    Triple Delight!

Quick, friendly and efficient service. The food is fresh and flavorful as always. When I explained I had to limit my sodium, the kind waiter offered to prepare my chicken with mixed vegetables without msg without sacrificing any flavor. Very helpful and deeply appreciated!

What a great experience I'm born in Brooklyn living in LA visiting so my brother he took me to the Red Bowl Chinese Restaurant. He praised everything about the Establishment and he was right. The service is excellent and beautiful Big fish tank to look at, and the food was absolutely delicious right on the money. I had the combination fried rice the house rice the chicken was excellent and my brother got broccoli and beef, dessert was good pistachio cake out of this world. I would highly recommend this wonderful Chinese Restaurant for people who love good food and great service I hope you enjoy my pictures and I will probably be there maybe tomorrow or the next day five stars.

I came in tonight to order pan fried pork dumplings (fried on both sides) and pork fried rice to go. While my food was being prepared, I ordered a spicy margarita on the rocks with salt. It was amazing! I stood at the bar and took notice how clean the bar top was and how everything looked clean. The price was right and my food was amazing. The staff is friendly and I can't say more about the place. If you haven't check this place out, you're missing out.

Chicken bao bun... I mean what are we talking about? "Chicken bao buns are a popular dish featuring fluffy, steamed Chinese buns filled with a variety of chicken preparations, sauces, and fresh garnishes. The chicken can be prepared in various ways, including crispy fried, pulled, or ground and seasoned. " Well.. we are talking about Red Bowl's Chicken Bao buns that are lip smacking delicious fluffy cloud bun with choices of fried chicken, Kaarage like prepared, or pork belly bao. All baos come with 2 pieces and greens;, the crack sauce that comes with the fried chicken adds a kick. The veggie lo Mein was also delicious; packed with broccoli, onions and carrots. The portion is enough for two people and if solo, there will be leftovers. Their egg roll is consistently crispy and delicious accompanied by a fire engine hot mustard and sweet duck sauce. Scrumptious indeed! Red Bowl is consistently delicious whether I'm dining in or ordering delivery. This review is for delivery; and the food is equally delicious compared to dining in. We know some restaurants delivery is a totally different one from in person. Red Bowl is opened until 10pm most days so if you have a cravingggg.. you know who to call! RB is located on 8518 Third Avenue

One of my favorite spots in Bay Ridge! The food and service is consistently phenomenal and the prices cannot be beat. Really beautiful restaurant with a great menu of delicious bites!!

    Pork with Garlic Sauce

Very upscale Chinese American spot in Bay Ridge. Pricey but the food quality is tremendous. I will declare them the best Scallion Cakes I have ever had, they have a flaky, almost pastry quality and are not overly greasy like many of them tend to be. The General Tsos chicken is nice chunks of white meat chicken with a sauce that doesnt go into the cloying area that so many do. The Pork in Garlic sauce has very fork tender pieces of pork and the veggies are all great quality. The Hot and Sour soup is perfect for when you feel youre coming down with a cold in all its sinus clearing goodness. The Chicken Wings were meaty and well made i went with the Soy Garlic ones. The only item i wasnt crazy over was the eggrolls which I didnt feel were crisp enough and filling was 95% cabbage. Only issues I have with them is not having Combination Platters like virtually every other Chinese American pot and the prices are really high which makes them more a splurge than the average Chinese spot. Overall tho this is a very solid place.

After the pandemic, the quality of many American Chinese food places around Bay Ridge went down. This is the only place that doesn't upset my stomach afterward. Whether it's dining in or ordering out, this is a safe and cleanly place if you don't feel like taking any risks.

Came by lunch. Service was great, ambience is tradition diner with Asian influences (cozy). Our dishes varied from good to great to excellent. Highly recommended the soups and Mongolian beef. Fried rices were great. Vegetables used were fresh and salt level was perfect. Certainly, a repeat type of establishment.

This place did not disappoint! This is was our 2nd time coming as a family and we all loved dining here. I personally loved their orange chicken and crab rangoon. Their chicken was fresh and was super tasty! Very crunchy and it hit the spot! Crab rangoon- was very crunchy! It had a bit too much of mayonnaise but did the job! Overall, my family and I were impressed with the service. They were helpful and attentive. We loved their ambience-they decorated for chinese new year and my family took a lot of photos! At the end they would give us fortune cookies and their fruit of the day. Tip: if you pay in cash you wont have to pay the extra fee for card.

    Shrimp with cashews delicious
    Pamela E.

Shrimp with cashews was EXCELLENT. Egg roll and won ton soup were awful. Received shrimp rolls instead of rock shrimp and didn't realize it and failed to check receipt to see what I was charged for. When we asked to get everything to go, they never wrapped up our white rice that we paid for. Service very good. Won't go back.

The meal includes geoduck sashimi, jellyfish & mixed appetizer, soup, steamed fish, crab & lobster with sticky rice, abalone, steamed shrimp, noodles, and veggies. Some dishes were bigger than others. Both times I came they didn't have abalone so we substitute the dish for garlic scallop (which I prefer). The menu also says it comes with house special dessert but we never gotten any. For any seafood, it's market price plus they add a 30% processing fee, which is strange to me. For a Chinese restaurant which usually does not charge tax if you pay with cash, they charge tax here whether you pay by card or cash. The restaurant is pretty big and spacious. They have pretty large tables, suitable for parties and celebrations. There's a private space upstairs with 3 large tables for parties. The restaurant is pretty slow in the afternoon.

We went straight for their signature deep fried garlic chicken and decided to share the Peking duck--and both dishes were beautifully presented and packed with incredible flavor. The chicken, in particular, was crispy, aromatic, and absolutely delicious, though it's worth noting you'll want to be a bit careful as there are quite a few small bones throughout. The Peking duck was equally impressive, cooked perfectly with rich, satisfying taste in every bite. You can really tell the kitchen puts care into both quality and presentation. On top of the food, the staff were adorable and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance felt warm, lively, and comfortable--perfect for a relaxed meal in Chinatown. Uncle Lou is a Cantonese restaurant that also serve Dim Sum dishes. The business name reference Chinese culture of calling adults "uncle" (suk1 suk1, 叔叔) or "auntie" (aa3 ji4, 阿姨) is a polite, common way to show respect, build connection, and bridge generational gaps. It treats non-relatives like family, making strangers feel younger and fostering closeness. The atmospheric decor contains very beautiful Chinese lanterns suspended from the ceiling throughout the restaurant. I believe it is decorated for Lunar New Year throughout the entire year. No comment for facility as I did not utilize. Customer service is average attentive and the staff is fluent in both English and Cantonese. I did not have to wait long to be served nor request the bill, and neither attain change. I often dine alone as a single woman and was regarded with respect for patronizing. It is always good to hear Cantonese spoken as it is mellifluous... at long last to continue this vernacular of Chinese language. I ordered in a mixture of both English and Cantonese. I was promptly seated by the maître d' promptly for a table. Melamine/plastic chopsticks in neon green and ceramic / porcelain china including ceramic Chinese soup spoon are distributed to customers while dine-in. A traditional teapot is also distributed during the duration of meal like large banquet hall Dim Sum restaurants. The large round tables contain a rotating lazy susan in traditional Chinese restaurant standard. Wow. No disposable wooden chopsticks and no disposable bowls for utensils are distributed at Uncle Lou. Price is slightly high, but worth the food quality and customer service. Uncle Lou did surely feed me! Shrimp Wonton noodle soup, Ho fun (flat rice noodles), shrimp based broth, $14.95 The bowl is gargantuan and the six (6) dumplings are good size portion served in ceramic / porcelain china. There are Chinese vegetable of one strand choi sam (choy sum) and scallions. The shrimp Wonton dumplings are a good size and good consistency. The soup broth is solid for flavor and consistency. It was served piping hot as steam was visibly emitting. The soup broth was slightly heavy. The flat rice noodles were sufficient for quantity. Noodle soup is Chinese comfort food and warms the heart. It sustained my hunger pangs throughout the day. Upon arrival the wait staff prominently announce to inform customers of 9% discount for cash payment and a 3% additional surcharge or fees for any credit/debit card payment for situational awareness. I was informant and made fully aware twice: upon entry when seated and upon receiving the bill. Uncle Lou complies with "Prohibition of Cashless Establishments, as of March 21, 2026, all retail and food establishments in New York State, including New York City, must accept in-person cash payments, banning fully cashless stores." (source: Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA), Local Law 34 of 2020). Oh! For small amounts of purchases, my default payment method is cash. Yes, cash is still widely accepted in the 21st century. Nota Bene: Have cash on hand to avoid annoying surcharge or fees. The bill is calculated and manually handwritten the old school way still a timeless classic. I paid my bill in cash including gratuity. No comment for Apple Pay or Google Wallet (formerly Android Pay/Google Pay) either acceptance or price differential vs. cash.
