I mean this as a compliment, but this is the best version of 'mall Chinese' that you'll find. Massive portions served crispy and steaming hot. Gyoza was excellent. Definitely recommend, disregard the mismatched interior. read more

Visited this place looking for a good lunch special and was disappointed. There's no Ac so it's very hot on the inside which explained why it's empty maybe. The food was old and reheated. There's an extra charge for rice . I tried the honey chicken. It wasn't good at all. Wasted calories. The customer service wasn't great and the food didn't have much flavor. I wouldn't recommend or visit again. There's better options in the area read more

Ordered via UberEats, have not dined in. I had a craving for comforting soup and spotted the Velvet Corn Egg Drop soup listed on Bund Wok's menu. To hit my order perks, I also ordered the Tomato Egg Soup and Crab Rangoons. Egg Drop soup: This was the best part of the order. It was very tasty, arrived still hot, and satisfied the craving I had! Tomato Egg Soup: I had been hoping this would be a tomato broth soup but it was not (the menu didn't have any description). It was a mild broth with egg and tomato chunks. Because of the way the egg was cooked, the smell was awful when I opened the container. Which was a shame because the broth wasn't bad. Unfortunately though, the smell permeated the soup and made it mostly inedible. Crab rangoons: They were ok. I don't really like the flat rangoons and prefer the ones that look like little crowns or bags. The flat ones are way too dry and more dough than filling. Overall, if you just want a good egg drop soup, definitely check them out! But everything else was eh. read more

I've ordered the Kung Pao Tofu ($9.25 before tip and delivery fees) dish from them twice now and have not been disappointed. I ordered it extra spicy each time and it was right on! It includes a pint of your choice of rice. Again, if you order it extra spicy, they will make you very happy! There was plenty of zucchini, carrots, 'shrooms, onions, and bell peppers. They didn't skimp on the tofu either. The first time I ordered, the amount of peanuts seemed to be lacking, but I requested extra peanuts on my next order and they made this guy happy! I really don't have anything to complain about - the sauce was superb, and all of the ingredients were hot and fresh. Five stars from this dude!!! read more

This is a typical Chinese family run place in the neighborhood. Because it is near Cityline so they do get good foot traffic. I stopped by this place for a work day lunch takeout. I called ahead so it was ready when I got there. The inside is actually bigger than I thought with some seats. The food is standard, right at $10 for a lunch portion is not too bad. The white rice was a little hard but fresh. The chicken is not too bad, and the flavor was good. I may ask for more spicy next time. I would come back here for its value and convenience. read more

7/30/22: put an order in online- it looks like GrubHub is the only option for delivery. I'm not too happy about that as today they again delivered to the wrong address. My address is clearly stated, but they go to the house next door because "thats what the GPS said was the delivery address". For this reason, I WILL NOT use "contactless delivery" again, because they drop the order somewhere, and drive off before I can get to the door, which was maybe 10 seconds. And I can see my porch from where I am sitting as I have the front door open and the solid glass storm door I can see anyone even walking up my sidewalk. I also don't like all the extra fees. They add on a delivery fee and a service fee. And I am giving them a tip as well. It's just too much. Simplify, please. On to the food: Both the Chicken Egg Roll/鸡卷 $1.59 and the Vegetable Spring Roll(2)/菜卷 $2.00 are very small. If you want these you should probably order double. And the Shrimp and Scallops in Hunan Style/湖南虾干贝 $15.99 had maybe 4 shrimp in the whole dish. Pretty much just a whole lot of cabbage, a bit of carrot, a couple of small half florets of broccoli, and maybe 6 tiny mushrooms. I ordered medium spicy and it was maybe a 2 on a scale of 1-10. Weak. I won't bother ordering this again. I used to really like this place, but it is really scrimping on the ingredients, and at $16.00 for an entree, I expect better. read more

This review is based on their new pricing. Food is still fine. First, they got rid of their daily lunch special prices. Covid and inflation ok fine. Now, I'm getting charged extra for white rice? Yes, white rice... not fried. Their new menu says "entrees served with choice of rice". This is the first time I actually paid attention to my costs and missed my opportunity to question it before I accepted the order. read more

I came back to the hotel a bit later than expected on my final full day in the Dallas area. Traffic was more congested than expected during rush hour. It was raining. I also had to fill my rental car up with gas before heading off to the airport the following day. My boyfriend had come back to our room from work before I did. He looked exhausted. At first, we had thought about going to dinner. After looking at how tired he was, I suggested that we order in. He liked that idea on a soggy night. He likes when I do all the heavy-lifting ordering for him. He trusts my judgment and I like doing food research. Naturally, I still consult with him, so it doesn't look like I am forcing him to eat all the foods that I like... haha! I found Bund Wok. Had I not visited Shanghai, I wouldn't have known what the Bund is. It's the waterfront area that wasn't too far away from where I stayed. We ordered the spicy garlic chicken, shrimp with green beans, and pan-fried chicken dumplings. I ordered these dishes on my Yelp app through GrubHub. I'd say roughly forty minutes later, the delivery person showed up at our hotel door. We both chowed down while chatting about our day. The spicy garlic chicken was on point. It was spicy and done right. You got huge slices of white chicken meat, with carrots and other vegetables. We got rice with the dish, which was perfect. The shrimp with green beans was so good. The beans were crispy and tender. The shrimp were perfect. I loved this dish a ton. The pan-fried chicken dumplings were exactly how I expected them to be. They were perfectly done and had plenty of flavourful filling. We loved our dinner so much that we didn't have any food leftover. Yes, the food was that delicious. We were also hungry. If you want yummy food that reminds you of being in Shanghai, this restaurant is a good choice. (83) read more

I didn't feel like cooking today so I decided to order takeout. I placed my order through DoorDash. I chose this place because, on DoorDash, they had a 4.8 rating. Maybe in ordered the wrong thing but, even my 2 star rating is gracious. I ordered sweet and sour chicken, chicken dumplings and crab rangoon (pictured). Crab rangoon: Virtually NO filling and fried HARD. Can't tell you if they taste good or not. There was hardly any filling whatsoever! Sweet and sour chicken: The chicken was clearly not fresh. Cooked way earlier today. The sweet and sour sauce was runny and not very good. Fried rice: Looked and tasted like rice with soy sauce on it. They charge extra for fried vs. steamed rice and the "fried" rice doesnt have any veggies, eggs, or flavor. Chicken dumplings: Probably the only decent thing I had but still very subpar and the sauce was too salty to even enjoy. Do not recommend read more

Some of the best Chinese take out you'll find in the area. This has been our go to for many years, and there's no reason for us to look further. While dining in is an option with its homey ambiance, we've always used delivery or take away. The orders are always correct and the food is always amazing. The orange chicken, combo Lo mein and fried rice are our personal favorites and if you want a little heat, they offer five or so levels. It's really really well done from top to bottom. ... I wanted classic chicken wings, but was delightfully surprised. Very friendly service, great Feng Shui, positive chi in the building... Purchased fried rice to meet the card minimum of $8.39. Thet weren't traditional good wings... but YO. These were delicious fam. I felt like RZA's aunt seasoned and fried these wings with the proper level of finesse. THE BEST!!! Finally found a Chinese place I like here in Texas! I live about 8 miles away and they still deliver on third-party apps and somehow it always arrives piping hot! My favorite thing to get there is their pork fried rice and vegetable egg foo young...super amazing! I like the fact that you can customize your space level on the menu items as well. !!! Their orange chicken is amazing too...they use white meat chicken which I love! I've had their black pepper beef which is delicious. Oh and don't forget to get the wonton soup... It's the best I've ever had and I'm not just saying that! I'd rather eat from this place than P.F. Chang's or any of those Chinese restaurants that we all know of! Serving size are massive but I'm definitely not complaining read more

I've visited this location pre-pandemic and remembered it being really good. I decided to visit since I was in the area and was really disappointed. I ordered the Jalapeño chicken, but it mainly a huge pile of onions (see photos below), I mean I like onions, but not an entire pile of them! On top of that, there was very little chicken in the dish. I also ordered chicken egg rolls which I remembered much differently, they were just the typical cheaply filled egg rolls, I didn't even see any chicken inside. Anywho, the fried rice was decent, but just plain rice, nothing special. They do have lots of options and a pretty well priced lunch menu ($6.89 for the special of the day) and a pretty robust drink menu. read more

I love their special fried rice and a great go to quick restaurant. Food is fresh! Very close to my apartment and just love them.

Angry Chinese lady running the joint. They close at 9:30 but wouldn't let us eat at 9:10 inside. Szechuan Beef had about 25% beef and the rest was filler, mostly zucchini. We were happy to find Bund Wok! Favorite is the Eggplant in garlic sauce and the Baby bok choy. Love that the rice is separate, and you can get what you need! We've enjoyed the Sweet and Sour chicken too. When you get it To Go, they put the sauce on the side, so it's not making it all soggy! Also enjoy the Hot and Sour Soup. So if you're craving something Chinese, give them a try. read more

This is a Shanghai based restaurant that opened about two months ago. They're pretty much located between Fry's and the Dart station in the northeast corner of 75 and George Bush Turnpike. This place is good for a quick lunch with coworkers or a stop-by with friends over the weekend. You can drop by to dine-in or take-out. Service - 4 Service is good - attentive, polite, not too overbearing, and quick. We went for lunch right before noon and ordered two rice dishes off of the lunch specials. Both dishes came out within 2 minutes piping hot. Ambience - 3 A typical quick meal restaurant. Most tables have 4 seats. There are some pictures of dishes on the walls behind the counter but none of the good stuff. There's one TV in the back of the restaurant. There are lots of tables and plenty of seating. However there isn't much space in the area between the entrance and counter. If there are a lot of take-out orders and people stand around in line or are waiting then it can get pretty crowded for a bit but it'll clear up soon because their service is fast. Food - 4 They have two types of cuisine - Shanghai and Asian fusion (mostly Chinese). I've tried their rice dishes and noodle dishes. Rice dishes come with meat + veggies on top of rice. Noodles are either noodle soups or dry noodles. The two rice dishes, on their lunch special menu, that I tried (braised beef over rice, braised pork over rice) were both very good. The noodle soup and dry noodles that I tried were too oily for my taste so I didn't like them much. They also have a large variety of the group ordering style dishes for sharing and bubble tea. They have both Chinese and English on their menus. For those who can't read Chinese, most of their Shanghai foods have the word "Shanghai" in their names. Price - 5 Lunch special prices go from $6.95 to $7.95. The sharing dishes range from $4 to $15. They currently have a special in which they give 10% discount if you check-in on Yelp. read more

We chose Bund Wok based on reviews.. and here's or experience. Ordered on door dash. Estimated wait was 1 hour.. got it food in 20 minutes. That's worth one star Second star was Chicken egg roll. Yummy. And it stops there. Egg drop soup was watery. Triple meat combo lol mein was almost tasteless and noodles were mushy. Orange chicken was 99 bready with barely any meat inside. Meat dumplings were cold and chewy upon arrival. Bottom line: Won't order from them again. Fast delivery but overall food was terrible. read more

I was ordering Chinese food on Uber Eats, and the place where I regularly order was closed, so Bund Wok was one of the options. I ordered Sesame Chicken, Fried Rice and Spring Rolls, and by looking at the Yelp reviews, the Spicy Chicken Wings were also a recommendation, so I included them in the order. Everything was delicious, this might become my favorite Uber Eats Chinese go-to place. Sesame Chicken portion was huge, chicken was well cooked, and flavor on spot, fried rice was also well prepared, it was only rice and some egg, no vegetables, which is ok for me. Spicy Chicken wings were also delicious, they were six wings, well fried, in a mix of onions, serrano pepper, and crushed pepper. I will for sure try them again. read more
