I've heard of Burtons in Hingham and Westford from friends, and have always heard people speak highly of the restaurant. Unfortunately, both Hingham and Westford are not places that I frequent. I had been wondering what would fill the former Outback space, and heard that this place was finally coming to the area and was excited to try it out. I will agree with one of the other recent reviews, this is one of the better and more appetizing restaurant choices along the Route 9 corridor of Framingham. Sure, there are plenty of stores and amenities; however, there is a lack of really spectacular restaurants (think of what else is available, Olive Garden, ew, TGI Fridays, just average). Burton's is brand new and gorgeous inside. They attract a different clientele and the restaurant is open, spacious, and designed with bright colors. Food was great. Very fast and completely accurate (efficient employees here too by the way). Menu had a decent amount of variety including soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, seafood and more. Typical, expected American fare here at Burtons. Location could be better (I always prefer Route 9 Westbound than the Eastbound side); however it's directly in the middle of all the shopping centers and the hustling and bustling area in Framingham. 5 stars. I'll definitely be back in the future and would highly suggest this place as the best of the chain restaurants in the Framingham area, definitely superior to the rest of the options. read more

Fantastic customer service! I placed an order through door dash and unfortunately one of my meals was left off. I called the restaurant who mentioned I had to contact the vendor. The vendor refunded my meal but this didn't solve the problem that someone in my family still didn't have a meal. The restaurant manager Holly called me back to confirm everything was resolved. I let them know I was all set and refunded for my order. This still didn't sit right with them that I was still missing a meal. Excellent gluten free and they are extremely careful to make sure there is no cross contamination. They even have gf fries and onion rings! Love their burgers. Their red sangria is my favorite. We come here all the time and it's consistently excellent! Definitely recommend! read more

Food 4. Price 3. Service 2 It's difficult, and perhaps unfair, to base a review on one experience. And this was our first time to Burton's, so YMMV. Only a 20 min wait at 6 PM on a Sat. But the place was hopping. They have text-based waitlists, so we were informed when our table was ready. But I got the same "Your table is ready" text three times after we'd already sat down. And still once more after I went to the hostess station to tell them what was going on and they assured me it would stop. The food was average-to-good. The house salad was exceptionally good. And my wife's brisket grilled cheese was terrific. My filet was a tad overdone (I'd ordered it medium rare) but still tender. The twice baked potato was... well... a potato. A little cheese on top and a few pieces of what I presume were chives. Nothing to write home about. Which brings me to price. The grilled cheese and fries was $19, a little pricey for me but my wife said it was worth the money. My filet, on the other hand was disappointedly not worth the $30 for the 6 oz portion. It didn't help that the small cut of meat - probably 4 oz or less after cooking - and the baked potato looked ridiculously small on the large white plate they sat on. I mean, even a handful of some other veg, broccoli, rice, anything would have improved the value and presentation. The 9 oz cut is $37 but I fear it wouldn't have been much better. Add one glass of wine and the total came to just under $80 for two people. Lots of alternatives in the area where you'd get better value for that money. However, it was our server, or rather lack thereof, that was the most unfortunate experience of the evening. It took a while for him to first show up, at which point we were ready to order everything. He never came back to the table until we asked for the check. The food was promptly brought out by runners, but our server spent more time in the back than he did at the tables. No stopping by to see how our food was or if we needed a refresh on our drinks. This alone will prevent us from coming back. Again, this was a single visit, and maybe the service is better with other servers on other nights, but the combination of poor value and bad service doesn't warrant a return visit from us. read more

My lovely wife and I had just got off the Logan Express in Framingham. We were tired ,weary and hungry so I pulled up my Yelp app and discovered this restaurant. Burtons Grill and Bar.We saw that it was very near and had a four star rating.So we decided to give this place a try after all there was 123 reviews from my fellow Yelpers and it still had four stars. That tells me that This place must be good. Well after dining here I can honestly say that place is Awesome! First Let me tell you Burtons has a scratch kitchen, which means everything is cooked from scratch.How cool is that! For appetizers we started with fried real steak and cheese spring rolls.Amazing! Then as for me I am always on the hunt for a great burger so I proceeded to order the Max burger! Wow I was not disappointed at all, as a matter of fact I think this is the Best Burger in the North East! It comes with fried onion rings on it And a special sauce. This Burger was Maxed out and cooked perfect.My wonderful wife has a better taste pallet than mine took one bite and said Wow! That is a Great Burger. I said,I know! I had the fresh cut Parmesan and rosemary fries that Was Outstanding! My wonderful wife had a wonderful not greasy haddock sandwich with sweet potato fries. Very disappointing. Took my daughter for lunch. Offered us this table at the end of a booth but kind of in the middle of the restaurant. Said it was the only one available. There were several open tables. I asked about those. Was told no. Will never go back. Being in the industry myself I expect better service. I really want to like this place! It looks nice, they did a great job on the inside. The menu is decent, many choices for all dietary needs for sure. But, the prices for both drinks and food are just too high. I ordered the house salad entree with crab cake on it and the salad was not exactly as described. It was all romaine, no spinach and had about 2 tiny crumbles of blue cheese and 3 tiny crumbles of bacon. The salad came to me with no dressing on it or on the side, I had to ask. The crab cake was tasty, but for $8, very small. Our waiter was very nice, but a bit forgetful. After we had our drinks and had been there awhile, he asked if we wanted bread and we said yes, but about 3 minutes later, our entrees arrived and no bread every made it to our table. I would have enjoyed having it with my somewhat meager salad. Did not bother to ask since he only checked in immediately after our food arrived and I pointed out the lack of dressing. After that, he never came back until we were finished. My companions both had the fish sandwich which they said was good and looked like a decent portion. Not sure if I'll be back. I do not need huge portions, but I do not appreciate when a restaurant leaves things off an item and is so stingy with things like items on an entree salad. read more

Sunday evening, we ate at Burton's Grill. Earlier that day we made a reservation. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were informed that we didn't have a reservation, even though we showed the front desk our reservation number and verification. It felt like we were in a Seinfeld episode, when Jerry tried to rent a car that he had reserved. Burton's has a reservation system, but it doesn't guarantee that a table is reserved! Huh? After we were finally seated, we were waited on by one of the most inexperienced waitresses. Was this "payback" for complaining and asking why this restaurant had a reservation system? We waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive at our table. In addition, our plates came at different times. First there were two dishes served, then a third. A few minutes later, our fourth dish arrived and finally, our fifth. Our waitress asked if she could clear our table, after she saw that we had finished our meals. She cleared four of the five plates, and left the fifth plate and numerous other small plates on the table. Not exactly clearing our table. We ordered three coffees. She delivered only two! After several minutes, we had to request our third cup, again! So, will we ever visit Burton's Grill again, you ask? What do you think? Good luck reserving a table at that restaurant! read more

Burtons Grill and Bar of Framingham will certainly become a favorite restaurant for my family. It is definitely worth the time and money. The service was prompt, courteous as well as having a good sense of humor and knowledge of their food. Our waiter was able to give guidance to us in our selection of food and drinks that turn out to be great. Our food selections were the Mediterranean Chicken Risotto which was pan-seared chicken with artichoke hearts, spinach, feta, grape tomatoes, basil and pesto blended with pesto which was excellent. The fish of the day was Bronzed Halibut with Risotto made with 3 cheeses, peas and corn all in a light lemon butter sauce which was delicious. My niece had the Street Tacos made with fried fish, guacamole, pickled cabbage, onion, with jicama slaw with roasted corn and zucchini and top it off a black bean salad. Each of our selections were wonderful. Leave room for the dessert, it was excellent. Especially, the Key Lime Pie. Outstanding! It was a delightful evening. read more

New restaurant to Framingham - Metro west area. This is my 2nd time coming here. Both times I dined here with my boyfriend, we had Brianne as our server... First, let me say she is awesome and very attentive! She is really personable and both times we have been in here it has been crazy busy in the restaurant and this girl managed at least 10 tables at once! She's a rockstar in the restaurant industry! If you visit here, (which you needdddd too! I highly recommend requesting being in her section!) Next, the food... OMGGGG AMAZING! So fresh and so delish! The first time we tried out Burtons, we started with the sautéed shrimp app, then my bf got a burger and I enjoyed the carbonara pasta dish. AAHHHH-MA-Zing! Tonight we have been thoroughly enjoying the sautéed shrimp AGAIN and decided to give the philly steak rolls a try.... yum yum yum! And once again I will be enjoying the carbonara! My bf already ate before so no "meal" for him! Lol but we are enjoying the cocktails, food and atmosphere! ... this restaurant is a must! Really wanted to like this place to have a new restaurant option in the area, and it did not disappoint! Sat at the bar. Bar staff was excellent, plenty of seating, and the food was delicious! The acoustics are on point. I can't stand a noisy restaurant that echos, and this didn't at all. The menu is a bit pricier, but in my opinion the food was so good that it's worth the price! Tried it for first time with wife. Nice fix over from the Outback. Relatively small choices on menu but still it was fairly varied. No separate lunch or dinner menu. I had the half serving of chicken with risotto and wife had the fish tacos. Both were excellent. My wife said the coffee was extremely tasty and fresh. Excellent and very attentive server worthy of a tip of more than 20%. Due to limited menu choices and above average prices for the area it probably won't be a frequent go to place but will definitely be back, especially for a special occasion. read more

Been there twice so far and I am not impressed with the food. The first time I had the salmon and it was dry and overcooked. They also had bread and butter available, but it was not offered to us. I noticed the bread and butter after we were done. The second time it was three of us for dinner. We all had the same which was the Ribeye. Mine was more fat then meat. Yes I know Ribeye is more fatty, but this was a lot and did not have much flavor . The substitutes for the baked potato was very limited. I chose the green beans and they definitely seen better days. For the price you should be able to get two sides. We asked for bread and butter, it took 20 min. to get that. The staff was nice but not really attentive . Took some time for us to get the bill settled. Seems a little unorganized behind the bar. read more

We tried to ignore that & ask to order drinks, the first thing he asked was do you have a ID. I definitely look older than 21. The attitude from the start is what got me. I've been to the Hingham location many times and I have loved it. This was my first time coming to the Framingham location and I was shocked at the service we had. Our waitress was never around. Our appetizers were amazing but I ordered a ribeye for a meal and I was given a sirloin. Our waitress didn't bring out our food a different person did and they left our table before I realized my meal was incorrect. I waited for 30 minutes before our waitress finally came to the table so I could tell her my meal was wrong. My fiancé ordered bolognese which came out on time and perfect but he also ordered a side salmon which I know is an odd request but that never came out of the kitchen and he too had to wait 30 minutes for it to come out at that point it was cold and gross. My ribeye had to be cooked so I had to wait an additional 30 minutes for the correct meal to come out and once it did it was amazing however I had to wait an hour while my fiancée was already eating and our waitress still wasn't around and we never got to speak to a manager. I ordered a second drink that I never received and all of this was still on our bill. I don't mind paying for the ribeye I ordered and ended up eating but after the service I was quite annoyed. On our final bill was the full price of the meal as well as a drink I never received. After letting her know our bill was messed up we finally got the drink taken off and they paid for the dessert. Which was nice but again I was just shocked for a meal so expensive to have the service we had and no manager at all come over to us was crazy. Not to mention when they brought me a sirloin instead of a ribeye and my waitress tried to convince me it was a ribeye which was also insanity. The food was incredible but for the amount of money the service just wasn't there. We spent two hours here mostly just waiting for our waitress to even walk by. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the wonderful experience we had here. We were a party if six who showed up at different times. The hostess was friendly and sat me at a perfect table for our group. Very friendly and attentive waitstaff who asked each of us about any food allergies. Food portions were perfect and my burger was cooked medium as requested. It was noon on a Saturday and not very busy yet but by the time we left the place was filling up. I would like to try going in a Friday evening to see how it would compare. Very upscale place to eat in the Framingham area. Went here with one of my girlfriends and we each got a meal. Their drink picks were a little out there, all seeming to have clashing flavors or things people wouldn't normally go for in a drink. So we got waters. I got fish tacos and my friend got a chicken sandwich. Both were super! HIGHLY recommend the rosemary parm fries: they were the best part! Only thing to add was that it was a bit pricey, but since the food was well worth it, we didn't mind splurging. read more

Second, tried to order a burger plain-- no luck, came with lettuce and tomato even though receipt showed plain. When the food is cooked correctly it's good. My husband and I had a great experience a Burton's grill. The decor is so well done and we were greeted by friendly staff. I wanted to try this restaurant because I heard they are very accommodating to patrons with food allergies. I ordered off their gluten free menu and was reassured by the server that all meals are made from scratch and gluten free items prepared separately in their kitchen. They offered me a piece of delicious gluten free bread to start and a manager brought out my meal separately. They truly went above and beyond! The fish tacos were great.
