Mimosa Mondays! Met up a girlfriend at Cafecito's newest brick and mortar location-- and they did not disappoint! Location a little congested at the moment because of construction but there's plenty of parking in the back (anywhere unshaded is fine- you've been warned lol). The cafe is spacious and beautifully decorated inside. Lots of light and pretty pinks everywhere. We sat at the bar for this visit and service was exceptional (I think our server/bartender was Margarita) she was so great! Food-- we ordered the carne con chile tacos & the sopes; everything was delicious! The carne con chile was so tender and perfectly spiced. I ordered some brisket tacos to go and I have to say the brisket is better than the barbacoa, so if you're on the fence, go with the brisket! Drinks-- we got the grapefruit mimosa and the Hugo spritz, the iced gansito & mazapan lattes; they were all really good. I am only deducting a star because I ordered a carne con chile sope to go, but it was left out of the order :( Despite that hiccup I still definitely recommend a visit here if you're in the area. It get super packed so plan ahead accordingly, or dine at the bar if it's just 2 of you ;-)

We came here for lunch on Labor Day and this place was poppin! We decided to sit at the bar and eat to avoid the wait. The bar area was cute and pink and very aesthetic. Their food quality still remains just as delicious as always. Their Grapefruit Mimosas are to die for and definitely a must try. Service is incredible, our waitress/bartender Margarita was the best. I will be returning for more mimosas soon!

Cafecito is such a great place to enjoy breakfast! Their café de olla is SO good--I can almost taste it just thinking about it! And don't forget to grab one of their delicious conchas. We had the chorizo burritos with their spicy red sauce, which are definitely a kids' favorite, and the eggs and potatoes with their green sauce, which are my husband's favorite, and ofcourse, their famous pink tacos The new location is beautiful and decorated so nicely with their signature pink theme. Everything feels welcoming and clean, and the restroom is always spotless. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. Definitely a place we enjoy coming back to for a delicious breakfast!

Stopped in for the first time to try their lunch menu! The options are endless! I saw chile rellenos to spaghetti verde. I had the pink sopes with brisket and bistek ranchero. I preferred the bistek ranchero protein. I asked for a side of crema for my brisket sope because it was a little bit dry and too salty but that's just my personal opinion. I will go back to try the pasta lunch. As always, the wait was worth it. Cafe de olla and pan dulce hit the spot for dessert. I noticed they are selling Carlotta de limón also as a dessert option. The server was attentive, and felt taken care of. I love coming here. I've been a fan since they started way back in the day and am very proud to be able to frequent their brick and mortar location. The ambience as laid back, a good place to bring any person visiting from out of town.

Very friendly staff & fast service! We came by because we wanted cafe de olla & breakfast! We ordered some coffee de oil and a concha, and that came out immediately. Our waitress was so friendly fast and very nice. It was easy and accommodating to bring my baby in the car seat. The restaurant is really cute, has lots of pink and really cute areas. The menu has tons of different types of food that all look great and are very unique. We split the breakfast burrito with potatoes and it came out so fast. The food was good and the service was amazing. Parking is on the street and around the businesses, not the easiest parking but worth the walk.

We visited Cafecito for breakfast, which is located on near Southside in the medical district. There is some road construction going on, but we found parking in the back fairly easy. My goodness, upon entry, you are engulfed in the pink theme and catcai patio area. We arrived early, around 9ish, and there was a good bit of folks and a steady stream of people coming in while we were there. They have some swamp coolers outside to keep it cool, and they were quite efficient. We had to change tables due to the force of the air coming out. Our server, Pedro, was friendly and attentive to our questions concerning the menu. We started out with Pan Dulce Basket, which contained Concha, Cuernito, Oreja, and Maranito. What a treat they were! Warm and fresh, full of flavor without being overly sweet. These would be worth the trip every time. For our meal, we had Chilaquiles, Concha French Toast, and Breakfast Tacos with pink homemade tortillas which I felt could have been a touch warmer an a little thick, overall the food was delicious, and the patio experience was awesome, to put it mildly. We had Vanilla and Abuelita's iced lattes with the meal. The parking is always tight in this area, so best to arrive early or enjoy walking the Magnolia area. It's pricey but worth it, especially if you enjoy authentic Mexican food with some creativity blended into the dishes.

Chilaquiles Verdes con Brisket. Flautas. Side of Spaghetti Verde

The food is always delicious and tastes so fresh. The chilaquiles can be spicy, I find the greens ones to be the least spicy. The pink ones are VERY VERY SPICY, so proceed ONLY if you have a high spice tolerance. There is almost always a wait due to how good the food it but it's worth ir in my opinion.

Today I went with my husband and friend to this place. Never have been! First off the service was amazing! Now to the coffee was very good I got Cafe De Olla! The flavor of this coffee was amazing! Then I had the Yogurt with granola. The fruits were fresh and the flavors were amazing! My husband had the Breakfast Relleno! He said it was great but definitely has some spice. Our friend got the French toast and loved that it wasn't too sweet! Now to the atmosphere it was great until more people came and then it was hard to hear! I wish there was a way for the atmosphere to be not so loud! Will definitely do outside when the weather is better! I'm

Parking is limited so park in front on the street or in the back of the building. When we got there, they were kinda busy on a Sunday around 11 o'clock. There was a 20 minute wait and they only give you a five minute grace period to show up I was two minutes late. They gave my table. The Host gave us the next available table, which only took a few minutes so be very prompt when they text you your table is ready. We started off with the Michelada and a cafecito martini. I had there huevos con jamón. And the Chilaquiles con barbacoa, and the friend had their Menudo, and he said it was delicious.

Super cute spot in Fort Worth! The service is great. I sat at the bar and got to see all the drinks being made. The food is decent, green salsa helps add some flavor to everything. I enjoyed the Picosa Y Peligrosa. The coffee drinks looked delicious. Recommend the queso!

First time at the newer location. Attending a graduation nearby, we had some time to stop in for breakfast, and I'm so glad we did! The service was sweet and welcoming, and we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. The cutest pink spot! We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area.

Cafecito is a great and friendly place! The atmosphere is so warm and cute (very pink and bright). The service was fast and good came out seconds after we ordered. The coffee is also so good and well balanced flavors. Would recommend and come back!

A local place that serves amazing Birria, count me in! We made our jaunt for a Friday lunch and they were busy. There's plenty of space here - they have both outdoor and indoor seating but given that it was still hot AF, most everyone was crammed inside. The menu is quite expansive. As I said, its birria galore. Usually when hit with this much goodness I try to default with some of the tried and true recommendations, so I opted for the Quesataco Combo: 3 birria and cheese tacos, with all the fixings. Amazing. decadent. delicious. Plenty of words to describe the great birria they dish out here. Happy to say Birrieria y Taqueria Cortez lives up to the hype and if you're like me and you love some birria, definitely give it a shot. We will be back to try some birria pizza or even the birria ramen. Can't go wrong here.

When I was on my birria kick I would drive from Arlington all the way here because no other place came close. The meat is full of flavor and spice and the conzume they bring out with it is just as good. Its full of spice and flavor and I straight up drink that by itself, i dip my tortillas with it. I usually put salt and lemon on the tortillas and then roll them up and dip em in the conzume. In the past, I had the ramen, the platillo, the tacos, and I think the quesabirria, they are all delicious but my favorite is the quesabirria and the tacos, followed by the ramen. The menu is small but just stick with the tacos or buy the meat by the pound, and you are good to go. The rice and beans are average but still good; the salsas they have on the table are amazingly delicious. The light green one is my favorite because is not too spicy but spicy enough to give me that kick am looking for in my food. I drown my food in that salsa sometimes and then dip in conzume. In the past, I also had their margaritas, and they are delicious! The mango with chamoy and Tajín on the rim is my favorite! They have a patio in the back with another bar and more Tv's. The staff is nice, but the last 2 times i been there it took over 10 minutes to just get a waiter to recognize i had not been help and place my drink order with them. I notice the staff tends to pay more attention to bigger parties instead of groups of just 1 or 2 customers. I like the atmosphere of this place; the music, the shows they have on the tv and the murals honestly make it feel cozy like I am visiting a family member. I don't come here when they have soccer games on or late at night on the weekends because the customers can get rowdy sometimes, and that's not my vibe. All the time I've been, they have a security officer so people don't get too out of hand. The parking lot is kind of small so if you come on a busy day/time, you might need to park across the street. I never had to wait long to get a table, and the staff is pretty quick about cleaning and turning tables over to keep the wait down.

To start the meal, they brought out an amuse-bouche that I can't remember the name of. It was a silky smooth creamy squash soup. I could have eaten a bowl of that and been satisfied! Soooo good! DRINKS: Zacatecas - Banhez Mezcal Joven, Guava Puree, Lime Juice, Chipotle Tamarind Syrup Not something I would typically order but it was smokey & complex. Carajillo43 - Licor 43, fresh espresso Perfect drink to end a great meal! APPETIZERS: Cazuela de Chorizo Housemade chorizo, bruleé panela cheese, oregano pickled onion, served with handmade heirloom blue corn tortillas. To make tacos. Best chorizo I have ever tasted! Made me change my mind about not liking chorizo. Guacamole So fresh and good! Served with heirloom house made blue corn tortillas. Nancy recommended we make tacos with chorizo & guac on them. They were good! Different from your typical tex mex served with chips. (This is not a Tex Mex place). They serve a red and green salsa. Both good. Red was mild in spice level and green was hot. MAIN: Codorniz en Mole Poblano Texas quail stuffed with a creamy pecan almond rice, house made mole poblano, oven roasted potatoes, queso fresco, toasted pumpkin seeds. DESSERT: (got two to split between 6 people. Just wanted a taste). Tres Leches del Desierto - my fav of the two! Deconstructed tres leches with ammonite-shaped ice cream and berries. Encuentro de Chocolate - very rich Chocolate sphere cake filled with chocolate mousse, finished with a chocolate glaze, served with beet-ancho chile foam We are all stuffed, happy, & look forward to going back! We were over dressed but there were some really casually dressed people so I'd say just come hungry or sort of hungry. I had seen all the buzz about the fried cactus and as someone who has grown up eating all my life I was intrigued on how this would be any different. Boy was I wrong. In fact, I would be happy enough just coming and eating only this. I have some sort of food limerence where I cannot stop thinking about this. Like daily! I want it so bad. No it was a whole experience because waiter placed this bowl towering with a mountain of curly crunchy ribbons. He kindly gave us his advice on the best way to eat it. You take their fresh made blue corn tortilla, pile on the cactus, don't be shy, if it fits in your mouth just go for it, then that green sauce was heavenly. All the flavors combined made me levitate. That would've been embarrassing. You could easy fill up on this alone given enough time and privacy. I just wanted a moment alone to enjoy fully ha ha. I then ordered the Chile en Nogada and the picture alone was enough for me to go yes we're on our way immediately. However listen I am a self proclaimed gift wrapping queen. I know a good ribbon and a good bow. I know that the typical dish has a bow - yes a fabric bow but this bow was not up to the standard of this restaurant, unfinished edges, and the color satin gold was not really representative of the environment. Good thing the bow is not edible but visually it could use a little improvement. The dish itself was 4 out of 5 for me only because I have had this dish before at a more casual space and every component of the dish was full flavored, where this one feels a bit safe. For dessert I was a little unimpressed with the options. I am not a fan of tres leches so I did not order their most famous desert but instead opted for another one that was a pastry with ice cream on top. I also give it 4 out of 5 its needing more flavor and sweetness, I mean this is dessert. The five stars is more for the service. Our server was amazing. He described every dish we ordered as if we were watching a Netflix documentary of a chef competition and they just submitted their dish. The table next to us got an amuse bouche compliments of the chef and I didn't want to be too nosy and peek over so I have no idea what it was. I was really hoping we'd get one too because honestly I was still hungry after all that. Oh cocktails. We ordered a drink before our table was available and I was not playing. I remember ordering a glass of bubbly rose and when our server brought it he served me a sip and had me try it before I decided, but honestly I wanted to tell him that I couldn't feel my face just pour it.

As for my meal, I tried the mushroom, shrimp, and pastor tacos. The pastor was underwhelming, and the shrimp was overcooked.
