This was a nice find on my trip to St. Augustine Beach. I got the cesear salad chicken wrap, which was delicious. The tortilla was half baked/half friend and was the perfect texture. The salad was fresh and the sauce was just the right amount. I also got a free fresh smoothie courtesy of my yelp check in! The place seems to function as a mini concert venue with a large portion of the restaurant set up with a stage. The staff were friendly and they had their own parking which was a huge plus as I just walked over to the beach right after eating. I'd definitely come back here if I'm in the area. read more

Cheerful little breakfast place! Cara was our waitress, she learned my name and was very charming. Breakfast was delicious. My mom had pancakes, they were huge and fluffy. The outside is deceiving. It appears to be the standard greasy spoon. I was pleasantly surprised. The decor announced something different the moment I opened the door. There is an artsy, clean vibe that blends well with the ocean atmosphere and elevates Cafe 11 instantly from it's peers. The staff was friendly and the place was spotless. I swung through the day after Christmas for a much needed breakfast. I ordered the special Pumpkin Pancakes, a side of bacon, and coffee. The coffee is provided in a self-service bar while espresso is provided for counter service. There were several yummy blends of the regular joe to choose from. The French Roast was nice and toasty. My pumpkin pancakes came out almost instantly as did the most divine bacon I have ever eaten. The pancakes were dense with a bit of spice and were served pre-drzzled with something like liquid heaven (I'm sure it was a cinnamon infused syrup, though). The bacon was crisp, warm, and paper thin served in a portion that I can appreciate- a healthy 5 slices. I loved my food! The only thing keeping this place from 5 stars is the counter-ordering. I feel that a joint that wants to go as classy as this one seems to should invest in the staff to serve it. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch. I like that fruits are used for the smoothies and seemed likewise for the Taro bubble (ordered without bubble for us). Different than what we're used to back home but decent! Pretzel bread with beer cheese is a smashing start. The bruschetta salad is tasty and smokey. Mac and cheese is a big serving of super cheesy. The apple turkey sandwich is thanksgiving on a bun. Yiiiiikes the staff! Went up front to order from a girl w/dreadlocks who seemed annoyed to be there and annoyed to be taking our order and answering any questions about the menu. At a point she was so miserable and cold my friend and I had to giggle due to pure awkwardness. There was also a lady in a blue shirt barking (literally) out the orders who had the same kind of attitude. She would also aggressively stomp up the stairs to the buffet area whenever she walked up. They both seemed so unhappy. Food was ok-- my boyfriend had the Italia sandwich I had steak salad and friend had breakfast buffet. The sandwich was good but nothing out of the ordinary, we joked it was similar to Wawa paninis. Stumbled into this place looking for a simple egg breakfast, walked out with a new fave. First off the vibe is amazing, feels like you are walking into a friends house. Friendly staff, music posters on the wall, simplistic yet a kick back and relax atmosphere. You order your food at a counter and it is brought to your table, in our case lickety split, that means fast.... I got the egg sandwich with the swiss cheese and olive spread on ciabatta bread, EXCELLENT. My wife got the pancakes, I gotta say the recipe for those are a keeper, large, moist, and fluffy. The staff were extremely friendly and worked as a team. Wish I had found this my first day of visiting rather than my last. We visit St Augustine only a couple of times a year and always look forward to eating at Cafe 11 during our stay. Today I had the Avocado Melt and my husband had the Vermont sandwich, both were so yummy. The beer selection is good and their coffee is worth the visit alone. I was very disappointed as we had two salads and an iced t for lunch and was $23. My Caesar salad with a few pieces of chicken was over $10 and was like a side salad you'd have with dinner. Friendly staff greet you and tell you to order at the counter and then find a table. What gets me is they want a tip. All they do is bring your food out. No one checked back on us and no refill on our drinks. I left $3 on top of the $23 for two small salads. I really wish I hadn't as there was no service that deserved gratuity. This would be a more enjoyable experience if they waited on you properly and upped the portion for $10 salads. Come on you guys lettuce is not that expensive. Will never return. read more

My sister and I stopped by Cafe Eleven after reading so many positive reviews and seeing the great variety of bubble tea and smoothie bowl options. Unfortunately we were greatly disappointed with both as well as the customer service.. I got a Taro bubble tea and the tapioca pearls were rock hard and the drink itself was overly sweetened. My sister got a Berry Breakaway smoothie that tasted like straight orange juice. We asked if the açaí bowl had genuine açaí in it since it wasn't on the list of ingredients and sometimes companies do not use real açaí.. and the lady behind the counter responded as if we had just insulted her saying "obviously." To which I clarified that it was not listed on the ingredients unlike the Banana smoothie options clearly stating banana was in them... She replied "well that should be implied" and rolled her eyes. She was very unnecessarily rude as it was a genuine question and the overall environment was very strange. Would not recommend. read more

Initially, Cafe Eleven gives off kind of a "local" vibe, however, after an hour wasted here, their breakfast buffet gives off a more touristy flavor. It is a Floridian tourist trap with drunken locals to make you feel at home. If you feel like being berated by a girl with the most unkempt dreads I have ever seen, this is the breakfast spot for you. My kids could not even eat the sausages because they were so greasy. Only redeeming qualities were the pancakes, and the coffee. Drink serving sizes are small. Overall, do not recommend. I would rather pay a St. Augustine parking ticket than come here again. read more

Came for breakfest...Bustling place, be aware of your table when the sever calls it out and sit down. my wife left stuff on a table and some random person still came and sat down and argued that it was his table. The waitstaff (victoria), counter staff, and the hostess all came and apologized as we sat at an alternative table. The rudeness of the other customer was lessened by the politeness of the staff. If yelp would allow a zero we would have left that instead of a 1 star. We had the brunch buffet and the food was horrible. The eggs looked like they we sitting in the tray for a week. We had to wait for them to replenish some of the foods. The area where the food was set up was dark and hard to see. We spent $36 and could have had a better breakfast at a McDonalds. My husband and I recently took a trip to St. Augustine and were excited about Cafe Eleven because we could walk to it from our hotel for breakfast. We both got a Frozen Chai Latte, which was on the expensive side, but was understandable. It was pretty good. For our meal, since it was the weekend, our only option was the breakfast buffet. The room was considerably small for it being in a popular area for locals and tourists. We were barely able to find a small seat, let alone one that was maybe a foot away from the next table. The setup didn't feel like a restaurant, more of a last minute decision to throw a buffet at the end of the room. There were maybe seven food items to pick from, like bacon, sausage, and scrambled eggs (just like you would find at a free continental breakfast at a hotel). The food was average, however my favorite item was the French Toast bites, they were sugary and gooey. After leaving the restaurant, we weighed the pros and cons and decided the cost was way too much for the quality of the food. In the end, we did not return for breakfast (or any other meal) the rest of our stay. I would only recommend the weekend buffet to someone who has a lot of money to throw down for breakfast and isn't looking for quality food. read more
