They still have good drinks, but the cups seem smaller and the prices seem higher, which doesn't mesh well with me, all things considered. It also took a very long time to get our order. We had to ask about it and this was already after waiting a good 20 minutes. Then we had to wait a little longer. They have a really nice patio outside and it's great for gathering together. Inside there are always a lot people working or talking. Overall it's still a good place, but it's definitely gone down a bit in my opinion. The red bean smoothie is still good, but didn't hit the spot quite like it used to. Maybe it was an off day in terms of service and the smoothie, but it definitely put a damper on this visit.

I've been coming here since it was previously known as Boba Time - vs BT Cafe. They've made the outside patio area in the side a nice place to hang out - weather permitting. Inside is a nice seating area too, but it's smaller than the outside area and it can get busy. Their drinks have always been very good and well made. Our go to is the red bean smoothie - nicely blended and good flavor. Sweet but not sugary. This place used to be a 4-5 star place for me, but lately it's been taking longer to get my drinks made. Last time we were here it took about 20 minutes for our drinks to be made. Also, the sizing of their cups are smaller than what we used to receive. We still go occasionally to get their red bean shake, but unfortunately not as often as previously.

*Note: TDLR at the end of the review Chai Latte: 6/10 Got it hot. It's whatever. Kills my itch, but it's definitely more on the milkier side. Spice isn't very strong at all and there's a very subtle sweetness. Service: 9/10 Every employee I've ever encountered here is super nice and prompt. They bring you your drink if you don't hear them or if you're out on the patio. Ambiance: 10/10 Super duper cozy. There's couches and a variety of tables inside with lots of natural and yellow lighting. Music varies time to time, but it's nothing crazy. It's always something on the calmer side. It's pretty warm if you're inside. There's an outdoor patio area and it's very cute and spacious! There's a couple heaters as well. It usually gets more crowded towards the evening = gets noisy. There are outlets inside and on the patio, but not everywhere so be selective of where you sit. Parking lot is small, but never found it hard to find a spot even when it was crowded. TDLR: 100% on the pricier side, but if you don't mind, it's a super cozy place to study or socialize. The ades are pricey, but tastes good and a good option for caffeinated drinks. Chai latte is mid. Sweet potato latte is pretty good. Inside area is warm, patio can get cold even with warmers. I've always found parking. Wifi and outlets available, but not everywhere.

    Shaved ice Large $24.00

Cool chill spot for a good boba, matcha or simply a nice hot tea. The place was very packed and good vibes all around. The staff was kind and welcoming. We also ordered a large shaved ice. I thought a little pricey for the dish at $24.00 but it was refreshing and more than enough for about 3 people, we probably could have ordered a small. The dish comes with mochi, fresh fruit, ice cream scoops, corn flakes, red beans and fruity Pebbles. I thought an interesting combo but overall it all meshed well. Must try

Met my gf here for a nice talk. The ambiance was so nice! I loved the comfy sitting areas. The shaved iced we shared was good, could have been better-- didn't taste as fresh as I would have preferred.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 This place has easy parking, nice indoor and outdoor seating area. Very cozy and relax. Ordered strawberry yogurt drink from popular drinks and I was surprised it cost over $8. This is my most expensive drink so far. Taste was good but I can't justify myself spending this much for a drink. The store was busy regardless of the price. Maybe I ordered the expensive one out of their menu. It would be nice to have prices for their drinks. I don't see myself coming here regularly but it is a nice place to hang out.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much--but step in, and you're instantly welcomed by a cozy interior and soft, calming music that's perfect for studying or working. It's rare to find places with this much space; there are tables for both small groups and larger ones of up to 7-8 people, plus comfortable seating throughout. There's even more seating outside, which has become popular now that the weather's warming up--perfect for soaking in some sun while you work or relax. They do serve food, though I didn't try any this time. I went for the passion fruit ade, and honestly, I'd get it again. That one drink alone convinced me the rest of their drink menu is probably worth exploring. Though it did seem like their boba was popular too. Overall, it's a great spot for productivity with a solid drink menu and food options if you need them. Service was welcoming and quick, and I'd give it a solid 4--mainly because I haven't sampled the food yet.

    Ramen

I came here because I was looking for a place to study and have a meal at the same time. I saw they served food and thought 'ok!' I hade a strawberry matcha tea that was actually amazing 10/10. I ordered the ramen as well and was expecting a little more than top ramen and hot dogs (for $9?!) they called it "sausages" but I know Oscar Meyer when I taste it. Otherwise service is good. The vibes are vibey. I'd come back for the drinks and ambience.

Quality has gone down significantly ever since they changed their menu. None of the drinks taste the same anymore & I found plastic in my drink. I want the old cafe bt back.

Matcha lovers, this one is worth the stop…read more I visited Chayan not too long after they opened, and this was such a good find in Rowland Heights. First of all, the space itself is beautiful. The traditional Chinese-inspired aesthetic gives the shop such an elegant, calm atmosphere. It isn't overly flashy or trying too hard to be trendy--it just feels peaceful and thoughtfully put together. Definitely the kind of place where you can slow down and actually enjoy your tea. But let's talk about the reason I came here: the Matcha Green Tea Frappe. SO. GOOD. What immediately stood out to me was that this didn't taste like one of those drinks where the actual matcha gets completely buried underneath sugar. You can genuinely taste the matcha and the quality of the tea. It has that distinct matcha flavor while still being creamy and enjoyable. And the topping?! Instead of just throwing regular whipped cream on it, they top it with whipped matcha and roasted peanuts, which gives it this really interesting combination of creamy, earthy, nutty flavors. The peanuts add a little texture and complement the matcha surprisingly well. It tasted intentional rather than just sweet for the sake of being sweet. That's probably my biggest recommendation before coming here: if you're looking for an extremely sugary, dessert-style matcha, this may not be what you're looking for. This is much more about actually tasting the tea. If you want something loaded with sugar where the matcha disappears somewhere in the background... Starbucks is right there. But if you appreciate a more balanced drink where you can actually taste good-quality matcha, I absolutely recommend giving Chayan a try. Beautiful atmosphere, quality tea, unique flavors, and an overall really relaxing experience. I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.

There's seating indoors with the ordering kiosks. Unfortunately, the tea flavor wasn't very strong and it was more milky. Not too sweet even at the Recommended levels so that's good. Black Tea Cold Brew: not strong enough and just tasted generic. Da-Hong-Pao Tea Frappe: very milky with a hint of a nutty black tea. The cream and crunchies on top were a nice addition. Osmanthus & Lychee Lemon Tea: very refreshing and sweeter than the other drinks. I'd definitely recommend it. With so many boba places in the area, especially with ChaHalo down the street, it might be difficult to succeed.

Their merchandise (magnets, hair accessories. ..) is super cute. We ordered their milk tea flight, which included a jasmine milk tea, osmanthus milk tea, and a dark/black milk tea. We also got the lychee smoothie, oolong milk tea and the lemon kumquat tea. All our drinks were ordered at 50% sweetness. All drinks were a hit. The jasmine milk tea tastes very similar to a milk tea competitor that shares the same name scheme (Cha_ _ _). ChaHalo has good boba and more variety, though, which is a plus! Their lychee smoothie was perfectly sweet at 50%. The oolong milk tea had the perfect milk to tea ratio, and the lemon kumquat tea was refreshing. Out of the drinks in the flight, the jasmine milk tea was best, then osmanthus if you like the floral tea flavor, and lastely the dark milk tea, which wasn't anything special. There were a few small tables inside, and seating in their patio. Drinks came out quickly and service was efficient and friendly. We will be back!

This particular location only has one ordering kiosk and only a couple of small tables. It is definitely more of a grab-and-go type of place. The shop itself was clean and filled with a pleasant tea aroma that created a welcoming first impression. Service was average, with nothing particularly memorable about the visit. Considering the relatively small size of the drinks, paying over $8 per drink felt difficult to justify. **Green Tea with Boba: 2.5/5** For a tea shop renowned for its freshly brewed-to-order teas, this drink was surprisingly lackluster. It tasted noticeably watered down and had very little of the fresh, fragrant jasmine tea flavor I was expecting. The chewy boba was the highlight, offering a pleasant texture with just the right amount of sweetness, but it couldn't salvage an otherwise disappointing drink. **High Mountain Pouchong Tea: 1/5** This drink was an even bigger letdown. Like the green tea, it tasted diluted and lacked the floral depth and complexity that a high mountain pouchong tea should offer. An unusually artificial, creamy, sweet aftertaste also lingered after each sip, further detracting from the overall flavor. Overall, the drinks lacked the bold, distinctive tea flavor I'd expect from an award-winning tea house. Considering the premium prices and relatively small drink sizes, the quality ultimately didn't justify the cost. There are simply too many better bubble tea shops at this price point, and I don't see myself returning.

Cute bread themed interior: baguette door handles, a variety of bread squishies for the kiddos to play with while you order, and a large rolling pin light fixture above you. Do yourself and your friends and family a favor and bring home at least a few of the butter caramel tarts. Cute small place with outdoor seating. Nicely decorated. Variety of pastries and drinks. You can…read moreorder on a kiosk or with the cashier. I ordered the Mango Coconut Bliss and Honeydew Coconut Bliss. They were both yummy. I love their use of real fruits. The Butter Caramel Egg Tart is so massive you can share it with a friend. There is a smaller version but go BIG, so worth it. It tastes heavenly! The custard is perfect texture, so smooth and not too sweet. The crust is amazing; it has multiple layers and it's flaky (in a good way). If you love egg tarts like me, this place is definitely worth checking out.
