However, the past two times we shared this place with another couple who loves sushi just as much as my husband and I do. One reason we kept coming back, aside from all the delicious food, was how they labeled their menu with the top food allergens. As a food allergy mom, I appreciated this so much! Especially when I was still breastfeeding, I had to eliminate all of my daughter's allergies to breastfeed safely. The main ones I had to look out for was gluten, dairy, egg, nuts, and sesame seeds. The safe was aware of my limitations and shared empathy, not annoyance like other places. T Thankfully I'm out of that stage so I can eat anything on the menu now. We would like to take our daughter here some day, she loves sushi a lot! But being only 5 years old, we'll need to save it for a special occasion. We get carried away when we come here. The food here is top notch and worth every penny, so we'll have to save up. Cooked dishes we always order: Brussel sprouts, steamed mushrooms, hamachi collar and miso cod. All the nigiri/sushi is fresh and you can't ignore the specials or seasonal menu!

Having lived in Hawaii, we ate sushi, sashimi, and poke on a regular basis. Finding spots like this allows us to create new memories while also feeling a bit nostalgic for the flavors we love. We might have gone a little overboard, but everything was incredible! We ordered the Crunchy Eel Roll, Hamachi Nigiri, and Tuna Nigiri, along with two of the EBESU Course menus. My husband had the Chirashi Don and I went with the Toro Tekka Don. Love, love, love. As you can see, it was a lot of food, but every single piece was cooked and cut to perfection. The dishes are very easy to share, and I think next time we'll lean into that more so we can sample even more of the menu. If you are looking for authentic, high-quality Japanese food, this is the place to go!

The ebi robata was not my favorite, the shrimp has quite a kick in the throat. The chicken thigh robata was really good. Excellent flavor. Salmon belly was nice and fresh too. We came to celebrate a birthday and they were kind enough to put her sushi in a sushi boat. Service was excellent, our waitress was fantastic. I'd like to start by saying this is some of my favorite gyoza I've ever had, including when I visited Japan. This is a must get. The sauce was delightful, the outside was perfect with a crunchy bottom and soft top, and the filling was delicious. Well worth $7. My bf got some calamari ring tempura, which was fine but we got a small portion compared to when we usually get calamari. There was only like 3 big rings and 2 small on the plate. I also got a Gyu sushi to try. Was it worth $4.50? Maybe, maybe not but I enjoyed it and it was a much higher quality than the beef sushi at say Kura. Now my Beef Yakisoba was questionable honestly. Smaller portion than I'm used to, the beef tasted awkwardly like hamburg and was chewy, and the sauce it was stir fried in was really sweet and thick, almost like honey. Someone might like it but for $18 it wasn't what I expected and wasn't to my tastes Bf got a Charashi bowl for $25 and stated it was mid as expected for the price. I think we would return, but IMO our food was a mixed bag.

Sushi Spot is part of a food court of sorts, all Asian cuisines, yet the warm wood chairs give it a very different feel than mall food courts. We ordered from a cool and up to date touch screen. Luckily one of my friends knew to get miso soup to go along ; it's a nice counterpoint, especially when the AC is going strong. We did not have long to look around before our order was ready. My friends tried to help me with the chopsticks, but luckily forks are available. We got a California Roll, a Dragon Roll and a Crunch Roll- I think, check photo below. All were delicious, but the Crunch Roll was possibly my favorite. Don't miss this if you are in the area!

To dissect the Chicken Teriyaki Bento: the chicken teriyaki had a nice flavor and wasn't dry (which is a pet-peeve of mine), the salad had a nice, citrusy dressing that just opens up your sinuses, and the gyoza was very juicy. A very filling meal, to say the least. The Unagi Don was delectable, with every bite a creamy and umami mix. Then, the "I Love You" roll literally just melted in your mouth. Service: No complaints! We were seated immediately upon walking in, and our orders were taken and food arrived promptly. Virtually no wait on a Friday afternoon. Ambiance: Casual, traditional. Parking: Ample parking. When I pointed out the mistake and asked for them to be replaced, the staff refused to take the incorrect order off my bill. Instead of fixing their own kitchen error, they forced me to pay for both the ruined rolls and the remake effectively charging me double for one meal. Making an order mistake is one thing, but making the customer pay twice to correct your own error is completely unacceptable. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects its customers and stands behind its service.

Geisha - 3/5, huge roll, but the spicy tuna was not raw. It was cooked, which gave a texture that was akin to being canned or from a bag. Ocean 21 - 5/5, my fave of the night! The Salmon sushi set was fresh. Of course it's not the highest quality salmon, but for the convenience and price, it's at the level that I'd expect.
