I absolutely love this spot. The food is always fresh, mouthwatering, and perfectly seasoned - the seafood boils never disappoint. The service is attentive from the moment you sit down, you have someone there to help you. The ambience is fun, casual, and perfect for a laid-back night out (especially if you want to watch a football game on a Sunday evening). Definitely one of our go-to places in Rego Park!

Came back again! No regrets yet again!! Was attended quickly, my waiter was so sweet and the music they were playing was hitting the soul just like the food!! A fave for sure

I really wanted to enjoy this seafood boil but i didn't. The flavor was lacking and i assume they boil seafood then add the sauce so theres no flavor to the seafood. Aside from that the shrimp were well done so it felt like i was chewing forever. I may go back but i would try something other than the boil. The crab legs were decent but again no flavor which i feel is the point of a boil. The servers were good.

Love the Cajun sauce and seafood here. It's decently priced for the amount and quality of the food. I would come again if I have seafood craving next time since I love the flavor. Price is decent for a seafood place. The waiters were attentive. It's a nice place to grab dinner and watch a game with your date/buddy/family. The environment is not loud so, you can have a nice chat about the food and life while peeling your shrimp/crab.

Came here for a friends birthday. It was good. I liked the oceanic sauce spicy. High recommend the mussels snow crab and shrimp! Will come back to try other sauces! If you love seafood, this is def a place to try!

In my opinion, this is the best seafood place in the neighborhood. They offer every kind of seafood - fried, sauteed, or boiled. You can get crawfish, shrimp, calamari, catfish, lobster, oysters, etc. It's only been around a couple of years, so the place still looks very new. There is a bar as well, so you can get any kind of beer or cocktail with your seafood. Best of all, the food here is Cajun style. I am a fan of Cajun food, so the flavors were just right for me. You can tell the waiter to adjust the spiciness accordingly. If you choose the boiled seafood, you can choose the flavor it is cooked in too such as garlic butter, lemon pepper, or spicy garlic butter. The portion sizes of our food were very filling and everything tasted fresh. And make sure you try their cajun fries.

Reserved a table online an hour before dinner, and we were seated immediately when our party came. Service was outstanding. Food and drinks were delicious.

So me and my husband order to go two pounds of king crab with the potatoes and corn! It was so delicious! I never been here to eat but we have ordered pick up a few times. They always are friendly on the phone and get our orders correct! They do have a outside dining area as well so one day soon we will come back to sit for dinner! Best crab place I found in Queens!

Nice Valentine's Day Dinner at Oceanic Boil. The place was very clean and the service was good. The grilled oysters were great! My wife enjoyed her Apple Martini cocktail and we loaded up on Lobster, Crab, Shrimp, and Crawfish. I did wish for more table room, as it can get a bit messy. Loved the double sinks in the back to wash your hands. We enjoyed the food and garlic butter old bay sauce on the seafood. I highly recommend. Spicy of course. 3 lbs of seafood was filling enough for us. They had good music playing and we really enjoyed our time there. If you like seafood boils this place is a must try!

Great space with plenty of room. The location is accessible and theres plenty of metered parking. The music was at a decent volume and the drinks were a hit. Had the oceanic boil with the oceanic sauce, and it did not disappoint. Our waiter was Ardy and was absolutely amazing! He took his time going over the menu with us and giving us recommendations. This is surely a feel good space. Will be back!

My second time eating from this seafood boil. I've been wanting to check it out as I've had takeout from here before. Of course, it is better dining in vs. eating it outside. I've tried other boil places in Queens and haven't really found one that I really like, except this one, which is on top of my list. The service is great, the bathroom is clean, there are sinks outside , which is even better, and the boil is great! There is a bar with tvs just in case you needed to know this information. Also, the boil is large enough to eat with another person. I got the combination headless shrimp with two crabs, and that was good, along with garlic noodles. I recommend this one it you like crab. The seasoning was great, too. It wasn't bland, that's for sure. All in all, I'll be returning to try a different type of boil.

I can here with friends because it is in my town and I have always wanted to try. I love their New Orleans fleur de lys theme. There are many options to choose from for the boils and they have great pricing. We started with the oysters, I didn't love them. They didn't taste fresh. My husband and I got the snow crab and crawfish boil. We did thoroughly enjoy it, but felt that we have had better. It came with potatoes and corn our friends got snow crab and crawfish. They love coming here and enjoyed their meal. I wouldn't come running back, but I did like the atmosphere and the service. I am happy I tried the restaurant.

    Chris P.

I decided to come here on a whim rainy weeknight after work. I heard mixed reviews about this place. When I arrived I was immediately seated and the servers were very eager to take my order. I ordered the virgin Pina colada which was very refreshing and since I wanted something small I went with the soft shell crab with fries combo which was located in their list of appetizers. The menu stated there were three pieces but I definitely had more than that so the order alone was a meal in itself for me. Food service was a bit slow but it was worth it as everything was fresh. I'd definitely return to try the boil and other cocktails.

The staffs were very low energies when we visited on a weekend night. The overall ambiance and interaction made us feel a little uncomfortable. We ordered: - eggplant dip - fries - Greek salad (large) - cooked fish - calamari - octopus Honestly I was so disappointed with the food. It didn't taste as fresh and was overall too salty. The eggplant dip had a weird taste. Friend fries were not as crispy and unevenly distributed portions of salt. The calamari was nothing special. The fish was okay, and the octopus was so salty we actually sent back the dish. It was very difficult to enjoy it. The staff was so accommodating and actually took the dish off our bill. (Thank you!! - great customer service!). My favorite item was probably the Greek salad, but then again it's hard to mess up a salad. I would say this is my least favorite counter order style seafood restaurant in Astoria. My friend said great things about it prior to my visit and I really wish I would have liked it.

I was exuberant for the occasion of goodness to patronize, at long last. What gives you hope. There is an outdoor seating patio that occupies the entire sidewalk and half the street. The weather was gloomy cloudy, but not raining which enable my party of two to dine outdoors. Our table was uneven wobbling and shaking minimal the entire meal which reminisce "Lisa from Temecula" sketch from "Saturday Night Live," but not as violently aggressive shaking. Customer service is average attentive. Oddly, our appetizers arrived first and my wine did not. We had to request my wine which should be distributed first without request or reminder, thus the four stars. This restaurant was not entirely busy nor crowded for a Friday early afternoon. Nick's Bistro is a small cafe with a modern aesthetic appeal. I enjoy and prefer to be well-cultured expose to all international cuisines without judgment and an open mind for appreciation and global awareness. I am not knowledgeable with Greek cuisine, but I do know that Astoria is the locale for the go-to restaurants. I enter with a empty stomach. I exited fulfilled. Business cards and candy were available for grabs. Nick's Bistro is easily accessible via MTA NYC Transit buses Q53 SBS/ Q52 SBS and then Q54. Dramatic irony: this business name is also the name of my former love - not the same Nick, certainly not the same man. My foodie synopsis: Lamb gyro sandwich, $12.00 The meat was soft, but fresh and Tzatziki sauce was heavy. I do not consume lamb often, but once in a blue moon I would not exclude lamb to consume. The pita bread was the highlight which was fresh, soft and cooked with a good consistency without burning or harden. The gyro contain very minimum vegetables of lettuce, tomato and red onion. I always prefer red onion. This sandwich ate my fill to sustain hunger pangs the entire afternoon. Gyro sandwich is always my default Greek entrée of choice. Oddly, this entrée is price higher than listed on their website for $9.00. I do not believe their website is updated for price. Caesar salad, small $11.25 It was fresh and delightful filled with Parmesan shaved cheese. This portion is actually medium size. The croutons are thankfully not hard, but I never like croutons at all. I am always enamored with the lettuce. Ruffino, Chianti, red wine $12.00 This wine is one of my favorite reds, but it is difficult to find at most restaurants or cafés not widely offered. It was a joyous delight. It is exactly as is dry, very medium-bodied smooth finish Italian red wine from Tuscany, Italy, crafted from indigenous Sangiovese grape. It highlight bright cherry flavors and surely tasted. I was floating in very high spirits. Chicken rice soup, pint $6.95 Served luke warm but not piping hot with steam visibly emitted. It was also served with Oyster crackers. It was enjoyable and warm the heart. Greek Omelet, over easy egg whites $16.50 It was served with Greek feta with vegetables yellow zucchini and pita chips. I do not see any tomatoes. This entrée did appeared well prepared and well cooked but no runny yoke. My neighbor thoroughly enjoyed this entrée. Every time I think of omelet it bring flashbacks from past long-haul international flights major airlines of standard airplane food popularity for in-flight breakfast, often served with potatoes, sausage, or roasted vegetables. Nostalgia. Omelet? Flight attendant, I'll take the Continental with pastries, toast and fresh fruit please. Then followed by Bedtime Care Bear make me fall asleep again.

You can order hot, readymade foods and/or grab a plastic bag and pick your seafood at the raw bar (an array of whole fish, fish fillets, squid, octopus, crab legs, squid, shrimp, lobster tails etc.). I picked out 4 squids and 6 scallops that ran me $21. They allow you to choose how the seafood will be cooked-- I fried my calamari and grilled my scallops. The fried calamari was the best calamari I've had. It was meaty inside and tender, with not too much breading, paired with yummy tartar sauce. Weirdly, when the scallops were served to me, there was 1-2 missing. Um ok? It was bathed in olive oil and was scrumptious. Overall, the seafood was super fresh and tasted amazing. I have to come back to try grilled octopus and whole fish! Also, the server lady was nice knowing it was my first time there, but as I was leaving the joint, she solicited me for tip, telling me that "tip was not included in the price paid". Weirded out, I gave her a $5 bill, and looked up the reviews of this place to find that sometimes the servers will approach you for tip and have even been known to chase you down the block if you leave without tipping. Super weird, but whatever, they work hard I guess. I'd come back... for now.
