(Food: 05.21.26; I ordered pan cakes scramble eggs w/bacon, pancakes nice and hot, eggs cold and over cooked. 05.22.26; Cinnamon Toast, cold would not melt the butter. 05.23. 26, order the Loaded BBQ Pull Pork Baked Potato with cheese and sour cream. A red flag should have went off when I noticed that the sour cream was not melting. But I ate it anyway. The pull pork was not warm and the potato wasn't tender or hot. This was my last night in Reno for the USBC Open Championship. I awoken sweating and nausea, at 4:00 am Sunday morning, rushed to the bathroom, and it all came out in the commode. I was able to make it to the airport, where I had to rush to the bathroom where the rest of the "Loaded BBQ Pulled Pork came out. I was nauseous the rest of my flight home and all day Monday and Tuesday. I was able to eat anything but liquids. The service was good due to the amount of customer dine there. We like coming here for late night eats or after concerts or early before check out. . Dinner time any time after 4pm. We like getting the pho soup. We also like getting the crispy Vietnamese chicken too. . Breakfast we like getting the steak and eggs with hash brown and bacon. . Also we like getting some pancakes too. . The service is a hit or miss. Sometimes it takes a while for the food to come out when it is busy. Ambiance here is casual and nothing fancy. The menu does the cravings for late night to early mornings. . Overall I highly recommend the viet crispy chicken rice dish. I was going to order room service, but when I saw the. * $14* room service service charge? I decided to go down to the restaurant. Until I saw the line. OK, to go back to my room it is... when I got to the room and saw the receipt, they still charged me $2.99 for it to go order. Who charges for food to go? They came with Yellow & blue corn tortilla chips, house-made chorizo, refried beans, 2 eggs any style, pico de gallo, queso fresco, and ranchero sauce. I was surprised at the heaviness of the bag. I get it up to my room, and the portion was very large. Overall, it was good. The chips were not soggy, I liked the flavor of the chorizo, and it was tender. The beans were not gummy at all, the pico and the ranchero sauce gave it a bit of a "kick", but well within what I like for spicy. The queso fresco was a bit tangy, and helped offset the richness of the rest of the meal. They blew it on the eggs. I love it when the yolk drips down into my food. I was worried that they would "hammer" the over easy eggs, so I asked for sunny side up. Guess what? No yolk whatsoever. They popped the yolks. How in the. H-E- double hockey sticks do you screw up a sunny side up egg? Overall, though the rest of the food was amazingly good. The Price was a little bit on the higher end, but for what I got, very reasonable. (except for that stupid to go charge...) I also like the fact that they are open 24 hours a day. I will be back. If you are out of options, you have a chance to gamble your stomach's future here. Was here for a weekend to compete at USBC Nationals across the street. The hotel is great. The food here... not so much. First, we came with 10 people total and tried to split up the tables to avoid gratuity fees and long orders and stress on the waiter. However, we ended up having to go at different times and sit far away from each other so we can pretend to be strangers. As far as the food, my friends order was burnt eggs and not edible. My order was less cooked eggs and not scrambled as I asked. They call it Casino Breakfast because your odds of winning are slim to none. Others at my table ordered burgers and they looked ok at best. On top of that, they thought we all ordered soda when that wasn't close to accurate. The waitress did her best and took off the badly cooked meal and all the sodas. With the bowler's discount, still on the high side. Think of your favorite breakfast restaurant, increase the menu prices, and reduce the food portions. That is Cafe Central! Enjoy! read more

Pleasantly surprised! Decided to dine here for the first time after catching a live performance. They were busy but we were able to be seated immediately. Their menu has lots of options if you can't decide what cuisine you want. I went with shrimp pad Thai. Our food came out SO fast and it was hot and delicious. This place is one of those places that are open 24/7 and if all other places are open this is the place to come to if wanting a decent meal with and okay price tag attached to it. Service and atmosphere here is great. The only thing that I'd have a gripe about would be the ordering to table wait time other than that everything was pretty good. Note that everything here is a little bland so if wanting more sauce of flavoring don't hesitate to ask your server as they are more than happy to help you. The server failed to take any kind of drink order. A member of my group has some serious food allergies and he wasn't remotely interested if finding out what they were. We had to hunt down a manager to make sure the kitchen was actually aware. The French Dip I had was supposed to have a garlic aioli on it. Had a late dinner after seeing a show at The Silver Legacy. I had the Kung Pao Chicken and my wife had the General's Chicken. Both came with a side of white rice that cannot be substituted which was fine for us. The food came piping fresh and hot and the Kung Pao Chicken had excellent flavor and a perfect amount of spice and the General's Chicken was zesty and savory. Both were good portion sizes leaving us both with leftovers to take home. The atmosphere is along the indoor public walkway of the casino and a little loud, not really for an intimate date or setting, but the service was excellent and attentive. Large portion size has me taking home some for dinner. However, I can't recommend the Penne Pasta with marinara and meatballs. The sauce is very thin like tomato soup so it didn't have enough depth to hold onto the penne. Prices are about 20-25% high which is consistent with most resort casino places. Discounts apply for value players and locals, but you'll need a players card. I do like the light, bright open feel of the restaurant. Nice view of The Row for people watching. The menu is huge with tons of options, something for everyone. I couldn't decide what I wanted and only did so when the server came. Staying at Silver Legacy and knew that Cafe Central had done a remodel but the food was still excellent. Sure enough the fried rice was just as I remembered. Just the right amount of oil and lots of chicken, shrimp and sweet barbecue pieces. The pho was perfect. Veggies on the side to add to the hot flavorful broth. Definitely my go to when I visit. Their Asian food is my favorite. Conveniently located. Bar seats available.

One of the only spots open super late night or might even be 24/7. The line gets super long so be prepared to wait in line or if you're a diamond or above with Ceasars they have a separate line you can wait in for expedited seating. The service was always great and fantastic however the food is regular cafe food, some of it is better than others. There's plenty of seating and the long typically moves at a good pace. read more

TLDR: would not recommend unless you have a ton of time to sit around and wait for service/food. Came by myself at around 10pm on a Saturday. There was no line at the entrance, many empty tables and I got seated right away as the waiter took my order. However that was about the end of the service I received. I ordered a pho with beef and meatballs. Till this point, it's been 40 minutes since I ordered and no one checked in with me nor have I received my food. I finally was able to flag someone down and he said "It should be arriving shortly." When the pho finally came, the flavor was good but the soup wasn't hot enough to cook the meat. Even soaked in, it stayed pink. I ended up eating the meat balls and leaving the rest of the meat. Overall I think I would be back if I have time to carve out of my day to eat a meal, and I would also order something else, otherwise I would opt for some place else if I didn't have a lot of time. read more

Our family headed to Cafe Central in hopes of having breakfast. When we arrived, a little before 11am, the restaurant was already packed with diners but the hostess was still able to find a table for our five-person party easily. Once seated, the bus-person approached to take our drink orders, followed by our server, Lauren who took our food orders: two orders of potstickers and an order of chicken wings to start, the chicken tikka masala plate, a spaghetti and meatballs plate, a chicken fried steak breakfast plate, a "Casino Breakfast" (two cinnamon French toast, eggs any style and choice of bacon or sausage) and lastly, "Two Eggs Any Style" with hash brown potatoes, choice of bacon, ham or sausage, and choice of toast. The service was fairly efficient and fast, our appetizers arrived at the table with a minimal amount of wait. Midway through the appetizer course, our main entrees started arriving at the table. All the food tastes and looked good, everyone as pretty happy with each of their meals, and the portions were generous enough to make a lot of the food sharable. The service was mostly good, both our server and bus-person check in with our party to see we need anything else throughout the meal and quickly refilled our drinks. But one critique I have was our table wasn't cleared quickly enough; we had to pile the appetizer plates off to the side which made our table a little cramped. Also, the final bill was over $200- a little higher than usual; so, although we had an overall positive dining experience, eating at Cafe Central will not be an everyday thing. read more

I can't speak for the overall service or the full menu at this café, but on the day we visited, our delivery order was stolen by the driver, and we had to find something else to eat. Since it was already late, I just wanted some soup. We decided to try the Beef Pho, and it came out quickly. We took it back to our hotel, and honestly, it was the best pho I've ever had! It had the perfect balance of spice, a touch of sourness, and a generous amount of ingredients. Located in the Silver Legacy Casino it's easily located and away from a lot of the casino action, so nice and quiet. It's open 24 hours and exactly as its name implies, it's a cafe, nothing more. Four of us came and were seated immediately. The menu was surprising extensive with lots of diverse offerings, including many Asian food options. The drink menu is diverse as well and I ordered a golden ale beer which was refreshing. For my entree I had the Mongolian Beef, a substantial bowl of food, nicely prepared and quite tasty. I really enjoyed it and it had just the right amount of hot peppers for my pallet. Everyone else equally enjoyed their choices, and we can be a picky lot! Service was good yet seemed rushed. It was dinner time and there weren't that many patrons, especially with this being one of the few open places to eat. Overall, not a bad experience. Cafe Central is ok. It's in Silver Legacy on the 2nd Floor. 6 of us decided to share 5 plates. My aunt had the medium rare prime rib the night before and she thought it was a bit tough. She's been here previously and thought the Pad Thai was just okay last time she had it. Our favorite this trip was the shrimp pad Thai. Flavor was just right. The salmon in the teriyaki bowl was dry and didn't have much flavor. We needed the teriyaki sauce on it. Legacy combo noodles were just fine. We got a metal condiment tray but no hot chili sauce which would have made it better. The Vietnamese fried chicken was delish. The chicken was moist and the skin crispy. The beef in the beef stew with noodles was tough. Everyone tried a piece of meat and we left the rest. Hostess was very nice. She told us the kitchen was running slow before she seated us. This place is always extremely busy. Brownie points if you are Diamond status because you stand in a separate line and you get priority seating. Despite the heavy traffic, the servers and busers are trained well: they are quick and efficient. Customers are constantly rotating in & out. This cafe has a casual ambiance. If you stick to the basics, you'll have a good experience with your food. I don't recommend the Asian or Mexican food because it's bland and just not good (I expected authentic and it's just not). read more

Cafe Central is your typical 24/7 casino restaurant. It is either empty or packed depending on time of day. For lack of breakfast food options we ended up at Cafe Central at about 9am. We got right in which was lucky because the line grew quickly outside and it was slow moving. There's a lot of seating but it's not particularly comfortable or pleasant to dine in. The service was rather slow, friendly enough though. I ordered the chorizo breakfast quesadilla which was not bad. It was huge, I could not finish! The addition of sweet potato in the quesadilla was interesting. The queso dipping sauce it came with made it better. I wanted to eat at an actual breakfast restaurant but unfortunately there are no real options except this one inside the casino. Next time I'll venture out into the city to find a place. read more

My order of Legacy fried rice was a legacy of disappointment---it was so bland, that even after sprinkling some salt and pepper on it, did nothing. Luckily they had some Kikkoman soy sauce to balance the flavor. I also ordered a side of two poached eggs, which was bland, watery and overcooked. Could've used more vinegar perhaps, but it was a disappointment. We only came here today, woke up hungry and didn't want to leave the hotel. Came a little past 11 a.m. and waited a half hour in line. Probably won't come back here unless Gordon Ramsey steps in. Makes sense why the lady who kept checking in on us to ask if we we were "ok", needed more drinks, was not hesitant to remind us to take our time eating so she didn't have to rush and clean up after us or "a good thing we took the leftover fried rice home", so it was less of a mess to clean up after. The geriatric who bussed us, was completely miserable, made minimal eye contact and was not friendly at all. $12 minimum wage in state of Nevada, speaks a lot, which is unfortunate. Don't let the lines fool you about dining in a restaurant at the casino, best to keep options open. read more
