piece of the spicy tuna. i've gotten spicy tuna many places & this was not it. also it does not look fresh
Lindsey B.

I'm not one to write reviews but one of the reasons I came here was bc i saw the good reviews... i was very disappointed. honestly i think the workers were the reason the whole experience was bad. the poke is actually the worst i've had. I also asked for a sauce on the side & wasn't responded to then went back to ask again & the other worker told me it was extra... the tuna looks sus at best. i would never rec this to anyone & that's unfortunate bc i love poke.

Still a delicious spot in the hill area of walnut hill. Great spot to pick up food from multiple venues (makes for a happy family!) and enjoy some nice dining al fresco. We've added The Hill in our regular rotation of mice weather day spots! The kids love running around and the adults enjoy imbibing on patios!

Typically I love this place but today I had gotten a bad batch of tuna, my pieces were hard ??? It actually made me throw up. The customer service was also weird

Just threw out my entire bowl of poke because the second I tasted it I realized the spicy salmon/spicy tuna were old and would get me sick. I literally asked the person working there if everything was fresh and he confirmed. Cream cheese is warm and nasty.

Cute interior! Mindy made our bowls quick and it was delicious and fresh. Will def be coming back :)

Hidden at the side is this Pokeworks at The Hill. Non-stop takeout orders being filled this weeknight. Pleasant enough and efficient were the assemblers. A regular size signature bowl of Spicy Ahi I had. Fresh was the ahi tuna, delicious Sriracha Aioli, and, I loved the textures of the condiments to each bite. From this visit, I am now aware of the measly spoonful of substituted cauliflower rice for the additional cost. Being so, my perfect bowl will cost $6 more for the cauliflower rice. Hmmm - worth it?!? CHEERS!

I've been here quite a few times in the past and although I really love poke, I feel like the quality of fish here has gone down a bit. The salmon doesn't look quite as fresh as it did in the past, and I'm surprised they didn't throw out the fish chunks that weren't fresh/turning brown. I ended up getting shrimp because I was too nervous about ordering the fish. All the other ingredients are good though! I will probably go to other places for poke for the time being though.

Poke is one of my favorites foods and having practically lived off it last month in Hawaii, I was definitely craving it so happened to stumble upon this place and decided to try for lunch! So happy I did! It's crazy good ! And really super reasonably priced too!! Had a spicy poke bowl which was delicious. You can take it as it comes or customize it! I added some extra jalapeños and Thai spice to kick it up a notch! So good! Wish I had one of these places near me ! Love it

Was so excited to check out poke for the first time and with Pokeworks options I was even more excited. However, this excitement diminished event more when I picked up my bowl. I ordered my food online as I had to get back to work quickly. I liked the various options that they had--shrimp, salmon, chicken, kale, pineapple, green onions, peppers, cream cheese, avocado, and so many others. I picked the two protein bowl with shrimp and spicy salmon along with an array of toppings and sushi rice. However, my bowl was mostly rice with just a sprinkle of toppings. I am not sure the salmon was even in the bowl. I likes that the bowl was a littlw warm, but that was it that I liked. I was not super impressed.

Do yourself a favor and get the feta fries. Man…read more I live down the street from this place and the first time I stopped was kind of by luck. I got the gyro spicy wrap and feta fries and went to mouth heaven. I could easily split the wrap and regular order of fries with someone and both of us would be full and not broke. Prices are totally fair for portions, and the quality has been consistent every time I've eaten there. I hope it never closes down.

Today was definitely not up to scratch for this location. ******************* The rice was flavorless as was the Gyro meat. It was not good. Very little flavor and pretty much reminded me of cardboard. I ordered Gyro Rice Bowl - gyro meat served over basmati rice, with a side salad of onions, tomatoes, and cucumbers, all topped with Ziki Sauce. Very little GYRO meet and as previously mentioned, the only flavor that I really got was salt. It was a salt bomb. I kept chewing on something crunchy like dirt maybe from lettuce. It was not washed well. I don't know, but it was gritty and this is not normal. I have had this exact same order many times from this location and have loved it every time. I don't know if they're under new management or just they need better attention to the product but today was not a good day. I left feeling that I had not received the product that I came for and overpaid for the product that I got. Very dissatisfied. Sad, I was looking forward to this for my dinner. I won't be stopping here again for a long time.

My mouth waters when I think about the dinner - and our visit was a month ago! 2. Husband had the lamb burger. He still hasn't stopped talking about how good it was. 3. The service was excellent. The waiter was SO polite, SO well dressed. I felt like I was in a fancy European bistro. 4. Which brings me to the ambiance. I felt a tad under-dressed. We were not planning on going there, it was a random choice. (A great one, mind you!) We had dropped my son off at the airport and were waiting for his flight to take off, so we decided to grab sthg to eat. It was a little fancier than a "cafe," in my opinion. Beautiful tile floors - the name of the restaurant was right there in the foyer (on the floor). Fancy. Lovely. Delicious. We'll be back next month. Bringing the mother-in-law this time!

The restaurant is located in a complex that is pretty busy, and parking is pretty tight. I would recommend parking in the garage behind the restaurant or trying to snag a spot in the Trader Joe's parking lot. We made reservations on Saturday morning for Saturday evening, and the restaurant was busy but not too packed. Our server was attentive and very helpful. The ambiance is very nice, and the restaurant is decorated pretty well. We started with several appetizers and a couple of cocktails. We got the lamb meatballs, the hummus, the calamari, and the roasted cauliflower. All of it was delicious. For entrees, we got the adana kebab, the salmon kebab, and the cheese pizza thing (forgot the actual name!). All of it was delicious but the Adonna kebab was amazing. The Salman in kebab was a little bit dry and overcooked but still tasty. We will definitely be back and hopefully in the future, we can sit on the patio when the weather is nicer.

Nothing outstanding, but decent, especially because they were pretty slammed on a Saturday evening. Where it fell short for me was the food and beverages, which is kind of a big deal. I ordered a drink that was OJ, Sprite and vanilla. It was waaaaay too sweet and the OJ tasted like it had been in a pitcher that also was used for mimosas. It needed some cream, not vanilla syrup. It was just impossibly sweet, and pretty much undrinkable. For an appetizer, we had the spinach and artichoke dip. It was good- not outstanding, but good. Not worth $19, that's for sure. It felt more like a $14 effort. For my entree, I had the Chinese chicken salad which I initially had to send back because it was so spicy. There is no indication on the menu description that this dish is spicy, but when I voiced concern to the waiter that it was not edible, he said they could take out the chili oil. I really wish they had listed this as a separate ingredient on the menu description. I cannot remember a time in my adult life I have ever sent something back on account that it was too spicy, because restaurants typically mention that and it can be modified. I felt wasteful sending it back, but it could've been avoided by communicating that the dish is spicy. Not just spicy, but it was like on fire spicy where I could not taste any other flavors. The Chinese Chicken Salad also had tortilla strips instead of wonton crisps. It says it on the menu, but I wasn't prepared for how much this dialed down the joy-factor in the dish. I didn't like it. The only upside to the dish was the chicken itself which was sous vide and was delicious. Overall beautiful restaurant but I did not enjoy the food or drink at all. I wish I had a better experience- I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant but felt like the misses here were just sloppy planning.
