This is nice place for a hangout. I love the boba milk tea here and the service is decent. Yay! I'm a fan.

All I got to say is that I'm glad I decided to give this place a try while dropping off my dry cleaners two doors down, cause this has got to be my new favorite boba places!!! Their Boba Milk Tea is so delicious, I don't know it just hits the spot. The boba is fresh and soft, like a boba should be (I've been disappointed by many boba joints due to their hard like rock boba -.-) I can't believe I didn't stop by sooner! I've seen it so many times on my way to work, now every time I pass by it, I'm tempted to stop by!!! It's kind of expensive for a Milk Tea, around $4 for large Milk Tea but I think it's worth it!! stopped in for a boba after playing golf today. noticed the Yelp sticker on the door. starting to see more of those around. anyway. there are a lot of pretty good boba shops around. i'll add this to the list. strawberry slush with boba was pretty good. not too sweet, refreshing after hitting the links. service was good and the people were friendly. the place had an inviting feel to it. I've used this place mainly as a place to study. For that, it has been good. The only thing I've ever ordered there is Almond Milk Tea (large with boba is about $4.50), which I really like at BobaTime. I would say this cafe is more of a place to lounge and talk with friends. There is an indoor and outdoor seating area. Don't sit outdoors unless you like the smell of smoke (so if you're a smoker, it's smoker friendly). The workers there are pretty nice. It's usually pretty quiet during the day, EXCEPT mid-afternoon when school lets out. A bunch of middle school kids roll in and they're pretty loud. Busy time is at night and the crowd ranges from young adults to older adults. Overall, I like it here. I only wish they had stamp cards for drinks like lots of boba places do. read more

I love coming here because of the Dana slush. The atmosphere is very cozy and comfy. I love how this place is literally next to my house which is very close. I wish you can choose the flavor of the dana slush because i want to try different slushes other than strawberry. I got the boba here and it was very hard. I love their hot boba milk tea!!!!!!! Their boba texture is perfect and their tea is not too sweet and not too bland. My friends order other tea or milk drinks here and always like what they order. I always order the same drink but love it each time. The taste is always consistent. They accept credit card with minimum purchase of $5.00. Parking is good but on some weekends or busy nights, it may be difficult to find parking. read more

This review is solely on the boba milk tea. I feel like their boba milk tea has too strong of a coffee flavor. Also, their boba wasn't as chewy as I would have liked, and while some may think that I'm delving too deep into a single drink, mind you this place IS called Boba Time, so I expect quality boba. The boba shops I frequent fall into two categories: inexpensive and mediocre (for when I'm just thirsty) or pricey but well crafted (for when I feel like indulging). This shop falls into a third category: pricey and mediocre. The boba milk tea I ordered ($4.31 w/tax) was on par with what I pick up from the 99¢ boba place down the street- undercooked boba and syrupy tea. The service was pleasant, but service rarely replaces quality of the product. With the level of competition in the boba industry in the SGV, this place needs to step it's game up. read more

Bobatime is really close to my house, so I end up coming here a lot whenever I want to just chill with friends. Let's start with the pros. This place has quality drinks and desserts. Their bingsoo is seriously satisfying, and I really like their red bean milk tea with boba. Great selection of seating (I love the outdoors seating at night), and cute ambiance. Nice place to take a date to for coffee. It's usually pretty busy at night, but they never ever rush you. You could sit out there all night and just have good talks with your friends. Now for the negatives: everything on their menu is way overpriced! Once I just wanted something light, and ended up paying $3 for a teabag and hot water. I guess they raised the price after they realized people actually liked coming here. I remember when Pinkberry first opened across the street and this place was empty 24/7. Ah well. Anyways, my other main complaints about Bobatime is with their service -- when you walk in, don't expect people to greet you or do anything. Just seat yourself and chill. Wait 10 minutes for them to give you a menu, 5 minutes more for them to come take your order. When they're busy, add another 15 minutes. I'm not joking. Once me and my friend sat there and talked for 2 hours without the waitress approaching us. About 30 minutes in we kind of decided to just wait and see how long it'd take. Not sure if it's the inefficient way they take orders or if they get confused by the outside entrance, but man they gotta work on that. Finally, if you want to sit outside and you're not a smoker, beware. People are gonna smoke alllll around you -- and it's their right to; it IS outside seating. Just a heads up to all the nonsmokers who are attracted to pretty lights! read more

The review is based on the Bingsu. I have not tried their drinks. I want to come back to try them though. I will change the review if I do. GOOD: The atmosphere is very much like a small coffee shop, where people can hang out, have meetings, or study. BAD: The price for the amount of Bingsu given and the in respect to the flavor was par. Perhaps it is a comparison to the varieties I have tasted in Seoul, and the bar has been set. I mean the Bingsu wasn't horrible, but I already had certain expectations and this place did not meet them. FAV: I have only been there once. And I ordered their special Bingsu. read more

Let's be honest there's plenty of boba places in the local area to choose from so you need something that actually stands out. BobaTime seems to be more inviting than many of the local boba and coffee cafes nearby. There is ample space inside as well as an outside patio for you to just open up a laptop and get some work done while enjoying a cup of coffee or your favorite boba. Korean owned tapioca spot. It was kind of clustered in there. Came here with 2 friends and I asked for a regular milk tea with tapioca but somehow ended up with a large milk tea. Old lady had the nerve to not even ask if I wanted a regular or a large. Just went ahead and charge me for a large. Wtf kind of shit is that? I have to say that their coffee boba is the best I've tasted... not too strong and not too sweet, just right. Outside patio is nice to hang out, they let u bring dogs, they have board games and in the winter they provide blankets...oh and a chiminea. Its a nice place to chill n chat. read more

WARNING: IF YOU ARE NOT ASIAN- DO NOT COME HERE! This establishment shows favoritism towards their own people and are completely rude to others( I have had other non-asian friends warn me about this place, but I wanted to give it the benefit of a doubt)! I was rushing to work and decided to grab some tea before I started my 14 hour shift (Yeah I needed the caffeine!) I ordered a green mango tea with boba and I was charged $6!!!!!! Again I was rushed and didn't pay attention. When I realized how much it was, I asked the guy why it was 6 and [and when I did he gave me an attitude]he said because it was a large and he took the liberty to add extra extra boba! He never asked what size I wanted nor did I ask for EXTRA EXTRA FREAKING BOBA!!! I was so upset (but really needed the caffeine). I told the guy he should not have done and he just stared at me! He and his co worker were completely rude and unhelpful. Well, I learned my lesson and I would never recommend this place ever! read more

I prefer to sit inside rather than outside because there are often smokers in the patio area. The boba is excellent and the food items aren't bad either! I was so upset when I left this place last weekend. Me and some friends went by a little after midnight and seen the open light still on so we went over to check it out. The hour listing on the door looked like they had been rubbed off and there were still lots of people inside so we went in. The lady behind the counter never said anything about being closed so me and my friends went about ordering. Then another girl came up and very rudely told us that they were already closed and that the others did not want to be rude and tell us they were closed to begin with. This is my second home... I come here and turn on the TV, put my feet up, and watch what I want. I roast marshmallows on the big ass furnace they have outside. I might as well bring a sleeping bag and sleep here. Oh wait. They have blankets. Caroline, hayley, julie, heesak, ben, the other girl I don't know her name, and the owner lady are all very nice and make my second home feel like home. Their ice duet is the shiznit. So is their almond milk tea and everything else they make. Oh the Ramen. Daaaaaaaaaaamn! Customer service? Daaaaaaaaamn! They refill coffee until you start having seizures. This place is great.
