Weekday lunch with the ladies was lovely. We ordered items to share and they let us sit for almost two hours. Food was good as usual. Forgot to take photos of everything because I was busy talking and eating.

The menu is 39 pages long. Good luck if you're indecisive But if there is one thing you cannot miss, it's their Thai iced tea. It is one of the best Thai iced teas I have ever tried and it's only $4. The waiters/waitresses are literally the kindest people ever and the place is perfect for pictures and aesthetics.

I came here many years ago when I was young and single. Now that I'm married and older, I thought I would eat less, but forget about it! Lol! I forgot to come back but didn't forget to eat lol. So when Hubby's friends mentioned it, we decided to dine with them here, and we ordered like we hadn't eaten for days lol. This time we ordered two whole red snappers with two different sauces. So delicious! Definitely will return for the same dish, fish in ginger sauce. Surprised! We returned for lunch many more times after this and also came here when no other restaurants opened on Christmas and New Year's Day. The restaurant is huge! They have a front dining area, and the backyard dining area is huge as well. They put up a nice fountain with floral decoration, so it looks magical. Just don't eat the flowers. So be ready. Come hungry because the place won't disappoint you. Great owner and service too. Highly recommended, the best traditional Thai restaurant!

Found out about this restaurant years ago after a friend recommended it. We went in the wintertime and years later, it is still a beautiful space! Loved their food and their menu has expanded since then. Not to mention there is a backyard which is especially pretty in the summertime with a fountain, flowers and a peacock decor. Tried the northern sausages again. We also ordered the vegan drunken noodles, pad cha, chive pancakes and seafood pan fried egg noodles. The food was flavorful without being too salty or spicy. Loved the Thai green tea with the vanilla in it and we compared it to the Thai tea which is black tea brewed with spices and tamarind. The ripe mango with sticky rice is always good, so I tried it again. The Tub Tim Krob and Kanom Neaw desserts were also interesting! When we finished our meal in the afternoon, there was instrumental jazz music. Glad that I went to the SriPraPhai Thai restaurant again years later. Great customer service as years ago!

My friends and I came in last weekend for a wholesome weekend lunch. The outdoor space on the back is beautiful and perfect for a good weather day. My friend and I opted to get a vegan combo with coconut rice, papaya salad and green curry. The bummer is that they do not let you customize the curry - the only option is to get the green curry. We also got Thai tea with no milk. I forgot to get pictures of everything essentially as I was starving. The food came out in decent time. The papaya salad was really good. The green curry was delicious too. Not the best I had, but not bad. The coconut rice was essentially plain rice - I didn't taste any coconut flavor in it. I didn't mind. The Thai tea was really good. The service is good - there are hiccups. We had multiple people tending to us so there was some confusion when we paid our cheques.

The call is coming from the inside the house. It's fun when FlyGuy X. rates Yellowstone 2 stars because it's too cold in November, less so when the great SriPraPhai gets lukewarm comments from Elites. Had a great lunch here with an out-of-town SriPraPhai early adopter, but I need to do better about initiating my own ventures. Revisted the spectacular crispy Chinese watercress salad, going for a not-too-spicy variant. The sliced fried catfish and duck green curry were also outstanding; there was no spice discussion for these, the heat was reasonable but of course personal preferences vary, call your broker. Someone complained the menu's too long. Hmm. I've never had anything here that wasn't great but this isn't a diner lobster situation. I would say don't get the p-d T-ai even though I've never tried it, given that SriPraPhai's brilliance provides opportunities to go beyond your usuals.

Ambiance - Bright, clean- very clean, and lots of space. Seating is very comfortable. Outdoor Seating is located in the backyard with a beautiful foundation - calming and pretty view. Service - very polite and attentive. They kept making sure we have enough table space and take away used plates. They can do it without making any sound- Ninja move!! Food - the food tastes very good. not too salty or too spicy. all favors was just amount of heat and flavors. Definitely come back to enjoy the calmness, service and other dishes.

Beautiful space! I haven't been here in ages. Loved their food way back then so once there was this event here that I was invited to I definitely wanted to come back. Because it was a private event they provided bento boxes. Service was super fast & nice! Definitely going back in future! They had a beautiful backyard but it was a bit cold and drizzly. However space was tight inside so thankfully just sat outside to eat when rain stopped. Happened to see a busy bee in one of their real flowers working hard in the cold!

I have to share some continued love for SriPhaPhai. After all these years, they have remained a top destination for Thai food in the area (and maybe the whole city) and always deliver on the quality. I visited again for the first time in about 4 years and their interior has been remodeled to be brighter and more open. And of course they easily accept credit cards, Apple Pay, etc. now. The service is wonderful and speedy. You will never go wrong with a visit her and grabbing any of their noodle dishes - my faves.

This is a place where you have to know what to order on the menu to really appreciate it. Get the morning glory, it's delicious and the perfect balance of crispiness and savory. The egg omelette is also an amazing, local favorite that is inexpensive relative to the other Thai places you might find in the city. We came in with a big party, and they were able to accommodate despite being pretty busy already. The waiters are constantly on their feet attending to your needs and questions.

The decorations are so pretty & they have a very detailed menu. The vegetarian dish pages are all green! Love the differentiation. We went for dessert only. When we informed the server, she told us we have to order a lot since the table was opened for us? There were plenty of empty seats, so I don't see why we were told to order a lot. We felt compelled to order an appetizer, but we didn't since we just had lunch. My friend was planning on ordering entree to go anyway. I think she got drunken noodles to go. She also got (3/5) "SD-8 -THAI ICED COFFEE WITH MILK OR ALMOND MILK OR COCONUT MILK- $4.66, which was butter even with milk. She didn't like it. For dessert, she got (3/5, $6.21) Thai tea ice cream, which was too sweet. The tapioca and the ice cream are too sweet. We also got: coffee, (4/5, $6.21 ) D-1 (B) - LYCHEE ICE CREAM- (slightly sour & sweet since it's sorbet, comes with lychee on top) , 3/5 lava cake which turned into chocolate soufflé since it was over baked, very dense, & (3/5) pumpkin custard.

Food was great, all dishes ordered were pack full of intensity and depths of flavor Service was good, kept getting refills of water and had good eyes on the table. There was a slight mix up with our order, but nothing too crazy and was corrected once known Ambiance is also really nice. Warm interior with wooden design

We decided to try this place for a casual work meeting. A few important things to note off the bat: 1. This place is NOT cash only as of Dec 2024. They take credit cards but charge more per dish (essentially a small credit card fee). The website says it's cash only (I don't like it when business websites are outdated.). 2. They open at 11:30 am so if you show up early and the weather sucks, too bad. You'll be waiting outside until 11:30 am with no cover. With that said, overall it was a good experience. I went with a small group of 3. We placed our orders and food came out decently hot and relatively quickly. I asked for medium spice level and I'd say it was rather mild. So don't be afraid to go for a little more spice if that's how you roll. I would recommend the Drunken Noodles. The rice noodles are so tender. Love that consistency. The tom yum soup is exactly what you would expect. Tom yum is basically a Thai soup that combines hot, sour, and sweet. The shrimp was overcooked but that's expected when it's sitting in a blazing hot (temperature-wise) soup. I like tom yum. Some people absolutely hate it so if you're not sure what it is, keep your expectations open. Service was ok. Staff was nice. They kind of forgot to bring our drinks so we had to ask after the food came out. And for dessert, they didn't have the mango with sticky rice which was disappointing. If you're going to give me a dessert menu, you gotta tell me that the #1 on that menu isn't available. We ended up getting lychee sherbert and it was tasty. Restaurant was roomy and clean. I was actually quite impressed with the restroom. Cleanest one in New York City within 50 miles. Check it out for yourself.

SriPraPhai Thai Restaurant Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - SriPraPhai Thai Restaurant

Is it still cash only during the pandemic?

Yes I was just there yesterday

I'd like to go with 2 friends on a Tuesday at 5:30 for outdoor seating. Any idea what the wait time is like for outdoor seating?

i should not be long at that time, the yard is pretty big. Enjoy, they are closed Wednesdays.

Will the backyard outdoor seating be open in October? Will there be a heating system?

Not sure, but it makes good sense. Contact the restaurant!

Who can I speak to about doing a private event like a baby shower? I asked before about doing one on yelp, and was told you can accommodate up to 65 people. When I called they said I'm unable to do so.

Dear Kristine, my apologies for delay in replying. We can accommodate most days but not for dinner on weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun). Lunch on weekends are ok.

Do they host private events? For a group of 40?

Yes. We have a room that can do a private event for up to 65 people. Thank you for your question.

How's the wait for weekend lunch?

It wasn't that long we got in pretty quick

    Do they have gift cards?

Yes, we do have gift certificate available. Thanks

    Is it cash only?

The SriPraPhai in Woodside is cash only. I'm not sure about the one in Williston Park.

How spicy is the green curry?

By default, it's the spiciest type of curry you can ask for. But at SriPraPhai they can moderate the amount the chiles they add to it to make it tolerable for you.

    Is this place still BYOB?

Yes but with a cork fee

What to get for a vegetarian?

They have a whole separate vegetarian menu. Lots of options :)

It was a perfect balance of tangy and salty. They gave us a decent amount of shrimps. The tom yum soup had a kick (to the back of your throat) to it even though we asked for mild. It was tasty. The basil minced pork was also delicious with the Thai omelette completing it really well! My partner got the intestine herbal soup and it was pretty good! I wasn't in the mood for it. I had some bites of it and it wasn't smelly at all. Thai iced tea was also good and as expected. A bit too sweet for me, I wouldn't order it again.

It's not in Manhattan, but I'm telling you -- it's worth the trip. It's located right next to Little Thailand and easy to find with Google Maps. One downside is that the space is very small. They only have four small tables for two and one larger table for 3-4 people, so it might be difficult for bigger groups unless you make a reservation. We arrived right after they opened, and not long after, the whole place was packed. Besides the size, the restaurant is really pretty and cozy. The menu is interesting and offers a wide variety of dishes -- fried, stir-fried, grilled, soups, and more. Here's what we ordered: Crab Fried Rice - We ordered it without much thought, just to try it, and it ended up being one of the best Thai dishes we've ever had. Even my husband (who is Laos/Thai) loved it. He rarely gets to eat crab because his mom has a severe allergy, so this was special for him too. (We forgot take picture lol) Crispy Pork Belly - Served super hot and crispy. I love that they battered it instead of just deep-frying it plain. It had great texture and was so flavorful. Tum Thai (Thum Mak Hoong) - We ordered it very spicy and asked if they could make it Laos-style. They tried, and it was pretty good. It was slightly lacking the strong fermented fish sauce (padek) punch that gives it that bold, pungent flavor. But honestly, it's still very close to Northern style -- just more approachable and less intense, so more people can enjoy it. Sticky Rice - Served the traditional way in a bamboo basket (aep khao) with a lid, which keeps it piping hot. I love when restaurants keep it authentic like that. We wanted to order more because there were so many options, but just three dishes were already enough for us -- we even had leftovers. They packed everything very securely; I carried the papaya salad around all day and it didn't spill at all. It is pretty pricey, but honestly, it's worth trying at least once for the quality and authenticity. We'll definitely bring his parents here next time we're back in NYC.
