Admittedly I decided to try BussinBuns because their name drew me in, but WOW this is seriously a perfect hot chicken sandwich they're serving up. Their menu is pretty small but they know what they're doing here. I was debating between getting the double bun or single bun, and I ultimately opted for the single bun (heat level in hot, which to me was mild). The portion size of a single bun plus the fries it comes with is impressively filling, and the chicken was so perfectly seasoned and fried that it still remained moist. Nobody likes a dry chicken sandwich which is unfortunately way too common, and this is far from it. The fries were also well seasoned and crisp, and that Bussin sauce was so delicious that next time I'd like to order some extra on the side to dip into. My husband ordered the Bussin combo in extra hot, which was very filling (so it's perfect if you're really hungry!), and we found this level of heat wasn't too bad. Hi, I'd really like to speak to both the food and service here. I've been going here for a few months now, and the food has always been delicious. The chicken is tender and juicy, and not once has it been overcooked. Also, the fries are well seasoned and crispy. Honestly, a highlight for me is the slaw with pickles they add. It tastes fresh and is the perfect balance of crunchy to complement the chicken. As far as service goes, I have yet to have an interaction here that was anything but friendly. They even went so far as to completely refund an order of mine when I placed it at the wrong location, even though it was already made. I had this at the Austin Peace Academy festival and it was the first time I had Nashville style hot chicken right here in Austin and it is awesome! I had been waiting for years for someone to open Dave's Hot chicken here ever since I tried it in LA but this comes 99% close to that taste. I had the HOT flavor which is just the right level of spice. I would say the Hot flavor from Dave's Hot Chicken is a bit more spicier but I like the balanced taste of BussinBuns.
