Chicken burrito bowl
Shia N.

I decided to give this place another go and I am glad I did ! My chicken bowl was much much more flavorful this time around. I went inside and ordered instead of placing an online order bc I sort of got it on a whim since I was close by. But both times I have been they seem pretty busy, which is a good sign! I will also say that the employees seemed happy which is refreshing to see !

I first stumbled into Cabo Bob's a few years ago at their first location on S Congress. I guess I didn't really appreciate it as much back then. Recently, I was on my way home but really needed food and this happened to be on the way so I decided to stop. As soon as I got there, I knew a fish burrito would be the perfect choice! I was right and it definitely hit the spot! I have a new appreciation for this place, and I def recommend the fish burrito!! They stuff the burrito so much I couldn't take a bite, I had to use a fork to eat it - no complaints! I asked for the crema which was perfect! Service is fast and they try to be as efficient as possible since they do get busy. Plenty of seating inside and outside if the weather isn't too bad.

Felt welcomed and taken care of, walking in through the door. First time having Cabo Bob's, unaware what was in store (literally) But the managers/owners/staff, had my back from the start. I now believe the saying, "food is the fastest way to the heart" I had my dog and they went out of their way to help, extra sweet! Their restaurant was well maintained, clean, and super neat! I got the steak burrito. It was one of the favs, and now I know why. It's so big, tasty, and cheesy... with chips and queso on the side. And yes it's really that big. I could divide it up and feed a classroom of Kids :) (I know, I'm a teacher ) Thanks so much! We will be back many times!

Move over *name of national chain fast casual Mexican restaurant*, our Austin native, Cabo Bob's is now serving up deliciousness in southeast Austin! At Cabo Bob's, Tortillas are MADE to order, that's right, right before your eyes, and come in four different flavors: Buttermilk Flour, Ancho Chili, Cilantro Tomatillo & Smoky Cheddar. If you're like me and tend to get overwhelmed with too many choices, I recommend checking out the menu in advance. HOW IT WORKS: You can order & customize tacos (3), a bowl, a large a** burrito, a salad or nachos OR choose an item from Bob's Specials to simplify your decision-making MY OPINIONS: I think the cilantro-lime rice could use a bit more salt, cilantros, and lime. As for the tortilla chips, note: these are freshly made in house, and are on the thicker side (not your usual restaurant-styled in the bag tortilla chips). The queso was exactly how the Lord intended, creamy & flavorful with a little bit of chopped jalapeños for that secret spice *chef's kiss*. Even though the chicken & steak are both grilled, I wish there were more crispier/burnt ends. I also love the variety of sauces Cabo Bob's offers, my favorite: Spicy Jalapeño.

Cabo Bob's hands down the best gourmet custom built tacos I've had. Simply amazing..no more long lines..extensive menu and great service. The store decor is very eclectic.

New Location I literally live 2mins away! I'm a taco and burrito girl so you know I'm excited! Wow the fact you can pick your tortillas from buttermilk flour, Ancho chili, smoky cheddar and cilantro tomatillo is amazing! The staff is so kind & friendly also very quick when making your order. I love the decor inside with the beach vibes and since I am from California definitely reminds me of there! So happy I got to experience this with my yelpers and try delicious food. I got a steak/ pork burrito loaded and when I tell you loaded the burrito is huge enough to share for-sure! Also tried Queso and chips can never got wrong with, for dessert I got a homemade brownie OH MY! Can't wait to go back with the family and try more things off the menu

SO glad there is a Cabo Bob's close to me! This new location in Onion Creek is only 5 miles away. I'm so excited to have a better burrito option. I love their flavorful meats, fresh ingredients, and it's cheaper too! I like their tortilla options and learned you can order 2 tortilla flavors in one! They take 1/2 the dough from one and 1/2 from another for a fun fusion of flavors. Their grand opening event was fun! The employees were great and the line moved quickly. There was no room to sit so we had to take our food to go. So glad they had a great turn out! There was a prize wheel and I won a Cabo Bob's Yeti. Score! 2 of my favorite things in one. This is my second time here in one week.

Cabo Bob's is a great Austin/Texas staple and the best choice when compared to a Chipotle or similar. In fact, a main go-to when needing something quick on a day I don't want to cook. They've opened a new location, marking some ground in South Austin and the opening staff is a great team! With their grand opening on Saturday, August 17th, you don't want to miss out! First 25 in line will be entered into a raffle to win a $300 gift card. Tortillas are made to order, and they PACK really well. Grass-fed beef, scratch-made salsas, original recipes, and sodas made with real cane sugar. You won't be disappointed! Dare I say their tortillas are better than HEB's. Pro-tip: Ask to mix tortilla flavors! The Baja Fish (taco, salad, burrito) is a favorite, as is the steak burrito with mixed pinto beans. And yes, their guac is also made in house fresh. We will certainly return. A staple and a high quality quick serve restaurant.

New location of cabo burritos. I have been a customer of this chain for a while and today I went to this location. Great burritos. The price is very reasonable for the portion size. My favorite is the brisket. Chicken is a little bit dry. The line was very long but it moves fast. Overall a good experience and I'll be back

Cabo Bob's never disappoints! I love how there never seems to be a disconnect with the quality of food, each time that I go. The ingredients always feel hot and fresh, and the burritos are always huge for a reasonable price. I especially appreciate the fact you can just point to order, instead of having to yell. It makes the ordering process way easier. The energy in the building is always so fun! It can be packed a lot of the time, but I've found some key times to go where it's not. Try the 66 red sauce! And make sure to get a punch card, it's definitely an awesome perk that not many restaurants offer anymore!

I've driven by El Alma many times being in the Austin area, but I never went until last Thursday, and after surviving a brief monsoon, I was glad to get a few drinks and eat some good TexMex with my large party just before a wedding. The best way to describe El Alma is that it is TexMex that is Austinified. Everything feels a little more unique and special than your classic TexMex options. I started off with a Mezcal Margarita that put a little hair on my chest and got me going. My group ordered two of their Nachitos, which were these nice nachos. For my main entrée, I got 3 Al Pastor tacos on corn with a side of their rice and beans. Their pastor was served with pineapples, onions, and cilantro with limes on the side. They were great and I immediately crushed them all. I thought their rice and beans were pretty good as well and a step above the typical TexMex rice and beans. The server was pretty attentive throughout our whole visit, and I honestly have no complaints about what they had to offer. Pricing on the meal and drinks was pretty standard for Austin, and I didn't think anything really took me out of the experience. On top of that, for being in Barton Springs, there is quite a bit of parking. I would love to come back at some point in the future and hang out on their rooftop bar because that seems like a lot of fun. Shoutout to El Alma for being a TexMex oasis saving me from the MoPac traffic. RIYL: TexMex, but better than your average

So we were thinking of tacos or Mexican food and my daughter suggested this spot as she had come here with some friends and really enjoyed their sopecitos. I had never had a sopecito! What is that! So we had to try... We were lucky to arrive at the right time (9 pm!) where we got their last table!! Make reservations or something because this is another one of those places that fills up! So- we were taken care of immediately: chips and some very hot salsas were set on the table while we chose. They menu is in QR code format, but we asked and got paper menus as well. Well I got the chicken sopecitos , my daughter got the pork ones and my partner got the meat tacos. Everything was delicious, the food arrived promptly, the portion size was perfect and bountiful and everything was super enjoyable. I really enjoyed trying some New Mexican favorites. Next time I will try some other delicacies since I always get tacos tacos burritos or quesadillas: time for some new items on the menu! Enjoy!

We started with their famous house Margaritas with Tajín, and they were absolutely delicious--and definitely strong in the best way. For our main dish, we split the vegetable Enchiladas de Mole Poblano, served with rice and black refried beans. I wish the enchiladas had more vegetables. Everything on the plate was outstanding, and I truly think they have the best mole in town--rich, complex, and unforgettable.
