My girlfriend and I found a staple inside her chicken quesadilla. Luckily, she was able to spit it out before swallowing it. The only reason I gave the place 2 stars is because the food itself is very good and fresh. I understand mistakes happen but the cook NEEDS to be notified of this incident so it doesn't happen again.

Crazy Fries - sausage, cheese, bacon. Even tho this is a next day left over pic, this is what is looked like being served "fresh" to me...

Was not impressed with this place. Dined in a Saturday early afternoon. A friend and I were the only customers there throughout our whole dine in experience. What we got: Crazy fries beef empanadas rotisserie chicken soft taco chorizo soft taco carnitas soft taco camaron soft taco pescado soft taco Honestly, everything was bland... except for the chorizo Only good thing I can say about the food was the portion size, especially with the soft tacos, a good mount of "filling" The crazy fries didnt look appetizing at all, like the cheese used looked like plastic. just overall sadly not good. If my pics are still there, thats exactly what the crazy fries looked like. Nothing different from being served "fresh" to me than being eaten as a left over the next day. The other good, was the place was spacious and clean and the wait staff was enjoyable.

I had such a pleasant experience here! The waitresses were so friendly, they were efficient in cleaning before and after guests leave. The food was also delicious!!! They provided free nachos and salsa which was a great appetizer before the entree. We ordered horchata, enchilada with green sauce and the cuban hero. Horchata is one of the best I've had! The Cuban hero was so goood (along with the crispy fresh fries), and the beef enchilada was so flavorful. Everything was so tender and the beef wasn't overdone either! The portions were enormous...!! You will not be disappointed :)

Just want to start off my saying the customer service here is stupendous. The gentleman and all the ladies are very tentative, accommodating and overall friendly! The food here is also delicious. Please try the creamy green sauce!!!!! Highly recommend the tacos which come with onions, cilantro and guacamole! Favorites are the steak and the fried fish tacos. The only unremarkable dish for us was the empanadas- a little too soggy on the inside compared to what I prefer.

Guess what I had for lunch, a burnt chicken. I'm never going back if that's how they served their customers

Placed order at seamless 11:14am, received at 1247pm. Understand the guy is on a bike. Food was not hot upon arrival. Warm. The chicken is burnt, totally black on the skin * wish I can post pic with my review but it is on the photos I posted.

Always serving up great tacos!! I keep ordering them. And the amiga that brings it out to me is soooooo nice!! I love it. Keep eating these...

I ordered a pico de gallo and Chicken. There was a COCKROACH in the pico!!! And it was alive.... Will never order again. =(

I ordered a pico de Gallo and a roasted chicken. It looked good but... Nope. Sorry. See pic! There was a Cockroach in the Pico!!! I opened it up and there it was. Alive and kicking. Now I am revolted. Nauseous, and didn't touch their other food. I am sorry for posting this, truthfully their chicken looks good and tastes good but I will never order from them again after this bad experience.

They moved across the street from the last time I've visited and the new place is nicely renovated with all glass windows. The food is as good as before and service and prices are great as per usual. I love this place.

It is time for an Ecuadorian lesson.. shall we? Let's break it down:…read moreDefinition: "Chuzo is a brochette or skewer of marinated, grilled meat with bold seasonings, classic sides, and the unmistakable flavor of Colombian street food." "Bar" well we all know what that means, "vamos, vamos, vamos!" Since my first visit last year, I was hungry for more deliciousness and decided to go with Yelpie friend, Sharon for brunch. Bar Chuzo has the restaurant and bar attachment which is where we dined. I happen to like the bar room for dining, it's charming and quieter for a Sunday brunch. Bar Chuzo offers really nice Brunch selections from ceviche, salchipapas, tuna, steak and apps from delicious fries, calamari, crab, plantain chips, croquettes and so much more. Here's what we ordered: Apps- Plantain chips( dinamita !) with a side of salsa verde. Yuca Croquettes with Yuca, Chihuahua cheese, and uchucuta sauce( green herb chile sauce with nuts) Dinamita number two! Two different brunch menus, Menu 1 offers apps, sides, entrees, cocktails and desserts. Menu 2: Bottomless Brunch for 90 minutes choice of Margaritas for $35 or Mimosas for $30. Mains: Crab cake Benedict consists of sunny side up egg, crab cake, potato cake, uchucuta hollandaise sauce, crostini and Chuzo salad. Sharon enjoyed it very much.Dinamita number three. Chicken Chuzo: Brasa marinated chicken skewers, Andes Ecuadorian corn, yuca croquettes. There are two skewers with three pieces of chicken on each, scrumptious, loved the taste of the chicken, the croquettes ( yuca again) nice accompaniment and the corn was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend! Dinamita number four. Cocktail: Mango peach sangria hit the spot! Service: Gabriella is a great, professional and accommodating server. Absolutely wonderful and knows her stuff! Dinamita number five. There are delicious desserts as well but too full. The portions are generous and this meal for me was lunch/dinner. The vibe here is chill with Latin music seeping into your veins. 'Mis felicitaciones al personal!' ( my compliments to the staff). Bottomless Brunch: Saturday and Sunday from 11:30am- 3pm Lunch Monday-Fri 12-4m Dinner: Mon-Thurs 4-19pm. The wait staff was equally charming and attentive and we were directed to the QR code for the menu immediately. It was late afternoon so we opened the Happy Hour menu and it was surprisingly comprehensive. There were cocktails and specialty drinks all discounted for happy hour and a surprisingly large happy hour food menu. The cocktails were excellent (be sure to order a Crystal if you enjoy gin, or an espresso martini which my wife said was excellent) and we ordered Guacamole and chips and oysters which were à la carte and very reasonably priced. My wife doesn't care for oysters so I just ordered a couple for myself. They were beautifully presented on a bed of ice with a fresh lemon, a fresh spicy green mixture instead of horse radish and a sweet but spicy hot sauce. They were wonderful. The guacamole came with home made chips that were thick and well done so they held up to the guac very well. The guac was delicious and a bit chunkier than other places but the texture was wonderful with the thicker chips. For an entree, we chose Chuzos, skewered and grilled chunks of meat (chicken for my wife and NY Strip Steak for me) marinated and grilled to perfection. Both entrees came with large kernel corn which I had never tried before and yuca croquettes, also my first time. The corn was delicious but the kernels were a bit more like beans rather than the corn kernels you might be used to. The yuca croquettes were delicious and probably indistinguishable from potato croquettes in case you are worried you may not enjoy yuca. We actually finished neither entree and the kitchen packed our leftovers carefully for today's lunch (there was PLENTY left over). There was a nice dessert menu but we'll save that for another time. I cannot say enough good things about Bar Chuzo. The staff was friendly and attentive but not hovering or rushing. The food and cocktails were excellently prepared, reasonably priced but not cheap and the dining rooms were beautifully decorated. I will DEFINITELY be back to Bar Chuzo and if you haven't been, I urge you to check them out. You will not be disappointed.

However I usually forget that they also had food because there are so many options for Mexican food around here. This time around I decided to stop and try their food out. We started with the queso which was ok nothing special. For my main I ordered the mole enchiladas and I actually like it. My boyfriend order the steak but they were out of stock so he settle for the pernil. He claims to be a pernil connoisseur and wasn't happy with his pernil here. I had two margaritas one regular and one with mezcal and left feeling a little tipsy. I think this is just a place for drinks and snacks but the food was just ok for me.

They had a backyard area which I was surprised about but they made it look good. I ordered a French Bull dog and from the ingredients it looked like the only difference was instead of beer there was a small bottle of Hennessy, sounds awesome right. In my head and too so other places I've been to when you ask for a bulldog you get a nice big margarita glass with the bottle usually beer inside. Nope here they gave me a tiny glass with the cognac inside, no way you're calling that a bulldog and charging almost 20 for it. It was good but not justifiable at that size. I had this one drink and left. 3 stars maybe I'll try them again soon

Defeated, that only made me want Ecuadorian food even more. I began a mission to get a plate of llapingachos (mashed potatoes laced with cheese and topped with peanut sauce, a typical dish in the Cuenca/Azogues area of Ecuador.) Yelp did not fail me. I walked south and found this place just after some scaffolding. I sat down and was promptly given a menu. Llapingachos are usually eaten with fritada (fried pork) or hornado (roast pork, like pernil.) Them I saw guatita (tripe with peanut sauce) and was almost lead astray and said to myself, No, you came here for llapingachos and llapingachos you shall have. The menu had pictures and I even saw a plate pairing them with steak and eggs. It was a hard decision, but I went with that. The waitress brought out green sauce, called ají in Colombia (not sure what it's called in Ecuador.) my husband ordered the bandeja paisa, a Colombian dish. I waited in trepidation, as I was starving at this point. The food came and I was unsure what to go for first. The meat, the llapingachos, the fried eggs, the salad, or the rice. I gave each a turn. What I love about Ecuadorian cooking, is that there's often a variety of foods on one plate. I hadn't had this plate in ages, so this was a real treat. I wasn't feeling 100% today, so the meal was hearty, yet had nothing to upset my stomach. It turned out to be just the right thing for me. My husband enjoyed his meal, though it was a riff on the traditional plate. They left out the area yet added a few pieces of pork on the bone. He seemed to enjoy his meal. I'd go back. In fact, a personal obligation will require me to be back in the neighborhood in a few days and now I have a little spot to go to that I can trust. I might just try the guatita this time.
