So, I've known about this place forever, but haven't been able to go. Finally make it during lunch and I loved it. Service: it's nice. They definitely didn't tell me that lunch specials were available before I ordered my soup. Other than that, everyone is pleasant. Space: they have two sides, so plenty of space, but nights and weekends can get pretty packed, so keep that in mind. Food: I ordered Tom Yum soup and a lunch drunken noodle with a Thai iced tea. I only had the soup there and took the entire lunch special to go. Just based off of the soup, I will be going back. It was delicious and PACKED to the MAX! Writing this now, I can still imagine. Drunken Noodles were also really tasty. I like mine spicy and it could have been made spicier, but that's not even a real complaint. Also- the one next to me had this dish which reminded me of pad see ew but in a gravy. Looked delicious!! I will be back for whatever she had. Overall: the entire block is like a little Thai street. It was decent. Tried it out in 2023 so I don't remember too much but I do remember stopping by as I was walking just to try a place I've never been to. There were a few tables seated but it was a bit dead ( then again, it was around 4:30 so it was between lunchtime and dinner). The price felt decent and comparable to elsewhere. The pad kee mao was okay as I never had it before but I do feel like it was a bit too heavy on the dark soy and molasses sweetness. So happy I got to try this place out in Little Thailand at Elmhurst! We walked without any reservations and was able to get a spot very quickly. The server was so nice and accomodating to us! - Tom Yum Soup - Such a great soup! The flavor was super rich which contrasted very well with the fresh mushrooms. - Crispy Duck Panang Curry - I love that this dish came with rice as I feel like at most Thai restaurants in the city you need to order it on the side. The duck was extremely crispy and the flavor of the breast went very well with the rich curry. - Raw Shrimp Salad - I've never had this dish before so I was very interested in its flavor and it delivered! The shrimp had such a wonderful sour but fresh flavor while the inside of the shrimp was slightly soft almost like an uni texture. The best word to describe it was umami! The raw bitter melon and the garlic was also interesting to contrast the fishy flavor of the shrimp although we didn't really finish these side pieces at the end. I wish they cleaned the shrimp a bit better as there were still some poop tracks in the shrimp. I parked a few blocks away from the restaurant and the neighborhood is friendly! The restaurant is quite big because there are two seperate entrances as if it's two restaurants combined into one? the staff is attentive and took our order right away. I was really craving soft shell crab so I definitely ordered the soft shell crab with mango salad. We also ordered the catfish, drunken noodle with tofu, mussels and crab fried rice to go. my favorite was the drunken noodle and of course had to end the whole experience with some mango sticky rice! read more

Love Ayada!!! They do the classics and do it so well. It's a cute and simple space in Woodside/Elmhurst area. Service is consistently nice, albeit not super fast but that's completely OK. This time I had the chicken wings and the Pad See Ew with crispy pork. Both were perfect. The Pad See Ew is materially better than other ones as the noodles are so chewy and silky. I've also gotten Pad Kee Mao with thai spicy and it was fantastic. Perfectly spicy!! Definitely try this place!! read more

This place is a must try for people who enjoy Thai food. I wish I was a little more attentive during the ordering because I cannot say that I know any of the dishes names but I can say that I enjoyed everything that we got in this spread. The restaurant has two different locations right next to each other so if you go in and it looks small, don't worry, they have more space! One thing that I do have to warn people about is that they do not sit incomplete parties which is very reasonable for how busy they get! Ayada is an amazing Thai place with dishes that packs a kick! The food is amazing but also so spicy! We got the duck rangan which was in this amazing sauce! The soft shell mango salad is the best! It was so well flavored. We got the chicken drunken noodles which were so spicy (be careful with the Thai spice). The chive cakes were also yummy and the least spicy item! II've been to Ayada a couple of times pre-pandemic but never got around to writing a review so here it is! I decided to dine here again recently, choosing it over other nearby spots because of their great reviews and the fact that they have plenty of seating. The menu is huge, so I did have to ask the server a few questions, but they were helpful and I really appreciated that you can choose your spice level. My friend and I ordered the E-Sarn sausage, mango seafood salad (mild), shabu shabu seafood (medium), and drinks the Thai iced tea and lychee lemonade. Everything we ordered was really good! The portion sizes didn't disappoint, and the spice levels were just as requested. The only small downside was that the drinks were a little too sweet for our taste, but adding some water helped balance them out. Overall, I'd definitely come back to try more entrees. With such a big menu, there's still a lot I'd like to explore! read more

All the food was amazing, the drunken noodles taste it so god and the steak was cook to a good temperature. The mango salad was my favorite specially when mix with the chili peppers. I also live the soft shell crabs and the portions were huge. The BBQ pork was huge too and delicious. My friend has been here before and she tried the pad Thai and loved it as well. This is the Thai spot to try when you're in NY. We went around 3pm and we're still able to get the lunch special - really good deal. The Tom Yum Soup that comes with your entree is so flavorful and herbacous. Really pungent and sour which makes for a great Tom Yom soup. I paired it with their Shrimp Pad Thai and was really satisfied with my meal and their service. Very friendly and welcoming. Ayada is one of my go-to spots for Thai takeout, and I've also eaten at the restaurant, which I would recommend as well. I recently ordered takeout again and got the Pad See Ew with shrimp (plus extra peanut sauce on the side) and the Green Curry. Both were excellent, and the portions were generous enough for two meals. The food always arrives warm, fresh, and consistently delicious. Over the years I've tried several other dishes, like the papaya salad, various starters and everything has been great. Ayada is absolutely worth adding to your takeout rotation, and I look forward to my next meal there! read more

I came by for dinner on a Friday with a friend of mine - it was maybe half full when we arrived around 7pm but did fill up while we were there. It's not a very big place, so the noise level was kind of high (although a lot of it was probably that our adjacent table was Very Loud). I ordered the pad ka prow with ground pork (You can also pick sliced pork or crispy pork, not sure about the other meats.) | was being conservative with their spice levels haha so I only ordered at a medium level, but unfortunately that wasn't as spicy as l'd like -- so l'd definitely suggest the highest spice level if you can handle it. Otherwise it was great - pork was flavourful and the herbal/basil flavour came through. Portion size was a little big so I had some leftovers to take home, which went extremely well in a quick stir-fry with some veggies to complement the savoury meats. My friend ordered the massaman curry w/ beef which was also really yummy. The curry was really rich and fragrant, and the beef was tender and delicious. Overall price point was good, I think definitely very much worth the quality and quantity of food. I'd love to come back to more of their dishes. read more

The Chinese broccoli with shrimp and scallops was also very tasty although we didn't particularly love the scallops as the consistency was a little off. But the broccoli was great, the shrimp was good and the sauce was very tasty. The pad Thai was very good. The dessert we got the mango sticky rice with coconut milk, and it was excellent... Their Thai iced tea was also very good and refreshing. The salad comes with a peanut satay dressing which is excellent. The soup is a tom yum soup packed with flavors and seasoning. The green curry (medium spice level) was pretty spicy and comes with a bowl of rice. The curry sauce is very good and has carrots, bamboo shoots, and string beans. You can choose to add either chicken, tofu, or pork. The pad se-ew was my favorite; the noodle texture was perfectly chewy and bouncy. The flavor was also excellent. This is an excellent no frills Thai restaurant in Woodside. The prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly, and all of the food was absolutely delicious. We had the raw shrimp salad, crab fried rice, and the pork leg entree, and washed it all down with a couple ice cold Singha beers. Had a family gathering for lunch here today, and all of the food was amazing. The service is also good, very friendly and attentive wait staff. However, if you have a gluten and/or egg allergy, beware... My 4 year old son had some chicken satay and pad thai (both are marked as "gluten free" on their menu), and we asked for no egg in his pad Thai too, advising he had an egg allergy in addition to his gluten allergy, and he still ended up with a severe allergic reaction after lunch. Not sure what went wrong in the kitchen, but we had a very terrible time after the meal, so please be careful dining here if you have any dietary allergies! read more

The chive dumplings were very good and good price. The sausage was good but not very special, so I would not order again. We ordered the duck curry to be thai spicy but it wasn't spicy at all. We also ordered the thai basil fried rice to be spicy but not spicy again. Overall, food was tasty but just didn't hit the spot for the spice level. I will come back to give it another try one day. Food- there were some that get a 4 and some that get a 3. I really felt that my Pad See Ew with chicken was quite flavorful. The calamari appetizer was a hit. The mango and papaya salads were nice and fresh. Comments from my fellow party on the rest of their food was good but not exceptional. Service unfortunately was a miss. It was great up to the point when the appetizers came. Then the server forgot about us and we watched people arriving after us get their orders in and was getting their food. Guess what's bad is when you see people coming after get to eat before you. However, once the dinner orders were taken, the food came out pretty fast. I've been meaning to try Ayada Thai for quite some time and am glad that I finally got around to order some takeout from there. I decided to err on the side of caution and order a "safe" Thai dish from there ie the drunken noodles. I ordered the "spicy" level and I will say, they definitely have a kick and I would do medium if I had to order it next time. The reason I knocked off two stars are for two reasons- 1. it was way too oily and 2. there was barely any chicken in it. Don't let the picture deceive you, they decorate the top of the takeout package with chicken and then call it a day. If I wanted to order just noodles and no protein then I would've done that. All in all, I may return but despite the hype this place gets, I've had better Thai food elsewhere and there's no dearth of Thai food in NYC. read more

Note there are two of these restaurants on same block with a place in between separating them. One is more formal than the other. The inside of the one we went to was more restaurant like whereas "upscale" I guess. Service was excellent. Friendly servers and staff. Food looked great but was solid base hit. Not bad but not to die for Thai. Pad Thai was solid ( you know this is my staple review of a Thai place) . Dis snapper whole fried was large but drier it was missing some of the soy sauce sweet tamarind mixture they put on it. Needed more to compliment the saltiness of the fried seasonings. The duck was good and tender but bit flavorful and curry was missing something. The Chinese broccoli was just steamed no seasonings . Maybe was off day but this seems like the standard here. The Tom Yum soup was good but couldn't live used more like and lemongrass flavor. read more

Crab Rolls - also good but given some of the other seafood with the appetizers I don't think it was needed BBQ Pork Tender - these were seasoned super well, but were a bit chewy. There's a TON of pork in this serving. Sticky rice is served on the side. Pad See Ew - Very delicious!! I'd say the noodles are thin and so tasted the tiniest bit overcooked but I'd still recommend, because the flavor is amazing. Crispy Duck Panang Curry - This was a MUST TRY. Such a delicious curry, I kept spooning curry on top of rice in my plate!! The duck is also cooked very well. Fried Fish - This is a HUGE fish put on a plate. It's good for sharing, but to be honest it's difficult to pick out the meat, so be warned. Food was all amazing, and the dinner prices are a great value here. Have been in a Thai kick recently and wanted to test my spice tolerance. Was not disappointed by this meal! -frog legs with basil. My first time trying frog legs so I was a bit nervous regarding the texture but was pleasantly surprised. Went with spicy for this and the taste was a good combo of spice and flavor. The frog legs were easy to eat off the bone and perfectly crispy. -"jungle curry". I'm not a huge fan of coconut based dishes so I usually shy away from curry and was happy to see this offered. The flavor was nice and the "spicy" level spice was perfect-just enough to make us sweat. I regret choosing tofu but that's on me as it's just not the right choice for this dish. The only thing I would have wanted to be better was the amount of broth which made it a bit soupy. The ambience itself is super cool and I appreciated the decorations. The staff super friendly and attentive to water refills. If you're looking for spicy, the Thai tea is a must. The large is worth. The prices are a bit high overall but the portions make up for it! After having this bookmarked for years, I finally got the chance to stop by since I happened to be in the area. I got their lunch special of pad thai with pork which also came with a vegetable spring roll and chicken tomyum soup. I'm not sure but the benches felt slightly heated which is a nice touch during winter months. They definitely give you your money's worth of food here! Service was great too. One of my most visited Thai restaurants when I have a Thai food craving. I would recommend getting their chicken satay, nam tok noodles, crab fried rice and drunken noodles with chicken. Their spicy is "Thai spicy" meaning it is pretty spicy and has green chili peppers and Thai chili peppers on it. I also really like their fried red snapper fish with papaya salad with the sweet Thai chili sauce. It is great for sharing and will get you craving for more! read more
