I really want to like this place! It looks nice, they did a great job on the inside. The menu is decent, many choices for all dietary needs for sure. But, the prices for both drinks and food are just too high. I ordered the house salad entree with crab cake on it and the salad was not exactly as described. It was all romaine, no spinach and had about 2 tiny crumbles of blue cheese and 3 tiny crumbles of bacon. The salad came to me with no dressing on it or on the side, I had to ask. The crab cake was tasty, but for $8, very small. Our waiter was very nice, but a bit forgetful. After we had our drinks and had been there awhile, he asked if we wanted bread and we said yes, but about 3 minutes later, our entrees arrived and no bread every made it to our table. I would have enjoyed having it with my somewhat meager salad. Did not bother to ask since he only checked in immediately after our food arrived and I pointed out the lack of dressing. After that, he never came back until we were finished. My companions both had the fish sandwich which they said was good and looked like a decent portion. Not sure if I'll be back. I do not need huge portions, but I do not appreciate when a restaurant leaves things off an item and is so stingy with things like items on an entree salad. read more

Sat at the bar notice something on the sit & asked the bartender for a napkin to clean it & he instantly had a ln attitude. We tried to ignore that & ask to order drinks, the first thing he asked was do you have a ID. I definitely look older than 21. The attitude from the start is what got me. Sunday evening, we ate at Burton's Grill. Earlier that day we made a reservation. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were informed that we didn't have a reservation, even though we showed the front desk our reservation number and verification. It felt like we were in a Seinfeld episode, when Jerry tried to rent a car that he had reserved. Burton's has a reservation system, but it doesn't guarantee that a table is reserved! Huh? After we were finally seated, we were waited on by one of the most inexperienced waitresses. Was this "payback" for complaining and asking why this restaurant had a reservation system? We waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive at our table. In addition, our plates came at different times. First there were two dishes served, then a third. A few minutes later, our fourth dish arrived and finally, our fifth. Our waitress asked if she could clear our table, after she saw that we had finished our meals. She cleared four of the five plates, and left the fifth plate and numerous other small plates on the table. Not exactly clearing our table. We ordered three coffees. She delivered only two! After several minutes, we had to request our third cup, again! So, will we ever visit Burton's Grill again, you ask? What do you think? Good luck reserving a table at that restaurant! read more

Burtons Grill and Bar of Framingham will certainly become a favorite restaurant for my family. It is definitely worth the time and money. The service was prompt, courteous as well as having a good sense of humor and knowledge of their food. Our waiter was able to give guidance to us in our selection of food and drinks that turn out to be great. Our food selections were the Mediterranean Chicken Risotto which was pan-seared chicken with artichoke hearts, spinach, feta, grape tomatoes, basil and pesto blended with pesto which was excellent. The fish of the day was Bronzed Halibut with Risotto made with 3 cheeses, peas and corn all in a light lemon butter sauce which was delicious. My niece had the Street Tacos made with fried fish, guacamole, pickled cabbage, onion, with jicama slaw with roasted corn and zucchini and top it off a black bean salad. Each of our selections were wonderful. Leave room for the dessert, it was excellent. Especially, the Key Lime Pie. Outstanding! It was a delightful evening. read more

New restaurant to Framingham - Metro west area. This is my 2nd time coming here. Both times I dined here with my boyfriend, we had Brianne as our server... First, let me say she is awesome and very attentive! She is really personable and both times we have been in here it has been crazy busy in the restaurant and this girl managed at least 10 tables at once! She's a rockstar in the restaurant industry! If you visit here, (which you needdddd too! I highly recommend requesting being in her section!) Next, the food... OMGGGG AMAZING! So fresh and so delish! The first time we tried out Burtons, we started with the sautéed shrimp app, then my bf got a burger and I enjoyed the carbonara pasta dish. AAHHHH-MA-Zing! Tonight we have been thoroughly enjoying the sautéed shrimp AGAIN and decided to give the philly steak rolls a try.... yum yum yum! And once again I will be enjoying the carbonara! My bf already ate before so no "meal" for him! Lol but we are enjoying the cocktails, food and atmosphere! ... this restaurant is a must! Really wanted to like this place to have a new restaurant option in the area, and it did not disappoint! Sat at the bar. Bar staff was excellent, plenty of seating, and the food was delicious! The acoustics are on point. I can't stand a noisy restaurant that echos, and this didn't at all. The menu is a bit pricier, but in my opinion the food was so good that it's worth the price! They also have an excellent variety on the menu. Will definitely be returning. read more

Tried it for first time with wife. Nice fix over from the Outback. Relatively small choices on menu but still it was fairly varied. No separate lunch or dinner menu. I had the half serving of chicken with risotto and wife had the fish tacos. Both were excellent. My wife said the coffee was extremely tasty and fresh. Excellent and very attentive server worthy of a tip of more than 20%. Due to limited menu choices and above average prices for the area it probably won't be a frequent go to place but will definitely be back, especially for a special occasion. read more

Been there twice so far and I am not impressed with the food. The first time I had the salmon and it was dry and overcooked. They also had bread and butter available, but it was not offered to us. I noticed the bread and butter after we were done. The second time it was three of us for dinner. We all had the same which was the Ribeye. Mine was more fat then meat. Yes I know Ribeye is more fatty, but this was a lot and did not have much flavor . The substitutes for the baked potato was very limited. I chose the green beans and they definitely seen better days. For the price you should be able to get two sides. We asked for bread and butter, it took 20 min. to get that. The staff was nice but not really attentive . Took some time for us to get the bill settled. Seems a little unorganized behind the bar. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the wonderful experience we had here. We were a party if six who showed up at different times. The hostess was friendly and sat me at a perfect table for our group. Very friendly and attentive waitstaff who asked each of us about any food allergies. Food portions were perfect and my burger was cooked medium as requested. It was noon on a Saturday and not very busy yet but by the time we left the place was filling up. I would like to try going in a Friday evening to see how it would compare. Went to Burtons for a few drinks with my friends on a Sunday afternoon. We had apps also. Apps were okay, enjoyed the buffalo dip! But my friend, the cocktails that were created and served by Lexi were awesome. Lexi is a mixologist! I think I enjoyed my red raspberry martini more than the appetizers. Very upscale place to eat in the Framingham area. Went here with one of my girlfriends and we each got a meal. Their drink picks were a little out there, all seeming to have clashing flavors or things people wouldn't normally go for in a drink. So we got waters. I got fish tacos and my friend got a chicken sandwich. Both were super! HIGHLY recommend the rosemary parm fries: they were the best part! Had take out this time- burgers and fries simple right? First the web site forces you to select cheese- why, no clue. Second, tried to order a burger plain-- no luck, came with lettuce and tomato even though receipt showed plain. When the food is cooked correctly it's good. My husband and I had a great experience a Burton's grill. The decor is so well done and we were greeted by friendly staff. I wanted to try this restaurant because I heard they are very accommodating to patrons with food allergies. I ordered off their gluten free menu and was reassured by the server that all meals are made from scratch and gluten free items prepared separately in their kitchen. They offered me a piece of delicious gluten free bread to start and a manager brought out my meal separately. They truly went above and beyond! The fish tacos were great. Everyone was super friendly starting out with the host when I walked all the way through the management team that came over to my table to introduce himself. My waitress Brenda was phenomenal. The energy that she brought was a 10/10. She checked in on us and always made sure our needs where met. If you go there make sure to ask for her. She will not disappoint. I would give one star, but the drinks, house salad and spinach were good. Everyone's meat was overcooked and overpriced. We won't make the mistake of coming here again for steak. This is a restaurant on every level: food, drinks, service, and ambience. An appetizer came out luke warm. No big deal. We asked our server if it could be reheated, but it couldn't for health and safety reasons. However, the manager arranged for another appetizer to be prepared so we could take it home. He also provided reheating instructions. He also gave us a coupon for a free appetizer on our next visit. My husband said his Old Fashioned was "spot on". We'll definitely visit again for a good meal, good drinks, and great service. read more
