. We would've loved to have a drink. It is nice to have a seafood boil option in that area. They give bibs, gloves, and a disposable dish. I wish the water was served in washable cups for less plastic waste. There is meter parking.

Then we had the spicy tuna and blue crab rice sushi bowls and two Maki rolls the Futo Maki and the scallop. And we had the banana foster pudding and Keylime pie. Everything was delicious and I would recommend to get all of these dishes. The service was great. I did feel at some point that we were being rushed out a little bit even though the restaurant had plenty of empty tables. We went on a Tuesday at 6pm and it never got too loud or too busy. I would recommend going then especially if you don't have a reservation you can still find a table. They have a happy hour until 7pm which is two dollars off cocktails and there's some discount on the left side of the menu but nothing huge. The only negative would be that it's pretty pricey in my opinion.

Also, you can get literally any of the sushi rolls and they are just so good!! Pictured is the kizami roll which is my fav but they also have the Nola roll that has crawfish. Super interesting combos and always so tasty. This miso Caesar is delicious as well. Small and cozy restaurant with super friendly owner and staff. They make you feel right at home. Highly recommended go to spot in the neighborhood.

Original Hurricane was perfection, had to have another. Not a boozy taste but it does catch up with you. I was a little disappointed with the catfish because I was expecting that Nawlins flavor and it was just fried catfish, meh. The cup of gumbo and the spoonful of rice (not complaining about that, it was enough) is where all of the flavor is! The chicken, the andouille and the roux, brought back so many good memories of good food while in the French Quarter. They did that, I should have gotten a larger portion! Our waiter John was very nice and checked in on us regularly, didn't have to lock for him or try to get his attention. Again the place is small but he was very attentive. I would go back just to try other things and hopefully I will get more of that flavor.

At least at the bar. Didn't realize Lowerline was moonlighting as a dive bar. Third, the food & drinks were mid at best. I had the crawfish etouffee & it lacked flavor & was just...not good at all. I had to coat it in hot sauce but it still was mediocre. As for drinks I had the original hurricane which was good but I've had better. The only reason I'm giving two stars versus one is that the bartender was really nice but I wouldn't return back & again, genuinely don't know what the hype is about.
