We want to try this place after seeing them on IG, and we were not disappointed. The place is located in wide open plaza so no worry about parking. The service was a little slow but it is seems like only one person was working. She was the hostess, the server, and the cashier. She did her best to accommodate everyone, so I give her credit for that. In term of food, we choose the lunch special so we have limited amount of meat to order but we usually only care for brisket and beef belly so it doesn't matter. They also have a self serve salad bar and marinated meat which they keep it clean. It is interesting that they serve miso soup at a Kbbq place. The meat quality was good but it also hit and missed. Some plate of brisket, the meat is chewy since there is no fat. The last plate of beef belly was mainly fat and no meat. I do have to ding them some point due to the fact that their banchan plate at the salad bar seems sticky and the table too. For $21.99 lunch AYCE, though, I can't complain much. Hidden gem in OC?! First - value is amazing. $30 AYCE **dinner** for adults. Kids are $15. Really little kids are free. The guy eyeballed my children (3&5) and said the three year old was free. Five year old was half price (but mine is on the taller side so maybe a very small five year old could still be free.) Second - This is a combo self-serve/order place. They have meat (marinated chicken, pork, etc) at self serve, as well as self-serve banchan (jangajji, cucumbers, kimchi) and salas. Third - Four large tables in the back for parties of 8-10 and lots of tables in general. Good setup. Fourth - The service was amazing. They were very attentive with our grills and swapped them out constantly. They also took many rounds of orders. Fifth - You're limited to three orders per grill, 90 minutes per party. I really liked the yakiniku galbi & marinated short rib. The premium menu has beef tongue but all their normal offerings were so good that I didn't feel like we missed out. I've had Burning X Korean BBQ bookmarked for a while and I finally stopped by to try it. I love that they have special pricing for weekday lunch at $21.99. I came on a weekend and chose their Premium menu at $38.99 per person. The quality of the meats were good, I was very impressed with the quality of the Beef Tongue and Beef Brisket. The Pork Jowl was also a standout, great texture and not dry at all. They have marinated meats and sides in the buffet area. The price doesn't come with drinks, but it is still a good price for the quality and variety of meats. The service was good - they changed out our grill plate frequently and was helpful when it came to ordering more food. The reason for four stars is because I felt the restaurant wasn't very clean. The floors were oily slick. The tables and surrounding areas were sticky. The restroom/kitchen area had a sewage smell. I wanted to update my review since its been awhile and they have changed their menu since. I recently came here during the weekend for lunch with one other person. We got their most basic menu. You can order meats off the menu or grab the ones at the self service bar. They also had some banchan at the self service bar. All of the meats we ordered and got were all good for the price. We enjoyed everything we got. And at the end we were able to get shin ramen. The staff was a little understaffed but they were pretty good about making sure we always had meats. We've been here twice already, our first time during dinner time and recently during their Lunch time. I told my husband that when we are in Los Angeles and he has the chance and the time to drive to BURNING X KOREAN BBQ, then do so. The first time we tried it here I already liked the concept of having 2 WAYS of getting meats. ONE is the regular way most AYCE BBQ do which is by ordering your meats from your server. and they will deliver them to you. The ADDITIONAL way which is already included in their normal is their buffet area, where YOU go to their buffet area ( SELF SERVE ) which is FULL OF MEAT SELECTIONS you can get on your own , which are mostly all marinated. I really enjoyed the 2 ways you can get your meats. MY HUSBAND and SON mostly ordered their food at their menu with our server. AND I mostly went to the long buffet tables of meats and got what I wanted. I mostly picked the Spicy marinated meats. I like how I could choose my own meats and the amount I could get, I could bring as many meats as I wanted to our table. I'm already satisfied with SELF SERVE area , the one you can get your own, BUT there are also few on the menu that are not at the self serve buffet tables like STEAK, SHRIMPS, SHORT RIBS and a few more. Those are the ones you need to ask your server to get for you in their kitchen. Our server also delivered Banchans for our table, but again I went to their buffet tables and got as many banchan that I liked. So their buffet tables are organized where the LEFT side are VEGGIES or pickled veggies like KIMCHI , SPICY CUCUMBER and other things, and the other side buffet table has all the MARINATED MEATS. We enjoyed both the ones from their AYCE MENU and the TABLE BUFFET ( SELF SERVE ) , they both have very well marinated and delicious meats. The quality of the meats here are not that High, but the way they marinated their meats here are delicious! Another reason that I also came back here is their Customer service, no matter which staff I bumped into or whoever comes to our table, they are all very nice ones, as in very nice ones. Honestly, I had mixed feelings about this place. The banchan are self-serve, which is nice since you can always go back and get more. However, the service was just decent--not the best. We definitely had to wait quite a while to get additional rounds of meat, so it ended up feeling like a bit of a waiting game. The first round of meat was great--when you're hungry, it definitely hits the spot! But the subsequent rounds were just okay. I'm also not sure how clean the place was. Honestly probably one of the better AYCE kbbq places out there. We went around 4 pm on Mother's Day and were seated right away. However, once we were seated, and needed to order more meats, it was more difficult. We had to flag the server down several time to order or get water refills. The restaurant had maybe 20 tables, so kind of smallish. The way this place runs is very unique. There is a mini salad bar that has kimchi, mixed greens, radish, and a couple of raw veggies to grill. They also have a meat bar that has a bunch of different types is marinated meats. There is also a kitchen order of meats that you can order from the menu. It's a nice self service model. The meats were very fresh and the marinade were good. I typically don't order chicken, but their teriyaki chicken was very good. Their short rib was also very good and had little fat marbling. Don't know where to start but me and my friend came here because of the good reviews and we are frequent kbbq eaters. From the second we walked in, it was a dark dim atmosphere. We were seated where the sides were already on the tables looking very dry. The salt in the saucer was hard for the both of us as if it had been sitting out all day. By the buffet, the sauce trays and sides were stacked on top of one another in a cart just sitting there exposed. There was a foul odor by the buffet we could not stand to get anything from that area. There was raw meat marinating in the buffet that had looked like it was sitting out all day. At this point, we were so disturbed. There was a big fan propped up blowing over our table and food. When they were cleaning the table next to us, they took the sides and sauces right under the fan where it was visibly dirty with dust. The server came by one time to take our order and never returned after. After eating the meat, we had a burning/bubbly stomach ache all night. Came here on a weeknight and it wasn't busy. The parking lot is big as it shares it with other neighboring establishments. It's kind of set up differently than other KBBQ that I'm used to. The premium meats come out to you, but other "common" proteins are all self served. Ex, bulgogi, Teri chicken Most of the banchans (side dishes) are also self served. Kim chee, cucumber Kim chee, daikon rounds, etc... Rice paper and chapchae are brought out. Rice is also self served. The meats were ok. I didn't see on the menu, nor did I ask tho, but there wasn't any steamed egg, spicy tofu soup or bean sprouts. I really enjoy these whenever I KBBQ. Service was great. Our grill got changed right away when it got dirty. Our dirty plates were taken away quickly too. Would I come back? Came here for the first time with friends right when it opened. First impression walking in was the smell of bleach and sewage. Had to go to the bathroom and the girls restroom is so gross! Looks like the ground has mold or something nasty on it and it smells like sewage pipes. The sink is also green from them not cleaning it properly. Their menu also says "wagyu-like", immediately a flag. Cheesy sales tactic to make it seem like the meat is good quality. The first round of meat wasn't good, very tough and their marinade is too sweet and heavy. You can see in the pics of the brisket that it's tough and barely any fat in the middle. The beef belly was probably the best meat we had but compared to other places it was below average. Pork belly was not as tender. They didn't have any steamed eggs and the sides were not very good either and cold. Service wasn't that good either, I had to flag the server down multiple times to order more food and change the grill. We kept running out of food while the grill burned since we couldn't put in orders in a timely manner and the meat was slow to come out. read more

Even though the prices have slowly been increasing over time, we still keep coming back. They have good beer and a great selection for the various all-you-can-eat options. We are always fully satisfied with the cheapest tier, which is currently $29.99 for the basic option. Our favorite item is the beef belly. We always cook raw onions, garlic, and jalapenos with ours, and it tastes great. I eat mine with rice paper, and my fiance eats hers with white rice, both of which are included in the price. We also get some pork belly here and there, and all of the side dishes are great too. Overall, it is a great place that is starting to get really popular now. We got their basic combo and it comes with so much meat! Some you order, some available at the buffet. Meats- Always fresh! My favorites are the brisket, garlic butter pork belly, spicy pork belly (would recommend grilling it crispy) and hawaiian beef bulgogi (the pineapple ring that comes with it is -chefs kiss). I am a frequent diner at this establishment and it's going to continue to be that way. Their meats quality is some of the best I've had for the price (which is pretty affordable, especially if you go before dinnertime). The servers are quick and accommodating. Even other members of the staff are above and beyond (to the gentleman who loves the Chargers, you're the best!) and give you the experience you pay for. My favorite part is the meat/veggies bar. The double grill table tho makes it awkward for a grill change because the servers need to invade your space to change the grill. I honestly hate being "that person" who leaves a one-star review, especially when a place has decent ratings, but this was hands down the worst KBBQ experience I've ever had. Not only was the restaurant noticeably dirty, but I am currently writing this feeling physically sick to my stomach. We came in today (07/16/26) between 5:15 PM and 5:45 PM, and yes, we didn't even last 30 minutes because the environment was so hostile. The older lady working during this shift was shockingly, unbelievably rude to my husband and me. The second we walked in, she was yelling and pointing at the table she wanted us to sit at. I understand people have bad days, but she was a straight-up nightmare to us and to every other table she touched. She was practically throwing and slamming down the driest, saddest side dishes on our table. When it came time to order, she barked "meat?" at us, took our order, and immediately sprinted away before we could even finish adding what we wanted. The absolute only positive thing I can say is that the meat itself was alright.... not bad.... but definitely not worth the horrible vibes, the dirty restaurant, or the stomach ache and head aches we have now. The single bright spot was a male employee right at the end of our meal who was smiling, helpful, and genuinely kind to us.
