Visited this place looking for a good lunch special and was disappointed. There's no Ac so it's very hot on the inside which explained why it's empty maybe. The food was old and reheated. There's an extra charge for rice . I tried the honey chicken. It wasn't good at all. Wasted calories. The customer service wasn't great and the food didn't have much flavor. I wouldn't recommend or visit again. There's better options in the area

Got the Honey Chicken & Steam Rice for lunch. The chicken was good, not too sweet. A bit overdone, but ate all of it. Very happy they gave 2 egg rolls.

Food is excellent! Got the house fried lunch special to go, medium spicy, fantastic! Service was quick and efficient.

I've ordered the Kung Pao Tofu ($9.25 before tip and delivery fees) dish from them twice now and have not been disappointed. I ordered it extra spicy each time and it was right on! It includes a pint of your choice of rice. Again, if you order it extra spicy, they will make you very happy! There was plenty of zucchini, carrots, 'shrooms, onions, and bell peppers. They didn't skimp on the tofu either. The first time I ordered, the amount of peanuts seemed to be lacking, but I requested extra peanuts on my next order and they made this guy happy! I really don't have anything to complain about - the sauce was superb, and all of the ingredients were hot and fresh. Five stars from this dude!!!

This is a typical Chinese family run place in the neighborhood. Because it is near Cityline so they do get good foot traffic. I stopped by this place for a work day lunch takeout. I called ahead so it was ready when I got there. The inside is actually bigger than I thought with some seats. The food is standard, right at $10 for a lunch portion is not too bad. The white rice was a little hard but fresh. The chicken is not too bad, and the flavor was good. I may ask for more spicy next time. I would come back here for its value and convenience.

This review is based on their new pricing. Food is still fine. First, they got rid of their daily lunch special prices. Covid and inflation ok fine. Now, I'm getting charged extra for white rice? Yes, white rice... not fried. Their new menu says "entrees served with choice of rice". This is the first time I actually paid attention to my costs and missed my opportunity to question it before I accepted the order.

I came back to the hotel a bit later than expected on my final full day in the Dallas area. Traffic was more congested than expected during rush hour. It was raining. I also had to fill my rental car up with gas before heading off to the airport the following day. My boyfriend had come back to our room from work before I did. He looked exhausted. At first, we had thought about going to dinner. After looking at how tired he was, I suggested that we order in. He liked that idea on a soggy night. He likes when I do all the heavy-lifting ordering for him. He trusts my judgment and I like doing food research. Naturally, I still consult with him, so it doesn't look like I am forcing him to eat all the foods that I like... haha! I found Bund Wok. Had I not visited Shanghai, I wouldn't have known what the Bund is. It's the waterfront area that wasn't too far away from where I stayed. We ordered the spicy garlic chicken, shrimp with green beans, and pan-fried chicken dumplings. I ordered these dishes on my Yelp app through GrubHub. I'd say roughly forty minutes later, the delivery person showed up at our hotel door. We both chowed down while chatting about our day. The spicy garlic chicken was on point. It was spicy and done right. You got huge slices of white chicken meat, with carrots and other vegetables. We got rice with the dish, which was perfect. The shrimp with green beans was so good. The beans were crispy and tender. The shrimp were perfect. I loved this dish a ton. The pan-fried chicken dumplings were exactly how I expected them to be. They were perfectly done and had plenty of flavourful filling. We loved our dinner so much that we didn't have any food leftover. Yes, the food was that delicious. We were also hungry. If you want yummy food that reminds you of being in Shanghai, this restaurant is a good choice. (83)

I didn't feel like cooking today so I decided to order takeout. I placed my order through DoorDash. I chose this place because, on DoorDash, they had a 4.8 rating. Maybe in ordered the wrong thing but, even my 2 star rating is gracious. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, chicken dumplings and crab rangoon (pictured). Crab rangoon: Virtually NO filling and fried HARD. Can't tell you if they taste good or not. There was hardly any filling whatsoever! Sweet and sour chicken: The chicken was clearly not fresh. Cooked way earlier today. The sweet and sour sauce was runny and not very good. Fried rice: Looked and tasted like rice with soy sauce on it. They charge extra for fried vs. steamed rice and the "fried" rice doesnt have any veggies, eggs, or flavor. Chicken dumplings: Probably the only decent thing I had but still very subpar and the sauce was too salty to even enjoy. Do not recommend

But the reviews were suspiciously glowing, so curiosity (and hunger) won. We pulled up and I took one look at the building: older, unremarkable, zero curb appeal. Classic "meh." Inside, several large round tables with lazy Susans, red tablecloths, and Chinese lanterns. They first sat us in a booth but I requested later on to be moved to a large round table since we ordered A LOT. But back to when we first sat in the booth - As a Chinese woman, the second I spotted the older seats with ripped upholstery, it hit me like a culinary prophecy: this place was going to serve me some incredible, authentic Chinese food. I don't know what it is, but there's an inverse law of Chinese restaurants: the less fancy the exterior (and the more the booth looks like it's survived several natural disasters), the better the food. Apparently they skip Instagram-worthy renovations and put the budget where it belongs--on the plate! This is now hands down in my top 3 favorite Chinese restaurant in North Dallas - I can even say it's on the very top. I haven't forgotten about the staff. They deserve 10 stars. Super nice!

We ate egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and soup, followed up by orange beef and beef fried rice. The crab Rangoon could have used more stuffings, but what was there was good. I thoroughly enjoyed the orange beef. The tenderness of the beef and the taste of the sauce was on point. Definitely don't pass on this one if you are craving Chinese food. Note: they do serve peanuts before the meal, so watch for that with allergies!

We arrived on a Wednesday evening around 7 p.m., and surprisingly, we were the only customers there, considering it was peak dinner time. We also discovered that we needed to pre-order the duck in advance. Luckily, the lady informed us that there was one available for us, but it would take about 30 minutes. We ordered the crispy cucumber salad, xiao long bao, and the dry-fried string beans. The dry-fried string beans were my favorite. The string beans had a delightful crisp texture and a flavorful taste. The cucumber salad was also good, but some parts were a bit soggy. The XLB skin was too thick and chewy, and it didn't taste like the usual soup dumplings, which was disappointing. I was excited for the duck, but I was honestly disappointed when it arrived. The portions were quite small, considering it was a whole duck. It wasn't carved tableside, which was a letdown. Some parts of the duck were dry, and the skin wasn't crispy enough. To add to the disappointment, they charge extra for almost everything. If you want more pancakes or their homemade duck sauce (which tasted like black bean sauce), you'll have to pay an additional $5. Another thing to note is that they are BYOB, so you can bring your own alcohol. However, the menu pictures on Yelp are outdated, and they only offer whole Peking duck, not half orders. Overall, the food was just okay, and I'll probably try a different spot when I'm in the mood for duck again.

One of the best preparations yet. The Singapore noodle combo and Xao Long Bao did not disappoint... More importantly, the service we received was attentive, courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt. Sadly, the eggplant with garlic sauce is the ONLY reason a star is withheld for this review...it detracted from traditional Chinese style; notes of garlic eviscerated by the chef's sweetening to satisfy an American palette...Why fix something that's unbroken?...I get it. The restaurant has to cater to its customers who populate this mix use (business/lease residential) area at the NW corner of Alma and Hwy 121, but doesn't that limit its draw? Guess we'll just have to head either further south on Central (HWY 75) to the Legacy & Spring Creek areas or further west to the Preston and Warren Pkwy Frisco TX area to satisfy our authentic Chinese cuisine food cravings.
