It took about 15 mins to be seated & probably about the same amount of time for anyone to come get our drink and another 15 for food orders. The staff looked slammed so it was understandable. The kitchen must of been backed up as well since food took a while to come out. When food did come out, it was good. There wasn't anything to write home about. Went out of a late night eats and this coffee shop was the only one open at The Row. Because of this reason, there was a bit of a line, but it wasn't a long wait to get a table. We were seated with a good view of all the people walking by. Great for people watching while we waited. Not so great for privacy. The service was slow. Servers seemed to have big sections with lots of tables to take care of. When our server finally came to the table, he was very friendly! I got steak and eggs and my husband got nachos. My steak was pretty dry and cooked a little more than I had ordered. The nachos were great! Lots of toppings, so each chip wouldn't be "naked." Newly renovated restaurant at Silver Legacy. Childhood Core memory unlocked coming here. I remember this place was open 24 hours and whenever we'd come to Reno regardless of the time of day, we would have our first meal here. We dined in on a Friday evening and the wait wasn't too long. They have American, Asian, and Italian cuisine. We ordered the Vietnamese crispy chicken plate, and the wonton pho. The servings are huge! service took a little bit long but the bussers were really quick. My parents also come to eat oatmeal here in the mornings and get regular breakfasts. I was staying at the Silver Legacy Casino for a bowling tournament and had seen this location and decided to try it on the day I was ready to check out. I was immediately seated and greeted by my waiter stating he would be with me in a moment. It appeared that he might have been the only one attending to tables. But he was real quick to return and take my drink order and food order. I decided to try their California Omlet that was served with toast & hashbrowns. Everything was prepared very quickly and seasoned properly. My waiter was friendly and professional and the placed appeared to be clean. I was staying at Silver Legacy and this place was downstairs near the lobby so I ordered it via room service. I got the 2 eggs any style over medium with a side of hash browns and 2 sausages. Also came with sourdough toast. I also asked for extra condiments and napkins. Took about 20 minutes. When it arrived it was still very warm. Everything tasted very good and they even gave me my extra condiments which many places never do. One problem though...they gave me bacon instead of sausage. I didn't bother to complain because I was on a tight schedule and didn't want to wait. Other than that everything was fine. Reasonably priced too. If I stay at Silver Legacy again I'd order from there and hopefully they'll give me what I paid for. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in silver legasy a d they open most of the time for me 6 20am for breakfast till 11 30pm at night. They might be open 24hrs. Getting seated and in the restaurant was also quick, in addition to getting our food. When I was here sadly their waffle maker was broken. So it limited what I really wanted to try, which was their cheddar bacon waffle. Instead I order their country fried steak, with fried eggs, hash browns, and toast. Biggest issue was the food was so bland. I have never had a white gravy without the taste of pepper, or sausage, or even a lack of savoryness as this. Our server was Tyler. He didn't place the silverware on the table properly, gave us the bill before bringing the food, we asked for a to go box and didn't bring it and seemed unhappy while he was serving our table. I understand that he might been upset because was new years but he at least show some etiquette during his job. It's basically a coffee shop, across the walkway from Ramsey's Kitchen. My entire bill for 2pp this am was less than one of last nights appetizers! Carafe of coffee, so no waiting for refills. Lady is smiling even though it's only 7am. She's been back to my table 4-5 times even though the rest of the staff is hanging out at the podium sneaking sips of coffee from their sips under the counter. I usually don't like to order Chinese food at a casino but when I'm staying at SL I like the Chinese food here Mongolian Beef- big serving, beef was tender, seasoned perfect and the best part is it comes in a bed of crispy noodles which you don't see anymore at regular Chinese restaurant. This was a nice little café that was located inside our hotel. We ate here one morning for a quick breakfast. This place gets quite busy and we were in line for a while before we got seated. The service was really nice. The servers checked on us often. We both got breakfast items. My boyfriend got some pancakes And I got some French toast with eggs and sausage. Everything was delicious. I do wish they gave us a little more eggs and sausage with the meal. I recommend trying this place. But I would expect to be waiting possibly 20-30 on a busy day to get seated. The place was a decent size and the chairs were comfy. Nothing special stood out to me about the place but it is a Cafe in a hotel. I notice on a lot of the tables they didn't have a chance to refil a lot of the sugars/condiments etc. on the tables, but the waiters were happy to bring over any extras you may need. It did get a bit loud in there at times but that's because you are sitting near a main walkway of the hotel while you are eating. Gayle and I arrived at St. Mary's Hospital at around 6:30 AM to drop off her Mother for hip replacement surgery. After Gayle participated in the intake process, both of us headed off on foot looking for a breakfast place. It was cold and icy, so we headed to the nearest (and safest) opportunity - Circus Circus. Actually, Circus Circus is part of "The Row", which includes easy straight line access to their sister Silver Legacy and El Dorado casinos (all owned by Caesars Entertainment). It's been years since I've walked into a Downtown Reno Casino, and although the associated section of Virginia Street is still a bit hinky, both Gayle and I were impressed with the modern and clean touches of all 3 gambling halls. We both remembered when Circus Circus seemed a little more tattered many years ago. However, the one big surprise was that (probably due to Covid), the whole complex felt deserted, with most of the morning dining choices closed. So it was almost by default (and by asking for directions) that we found Cafe Central, located with the Silver Legacy. Gayle and I had a nice meal here and since the place wasn't that busy, we hung out for awhile longer as there was no rush to get back to the Hospital. Service was friendly and prompt, and the place seemed welcoming and comfortable. With our coffee, Gayle enjoyed her eggs and sausage (with a generous portion of hash browns), while I only finished half of my 2 huge pancakes, but had no problem chowing down on my scrambled egg and sausage choice that was part of the combo. I don't order pancakes (or french toast) often and it's mostly because it's just too much food, as much as I enjoy it. The view of the casino floor was nice, but it also reminded me that unless I'm here incidentally for something else (like today or maybe a show), I wouldn't be here. Came here for a quick breakfast at 8am on a Monday. Not many choices in the Silver Legacy itself, and this was the one we chose. Setting is easy to find, right off the main pathway between The Row casinos, and lots of seating. Was not busy at all, so we were quickly seated. A server took our drink orders, and then Olga our main server took our food orders. They have a typical menu, which for breakfast includes a lot of variations of meats and eggs along with hash browns and toast. They also offer an eggs benedict, waffles, French toast and pancakes as well. So, a little something for everyone. We ordered the California omelet, with tomatoes, onions, avocados and green onions, and hash browns as well. My choice of toast was the English muffin. We also ordered the Joe's special, with seasoned ground beef, mushrooms, spinach, onions and scrambled eggs. Muffin also! The food came quickly and was nicely plated. The omelet was a little denser than I expected, as if blended together then cooked, not the usual fluff and fold you expect from an omelet. The hash browns on both our orders were very crispy, almost charcoal in some places - the pics should show this. The Joe's special was tasty, moist and well-seasoned. As for the coffee and iced tea, the iced tea was almost all ice (again, I think photo shows this) and was difficult to stir in sweetener - couldn't get all the ice moving around without a tidal wave effect! And the lemon wedge had the thickest rind I have ever seen! Again, see photo (I'm pushing for you to make your own judgments today!). It was impossible to bend or squeeze, so no lemon juice for my tea. Didn't feel like asking for another slice - I'll survive! Olga was very efficient and friendly, and overall, food wise it was an okay breakfast. For about $20 each (drink included) I would not come here just for the experience, but considering the location and the convenience, it was doable. read more

We had a late dinner at Central Cafe on the 17th of July. Broccoli Beef and War Wonton Soup. Both dishes were okay but not great. Portions were good but flavor was lacking. What was more disappointing was the service. Our waitress Marie was technically sound, she took our order, delivered our food and gave us our bill. She even bragged about her tenure with the company which was over 30 years, that she only worked 2 to 3 days a week now and that she had never been written up. Needless to say I am surprised that she has never been written up and I am surprised at her service. We had to ask her multiple times for water refills and that for me is a no go. If my glass is empty fill it up. Seems easy to me. Another thing, if I'm finished eating and my plates are pushed away, take them away. I don't need to sit there and look at dirty dishes while I enjoy my beverage. The icing on the cake was when she dropped the bill off. We were still eating but yet she kept coming by to see if we were ready to pay. We were made to feel uncomfortable and felt harassed on how we were going to pay and when. She even went so far as to come back over and tell us she was going home and inferred we should tip her now and she said that if we were going to tip in cash and leave it on the table then don't bother leaving it at all. I have never had a server say something like that to us. Very inappropriate behavior to us and a very disappointing experience. 30 plus years working there, she still needs some coaching for success. read more
