Chicken Enchiladas with Tomatillo Sauce, Monterey Jack Cheese and Crema..Rice and beans.

First time here and we were very impressed! The food was absolutely delicious! The crispy yellow corn chips were fresh and perfectly paired with the amazing salsa. The authentic flour tortillas were hands down the best I've had in Austin! The chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce, Monterrey Jack cheese, and cream were incredible -- rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. Every bite was amazing. The staff was great, very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We will definitely be back!

This is not my first time here and it won't be my last. This is just my first time leaving a review because it's Mother's Day and we enjoyed our visit. But I've Always clean and smells good when you walk in and always busy. Our server was polite and quick, checked up on us many times while handling all her other guest. If I still managed restaurants I'd try to still her. The food is always good, never have had an issue. Never change always be you, y'all are great.

Some of the best salsa I've had in Austin! We made a last minute decision to try this place after driving by many times. We went on a Monday night and were able to be seated immediately. The staff was kind and explained what the different sauces for the enchiladas were when I asked, and were very quick to refill our drinks / chips & salsa when we needed. We loved the vibe of the interior with the decorations and handmade tortillas right as you walk in. The food was good (we each got enchiladas - the shrimp enchiladas had a thick sour cream sauce, and the enchiladas favorito was a nice mix of options to try, with the chicken & green sauce being my personal favorite), but the standout was the chips & salsa. So good!

One we were going to eat for breakfast was closed so we just happened to find this restaurant as an alternative. Well, a really good one. We got somewhat old time feeling after walking in like a 90' good old vibe. Clean and neat. The service was excellent and the food as you can see was super good. Big portions. And reasonable price. Definitely will come back again and try another dish!!!

I've been passing by this place for a while and my son and I are always looking for authentic Mexican food. Our service was great as soon as we walked in everyone greeted us with so much kindness. The ambiance was nice a feeling of authenticity! We got menudo and the al pastor plate we enjoyed it but we didn't love it. Would like to come with the family and try more on the menu.

Numero Uno - cheese enchiladas, crispy beef taco, queso, guacamole, rice and beans

Hubby and I wanted something different from our usual Friday spot, so we ventured into Austin and headed to Casa Garcia's on Wm Cannon. We enjoyed Casa G's when's we lived in Kyle and were delighted that this was just as good if not better. It's a sprawling establishment with lots of tables spread between three dining areas. Mariachis were playing live music. The place was packed but we were seated right away. Our waiter was friendly and efficient. The house margaritas were tasty and loaded (even my small rita had a good amount of tequila in it). Tortilla chips were warm and crispy and the salsa was on point. We both ordered the Numero Uno which included 2 cheese enchiladas, a crispy beef taco, a cup of queso, guacamole scoop, rice and beans. Everything was delicious! We also ordered flour tortillas which are made in house and the best I've had in Austin. We will be making the trip into town for Casa G's!

We visited casa Garcia on a Saturday mid afternoon no reservation, we were a large group 14 family members and were seated quickly. Flavor was good, Unfortunately my steak was pretty tough and slightly overcooked. Service was great, fast and food came out fairly fast as well. Thank you for accommodating us so quickly after the restaurant across the street wasn't able to accommodate our group size even with a reservation!

I've driven by El Alma many times being in the Austin area, but I never went until last Thursday, and after surviving a brief monsoon, I was glad to get a few drinks and eat some good TexMex with my large party just before a wedding. The best way to describe El Alma is that it is TexMex that is Austinified. Everything feels a little more unique and special than your classic TexMex options. I started off with a Mezcal Margarita that put a little hair on my chest and got me going. My group ordered two of their Nachitos, which were these nice nachos. For my main entrée, I got 3 Al Pastor tacos on corn with a side of their rice and beans. Their pastor was served with pineapples, onions, and cilantro with limes on the side. They were great and I immediately crushed them all. I thought their rice and beans were pretty good as well and a step above the typical TexMex rice and beans. The server was pretty attentive throughout our whole visit, and I honestly have no complaints about what they had to offer. Pricing on the meal and drinks was pretty standard for Austin, and I didn't think anything really took me out of the experience. On top of that, for being in Barton Springs, there is quite a bit of parking. I would love to come back at some point in the future and hang out on their rooftop bar because that seems like a lot of fun. Shoutout to El Alma for being a TexMex oasis saving me from the MoPac traffic. RIYL: TexMex, but better than your average
