Literally so good, I'm not even kidding. Always taste fresh and delicious, especially the kimchi rice. Service is pretty fast too, don't have to wait long and it's usually quiet whenever I go.

Wow, there's authentic, healthy Korean food right in the middle of the Park Cities! I stopped by Burning Rice to try things out and can verify that you can save the drive up north by having Korean close by. For those unfamiliar, Bibimbap is just simply Korean version of fried rice but with a lot of healthy veggies and meat combined together with rice and some tasty sauces. I would call it a non-oily, healthy version of fried rice but every bit as tasty. Check it out! We ordered the abundant bowl which is a lot of food and also a regular bibimbop and enjoyed everything.

I decided to order in delivery from Burning Rice for lunch. I was excited to try something new and was certainly not disappointed. In addition to the beef bowl, I enjoyed the dumplings. The dumplings were gone before I could take a photo ... I really enjoyed them. The beef bowl was also lovely. I'm sure I'll be ordering from here more often!

I enjoyed the concept of Burning Rice a lot. After all, bibimbap made-to-order stores and chains exist, but they almost always bypass the hot stone bowl part. I'm glad that here you can design your own bowl AND it comes in the sizzling hot stone bowl. The only issue is that I found it to be a little lacking in flavor and the meat was a bit tough. May have been an unfortunate batch/maybe we were meant to put more sauce on it. Overall, though, it is worth a try and I hope to be back!

4.5 stars Burning rice is delicious fast food chain serving Korean stone bowls (bibimbap) that consists of rice, a variety of veggies, and a protein topped with a fried egg. Being a bibimbap fanatic, this is one of our must eat places whenever we visit the DFW area. I love that there's so many variety of items to choose from and you can customize pretty much everything in your bowl, including how you want your egg (sunny side, over easy, medium, well done, or scrambled) My husband and I always get the hot stone bowl and it word of caution it comes super steamy hot!!! The food tastes and smells delicious but it's so hot you really have to pace yourself. This time around we got the bbq pork, bbq chicken and crispy chicken as proteins, all very yummy, and they give you a good portion as well. My only complaint is that you can tell they add a lot of oil at the bottom of the stone bowl so by the end of my bowl everything was drenched in oil. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed our meal very much. Next time we're in town, will definitely be back!

We decided to try out a different location of Burning Rice. This time around we ordered the spicy bulgogi and spicy garlic pork bibimbap. The spicy bulgogi was a huge disappointment. Although the flavor was okay, the shredded texture wasn't appealing. Alas, both the spicy bulgogi and the spicy garlic pork weren't spicy at all. The word "spicy" should be removed from the menus since it is misleading. We also ordered the Korean fried chicken bites (not pictured), which was far superior compared to the spicy bulgogi bibimbap. I'm open to trying other items on the menu, but I'm not ordering the bulgogi again.

Great food, good service. Ordering and paying is quick and easy. Socially distanced table. Food options are great. Mix and match however you want, but really it's build the bowl you want. Ingredients were fresh. Definitely will be back to try combinations of other bowls. Happy eating!

Burning rice is a great customizable bibimbap chain. Perfect for picky eaters. I would recommend paying the extra money for a hot stone bowl; it really does make a big difference. You can skip the miso soup, though, since it gets cold super fast and is nothing too special.

I've never had BBQ this tasty, and it's on another level compared to the places I've gone to back home. As I worked my way down the line, everyone was helpful with asking if I wanted bread, what deserts were worth trying, and closing the transaction. The workers who clean off the tables are also amazing. I was able to practice my Spanish with them. Thank you Hard Eight BBQ for making me feel welcome. We ate inside and it was nice and cool the room with the long communal table. I would say they need to be on tables to wipe them down before the next people sit down, maybe figure some fly control & clean up/ touch up paint the walls in that front room. The brisket and pork ribs were decent, but honestly pretty dry and lacking in flavor when compared to some other BBQ places in DFW. For the price, it's pretty similar to other BBQ in the area. The Texas Twinkie is a jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese and brisket and wrapped in bacon. It was my favorite item as the cream cheese and bacon balanced out the spiciness of the jalapeño. The mac n cheese was also delicious with the perfect amount of spice. The service was great too as they made a mistake on my order and quickly corrected it. I like that this place is open daily and for dinner too. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're in the area and looking for some BBQ, but if you're a huge fan of BBQ then I recommend going to the other top BBQ places.

Go! The Real Deal!…read moreNow that we have that out of the way, let's explore further. I will start by saying Hurtado was close to scoring a 5 Star review but fell short for one,Major reason. My memories of the farmers market area of Dallas Texas are some of my earliest. Going back decades to when it was an actual farmers market. You know, where farmers load trucks of fresh produce and travel 10s or hundreds of miles in order to sell the fruits of their labor and make a living. Well, starting about 40 years ago, that small farmer ethos started fading and the powers that be implemented a Farmers Market Redevelopment Plan. Bingo, that's where we are today. A popular multiuse, living, working, resturant, shopping district that's self sustaining on the edge of downtown. Enter Hurtado and another startegiclly placed outpost for their award winning Texas BBQ with a twist. Located in a new architecturally pleasing building, the only potential barrier between you and the brisket is parking. On my Tuesday lunch this wasn't a problem but at busier times, keep this in mind. When you enter, the place is bright and clean with staff waiting to make your visit count. The hostess even brought us menues as we looked up at the wall menu choices, nice touch. Before long we decided and slid up the counter to order. Ordering, paying, taking our number and beverage glasses, was easy peasy. In case your inclined, there is a full bar which may entice my return visit . Full array of soft drinks and ice tea is also handy. We took a comfortable booth and only wait ed a few minutes ( long enough for our delicious hand cut fries to cook) before our "El Jeffe" was delivered to our table. After the drooling stopped we dove in sharing, brisket, ribs, hatch Chili Mac n cheese, brisket beans, bread, pulled pork, burnt ends, hand cut fries and Texas Twinkies. The food here is excellent. Made with love as Texas Barbecue has to be. Service with a smile is the deal clincher. I will return for a follow up review and reveal what kept me from serving up the 5 th star! For now I recommend you... Go!
