They truly do make tortillas fresh to order - and ingredients look relatively fresh. Serving portions are generous, prices are very fair. Nice quick fast food. I usually stop at this location when I'm driving south I-35. I enjoy ordering their brisket bowl and love being able to customize different options. It's a step above Chipotle with very Baja mex type toppings such as cabbage and mango salsa, and I like that you can add as many toppings as you want making it a filling meal. I can easily eat one half for dinner and take the other half for lunch the next day. The employees hustle. There's usually a line, but it moves fairly quick. They also have an online order drive-through window, which I need to take advantage of. So far, I've tried the chicken burrito in the smoky cheddar tortilla, and a custom chicken bowl, which is a bit of a healthier option. I first stumbled into Cabo Bob's a few years ago at their first location on S Congress. I guess I didn't really appreciate it as much back then. Recently, I was on my way home but really needed food and this happened to be on the way so I decided to stop. As soon as I got there, I knew a fish burrito would be the perfect choice! I was right and it definitely hit the spot! I have a new appreciation for this place, and I def recommend the fish burrito!! They stuff the burrito so much I couldn't take a bite, I had to use a fork to eat it - no complaints! I asked for the crema which was perfect! My daughter had been telling me how good this place is so I was very excited to go give it a try. The line was long but moved fairly quickly and I was glad because it gave me time to look through the menu. It's one of those places where you go through the line and pick out each item that you want. I decided to go with a bowl knowing I could add a little lettuce and make it somewhat of a salad. I ended up getting the chicken and added so much more! The zucchini/squash dish was amazing, as was the cream sauce. Everything was good. I now believe the saying, "food is the fastest way to the heart" I had my dog and they went out of their way to help, extra sweet! Their restaurant was well maintained, clean, and super neat! SO glad there is a Cabo Bob's close to me! This new location in Onion Creek is only 5 miles away. I'm so excited to have a better burrito option. I love their flavorful meats, fresh ingredients, and it's cheaper too! I like their tortilla options and learned you can order 2 tortilla flavors in one! They take 1/2 the dough from one and 1/2 from another for a fun fusion of flavors. Their grand opening event was fun! The employees were great and the line moved quickly. They've opened a new location, marking some ground in South Austin and the opening staff is a great team! With their grand opening on Saturday, August 17th, you don't want to miss out! Always fresh, always consistent. I've both dined in and picked up orders, and it never disappoints. One time, my pickup order was missing a couple of items. This was a new location that is closer to us and originally found out because of a yelp event to try it out. I ended up going after the event as well. I love the steak meat because it reminds me of the quality carne asada back in Chicago. I used to order the Burritos (my hubby ordered that) but noticed they make bowls now as well and glad I did because that is my new go to now. Im pretty specific about what i want in my bowl. I like the fact that they make the tortillas fresh there and they don't cook it until you order it (thats the first thing you choose to start your order) and they have some good options of them as well. After you choose your tortilla, you go on to beans and rice selection and then meat and then additionals including sauces. they have everything labeled to make it easier to point at it. They tend to be busy alot but they do well with getting that line to move quickly because of their assembly line. I like their options of fountain drinks as well with natural can sugar. I highly recommend this place. They have gotten quite pricey and can be a bit skimpy with the meat but the flavor is all there. The ingredients always feel hot and fresh, and the burritos are always huge for a reasonable price. I especially appreciate the fact you can just point to order, instead of having to yell. I ordered for pickup, because there always is a long wait out the door at the Ben White location. Once I picked up I saw the lines weren't as long as the other location and also was moving so quickly! I met I believe the Manager "Theresa" when I picked up the order they were able to kindly re-make the order after I called said I would be 2 hours late for pick-up asked if it could be stored in the fridge! I really appreciated that they offered to re-make the order and also found my wallet I dropped after leaving the restaurant with full of cash & credit cards Theresa called me right away while I was outside eating saved the day! Now that it's less than 10 minutes away, THIS will be my home base! Food: 4.9 / 5 - For what they serve, it ALWAYS HITS. Very flavorful and jam packed into my burrito bowl. Always fills me up too. I have been anxiously waiting for this place to open and I am so happy it did! Went there today and it was soooo busy- line was long and we were in line a total of about 25 minutes. Normally if I saw a line as long as this one I would have turned around and come back another day, but I'm so glad I stayed. This burrito was hands down the best burrito I have had! I got a brisket burrito with Baja beans and all the toppings.. the burrito was HUGE and could feed for two meals at least! The restaurant is decorated in the classic Cabo style, and the tables are a little larger than sine of the other stores and it makes a big difference.
