13.Roast Pork Egg Roll I ordered a 15. Shrimp Egg Roll

-This place used to be a good go-to in the neighborhood. Lately, the good is sound. The store is not as clean as it was before. I ordered shrimp egg rolls and was given pork.

I've never had the Mexican food from here, only the Chinese food. Before I talk about the food, I just want to emphasize that the people who work there are EXTREMELY nice and really just make my experience more positive. They seem genuinely thankful to each and every customer and they always serve with a smile! They are fast with the food, very hardworking, and super kind. Now onto the food. I'm a fan of the crispy cheese wontons. It comes with a lot of them, like 10 or 12 and there is a nice amount of filling which is sweet and creamy. They are super crunchy on the outside and come with a sweet and sour sauce. I've also had the shrimp with walnut and was really happy with it! The shrimp were so so crispy, large, and there was really a generous portion of shrimp in there. I like the freshness that the lettuce added, and the price was good too. I wish the sugar was like caramelized onto the walnuts though. The sauce was also good. My lunch special experience was less positive. I got the shrimp with broccoli lunch special which was supposed to have jumbo shrimp. The shrimp didn't look very jumbo to me and there were unfortunately only 4 of them. Most of the container was filled with rice and broccoli. It also could have used more sauce. I wouldn't order this lunch special from them again.

    Grilled chicken Tosada salad bowl

This is a staple takeout place at the office. My coworkers order from here every week. My go to item is always the grilled chicken tosada salad, with Russian dressing and sour cream on the side. Its delivered in a white box and once you open it, you'll see the tortilla shaped like a salad bowl with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. It fills your apetite for lunch thats for sure. The tosada salad bowl cost just about $6.50

    25. Jack Cheese and Shrimp Quesadilla

If I could provide zero stars, I would. They delivered an oil soaked shrimp quesadilla to my residence that had so much grease, the quesadilla's breading was soaked through and brown in color toward the center. Upon taking one bite, I knew there was something off with the taste so I proceeded to open up the quesadilla & view it's contents. The shrimps were totally brown in color as well as soaked in brown cooking oil that tasted of fried foods (the shrimp should be grilled and pink in color for the most part). There were also brown bits of fryer droppings in my quesadilla. Upon speaking with the representative she explained that I should eat the quesadilla as the grease was not actually grease but, a "sauce" they use. That was their full scope of support ...

We went on a Saturday in February around 7pm and it was crowded. Like yelling-across-the-table crowded. Plastic disposable cups, paper napkins, a big water pitcher just sitting on the table. Very casual. Very no nonsense. Honestly, you just lean into it. We started with the fried calamari and got both the medium and hot marinara sauces. The sauce is really the star. Spicy, garlicky, so good in the best way. We also ordered baked clams, which were delicious and somehow the only thing I managed to take a picture of before digging in. That never happens. My father-in-law had the scungilli over linguini and said it was great. I had linguini with clam sauce and it was exactly what I wanted. It was not "too soupy" if that makes sense lol. Simple, briny, comforting. My husband got chicken parm with linguini and completely cleaned his plate. Our waitress was friendly, just very busy because the place was packed. You can tell they're used to the chaos. There's a parking garage right across the street which makes life easier. And it's right by the water, which makes me want to go back in the summer and walk around and really enjoy the area. If you're okay with loud and very casual, this is your spot. Good food, big portions, no fuss. I'd definitely go back!

We got the lobster AYCE for $125pp and they had so much variety and everything was made fresh to order. The portion sizes were generous and the quality of the seafood was great. The AYCE menu includes a variety of items including appetizers (broccoli, calamari, corn, iron steak, crab rangoon, clam chowder, fried rice, garlic noodles, chicken wings, spareribs, general Tso's chicken, spring rolls, edamame, french fries, and more) and main seafood entrees (steamed or hand breaded shrimp, blue crab, dungeness crab, snow crab legs, crawfish, salmon, seabass, mussels, steamed clams, raw oysters and clams, and more). The items I would recommend the most are iron steak, crab rangoon, blue crab, snow crab legs, and crawfish. The seafood is fresh, and if you love seafood, this AYCE meal is a good value for the variety and amount you get. There is no limit to how much you can order at a time; you can order as many rounds as you'd like. Service: Service is excellent here; staff are friendly and very attentive. They come to check on you throughout the meal and clear empty dishes. Food comes out very quickly after you place an order. The staff are also nice about giving you another menu to place another order. They are generous with their portions and food unlike other AYCE places that seem to not want you to order as much. Ambiance: The restaurant is big and spacious; seating is comfortable. There are tables and booths that can accommodate both small and large groups. The restaurant is kept clean, and the decor is very nice. During the warmer months, there's outdoor seating in Mongolian-style tents on the patio that overlooks Surf Avenue and Luna Park. Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant if you like seafood!

We would absolutely love to come back when the weather is warm. The service was impeccable. Our server was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of all evening. Now, let's get to the food. I started with the Caesar salad, but the dressing was a bit too anchovy forward for my taste, so I didn't really enjoy it. My husband had the lobster bisque. It was very creamy, but there was hardly any lobster in it. We both ordered the grilled octopus. I wasn't a fan, but my husband enjoyed it, especially paired with the lime based slaw. On the side, we ordered the fried calamari, which was one of the highlights. The calamari was tender, and the sauce really made the dish. For our main entrées, I had the whole lobster, which unfortunately was overcooked and lacked flavor. My husband ordered the snow crab legs and really enjoyed them. Dessert was the best part of the evening. I had the red velvet cake and he had the key lime pie. Hands down my favorite dish of the night. I'm not sure if the experience was impacted by Restaurant Week, but between the beautiful location and great service, I'm willing to give Nick's Lobster another try, especially during the summer.
