Went for a quick snack and drinks with friends on a Friday night. The place was packed so we went to the back, by the bar. That was also packed but they set up a table for the three of us in the quieter hall to the side which was perfect for socializing without screaming. Our server was friendly and informative. He took our drink orders and we also got vegetarian dumplings and an order of tempura rock shrimps. My friend asked if the food could come quickly since she was very hungry. We got the drinks and the food came very fast. I tried one of the dumplings and it did not taste good to me. My friend ate them since she was hungry. Not sure if she liked them or not. I ate a few shrimps which were good. Our server informed us that Happy Hour is every day from 12-6 (or was it 7) if you sit in the bar area.

Went Saturday night for a friend's birthday dinner and had a great time. What a perfect place to start a girl's night out. I loved my dish the Thai Ginger Chicken. I also had the bok choy, tuna tartare and shishito peppers. All delicious. Food came out quick. Our waitress was very attentive, friendly and had great recommendations. They had great music playing, trendy and fun vibe. A great spot for 6+ parties.

Was pleasantly surprised, Jade has a great happy hour going on. Their signature lychee martini at $9 was strong and tasty! The HH menu is extensive with a wide variety of food: sushi rolls, tacos, wings with an Asian twist. There's something for everyone. The wings were tasty but kinda small. Just 3 wings on the plate. So be prepared. The ambience of the lounge is so cute! Great for date night or just a friend catch up. There's a bunch of tables in the back or you could sit at the bar to watch sports on the multiple TV's. Service is good and they even checked on us to make sure we got our drink order in before HH ended. Really appreciate that! Will definitely be back!

I LOVE LOVE this place! Ambiance is gorgeous! They have koi pond in main dining area where I am usually at. My non profit actually had our 10 year anniversary in the private area which I forgot to review. If not will write another review later. Tonight I met up a longtime girlfriend for happy hour. The happy hour is towards the back of the restaurant. I haven't been here in ages and now they have more tables with a pretty extensive HH menu for both drinks & food. We both got the lychee martini which was filled to the brim and not watered down! I was feeling pretty tipsy from the first but we decided to get another before the 7pm cutoff time and same as first one was filled to the brim and not watered down at all! We ordered shishito peppers, yellowtail roll, sriracha chicken wings, calamari which was all delicious imho! It was Wednesday night and packed! Maybe because of the holidays and/or HH so it was pretty packed & busy. I appreciatedtge waitress and bartender even though place was packed attended to our every need. Tip was included in tab and was celebratingmy friends birthday so I didn't mind tipping then with and additional $. Danny is the bartender and son of one of the co-owners who I met when we had my non-profit event in private room. I think the staff are great. So hardworking, nice and attentive to patrons. Definitely plan to return because it's just an amazing space with great food/drinks & staff.

Came here for resturant week with my finance. Ambience is a lot of fun, but loud. There was a DJ and it made it fun. The food is great and so are the drinks. Would come back.

Jades eatery was AMAZING, we came here for a birthday celebration and they did not miss. The waiters came out quickly with all the food and they made us feel great the whole time. We shared laughs with the staff the whole night. We came with a party of 20. The scenery was great they have a little fish tank in the middle of the floor which sets the tone. It's amazing here. I highly recommend if you're looking for an Asian cuisine

Came here on Mother's Day and it was so chaotic. With reservations some guest still had to wait 1 hr. I had reservations and arrived 30 minutes before. Waited online and was seated. The back of the restaurant was empty so unsure why guest weren't being seated (maybe not enough staff). For entree, I think I was turned off by the service so I only got drinks and edamame. The edamame took forever to come out because the waitress forgot it? It wasn't as tasty as I hope and a bit dried out. Drinks were good in my opinion as they were strong. Place is pretty large with a lot of seating for large groups. Not sure I would return though. Service was bad but not sure if it was due to the holiday rush.

Drinks: Lychee Martini - it wasn't too my liking. Could not taste the lychee just a lot of really strong gin. 6/10 Berry margaritas- 10/10 Appetizers: 1. edamame 10/10 2. Shrimp dumplings boiled 10/10 3. Fried calamari 6/10 - (too dry) , no marinara sauce Entrees: 1. sweet and sour chicken with white rice 7/10 2. Salmon tacos 5/10- could not taste the tacos. The were damn dear diced and had only a coal burnt smell It's very hard to ruin tacos but based on the fact that the salmon was so small and overcooked, it was like chewing on cardboard We ordered Thai rice with shrimp to take home. That appeared to be like rice biryani with pineapple, cashews, eggs and veggies. So good 10/10 Ambiance: Decor is a fusion of both Asian and Buddhist culture with murals and figurines to represent both. The open fish pond in the middle of the dining floor is an added touch. 10/10 I love that the bar and dining are intentionally separated, especially when the game is on so you can separate the loudness of the crowd. 10/10 Service: Overall the staff is attentive- constantly scanning the tables in their area to see if they can take dishes away or bring water etc. no complaints, asking about how the food is going and making solid recommendations. 10/1 We skipped the dessert and opted instead to grab dessert from a very popular local bakery instead ( see my review on that)

Lunch on a Monday afternoon before my medical appointment nearby in Forest Hills, Queens, NYC summons Asian cuisine. Upon entering at 1:29 pm I was informed "the kitchen is not open yet and right now we're only serving drinks and sushi." If the kitchen staff has not arrived to work, why open the restaurant early? I sat waited, waited and waited exactly as "Waiting for Godot," a play by Samuel Beckett to be provided menu and cold water as God's intervention as a woman dining alone again. The menus are hot electronic tablets in leather case. Yes, cold water is provided. Customer service did check-in during my meal consumption. Then I had to wait again when requesting change for singles and fives to break from a $20.00 bill. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 25% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. Customer service was fairly mediocre and the food is also mediocre for my dinning-in experience. Therefore, I paid $33.00 in cash for my $28.31 claim check/ restaurant bill. The decor is very lavish with a water fountain in the middle of the restaurant. There are large Thai Buddha statues, a wall of words of Asian cuisine/ Thai culture. Takeout menus are available, but for order pick-up for phone order. Business cards are available for grabs which is printed in gold foil stamping on 130 lb. card stock. I have always been enamored for paper and printing. Virgin Pina Colada $10.00 I was lured just like 'Will you walk into my parlour?' said the Spider to the Fly in "The Spider and the Fly" poem by Mary Howitt for this entrée and have buyer's remorse. This business surely do not have a blender as they use ice to concoct this frozen drink. Jade Eatery And Lounge advertised "full bar" when it does not have the resources of a blender to be an actual full scale bar. I actually taste the pineapple and coconut juices. I had better virgin pina coladas elsewhere where the ice was crushed. Thai Drunken noodles $16.00 Flat noodles, bell pepper, onion, scallion and basil with a spicy symbol for Scoville heat scale. I sorrowfully have buyer's remorse for ordering this entrée as it was one gargantuan mound of heavily greasy fried flat noodles pile. Jade Eatery did not concoct this traditional Thai entree to rank high on the Scoville heat scale. I was unable to finish this entrée due to the heavily grease, cholesterol and high saturated fat content intake and made me feel very bloated. Following my medical appointment, I visited the gym to expel by exercise to burn this unwanted high saturated fat content.

Nice looking spot on the inside with IG worthy picture walls. A nice pool of water in the middle which reminds me of Sea in Williamsburg but more intimate. I spoke to the waiter John I think; he mentioned it's an Indian Asian fusion which works out. Not too far from the train. I sat at the bar for happy hour and ordered the Kai Chi which is the lollipop wings with onions, scallion, cilantro, and garlic- it was good but not spicy. I also ordered the Rock shrimp which was also good, the Vegetables samosa, and the Spicy yellowtail; all were good. For entree I ordered the Lamp chops which came with rice and a cilantro and mint sauce for dipping. The lambs chops were good. For drinks I had the Blue Zentini and the Passionberry Margarita. The drinks were good but not really strong. My babe had the rum punch which John suggested and it was Rum punching. I would def reccomend this place for happy hour, lunch, and dinner. Meeting up with friends, family, or a date-it's good for every occasion. And they have a lot of specials.

Came for happy hour. There options for food on Happy Hour i think are good. We had Calamari, tacos and sushi. The Calamari and sushi were good. The steak taco was a bit salty. In terms of drinks, I wish they had more drink options I feel like most were vodka based it could be more balanced with tequila options. The service was slow it did get a little busy but at one point we quite literally had to look for the server to get our check. I didn't like that there was 2 of us and they added gratuity but it seems like a lot of places are starting to do that weirdly. But to my point service was terrible they didn't deserve 18% but it is what it is.

Jade Eatery & Lounge is an Asian- Fusion establishment in the Forest Hills section of Queens. We came here to have an early dinner before seeing Kaytranada in Concert at Forest Hills Stadium! Jade Eatery & Lounge is at the Forest Hills Inn (Apt. Complex) & is across the street from the Long Island Railroad's (LIRR) Forest Hills Station. It is also a few blocks away from the E,F, & M at the Forest Hills - 71 MTA Train Station. It is about a 3-min. walk to the Forest Hills Stadium which makes it convenient to dine at Jade before or after a show. When we arrived, we were immediately drawn in by the nice atmosphere. The establishment has a water fearure in the middle of the dining space, along w/ cool lighting & mural-type wall art. The hostess informed us that it was Happy Hour (yay!) but that we had to sit by the bar or in the lounge area. We opted to sit at the bar. Happy Hour Menu has $5, $6, $7 & $9 food & cocktail specials. The Wellness Drinks are $6, Wine - $5, Shots - $5, & Signature Cocktails are $9. We had the following from the Happy Hour Menu: Spicy Tuna Roll ($7) Jade Wings ($7) Vegetable Dumplings ($5) Chicken Dumplings ($6) Passionberry Margarita ($9) Lychee Martini ($9) We also ordered Thai Basil Fried Rice ($14) from the Entree Menu. Everything was flavorful and tasty. My favorites were the Chicken Dumplings & the Thai Basil Fried Rice paired well w/ the Jade Wings. Overall the food was good. The cocktails were prepared well. Jade Eatery & Lounge plays fantastic music. R & B, Pop, - Doja Cat, Keyshia Cole, etc. had us enjoying the music while equally enjoying our food & cocktails. Danny & other staff at the bar gave us good customer service, they were so kind & friendly. We also met other nice people at the bar that were eagerly anticipating the concert. Happy Hour is everyday from 12pm - 7pm. Jade Eatery & Lounge has a $18 Hour Course Lunch Special Mon. - Fri. - 12pm - 4pm. Bottomless Lunch - Mon. - Fri. - 12pm - 4pm. Website - jadeeatery.com Instagram - @jadeeatery Jade Eatery & Lounge is open everyday from 12pm - 11pm. When you Check-In on Yelp, the 10% discount promotion pops up on the screen. It can be redeemed when ordering from the regular priced menu (not on happy hour nor any other discounted specials). 20% gratuity is automatically included in your bill.

I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

Well, at least business was "Blooming" due to Mother's Day reservations…read more All jokes aside, I visited this restaurant yesterday for a Mother's Day brunch with a group of eight others. Our reservation had been confirmed the day before by both our host and the restaurant. When I arrived early, I was surprised to find the place jam-packed and clearly overcrowded. The front-of-house staff, along with the presumed owner, seemed overwhelmed and initially could not locate our 12:00 reservation. There were also guests with 11:30 and later reservations that were still waiting to be seated, along with several other groups scheduled around our time. After waiting nearly 50 minutes, talking with others who were also waiting, and watching two other tables be hastily set up and filled, we were finally seated. The table had been quickly wiped down and set with placemats, but it was missing silverware and several glasses. Most of this was resolved fairly quickly, though two people still never received glasses, with one person asking a few times for one. Our clearly overworked waitress brought us water and eventually took our order after a shorter additional wait. I ordered a $6 cappuccino, which was enjoyable, with a moderate amount of foam and a pleasantly bitter flavor without tasting over-roasted. However, another person's $4.50 iced coffee did not seem worth the price, as it appeared to be no more than a 12-ounce glass and was mostly filled with ice. Outside of coffee, the staff was understandably slow with water, with long waits, and we finally got a pitcher near the end of the meal. For my meal, I chose the $16 Poached Browns, which included two poached eggs, pulled pork, an English muffin, hollandaise sauce, and their Bloom hash. Many minutes later, and I mean many, the eggs were properly poached and were the highlight of the dish. The pulled pork, served without any additional sauce, was dry, and the small amount of hollandaise did little to help. The hash on the side lacked crispiness and vegetables, aside from what might have been a tiny piece of chopped yellow pepper. Overall, it was below average but passable. Two others ordered the Make Your Own Omelette for $19, which comes with a choice of three ingredients, the same hash, and bacon. They made two specific requests, both of which our waitress confirmed: first, that they did not want bacon, and second, that they could substitute fries for the hash--regular fries for one person and sweet potato fries for the other. Despite this, both plates arrived with bacon, as you can see in my first photo, where one of them transferred her bacon to my plate. The other person sent her plate back and ended up receiving her Mother's Day meal well after everyone else. The omelette also looked a bit more like a frittata, which I didn't mind. After waiting a while, including finally getting pitchers of water, we finally left after a long and annoying bunch. If this spot indeed had reservation issues, why on earth were they still allowing walk-ins? Why did they tell people it would take 15-20 minutes to seat when it would clearly take 30+? This entire experience was inept from beginning to end. The food this time is closer to a 2, but our experience as a whole was closer to a 1. I would never go back.

We tried to make reservations for 6:30pm, but it gave us an error message that the time had been taken already, so I was assuming that the restaurant would be packed, but it was the opposite when we walked in. There were only two other people there. So I would definitely look into their reservations system. For drinks, I went for the mango margarita. 10/10 recommend the drinks. My margarita was delicious. their cocktail menu looks super fun, they have drinks that come out in little bathtubs and cute presentations. For food, we shared the ahi tuna tostada appetizer which was so good! super fresh and flavorful. For our mains, I got the chicken al pastor tacos (loved the flavors, especially the avocado crema) and he ordered the carne asada tacos, which were also packed with flavor. Portion-wise, for the price, you get three tacos, so it felt very reasonable. The tacos were definitely a hit for both of us. The only small downside was the service towards the end. everything started out great, but once we were done, it took a while to actually get the check and pay. Kinda funny how it took longer to leave than it did to get served. Not a huge deal, but just something to keep in mind if you're on a schedule..they definitely don't rush you out. Overall great vibes, great food, great drinks. I would absolutely come back!

I hate to bring down a mom 'n' pop shop, but this place isn't very good. It's also kinda pricey for Forest Hills and for the quality you get. Sigh. The best dishes we got were the Oxtail Croquettes and the Crispy Salmon. Things started going downhill at the pretty but bizarrely flavored Forest Hills Roll, which inexplicably pairs salmon, tobiko, orange, chives, avocado sauce, and teriyaki mayo. I appreciate a creative/fusion roll, but salmon and orange should never, ever exist on the same plate. Ever. The worst item we got was the Chicken Udon. I'm not sure how aany Asian restaurant could mess up such a staple dish, but in Daikon's case, it's because they used Japanese SOUP udon, not stir-fry udon. As soon as the plate was set, I could tell it was the wrong type of udon, and the udon was massively overcooked. Yes, there are different types of udon and they are meant to be cooked in different ways. They are identifiable by their shapes, storage needs and preparation needs, a memo Daikon clearly missed. Points for loading the dish with veggies, but eating them within the soggy mess of udon was just unpleasant.
