I've had Burning X Korean BBQ bookmarked for a while and I finally stopped by to try it. I love that they have special pricing for weekday lunch at $21.99. I came on a weekend and chose their Premium menu at $38.99 per person. The quality of the meats were good, I was very impressed with the quality of the Beef Tongue and Beef Brisket. The Pork Jowl was also a standout, great texture and not dry at all. They have marinated meats and sides in the buffet area. The price doesn't come with drinks, but it is still a good price for the quality and variety of meats. The service was good - they changed out our grill plate frequently and was helpful when it came to ordering more food. The reason for four stars is because I felt the restaurant wasn't very clean. The floors were oily slick. The tables and surrounding areas were sticky. The restroom/kitchen area had a sewage smell. Overall, I would come back again especially if they don't raise their prices.

I visited this all you can eat Korean bbq spot with spotless meat bar and salad bar. Our server Paul was so friendly, attentive and very helpful. We got the premium menu with pork jowl, Wagyu beef belly, prime galbi. The meat quality was so good, I also love their BanChan. Restaurant was spacious and clean. Overall, everything from the food quality to the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely come back and recommend this spot to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable AYCE Korean BBQ experience.

My buddies and I wanted some delicious Korean BBQ tonight, so we stopped in at Burning X to see what kind of flavor journey we could find- and ZING! It did not disappoint!! First, the service was fast and super efficient. They consistently changed our grill like clockwork, giving us a premium cooking surface that was always clean and ready for the next round! All three of us ordered from Menu A - helping ourselves to the meat and salad bar items. Our server also recommended the Prime Beef Marinated Short Rib from the kitchen, and it was bomb! Soju is on hand and a good time awaits all in this well run establishment. We'll definitely be coming back. 감사합니다 Enjoy!

If you're looking for affordable Korean barbecue during the lunch hour with decent quality, he found a place at burning X. Came by during a weekday for lunch after seeing many positive reviews on yelp. The lunch hour wasn't busy, but still had a respectable crowd. There are certain meats that you have to order with a server, but others you can grab on your own at the meat bar. Selection during the lunch hours is a bit limited, but the beef brisket and beef belly are definitely the winners. About $20 a person, you can't find a better deal nearby. Service is friendly and quick, and the interior is clean, as it can be since this is a Korean barbecue place. Definitive recommend if you're on a budget but want delicious KBBQ.

Came to Burning X Korean BBQ and had a great experience. The space is clean, spacious, and well-kept, with a more traditional KBBQ setup that feels comfortable and not overwhelming. The self-serve banchan bar is super convenient and always stocked, which makes the experience feel easy and relaxed. Meat quality was solid overall, but the beef tongue really stood out -- thinly sliced, tender, and cooked perfectly on the grill. One thing I really appreciated is that this is a spot where you can comfortably dine solo, which is rare for KBBQ places. Service was attentive, food came out quickly, and I never felt rushed. Great option for both groups and solo KBBQ cravings -- I'd definitely come back

New gem found in Tustin. My coworkers celebrated my engagement and it was a nice time. Dinner weekday price was $29.99 and there were options to add better protein as well. I love how easy and convenient and clean this place is for BBQ. Usually these places are packed and quite smokey but this place was good. Maybe they had powerful fans to suck up the smoke but it could also be that they changed our grill 3 times during our 90 minute dining experience. Staff food and efficient. Speaks Korean and a little bit of English. I really liked their kalbi as it's marinated perfectly. The sliced radish are my favorites. Vinegary and crunchy. Their steaks are also good but can be fatty. Will definitely be back again soon.

Great price for AYCE BBQ! They allow reservations and have a big parking lot. The meat quality was good for the price and they had a pretty extensive 'buffet' type bar area with marinated meats and kimchis! We went quite early at 5pm so it was nice and quiet before it started picking up with more customers around 6pm!

Great meat variety and banchan. Some tasted better than others. I do like that I have the option of getting the banchan myself to the amount I would prefer. The service was good and they came over to regularly change our grill. The double grill table tho makes it awkward for a grill change because the servers need to invade your space to change the grill. I definitely felt uncomfortable with how close a proximity they had to come to me or my friends to provide this service. We also had one grill that was working well and one that was barely working which was frustrating when trying to cook for five people.

Adding this KBBQ spot straight into my rotation! They've got a killer lunch special Monday-Thursday from 11:30 AM-3 PM for just $21.99. We went for Combo A today -- 44 items for $26.99 per person -- and it was so good. You can really taste the quality in their meats, and I found myself going back for pork belly and galbi over and over again. They also have a self-serve buffet station in the center where you can grab your own meats and banchan, which I love because you never have to flag down a server for more sides. Overall, the vibes were great, the music was bopping, and the service was on point. Definitely coming back.

Burning X really surprised me. Lately I have been eating AYCE KBBQ too many times that the flavor and meat quality has been just okay and these spots claimed to be really top tier kbbq spots has been a let down. It's good but not OMG, I want to go back again vibes. BUT!!! Burning X's LA Galbi, is absolutely delicious. I am soooo in LOVE. To the point we stopped eating the marinated boneless short rib, rib finger, wagyu beef belly, premium short ribs, pork jowls and just focused on LA Galbi with the 3 bones. We order 5 orders. It comes in a set of two. It really has a great balance of flavor not being too salty or sweet or bland and the tenderness, amazing . Honestly all the pieces were excellent! Next time, I'm gonna ignore all the meats and just get the LA Galbi Short Rib ( with the bones)!!! I also enjoyed their kimchi bar, the pickled soy onions & radish and their salad with all of my LA Galbi Short Rib pieces. Absolute heaven and the service was amazing!

Came here on a weeknight and it wasn't busy. The parking lot is big as it shares it with other neighboring establishments. It's kind of set up differently than other KBBQ that I'm used to. The premium meats come out to you, but other "common" proteins are all self served. Ex, bulgogi, Teri chicken Most of the banchans (side dishes) are also self served. Kim chee, cucumber Kim chee, daikon rounds, etc... Rice paper and chapchae are brought out. Rice is also self served. The meats were ok. I didn't see on the menu, nor did I ask tho, but there wasn't any steamed egg, spicy tofu soup or bean sprouts. I really enjoy these whenever I KBBQ. Service was great. Our grill got changed right away when it got dirty. Our dirty plates were taken away quickly too. Would I come back? Probably not, there are a ton of other restaurants that I would like to try.

Came here for the first time with friends right when it opened. First impression walking in was the smell of bleach and sewage. Had to go to the bathroom and the girls restroom is so gross! Looks like the ground has mold or something nasty on it and it smells like sewage pipes. The sink is also green from them not cleaning it properly. Their menu also says "wagyu-like", immediately a flag. Cheesy sales tactic to make it seem like the meat is good quality. The first round of meat wasn't good, very tough and their marinade is too sweet and heavy. You can see in the pics of the brisket that it's tough and barely any fat in the middle. The beef belly was probably the best meat we had but compared to other places it was below average. Pork belly was not as tender. They didn't have any steamed eggs and the sides were not very good either and cold. Service wasn't that good either, I had to flag the server down multiple times to order more food and change the grill. We kept running out of food while the grill burned since we couldn't put in orders in a timely manner and the meat was slow to come out.

Such a great place for korean barbecue! The place is spotless and the staff is very attentive. They did an excellent job at switching our grill. We got their basic combo and it comes with so much meat! Some you order, some available at the buffet. Meats- Always fresh! My favorites are the brisket, garlic butter pork belly, spicy pork belly (would recommend grilling it crispy) and hawaiian beef bulgogi (the pineapple ring that comes with it is -chefs kiss). Sides- You get a variety of them. You can't beat the classic salad. Also a fan of corn cheese, pickled cucumber and radish. I like to sear the fish cakes on the grill. Great experience overall!

Is it full price of the regular A menu for 1 person to eat $29? I checked on the menu QR code and the lunch special doesn't specify anywhere that I need to have two people to get that price. I just tried to go in and eat just now at 12:26pm.

i was just there and their lunch is 21.99 and offers a "semi buffet AYCE"

What's the cost for a weekday lunch?

I believe it $26.99 per person and then for premium it's around $38-39 per person

Do they have the mashed potato salad?

No sadly they don't have a lot sides

How many minimum person can dine in?

They do not accept solo diners, in fact they're very rude about it.

Is there still outdoor dining/cooking? Thanks

No.. Everything is back indoors once again.

Is this all you can eat kbbq?

Yes it's an ayce buffet and menu place.

Can you take home cooked meat that you couldn't finish?

Generally no at least not knowingly.

Can you get the $24 for weekends?

Yes you can. However, I was there with a party of 4 for a 1 1/2 hours and was only able to order food 2 times for a total of 6 meats. Also, no rice the entire time and very limited on sides. Meat was also very fatty this time. After my… Read more

    Yes

    Do they have vegan food?

    LOL. What a dumb question.

Do the combos come with side dishes and soybean paste soup/kimchi soup and steamed egg?

Steam egg its like 5 or 7 bucks per order the stwes I do not remember but if I was u I go somewhere else it's nasty quality of beef is horrible. Good luck

Was curious if you guys are still asking for proof of vaccination?

They are not currently requiring vaccination cards

Hello! Good question! An experienced chef takes care of all the ingredients, kitchen food, and meat himself, you can grill meat on your own with your grill.

Their pickup window is conveniently located in a room prior to entering the restaurant, in comparison to the Brea location it's a plus, as you bypass having to navigate past the hostess area during busy hours. Our order included their lunch gumbo and southern favorite platter (their appetizer sampler) Their gumbo never misses, always a 10/10. Big pieces of shrimp, sausage, and shrimp, paired with white rice. For $10 it's a steal! The portion may appear modest but, trust me it's filling. Their southern favorite included spinach and cheeze dip, cheese curds, fried pickle spears, onion straws, and a jalapeño cheddar sausage for $19. Overall it's also a great value for how much food they give you! The pickle spears, never miss. The dip, how can you go wrong? The sausage was great. The onion straws and cheese curds would have been phenomenal however, because I ordered it for takeout, they were soggy by the time got to them. They also included 6 rolls with my ordered which was much appreciated as it seems to be luck of the draw on how many rolls they'll provide with a to go order. Overall a solid location, tons of parking, friendly staff, and the food is consistent with their other locations.

All the tables were full and there was one party of 11 just ahead of us. Our wait for a table was like 30 minutes or so. Once we were up we were guided to a table towards the back for five. Our server asked if we been here before and if we wanted anything else besides water to drink. My brother and his fiance split a full order of the beef ribs and side order of sauteed garlic green beans. My mom and step dad split a full order of beef ribs while I ordered a full rack of baby back ribs which came with two side orders. I picked coleslaw and onion rings which I shared with the family. The food came out promptly. Everyone enjoyed their food. The baby back ribs were moist with flavor, smoked and went well with their bbq sauce. The rest of the family really like their beef ribs. And they even commented that it was better than the other bbq places we been to. Definitely will return and highly recommend.

*** SCAM ALERT *** I…read moredon't use the word "SCAM" lightly, but that's what this was. My adult son called in a $281.62 order off the menu for Mother's Day. They would not accept the order or payment over the phone because the order was "too big." They asked that someone go there and pay up front for the entire order. Since it was the evening before Mother's Day, I drove to them and paid for the order. Yes, I was also presented with a minumum 20% TIP screen, which I declined. When I got there at pickup time (4:00pm) on Mother's Day, the price changed to $325.51. I was told that, for some reason, they had cut about 50% larger portions than the menu specified (see the line items, which should have been 1 lb. each), so they charged me for the difference ($325.51 - $281.62) which was $43.89 (about 50% more for the 2 items they cut heavier). No, there was no mention when I placed the order that the total cost might change due to extra meat. Neither is it shown on their web site or printed menus. When I protested, there was no option. If I don't pay the $43.89 difference, I don't get the Mother's Day food. After about 20 minutes of bickering at the counter with two different clerks (note the time stamp differences on the credit card slips), I was given my original order, with a net price reduction of ($281.62 - $254.93) $26.69. My persistence had paid off. On a positive note, the cook did, twice, walk up to me and quietly apologize for what was going on. I know many folks would have folded in this situation, but that's not my nature. I don't stand for dishonesty. Yes, it was embarrassing, other clients in line were not happy (I let them skip ahead of me so as not to inconvenience them). None of them had price increases. I don't know if the clerks wanted a tip because the management doesn't pay them much, or it this goes deeper and is standard operating procedure that assumes most clients will simply approve of the overage and pay up. In any case, from this client's point of view, this is a SCAM! When it was all over, I took my 11 and 12 year old grandsons (who had been sitting patiently waiting for grandpa to pay) and my food package to the car, drove home and proudly presented the meat to my family. After all, I am a hunter-gatherer; and the food was great!

I finally found a BBQ spot that offers amazing vegan BBQ! Bree Haag BBQ absolutely delivered. I…read moreordered the BBQ Judgement plate with vegan BBQ, potato salad, and macaroni and cheese, plus the Hawg Eggs and banana pudding, everything was flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with care. Even through delivery, the food arrived fresh and delicious. It's so refreshing to find a BBQ place with legit vegan options that don't feel like an afterthought. I'm already planning to check the restaurant out in person soon. Highly recommend for both vegans and BBQ lovers alike!

I've made yet ANOTHER disappointing trip to Brew Hawg. Not because the food was bad. I've been…read morethere in the past and the food was good - the root beer was excellent - and they served the food hot and fast. Unfortunately, it appears that they have changed their business model. Just like the last time, I arrived well before closing. Just like last time, the lights were on. Just like last time, the "Open" sign was lit Just like last time, the front door was - LITERALLY - wide open. Just like last time, the same woman behind the counter informed me they were closed. Closed? I'm not sure what the sign, the lights, and the open door are for, but they do not appear to be indicators that the establishment is open for business. Points for ambiance, I suppose. So, I guess I'll update my review to: DON'T BOTHER.

Thankfully, our waitress had amazing recommendations! The Cucumber Watermelon Lemonade (alcoholic) did not disappoint! Super refreshing and definitely very 'watermelony' lol As for my Loaded Jumbo Sweet Potato with pulled pork... yeah, 'jumbo' is exactly the right word . I had to save the other half for later lol. But I really enjoyed the mix of the sweet potato's sweetness with the savory flavors of everything else. I'd definitely come back and try more of the menu!

Overall I left with mixed feelings, but did enjoy the meal all things considered. Sauced is located in the Cinemark plaza across from Pitfire. Parking directly in front is limited, but there is plenty in the surrounding area. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, along with bar seating. I'd recommend making a reservation in advance as it can get busy. Service was pretty good overall, our server was friendly and the manager was making the rounds too which was nice. My only critique is that it did take a little bit of time to get service on things when we needed it, but did have things addressed quickly once we'd get our servers attention. On the food front, I got the ribs, brisket, mac & cheese, green beans, baked beans, and slaw. The brisket and ribs both came out very dry unfortunately, but the ribs were flavorful (the provided bbq sauces also helped). The mac & cheese was on the grainy side, but the baked beans and green beans were delicious. The Cole slaw was fine, a bit bland but nothing to write home about. I must admit that the food tasted better when I had ordered takeout a couple years back, which is why I had hoped today's meal would be even better than it was. It's also a pretty pricey meal for how much food you get, so I was hoping the quality of the meat would've been better. I don't think this place is bad by any means, but it does feel like the quality has gone down. I'd certainly be open to visiting again in the future, and hope things are better next time.
