Came here a year or so ago and they were just ok. Tonight, they were what I would call as pretty dang good! We did a build our own bowl and their Teriyaki Chicken from their Hot Hawaii menu. Both were fantastic! The service was pretty good, nothing to complain about. They seemed a little busy for just one person to be up front, and I waited longer than I would like because of it, but for good food I will tolerate it. The ambiance is where these places could really improve. It has limited seating and is pretty basic. It is not designed for anyone's being excited to eat here.

I like to get the salad mix with brown rice as my base. Then I get spicy tuna and spicy salmon. It is not spicy at all, and I love these two fish! You get to choose your own toppings, and the only add ons that cost money are masago and avocado. The workers are really nice, and it's a quiet place to eat with a friend or even alone. It does get pretty expensive, but it's worth going to if you want to eat something cold! For sauces, I mix the sriracha aioli and Pokeworks Classic.

We ordered poke works and while eating found sharp bones in our food which you normally would not expect in a poke bowl? Kinda disappointed because the food tastes great otherwise; and no compensation is given to us either even with the photo evidence

Tried this place for the first time, wanted something "different". Food was fresh and the employees worked fast. I will say, the portion sizes aren't the biggest (got about a teaspoon of Edamame as a frame of reference) but when it's all combined, it's a pretty filling meal. Have the option of rice or noodles as your base with toppings, with upcharges for Avocado etc. If youve never had poke, . Think of it as deconstructed sushi. Overall, I feel like the quality and value balanced out. I went for the spicy tuna and spicy salmon. Was delish!

Let me start by saying that ordering this with a hangover was one of the WORST things I could have ever done. I have wanted to try this food and while it was really good, it didn't sit well with my situation at the time. I loved the flavor of my poke bowl and miso soup. I would definitely try this again on a day where I feel 100%. We ordered through Uber eats and it got here super fast and packaged nicely. The poke bowls are a really good size for the money. Lots of protein so you're not getting ripped off there. You can also mix and match your base so I was able to do half rice and half noodles.

1.5* I would not come back. My friend and I came and attempted to do a pickup, but unfortunately their phone app did not work for us to order, so we needed to go in to order. We ordered our food to-go, so cannot speak on the dining in experience, but the establishment itself looked clean. Unfortunately, since the focus is on the food, pokeworks fell short. My friend and I both ordered the large poke bowl each. The proteins we ordered were shrimp, salmon, spicy salmon, and tuna between the two of us. Out of the poke places we have tried, we both agreed that the fish here was the fishiest (not good) we have ever had. This typically indicated that the fish is not that fresh. We usually devour our poke bowls because we are big poke fans, but this one, we struggled with and did not end up finishing. This was not due to the portion size either, the large poke bowl here ended up being comparable to a regular at other poke places that we have been before. I would not recommend, and would not return.

I went here with my coworkers. It is in an upcoming location as there are new shops opening up. You have a choice of bowls there is medium which is a choice of 2 meats or large with a choice of 3 meats. There is a custom bowl you can order as well. I got the choice of 3 meats for $13.00. I chose the salad, but you can choose rice or burrito. You can choose any topping you like, but they just give you a small portion like a spoonful. Overall, the poke salad bowl was awesome and spicy. The fish was fresh and good. My wife will definitely enjoy this place, but it is not as good as the one in Folsom.

New poke place in Richardson restaurant row.

Pokeworks is the newest establishment added to the Richardson restaurant row off of Central Expressway. This place is convenient and accessible to anyone living in Richardson as well as those passing through. The restaurant is small. They have indoor dining that could seat a few people. If you prefer to eat outside, you can always head to the shared outside area for the Richardson restaurant row. It is at the far north end of the complex. There are several picnic tables in a nicely laid out area. Pokeworks will pack your items to go and give you either a fork or chopsticks based on your preference. The menu boards provide multiple options. You can build your own bowl, nachos or burritos or you can go with one of the many signature works listed. I opted for the spicy ahi which was good as posted, but I added several items that were not included like avocado, seaweed salad and crab salad. I appreciated that the server was willing to modify the bowl slightly to my desire. Some cool things that stand out at this place compared to others: -Combos - Who doesn't love a combo meal that comes with a main dish, side and drink for a decent price? -Desserts - OMG that have Dole Pineapple Whip! I didn't get it, but I should have. They also have coco mango haupia - another favorite I should have tried. Drinks - They offer ALOHA drinks. Lilikoi was available! These are tough to find on the continent. -Signature works - They have taken the guess work out for newbies who don't know what works well together. Choose from a variety of standard bowls. -Protein Choices - If you don't like fish, especially raw tuna or salmon, you can choose a vegetarian option with no meat or you can have chicken instead. Great for family and friends who get roped into going to a restaurant and realize they really don't like what's on the menu. There is also the option of going to one of the many restaurants in the row and then meeting at an outdoor picnic bench to dine together. This is not my favorite poke place, but I love the location, the price is comparable to other poke places, and they have some cool items I can't necessarily get elsewhere. I will probably return and bring my husband next time.

Located in Richardson on the NE corner of E Arapaho and N Plano Rd, this location of Nora Asian Fresh is nestled between Best Donuts and a Nails & Spa. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, this franchise has 15 locations in Arizona and 3 in Texas (Richardson, Plano, Austin). I'm not sure how long this location has been opened, but the very small shoppe corner that they're in appears to dated and doesn't scream "come have dine here". But as the old adage goes, looks can be deceiving. The dining area is simple yet inviting with the unique wood like vertical panels filling the entire far wall. There are no booths, just table and chair throughout. You place your order at the counter using the large digital menu on the wall. After placing your order you can help yourself to their drink station then pick your table. They will soon bring your meals to your table. As noted in their name, Nora Asian Fresh prides themselves on making everything fresh daily. I saw the young lady who was taking orders in the back making dumplings when I went to ask for take out containers. Their menu provides a nice mix of "fusion" dishes which really just means they have a little bit of everything. Their appetizer menu includes such items as eggrolls, edamame, dumplings, jalapeno poppers and squid salad just to name some. Their Bowl meals which come with steamed rice include orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, broccoli beef, pork katsu with curry, teriyaki salmon as well as poke or unagi bowls. On the Ramen & Asian list are miso, tonkotsu or seafood ramen, fried rice, chow mein chicken, chicken biryani, pad thai and Malaysian noodle. Finally there's a long list about 30 different sushi rolls. Jerry and J ordered the Orange Chicken Bowl. Katie tried the chicken fried rice. Jeanne got the Pad Thai and I tried the Malaysian Noodle (of course). We also tried their chicken egg rolls and chicken dumplings. Egg rolls and dumplings: Both were a tad overcooked and their skins were just a little too dry and crunchy. They should've been taken out of the fryer about 30 seconds earlier. The fillings were delicious and they were served with dipping sauces. Orange Chicken Bowl: Presentation was nice with fresh boiled broccoli in a large bowl. Both said it was good. J said "It was pretty good best I've had in a while. It wasn't too sweet and had good flavor." I tried some and I agreed. It was overly battered like some places like to make it and the taste on it was delicious. Not overly sweet and was even a little tart. Yom Yom Yom. It was a large portion, but J finished the entire bowl. Jerry and the rest of us had enough for another meal. Chicken fried rice: I didn't get to taste, but it looked good. Katie like everything about it except the way the chicken was cooked. Note that Katie is very particular about her the way she wants her chicken cooked. Also a large portion. Pad Thai: Noodles, shredded carrots, green onions tossed in a wok and garnished with fresh bean sprouts and crushed peanuts, Jeanne enjoyed it but was surprised they didn't ask how spicy she wanted it. Malaysian Noodles: I guessed from the photos in the menu that this was Char Kway Teow and I was right. It is a popular Malaysian stir-fried noodle dish using flat rice noodles. Their cook did an excellent job. It had a nice smoky with a savory sweet taste. It is tossed in a wok with eggs, bean sprouts, chives and in my case, shrimp. It was outstanding! Yom Yom Yom Yom. There are many other "Malaysian" dishes, but if you have to choose only one to put on your menu, this would be a good choice and they do it quite well. Personally I could eat there every week especially since they have so many other dishes to sample. But unfortunately I live 639 miles away. Thanks for a nice lunch Nora!

I'd like to start by saying this is some of my favorite gyoza I've ever had, including when I visited Japan. This is a must get. The sauce was delightful, the outside was perfect with a crunchy bottom and soft top, and the filling was delicious. Well worth $7. My bf got some calamari ring tempura, which was fine but we got a small portion compared to when we usually get calamari. There was only like 3 big rings and 2 small on the plate. I also got a Gyu sushi to try. Was it worth $4.50? Maybe, maybe not but I enjoyed it and it was a much higher quality than the beef sushi at say Kura. Now my Beef Yakisoba was questionable honestly. Smaller portion than I'm used to, the beef tasted awkwardly like hamburg and was chewy, and the sauce it was stir fried in was really sweet and thick, almost like honey. Someone might like it but for $18 it wasn't what I expected and wasn't to my tastes Bf got a Charashi bowl for $25 and stated it was mid as expected for the price. I think we would return, but IMO our food was a mixed bag.
