I stopped by this location while I was in Torrance checking out some of the newer coffee shops along the main street, and that's how I ended up visiting Cafe Dulce. I've actually known Cafe Dulce for a long time. I remember going to their Downtown LA location years ago and didn't have the best experience back then, so I honestly didn't have high expectations this time. But this turned out to be the best Cafe Dulce I've ever visited. I ordered an espresso, an iced Americano, and a cortado, and all three drinks were excellent. I also visited twice recently in the evening, and both times the same female barista prepared my drinks. She seemed very passionate about coffee, and you could really tell she paid attention to every detail in each cup. Out of all the Cafe Dulce locations I've tried, this one is definitely the best. And among the coffee shops along this main street, this is the one I'd recommend the most. read more

Cute little place to meet up with friends or study! PEANUT ALLERGY WARNING: THE MISUGARU HAS PEANUTS IN THE FLOUR. Came on a Tuesday morning around 9 am and while it wasn't packed, the two workers were busy getting everyone's orders ready. I would have done the kiosk order, but I needed to check to see if what we were ordering had peanuts. Good thing I checked. I asked the worker if the misugaru had peanuts in it and he said he didn't think so. GOOD THING I ASKED HIM TO CHECK THE INGREDIENTS bc he came back and said that there indeed was peanuts in the powder! Ordered 2 Nutella and one red bean Obang Tteok- they came out piping hot and are soooooo good. Be careful to not burn your finger or mouth when you bite into them. They're crunchy on the outside, chewy and sweet on the inside. Got one of the breakfast sandwiches, which was sort of plain and had too much brioche bun. Would not order again. After seeing some social media marketing for this spot, I finally caved to come try it out. Luckily I live pretty close by, so I decided to come and do some studying here. The inside of the cafe is pretty nice, as the colors and aesthetic were pleasing. The placement of the menu was very odd, I was unable to locate it until I sat down after ordering... I only knew what to order because I looked online ahead of time. They also do include a touch screen kiosk you can order from. The menu is on the right side of the wall when you walk in, after the kiosk. They had a smaller menu of the sandwiches on top of their bakery display. Which was pretty empty when I got there around 2 and they never made more by the time I left so I'm left to assume the bakery items are morning only items. They have their own restroom, there's plenty of parking in the plaza. I thought the customer service was odd. I ordered with the cashier, nothing crazy. Not overly friendly or anything. After I ordered, the two workers were talking the entire time, at a pretty loud level for me know the details of their conversation which was also filled with foul language. It was not pleasant to hear... as I understand people talk at work, this just felt more disturbing. It also bled into dealing with other customers and I overhead the cashier say "oh I knew you didn't f*** with a sweet matcha" and it was clear these 2 did not know each other personally. The overall experience of sitting there to study and overhearing such interesting things was not something I was expecting. I ordered the cream cap latte I believe is the name and it tasted burnt. Really bad. I was so frustrated because it felt like I kept getting bad coffees from everywhere-- that burnt coffee taste seems so common I don't know how it occurs but it was unpleasant. I did not ask for a remake because I didn't want to come off as a Karen or something, but it genuinely was so bad, I drank maybe 20% of it and threw the rest away. So I wasted $7. Honestly this is not a coffee shop I see myself coming back to unfortunately. At least I was able to try it. read more

Came here with my girlfriends for the first time and we thought it was cute cafe. Had huge tables and nice decor. Staffs were very friendly and tried the Hoiji cha latte for the first time. My second time at cafe dolce and I came with a friend to do our studying on a Saturday morning. Pretty busy but we managed to grab some seats. They do have outlets if you bring your laptop. I ordered their pesto Danish and a hojicha latte. One of the best hojicha latte I've had in terms of it actually having a strong hojicha taste. Typically when i order one its super sweet and the hojicha is faint but this one is super smoky and nutty, love it! Will be coming here for it :) read more

I came to check this place out one Friday afternoon. It wasn't super busy there were a few parties at the tables. The place was moderately sized with various sized tables. Additional seating can be found outside. It is a good place to study or hangout. We opted to order from the kiosk on side when you walk in. Though you can definitely order at the counter in the back. I tried the matcha latte with oat milk and got a 3 piece Obangtteok with red bean filling. There was an additional filling options such as Nutella or get them plain with no filling. Our drinks took around 5-10mins to prepare while Obangtteok took a little longer around 15-20mins. The matcha latte was good but alittle on the sweeter side. I think you can modify the sweetness, which I probably will the next time I come. The Obangtteok was the highlight. It was warm and right amount of crispy on the outside. Inside was fluffy and paired well with the red bean filing without it being super sweet. Overall a pretty standard cafe. One of the cutest coffee shops I've been to! When you walk in, the strong aroma of beans and baked pastries will hit you right away! The whole shop smelled so delicious! You can place your order at the counter or there is also a kiosk to place your order on your own. Their espresso was alright I found it to be on the bitter side with a sour after taste. Both decaf and caffeinated. Therefore the affogato was a perfect combo bec you can mask the sour after taste coffee with the icecream. Their affogato here is huge! I'm sure to a small cup with a shot of espresso and a small scoops of ice cream. Here, it's more like a cup of icecream serving and a shot of espresso poured on top on your own! Their ice cream is delicious so I'm not complaining at all! I also got the 'spresso highball, which I thought was so clever and tasted refreshing but still retains that coffee taste. It was pretty strong but citrusy! I think it's the best post meal drink! People who like the more green coffee bean taste will like the espresso here. As mentioned in previous reviews - there have been several coffee shops popping up along the South Bay. Three of them are on this street. Now this may sound controversial, but this is the best one. The atmosphere is very welcoming with ample seating inside, and patio seating. Additionally, the baristas are all very sweet and caring. I've had nothing but wonderful interactions with all of the staff members who ensure that the drinks are prepared fresh and to your liking. That alone is what makes this Cafe Dolce stand out from over half of the coffee shops on this side of town. I tried a couple of their drinks (by the way, they offer a great mix of traditional and fun drinks): - Cream cap latte - which is sweet cream mixed with two shots of espresso. I really enjoy this one. It's strong and remind's me of Flat White's Einspanner. - matcha smash - I was very spectical on this drink. Its matcha with citrus lemon mixed with mint. and I think club soda or mineral water (correct me if I am wrong here). This was surprisingly delicious and perfect for heatwaves and summer drinks. - hot matcha latte - my friend and I got to try this when we were catching up on life and it was delicious and the person who made the drink had the perfect latte art and it made me happy. thank you : ) They also have fresh pastries including this one that was like a bagel but it was croissant - I want another one as I am typing this review. Now, there was a yelper who said that drip coffee is $3.50 for 4oz. Sadly California is expensive now. Drip coffee for $3.50 is actually on the cheaper end considering drip coffee at other places are $4.50 - $5. 3.5 stars rounding up to 4. Love how this cafe has a lot of seating inside and it's a fairly quiet space to get some work done or meet up with a friend. The space is clean and brightly lit. They have a variety of coffee drinks and tea drinks on their menu as well as a few caffeine-free kid friendly options which I appreciated. I got the Cream Cap which is their iced americano with house-made cream on top. I also got a misugaru smoothie for my daughter. Both drinks were okay but not amazing. The cream cap was a little more acidic and not as smooth as I expected. Next time, I want to try one of their matcha drinks. They also sell some pastries and sandwiches. If I'm comparing the drinks alone, I'd prefer Chrome Coffee down the street but this space has its own charm with more of a stay and study kind of feel. Service was fine, no complaints. This cafe is incredibly cute and cozy. I would love to come back and read or work on my laptop because the seating looks so comfortable and the atmosphere is so welcoming. The employees are also very friendly. I ordered a hot vanilla latte and they use a homemade vanilla flavoring, and it was delicious! It is not too sweet, and it does not have that weird artificial flavoring that big chain coffee places have in their flavored drinks. I can't wait to go back to try more of their offerings! There have been so many new cafes popping up in the South Bay and I'm always up for trying a new cafe - especially in our area! Right when you walk in, CAFE DOLCE gives off the most friendly, welcoming vibes. The cafe is bright, clean, and very inviting. I have never walked into Cafe Dolce without someone greeting me with a smile. My first time here, I couldn't decide what to get because their coffee looked delicious, but I also love my matcha. great cafe in a great location. huge parking lot which is convenient. the inside is cute, with a large amount of seating, but it was busy throughout the day (sunday). many people were here to study or to spend time with friends/family. it's a great space for studying with comfortable seating, but one downside is there were only two visible outlets which are not as accessible unless you have those two specific spots nearby so be mindful of that. we placed out orders on the kiosk which was convenient, and the drinks came out quick. the matcha is on the weaker side, with the base of the sweetener somewhat pushing through more stronger than the matcha itself. the matcha was simple, not much complexity to it. the color is great but didn't taste very impressive. the notella latte was great, however. it had that expected nutella taste to support the espresso - a great pairing. it didn't feel heavy with chocolate, and i ended up finishing it quick. they have two single restrooms which is convenient and clean. they have free wifi which is always a plus. overall, a great place to visit for longer periods of time or for a quick treat. read more

First time trying this new shop and I'm glad I did. There is plenty of parking and very inviting storefront. The inside is spacious and welcoming with lots of seating and places to work. There was no greeting when walking in but the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their menu items. I usually order a quad on ice but today I decided to order the espresso highball with an added shot. Its actually incredibly tasty! I want to chug it. My little one and I stopped into this cafe on a Sunday afternoon. No line despite the shop being busy, just pop your order in the kiosk, pay, and wait a few minutes for your drink. The system seemed very simple and streamlined. We tried: - Spanish Latte: A classic made well. Espresso, made creamy and sweet, with a healthy sprinkling of cinnamon. The flavor was mild, not overly sweetened with syrups to mask the espresso. Everything was really balanced and pleasant. - Vanilla Moo-Shake: They managed to really capture the richness of a milkshake with this one. It literally tasted like a melted vanilla shake. Super sweet and the vanilla sauce they use was not messing around. So delicious. I was looking for my coffee fix this morning in Torrance. There's a bunch of coffee shops here. But I saw this one and based on their menu they had a lot of teas and smoothies and pastries on top of their lattes and coffees. Its in a nice size strip mall. With plenty of parking (Friday morning). There's seating outside as well as plenty of seating inside. Its a nice place to either have a conversation with a friend, read a book, study or do some work or just chill. I love the vibes here. We ordered an ube iced latte as well as a mango smoothie. Our Barnstable was super nice and friendly. The drinks came out quickly. We really enjoyed what we ordered. Not crazy sweet. You can taste the ube and the mango. Very refreshing. There has been a lot of coffee shops opening up in South Bay. I have tried like 5 new places in the last few months but this place takes the prize in terms of friendly service. The lady at the register was so kind and she even brought the coffee out to where I was waiting. They not only served coffee, pastries, but also ice cream. My bff had her children with her and they got some ice cream so a little bit of everything for every one. I went on a random weekday afternoon and the place was so packed with patrons. I believe it is Korean owned and you can tell many locals young and old visit. They have games inside so they don't mind if you stay long. A super welcoming store and kind to my pup. This was my first time visiting after they recently opened, and I was pleasantly surprised. The coffee had a rich flavor, and I loved that after 7PM they offer a 50% discount on their pastries -- such a great deal! The pastries themselves were fresh and delicious, and I was happy to see that they also sell Häagen-Dazs ice cream, which made it even better. The interior was modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed, creating a comfortable atmosphere! We came in a little late, close to their 8:30 closing time, but the staff kindly allowed us to stay a bit longer, which we really appreciated. Being a big coffee connoisseur, I was so excited to see the sign that Cafe Dolce is now open! Located in the same plaza as Jang Su Jang, this new coffee shop is currently in their soft opening phase. Their hours for now is 8am to 8pm daily (subject to change). I was excited to check this place out that I ended up getting there a bit early today around 7:30am. They weren't quite open yet but the owner/barista was so kind and opened up early when he saw me waiting. This new spot is so cute and welcoming. One wall has a colorful artwork painted by artist and illustrator @rfx.one. They have lots of seating featuring comfy straw chairs and tables with fresh flowers. The soft menu consists of a variety of coffee drinks from drip coffee to cappuccinos and lattes. They've also got teas and smoothies. For food they have pastries from baked bar LA. In the afternoon they offer ice cream treats. I spotted an ube latte ($6.50) on the menu and being the big ube fan that I knew right away that I wanted to order this. I also got a drip coffee with vanilla bean syrup for my mom ($3.50), a cinnamon twist ($4) and a chocolate hazelnut almond croissant ($7). Both of the coffee drinks were excellent. In chatting with the owner/barista he told me he really wants to provide quality coffee drinks. The vanilla bean syrup is freshly made in house and I was so impressed when I tried my mom's drip coffee. It had just the right sweet hint of vanilla. My ube latte was equally as good. It has that ube flavor and made for a perfect pair for the pastries. I enjoyed the cinnamon twist pastry. This was one huge piece and great with coffee. The chocolate hazelnut almond croissant was also delightful. It had the perfect flaky exterior and sweet dark chocolate paste interior. Food and drinks were definitely on point here. I was also impressed with the service. The owner was so nice and I enjoyed learning about his vision and hearing about future plans which include offering breakfast foods and more desserts in the future. You can definitely tell his heart is in this and he wants to offer the best coffee and food experience to his customers. Today was a wonderful first visit. Tucked away in a small place wiith two other korean eateries, this new café has already made quite the entrance. It was nearly at full capacity when I stopped by on a Sunday around noon, impressive, considering it's a fairly spacious spot with plenty of seating and a few cozy tables outside for those who prefer their lattes with a side of sunshine. The space is bright, airy and on the minimalistic aestethic side. I ordered an iced matcha latte, and I'm happy to report that it was no faint, milky imitation - the matcha actually stood its ground and shone through. My drink was handed to me quickly, which only added to the experience... There's nothing like having to wait 30 min for simply a drink. I can easily see this place becoming a go-to for student, remote workers or anyone looking for a calm corner to chat with friends while sipping on their favourite drink. Perfect picture of a go-to neighborhood coffee shop! Plenty of seats and parking spaces (plus plus points in LA!), chillin' vibes with not overwhelming background music, super sweet barista, and obviously most important - DELIGHTFUL COFFEE! Their cutesy wall decoration and setting were the first to hook me, but the fact that they carried Little Marionette coffee certainly made it more appealing. I loved Little Marionette as its beans surely reminded me of the coffee I got in Aussie, which I still thought as the country carrying my most favorite cups of joe. Obviously it went back to preference, but mine was non-acidic with bold aroma and smooth finishing. I was pleased by the flavor play Cafe Dolce brought into its menu as it's offering fun one like Ube. I got mine hot and absolutely loved it. It came sweetened just at the level I precisely fancied, and the ube taste wasn't overwhelming, still let the coffee gots its spotlight. They're still on soft opening but the opening hour was pretty long, reaching 8pm in the evening so you could get your pick-me-up until pretty late. They also served pastries from Baked Bar, one of my favorite bakeries in town. Prolly room for improvement was if they could get the pastries warmed-up pre-serving given it must have been staying there for awhile on the showcase.
