This place is a must try for people who enjoy Thai food. I wish I was a little more attentive during the ordering because I cannot say that I know any of the dishes names but I can say that I enjoyed everything that we got in this spread. The restaurant has two different locations right next to each other so if you go in and it looks small, don't worry, they have more space! One thing that I do have to warn people about is that they do not sit incomplete parties which is very reasonable for how busy they get! I have to go back and familiarize myself with this menu more because I cannot emphasize enough how great everything was!

Ayada is an amazing Thai place with dishes that packs a kick! The food is amazing but also so spicy! We got the duck rangan which was in this amazing sauce! The soft shell mango salad is the best! It was so well flavored. We got the chicken drunken noodles which were so spicy (be careful with the Thai spice). The chive cakes were also yummy and the least spicy item! Ambience: beautiful and big spot Service: good service! Prices: overall very reasonable especially given the portion sizes

We ordered the shrimp pad, Thai, Chinese broccoli with shrimp and scallops and papaya salad with fried red snapper. All the dishes were excellent! The pads I was tasty and cooked perfectly. The Chinese broccoli with shrimp and scallops was also very tasty although we didn't particularly love the scallops as the consistency was a little off. But the broccoli was great, the shrimp was good and the sauce was very tasty. The pad Thai was very good. The dessert we got the mango sticky rice with coconut milk, and it was excellent... Very tasty dessert. Service was good so we really enjoyed the meal.

II've been to Ayada a couple of times pre-pandemic but never got around to writing a review so here it is! I decided to dine here again recently, choosing it over other nearby spots because of their great reviews and the fact that they have plenty of seating. The menu is huge, so I did have to ask the server a few questions, but they were helpful and I really appreciated that you can choose your spice level. My friend and I ordered the E-Sarn sausage, mango seafood salad (mild), shabu shabu seafood (medium), and drinks the Thai iced tea and lychee lemonade. Everything we ordered was really good! The portion sizes didn't disappoint, and the spice levels were just as requested. The only small downside was that the drinks were a little too sweet for our taste, but adding some water helped balance them out. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try more entrees. With such a big menu, there's still a lot I'd like to explore!

Rating: 7.5/10 Date Last Visited: 8/30/2025 We ordered the Satay Chicken ($12), Drunken Noodles with Chicken ($17), Massaman Curry with Chicken ($17), and Lychee Thai Iced Tea ($6). The drunken noodles were great: the noodles were chewy, flavorful, and toppings added even more. The massaman curry was good too. The satay chicken was so juicy that it had me questioning if it was undercooked (it was not). The food was very solid, similar to other good Thai places, except nothing set this place apart from other solid Thai restaurants in the area. Overall, I would recommend this place for someone who's looking for good Thai food in the area.

All the food was amazing, the drunken noodles taste it so god and the steak was cook to a good temperature. The mango salad was my favorite specially when mix with the chili peppers. I also live the soft shell crabs and the portions were huge. The BBQ pork was huge too and delicious. My friend has been here before and she tried the pad Thai and loved it as well. The beer being in draft was an added plus. The service was fast and friendly and the place was beautifully decorated.

This is the Thai spot to try when you're in NY. We went around 3pm and we're still able to get the lunch special - really good deal. The Tom Yum Soup that comes with your entree is so flavorful and herbacous. Really pungent and sour which makes for a great Tom Yom soup. I paired it with their Shrimp Pad Thai and was really satisfied with my meal and their service. Very friendly and welcoming. Rare that you get that kind of service plus great from from an Thai spot like that. Plenty of seating indoors as well so you can have a part of 4+ or more.

Ayada is one of my go-to spots for Thai takeout, and I've also eaten at the restaurant, which I would recommend as well. I recently ordered takeout again and got the Pad See Ew with shrimp (plus extra peanut sauce on the side) and the Green Curry. Both were excellent, and the portions were generous enough for two meals. The food always arrives warm, fresh, and consistently delicious. Over the years I've tried several other dishes, like the papaya salad, various starters and everything has been great. Ayada is absolutely worth adding to your takeout rotation, and I look forward to my next meal there!

Ayana never disappoints 90% of the time. We had an amazing dinner last night and everything was great except for the Tom Yam Gong. The soup was too sour and the color was too dark unusually. We enjoyed the mango sticky rice as well. The staff are friendly and place is nice and clean like always.

I came by for dinner on a Friday with a friend of mine - it was maybe half full when we arrived around 7pm but did fill up while we were there. It's not a very big place, so the noise level was kind of high (although a lot of it was probably that our adjacent table was Very Loud). I ordered the pad ka prow with ground pork (You can also pick sliced pork or crispy pork, not sure about the other meats.) | was being conservative with their spice levels haha so I only ordered at a medium level, but unfortunately that wasn't as spicy as l'd like -- so l'd definitely suggest the highest spice level if you can handle it. Otherwise it was great - pork was flavourful and the herbal/basil flavour came through. Portion size was a little big so I had some leftovers to take home, which went extremely well in a quick stir-fry with some veggies to complement the savoury meats. My friend ordered the massaman curry w/ beef which was also really yummy. The curry was really rich and fragrant, and the beef was tender and delicious. Overall price point was good, I think definitely very much worth the quality and quantity of food. I'd love to come back to more of their dishes.

Food: The food is delicious here! We came for their lunch specials ($12.99) which comes with a vegetable spring roll, soup or salad, and an entree. Their Thai iced tea was also very good and refreshing. The salad comes with a peanut satay dressing which is excellent. The soup is a tom yum soup packed with flavors and seasoning. The green curry (medium spice level) was pretty spicy and comes with a bowl of rice. The curry sauce is very good and has carrots, bamboo shoots, and string beans. You can choose to add either chicken, tofu, or pork. The pad se-ew was my favorite; the noodle texture was perfectly chewy and bouncy. The flavor was also excellent. Both lunch specials were delicious, and I would definitely go back for them. Service: Service was excellent. The staff are friendly and attentive. Ambiance: The restaurant is quite large because they have two store fronts/sides. They can accommodate small and large groups. Seating is comfortable and spacious. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant!

Picked a Thai restaurant in little Thailand in Elmhurst and ordered some traditional dishes. Everything was delicious . The crispy salmon with papaya salad was my favorite dish.

    Is this a halal restaurant?

    No it's Thai restaurant.

What vegetarian dishes are recommended to get? Do they serve the sour curry without the shrimp and broccoli omelet?

Unsure about the sour curry. I'm sure that you'll be able to let the waiter know about your preference and they'll be glad to do it.

This is the best Thai restaurant I've had in America!…read more We went on Sunday around 230pm and waited about 20 minutes but right after us the line grew pretty long and was a 1 hour wait. The place is quite small. I've been chasing the raw shrimp ceviche flavors ever since I had it at a night market in Thailand and finally found a close 2nd here! It was a perfect balance of tangy and salty. They gave us a decent amount of shrimps. The tom yum soup had a kick (to the back of your throat) to it even though we asked for mild. It was tasty. The basil minced pork was also delicious with the Thai omelette completing it really well! My partner got the intestine herbal soup and it was pretty good! I wasn't in the mood for it. I had some bites of it and it wasn't smelly at all. Thai iced tea was also good and as expected. A bit too sweet for me, I wouldn't order it again.

A fellow foodie Sally W. suggested we try this local Thai place in Elmhurst, not knowing it is…read morerated a Michelin Bib-Gourmand. I was so excited to try! Pushing through the crowds waiting for a table at the door, we secured a spot just beyond the doorway. Inside, it was very cozy and tight as far as seating. The restaurant dining room is really meant for single diners or pairs of people, as the room is not wide. Any group 4+ will be difficult unless you have a reservation and they planned for it. The menu has a lot of seafood, pork and classic Thai curry dishes. Those all caught my eye. It was hard to decide. The waiter was super friendly and all smiles. We asked for his recommendations between the dishes we were thinking of and his choices were spot on. If you are a fan of spicy/dishes with heat, there are plenty on this menu. I wanted to order a few but I was afraid to given the spice level couldn't really be adjusted on some. Started with the curry puff appetizer. It was really tasty, potatoes and onion as well as the curry powder flavor really came through on this. Delicious. For entrees, we tried the: - clams with basil sauce - packed with a mild chili paste heat in the sauce but stir fried to perfect consistency. Of the whole plate, a few clams didn't open so I tossed those. - duck panang - nicely roasted with crispy textured skin, paired with basil in a coconut milk and curry paste. Very delicious. - stewed pork leg, could've been more tender so it was a tad on the tough side. The soy sauce soup and boiled egg was good though. Drinks were very good, Thai Iced tea was not overly sweet. We opted to pass on dessert as the table we sat at was really meant for two but it was three of us. I felt a little too crammed in. I think I would've enjoyed the meal better if I had a more relaxed/leisure dining pace but they were really busy and too tight on space. I can see why it's a hidden gem and noted as a Bib-Gourmand. Prices are very fair and the food was really good. Very authentic.

It's not in Manhattan, but I'm telling you -- it's worth the trip. It's located right next to Little Thailand and easy to find with Google Maps. One downside is that the space is very small. They only have four small tables for two and one larger table for 3-4 people, so it might be difficult for bigger groups unless you make a reservation. We arrived right after they opened, and not long after, the whole place was packed. Besides the size, the restaurant is really pretty and cozy. The menu is interesting and offers a wide variety of dishes -- fried, stir-fried, grilled, soups, and more. Here's what we ordered: Crab Fried Rice - We ordered it without much thought, just to try it, and it ended up being one of the best Thai dishes we've ever had. Even my husband (who is Laos/Thai) loved it. He rarely gets to eat crab because his mom has a severe allergy, so this was special for him too. (We forgot take picture lol) Crispy Pork Belly - Served super hot and crispy. I love that they battered it instead of just deep-frying it plain. It had great texture and was so flavorful. Tum Thai (Thum Mak Hoong) - We ordered it very spicy and asked if they could make it Laos-style. They tried, and it was pretty good. It was slightly lacking the strong fermented fish sauce (padek) punch that gives it that bold, pungent flavor. But honestly, it's still very close to Northern style -- just more approachable and less intense, so more people can enjoy it. Sticky Rice - Served the traditional way in a bamboo basket (aep khao) with a lid, which keeps it piping hot. I love when restaurants keep it authentic like that. We wanted to order more because there were so many options, but just three dishes were already enough for us -- we even had leftovers. They packed everything very securely; I carried the papaya salad around all day and it didn't spill at all. It is pretty pricey, but honestly, it's worth trying at least once for the quality and authenticity. We'll definitely bring his parents here next time we're back in NYC.
